A few weeks ago one of our oldest ferrets Ghostie crossed the rainbow bridge and we’re just over the moon how compassionate and wonderful the entire Townes Funeral family was for us. Keith Motley went above and beyond to guide us through the process and our experience was above and beyond what we’ve received for our other ferrets in the past. When the day comes we have to say goodbye to any of our other loved ones - furry or human - Townes Funeral Home will always have our business. We’ll be recommending Townes to all the pet parents we know. Thank you again!!

My 12 year old Great Dane, Jax, passed away at my home late Thursday night 11/2/23. Friday morning, I found Townes Funeral Home online while looking for pet cremations. I called and talked to Barrett Wiles, he was extremely kind and told me to bring Jax and they would take care of him. Barrett and the staff at Townes handled Jax as if he were one of their own pets. When I left there Friday, it felt like a huge burden had been lifted off of me knowing I was leaving Jax in their care. I picked up his ashes today including a plaster paw print, a little vial of his hair, and a certificate. I want to thank Barrett and the staff for for their kindness during such a sad time.

There are not enough good words to express how professional. caring, talented, kind, and accommodating the staff at Townes was to me and my family when we lost my mother. They have always had the top reputation in town, but they keep getting better and better. I have attended many funerals at this location, but this is the first time I was the person paying for the pre-arranged funeral, making the not so easy end of life decisions, and working directly with the staff. David Fuquay is a class act; he was available to my family 24/7 as compassionate a person as ever existed in the world; Matthew Pruitt saw that every wish from every family member was granted even if it meant changes and updates; and Keith Motley went above and beyond for us even weeks after the service. The facility was beautiful, and the organ was magnificent at the service. Every communication we had with Barrett Wiles or Rick Adams was positive; there were many other staff members whose names I don't recall. Specifics...my mother looked better than she had in years after Townes prepared her, for which we are eternally grateful. The blanket/throw that was presented to my father has become his prized possession and is displayed in his home predominantly. The video displayed at the service was excellent and a copy was presented to us to memorialize the service. The flowers were handled with love and care as they were transported to our home. Nothing went wrong; everything was beautifully done in a way with which we were pleased, and my mother would have been so happy with as well. Five stars aren't enough...I give them 10!

Keith (and Townes!) went above and beyond with the care of our recently passed dog. They met us quickly, it was extremely professional, and they took great care with me and my sweet dog. We had requested some minor specifics with our memorial objects and they happily obliged. They were easy to get ahold of, no hidden prices for cremation, and the prices for extras (urn, pawprints etc) is more than reasonable. They made the process of grieving my dog very affordable and as easy as it could be. It was worth the drive and would do it again. If you call, ask for Keith!

Thank you all so very much! Penny's death was unexpected and so very tragic for us. She was a rescue and about 3-4 years old. She was so loving, and funny, and the best dog we ever had! She was more than just a dog; she was, and always will be a beloved member of our family. When she passed, the girls and I only thought about burying her in the backyard, so we could be close to her, visit her. My husband said she deserved so much more! I am thankful to Towne for their understanding and support at this time towards us. We couldn't have found a better way to celebrate who Penny was to us without you all! My mother passed a few years ago, and my father has been living alone ever since her passing. A friend put me in contact with Michael Nemec at the Townes Funeral Home in Danville, as they had seen a memorial blanket that Michael and Townes had helped them design and later produce for their family. The likeness on the blanket of my mother was incredibly accurate and life-like, and the design surrounding her portrait was simply beautiful. My father loved this gift from the day we gave it to him, and the blanket is carefully draped on the love seat next to his chair in the living room so he can see her likeness right beside him as they always had been. In addition to the blanket, Michael helped our family locate the grave sites of deceased members of our immediate and extended family, which was an unexpected but wonderful gift for us. We were able to locate and subsequently visit these gravesites of relatives, along with relatives we did not know we had! Our family cannot thank Michael and the Townes Funeral Home enough for their generous efforts in filling in some empty branches of our family tree and for a lovely blanket that will be forever cherished by my father.With sincere thanks,Marlene D

Speaking as a recent customer whose father passed in October of this year, I couldn't have been more impressed with the compassion, as well as professionalism, from Townes. Especially with my father being sent to another state for his final burial, there was so much to deal with, which these gentlemen took off of my hands and arranged, giving me full access to the prices and information found in the process to make educated decisions with. I literally had to just sit back and be with my family and not worry about the business side of anything. The staff here has the full trust of my family and I feel very at ease to know that they will be there for any of my family's future needs. Communication, empathy, and the willingness to help are all this company's strengths, which are extremely necessary for a funeral home.

Everyone at Townes Funeral Home that we interacted with, made the entire visit much easier on our family. There was a couple of phone calls, a couple of emails (we wrote the obituary and provided pertinent information on dates and times), and by the time we were received at the funeral home, and sat down, the entire time required was less than an hour. It was efficient, inclusive and, considering the situation, a pleasant experience. I cannot say how well pleased we are and were with Townes.

The memorial blankets are so beautiful, what a wonderful way to remember and honor my beloved brother, Scott. Michael Nemec made sure that my Mother had one the day of my brother's funeral. It has brought her so much comfort during this deeply sad time of grief. He then ordered two more for our family to have. He and Laten Ford are incredibly sensitive to families in these overwhelming times. I am very thankful for these two very kind and gracious men.

Thank you all so very much! Penny's death was unexpected and so very tragic for us. She was a rescue and about 3-4 years old. She was so loving, and funny, and the best dog we ever had! She was more than just a dog; she was, and always will be a beloved member of our family. When she passed, the girls and I only thought about burying her in the backyard, so we could be close to her, visit her. My husband said she deserved so much more! I am thankful to Towne for their understanding and support at this time towards us. We couldn't have found a better way to celebrate who Penny was to us without you all! We now have her paw print hanging for Christmas and her ashes will be with good company surrounded by my Mother, Gramma and my Son. Again, thank you to Mr. Pruitt and all who helped us during this time.

My mother passed a few years ago, and my father has been living alone ever since her passing. A friend put me in contact with Michael Nemec at the Townes Funeral Home in Danville, as they had seen a memorial blanket that Michael and Townes had helped them design and later produce for their family. The likeness on the blanket of my mother was incredibly accurate and life-like, and the design surrounding her portrait was simply beautiful. My father loved this gift from the day we gave it to him, and the blanket is carefully draped on the love seat next to his chair in the living room so he can see her likeness right beside him as they always had been. In addition to the blanket, Michael helped our family locate the grave sites of deceased members of our immediate and extended family, which was an unexpected but wonderful gift for us. We were able to locate and subsequently visit these gravesites of relatives, along with relatives we did not know we had! Our family cannot thank Michael and the Townes Funeral Home enough for their generous efforts in filling in some empty branches of our family tree and for a lovely blanket that will be forever cherished by my father.With sincere thanks,Marlene D

Mike Nemec gifted me and my family a beautiful blanket with my father’s photo on it who recently passed and he was very professional and kind during this tough time. The blanket was such a likeness of my dad that it really gave us a really warm feeling through the holidays. The detailing and the quality is incredible. Speaking as a recent customer whose father passed in October of this year, I couldn't have been more impressed with the compassion, as well as professionalism, from Townes. Especially with my father being sent to another state for his final burial, there was so much to deal with, which these gentlemen took off of my hands and arranged, giving me full access to the prices and information found in the process to make educated decisions with. I literally had to just sit back and be with my family and not worry about the business side of anything. The staff here has the full trust of my family and I feel very at ease to know that they will be there for any of my family's future needs. Communication, empathy, and the willingness to help are all this company's strengths, which are extremely necessary for a funeral home.

Everyone at Townes Funeral Home that we interacted with, made the entire visit much easier on our family. There was a couple of phone calls, a couple of emails (we wrote the obituary and provided pertinent information on dates and times), and by the time we were received at the funeral home, and sat down, the entire time required was less than an hour. It was efficient, inclusive and, considering the situation, a pleasant experience. I cannot say how well pleased we are and were with Townes.
