I can't express enough how happy I am with the delicate, comforting and caring service I was provided by Setting Sun! I lost my sweetheart... my best girl and my best friend this past weekend. Although she went peacefully in my arms and had a wonderful life, the decisions of what to do afterwards can be confusing; especially with the emotional conflicts we all face when we lose something special in our lives.Come Monday, I had planned to bury her in my backyard. Traditionally, this is an option that many people pursue. However, the reality of digging a hole that can accommodate a decent size box, and hope you don't run into roots or any other location obstruction in the process, is a daunting task. And obviously, time is not on your side once the transition to the afterlife has transpired. Come Tuesday morning, I was still undecided on a location attempt in my backyard and I knew I had to make a decision. Just the emotional back and forth takes its toll quickly.I had been given the contact information to Setting Sun a couple days prior. I decided to give them a call and at least get some information. I was greeted with a real person that answered the phone (Ronnie), and after just a few moments of discussing the situation, I was totally comfortable with moving forward with their services. I chose to have the pick up service provided by them, primarily because I dreaded the thought of the emotional drive home after dropping her off myself...Their prompt turnaround time alleviated so much emotional distress! In addition, when I received the call that the services were complete, Ronnie said, "ButterCup is ready to come home!". My eyes watered over and my frown turned into a smile. My Buttercup was hand delivered in a beautiful little box with a beautiful name plate, as well as a card; and all is well now! The grieving process can now begin. And let's face it, had I chosen the burial option, I may still be digging that hole, with my sweetheart wrapped up in her blankets that she passed with, placed gently in a box, wrapped in plastic and still sitting in my living room...Thank you guys so much for the service you provide!

Setting Sun took such great care of our boy, Buddy. Losing him one was of the hardest things we have had to do and they were so patient during the process. Our boy was back home the next day. There was a great selection of optional urns, big and small, with unbeatable prices. Our daughter also picked out a necklace to carry him around with her at all times. I highly recommend Ronnie and his wife to take care of your beloved pet.

Kathi & RonnieAnswered back to Facebook Messanger within 24hrs to general questions.Response via phone link during business hours was immediate. Talking to Ronnie was clear and concise. Planned pick up at our vet's office with drop off at our home. Costs were exactly as described.Their turn around time is impecable. They are very compassionate about their profession. They gave us peice of mind and comfort knowing we had our girl back home within 24hrs.Highly Recommend for your fur- loved ones eternal rest.

The Adams are absolutely amazing!! We unexpectedly lost our chihuahua on Sunday evening. I panicked, not knowing if I’d be able to find a place to take him that night. After searching, I found Setting Sun Pet Crematory. I called, and Mr. Adam’s got us in that night, and was so caring, friendly, and helpful from drop off all the way til pickup. Our dogs remains were back with us less than 24 hours later!! His urn came in the cutest little bag made by Mrs. Adam’s, and had the sweetest personalized cards and poems in them. I cannot thank the Adams enough for going above and beyond in what they do!! They were able to provide us with some peace and comfort after such an unexpected loss. I reccomend this place for your pets last needs. I took my cat here and the ride there was beautiful and therapeutic. The owner was great and I knew my girl would be taken care of and treated right. Also I thought it was great that he will come and pick your pet up if you cant and return them. Extra money ofcourse but I thought it was really awesome to offer for people during their grief.

Ronnie is such a sweet amazing guy. Words can’t describe how much a wonderful person he is. Definitely has a heart of gold to do what he does. I didn’t get to meet his wife but I’m truly sure she is the same. My best friend of 26 years had to make the decision no one wants to make for her family dog Esme. She had to be put to rest after fighting cancer since may of this year. It took her fast while they were hoping to have just a little more time. Of course the decision had to be made on Saturday night to take her to the emergency vet to have her pass away peacefully and pain free. My mother in law told me about setting sun and how she has alway took her fur babies there to be taken care of. She has always spoken so highly of Ronnie and Kathi and now I know why. My best friend and I was so relax and happy driving down the driveway cause it’s so beautiful and peaceful. Esme would have loved it. Ronnie is truly amazing person after him and my friend got Esme out of the car he gave both of us a hug. That hug was one of the best hugs someone could receive at a time like this! Thank you both for all you do for everyone’s fur babies. We are so lucky to have people like you doing this for us! I will recommend y’all to everyone that needs your services. If there is anything we can do for you both let us know cause y’all are truly amazing people and we thank you!!

My family is so incredibly thankful for Ronnie and his services. We tragically and unexpectedly lost our beagle, Buster, the day after Thanksgiving. Yesterday we had to say goodbye for now to our 16 year old baby Khloe. Setting Sun was there for us in our time of need and grief. Setting Sun picked her up, and brought her home this morning in a beautiful wooden box with her name and everything we asked them to put on name plate. Ron was so kind and easygoing. Our very sweet 13 year old black lab crossed the rainbow bridge around 10:30 last night. I called Setting Sun ahead of time to let them know he would be ready for pick up in the morning. I received a call around 12:30 today that Jackson was finished and ready to come home. We live in Winchester and Ronnie delivered him to us, which I was not expecting. I can not say enough good things about Setting Sun. The service was top notch and Jackson’s final resting place is beautiful. Pricing is very reasonable for the level of service you receive. Thank you so much, Ronnie! I will never consider another crematory again and refer you to everyone I know. You made a sad situation very positive.

I can not say more amazing things about them. I lost my baby Karma yesterday, and they made things a little easier. I was able to get her home in less than 24 hours. They are so kind and try to make things as easy as possible. They have many different urns to choose from, and give you beautiful poems to come home with. They found a beautiful picture of a pitbull that looked just like my Karma, and put it on the front of one of the poems.

This is long overdue as I lost two pets very close together in 2018. The Setting Sun owners are angels in my opinion and are very compassionate and helpful. The drive itself to the residence is beautiful and therapeutic. There is a nice selection of urns/statues to choose from. I highly recommend them if you find yourself needing pet cremation.

The Adams are the most caring people I have met in a long time. I called Mrs Adams and she listened to me as I recounted the accident. My wife and I took our dog out to them on Friday afternoon and I picked Riley up that night.Mr. Adams took his time to listen to my wife and expressed his condolences for the loss of our dog. He did not rush us and allowed us to look at everything in his crematory.The amazing thing about Setting Sun, is that each animal is done separately, unlike many other places where animals are done in groups. You know, you are getting back your animal only. The price is also much lower than many of the other places. Very reasonable and fair.Once the process is completed, your loved one is brought into their home, placed in a beautiful bag that is made by Mrs. Adams and a beautiful card is placed inside of the bag. Everything they do, shows they care deeply for animals and their owners.I would 100% recommend Setting Sun to anyone.

What a great experience in a very hard time..Our 16 year old pomeranian passed away on a Saturday evening. We were devastated and didn't want to keep his body over the holiday weekend. We called Mr. Adams at 5pm on a Saturday. He was nice and super compassionate and we were able to bring our pup to him at 630pm on a Saturday. He sat with us thru paperwork and options. Our little guy was ready to come home Sunday afternoon and Mr. Adams even made special accommodations for me to get him with the impending weather as Moday roads were probably going to be bad. He was ready in a beautiful box in a nice bag and a beautiful card with a picture of a pomeranian that looks JUST LIKE OUR BOY.. Thank you so much for making a difficult task so super easy on us.

I can not say enough good things about Setting Sun Pet Crematory.I had a very unexpected loss of a beloved family member and after calling to enquire about services at many different establishments chose Setting Sun.Mr. Adams was beyond understanding, helpful, kind and compassionate. He was patient with us as we were choosing the different options for our family member and even was totally available for us to come by at 8:00pm on a Tuesday evening. He assured us that the service would be completed that very evening and that we could pick up our pet the next day.Their facility is incredibly well kept and very inviting, allowing for a peaceful environment to make what can be hard choices when grieving.The customer service is unparrelled and the costs of service's were by far the best in the area.I highly recommend Setting Sun Pet Crematory for anyone who is in need after the loss of a pet.

Tomorrow will be two weeks that my rocky boy died in our arms at almost 6pm . It's taking me this long to find the words to express my experience with sitting sun . I can't thank the owners for the kindness and understanding from letting me bring my boy to them in middle of a late evening to letting stay as long as needed till I was ready to leave my boy and the fast service of get the services done and my rocky back to me the next day . I appreciate the cards and kind words that was included. Mr . Adams and family are great people.

Lost my cat Redneck on Friday Jan 20,2023 . I met Ron at his shop and paid him . I had Ron pick up Redneck remains from my vet's office that evening . On Saturday Jan 21 I got a call at 10:30am asking if it was ok to drop him off to me. Instead went to meet Ron at his home and brought my friend home . I am so grateful for the urn and poems . I can not express how much it meant in this difficult time .

I'm not sure that I can even say enough about Mr. Adam's and Setting Sun Pet Crematory!!! One of our saddest days for sure! "Our Best" friend , Bullet passed suddenly, He was a German Shepherd.Bullet through his struggles as a senior, never stopped doing his job! As a loyal Shepherd❤ I can go on and on of how special he was to our family, which brings me to my review of Setting Sun. We have never cremated any of our animals but knowing Mr. Adams for many years, It was a obvious choice of who we would choose to give "Our" Bullet the most respect! We were so humbled of how he treated Bullet! As we were not prepared how the experience would be.Class and dignity!❤ Thank you, Shelton Family!!

Our dog passed when Setting Suns was close to closing and they were so accomidating in our time of need. Ronnie was amazing, he was very kind and kept our feelings in mind the whole time. They are the cheapest in the Winchester area. I would recommend them to anyone who is going through losing a pet.

I definitely recommend this establishment for anyone who needs this service. They treated my best friend with gentle dignity. The cost was very reasonable and they are very compassionate and understanding, as they are dog people too. They made what is otherwise a pet owner's nightmare a little easier. At time of grief after losing a precious companion, Ronnie and Kathi are the people you want to see and be around. You cannot find more compassionate, and just super nice people, and they treat you and your buddy like family. They treated our Dewey like someone special, and wouldn't even leave his ashes in the crematory - they took them inside the house to keep warm.When this happens to your beloved, go to Ronnie and Kathi. You will be so glad theirs were the hands that held your precious friend.

Ronnie & Kathi, went above and beyond in my opinion. The time had come to make the toughest decision to put my mothers dog/companion out of pain and misery, not having alot of experience with these things, my mother wanted her Penny, cared for in death as she had been in life. From the 1st initial call, she felt at ease. I can not say enough good things ( in light of the situation) about Setting Sun, right down to the Call, when Ronnie said I would like to bring Penny home.... the compassion, empathy.. I just can't express what this meant to my mother and I.

I've used them 4 times now and they are so kind and careing and respectful. Its a nice drive and the place is always so well kept and landscaped. I like to watch thier jacks and Chihuahua playing on thier lawn. Thier pick up service is good but i prefer to go myself if possible.

He was patient with us as we were choosing the different options for our family member and even was totally available for us to come by at 8:00pm on a Tuesday evening. He assured us that the service would be completed that very evening and that we could pick up our pet the next day.Their facility is incredibly well kept and very inviting, allowing for a peaceful environment to make what can be hard choices when grieving.The customer service is unparrelled and the costs of service's were by far the best in the area.I highly recommend Setting Sun Pet Crematory for anyone who is in need after the loss of a pet.

Tomorrow will be two weeks that my rocky boy died in our arms at almost 6pm . It's taking me this long to find the words to express my experience with sitting sun . I can't thank the owners for the kindness and understanding from letting me bring my boy to them in middle of a late evening to letting stay as long as needed till I was ready to leave my boy and the fast service of get the services done and my rocky back to me the next day . I appreciate the cards and kind words that was included. Mr . Adams and family are great people.

Lost my cat Redneck on Friday Jan 20,2023 . I met Ron at his shop and paid him . I had Ron pick up Redneck remains from my vet's office that evening . On Saturday Jan 21 I got a call at 10:30am asking if it was ok to drop him off to me. Instead went to meet Ron at his home and brought my friend home . I am so grateful for the urn and poems . I can not express how much it meant in this difficult time .

I'm not sure that I can even say enough about Mr. Adam's and Setting Sun Pet Crematory!!! One of our saddest days for sure! "Our Best" friend , Bullet passed suddenly, He was a German Shepherd.Bullet through his struggles as a senior, never stopped doing his job! As a loyal Shepherd❤ I can go on and on of how special he was to our family, which brings me to my review of Setting Sun. We have never cremated any of our animals but knowing Mr. Adams for many years, It was a obvious choice of who we would choose to give "Our" Bullet the most respect! We were so humbled of how he treated Bullet! As we were not prepared how the experience would be.Class and dignity!❤ Thank you, Shelton Family!!

Our dog passed when Setting Suns was close to closing and they were so accomidating in our time of need. Ronnie was amazing, he was very kind and kept our feelings in mind the whole time. They are the cheapest in the Winchester area. I would recommend them to anyone who is going through losing a pet.

I definitely recommend this establishment for anyone who needs this service. They treated my best friend with gentle dignity. The cost was very reasonable and they are very compassionate and understanding, as they are dog people too. They made what is otherwise a pet owner's nightmare a little easier. Thank you for your compassionate kindness in our time of grief and sadness, I was able to bring my boy home the next day.

Ronnie was very nice, and the way he was with everything was excellent. I got a very nice box to have my ginger in and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I would recommend Setting Sun to everyone.

At time of grief after losing a precious companion, Ronnie and Kathi are the people you want to see and be around. You cannot find more compassionate, and just super nice people, and they treat you and your buddy like family. They treated our Dewey like someone special, and wouldn't even leave his ashes in the crematory - they took them inside the house to keep warm.When this happens to your beloved, go to Ronnie and Kathi. You will be so glad theirs were the hands that held your precious friend.
