I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs to say goodbye to their pet. Mary was extremely compassionate and accommodating. I suddenly lost my cat very early in the morning over the weekend. I called in and was able to take him in that same day. Within a week I had my boy home in a beautiful box I picked out. I really appreciate this mom and pop style business, it made me feel at home whole I was going through a very hard time.

Mary and Barry were so kind and thoughtful during one of the hardest times of my life. One of the only pet cramtoriums to actually pick up the phone, and the only one who would agree to cremate my beloved python who we had the opportunity to love for 13 beautiful years. We turned down the urn as we're making something ourselves, but our baby was delivered to us in this pretty little tin that was just right. Hopefully we won't need these services again for a long time, but I've recommended this business to every pet owner I know! Well worth the drive from Cumberland County.

We have used Richmond Pet Cremation services for two of our rabbits we lost. Mary was very sweet and compassionate both times and never made us feel like we weren't welcomed. We were able to choose beautiful boxes both times and an engraved plate for both. We even got to get a paw print of our last bunny that passed. Mary was understanding when we had to reschedule a couple times and Barry went over everything with us. Never once did we feel like they were only out to make money.

I agree with the last review. Mary is extremely rude. I called looking for options for my cat in hospice care, and she was short, cold, and barely spoke. I said I wasn't interested due to lack of compassion and ended the call. She proceeded to call me back to leave a rude voicemail that she "didn't want to work with me either." I understand personal issues and having a bad day, but you're in funerary service. Kindness is paramount there. I'm very glad I decided to look elsewhere for help through this difficult time.

Wonderful people. This is my second time using their services, The first one being early last year. Don’t expect a big fancy place. This is more of a mom and pop business and the owner is sympathetic and empathetic and I can tell she loves animals. They do great work and give you many options including an official certificate of death and cremation. I would recommend them.

I would highly recommend this place. I first used the services in 2000 and have continued to use Mary for the last 21 years and would not go anywhere else. Mary has buried 4 of my 5 dogs at her Cemetery snd done 1 cremation. I have had to call on her evenings and weekends and she has responded immediately. She has always been there when we needed her and frankly, don't know what I would do without her compassion, efficiency and care during these very stressful situations. She has never let us down and has been there for us every single time for over 20 years and I would never use anyone else. In addition, her cemetery is in a beautiful location and is well maintained and a wonderful place to visit.

My pet son Bandit recently transitioned after 14 years with me. It was hard even making the call to Mary, but her concern comforted me. What a wonderful caring person. Barry picked up Bandit 3 hours after he passed, which gave our family time to say goodbye. As sad as I was and am, I was confident that he was taken good care of. Mary was incredibly patient with me and answered all my questions. I am so happy I chose them for Bandit’s final arrangements.

My compliments to Mary and her kind team. This place is the best funeral service provider for your beloved pets in the Richmond area. Excellent care provided by an empathetic and comforting staff. There is also a very fine collection of wooden pet urns that the business has to offer for your pets' cremated ashes.5 STAR REVIEW.

Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. The woman, Mary I believe, lacked compassion and was very pushy and almost demanding. I asked for a moment to process everything as I just lost my dog of 13 years and she nearly refused to allow me time to part with my dog. I ended up going to a much better service with someone else. The “office,” if it can be called that, did not look legitimate at all and looked like a wrecked shack. She would not allow us to tour the facility claiming it was against some law, which is funny since the next place we took my dog to allowed us a full tour of the cremation facility and gave us peace of mind that my dog would in fact be cremated alone. Mary seemed pressed for just the money and did not seem to actually care about the pets. Glad we found someone else more professional and compassionate.

My pet Rufina passed away on a Sunday. Mary was one of the sweetest. She was compassionate and caring. The gentle that works with her was so gentle with Rufina. I felt very comfortable with leaving her with them. This was one of the hardest thing I had to do. I'm glad I went to them.

Do not take your baby here. Mary is extremely rude And unprofessional. She charges extremely expensive rates had to call and text multiple times before hearing back from her about if our baby was ready. We paid for a paw print that we got back still wet in clay not baked in kiln . When arriving you pull behind a worn down house to a green garage building with no signs for the business to have her assistant come out to get our beloved family member by going to drag him out by his legs like a dead deer. This traumatized my family so husband told assistant to not touch our baby we will bring him in. Once inside the cluttered storage room Mary did not show compassion to us and just wanted money to try and save the failing business.

I have them for many years and have always been satisfied with their service. I feel it is important that I received individual remains of my beloved pets, I don't feel that the other companies can provide this service. I will continue to use this service as long as I have pets.David

My beautiful cat siren passed July 15th. I was able to reach them thst morning and was greeted by a understanding lady who was very comforting. Amazing service.

Amazing service I was heartbroken by losing my diamond and the staff made sure to answer any questions I had. I was also provided with many options for my diamond final resting place.
