Old Town Funeral Choices was definitely the right choice for us. During our preliminary phone conversation with Jim (the manager), he was professional, compassionate, and very helpful in providing clear, concise information. This was much appreciated in the confusion/grief of caring for a terminally ill loved one in his very last stage of cancer, who unexpectedly passed away several hours after the aforementioned phone conversation. The staff members who then arrived to pick up our loved one's body were so kind and respectful upon entering our home and giving us privacy/space to say our last good-byes. Jim later assisted us in planning for a small and simple memorial service to occur several days later. During the service, he was present, and unobtrusively provided help, as needed. Our loved one's spouse later remarked that his presence was very calming. The venue was also clean and appropriately decorated, with the basic necessities (drinking water, tissues, nearby restrooms, etc.). If you are looking for cremation services or a small viewing/service venue, we definitely recommend checking out Old Town Funeral Choices!

Three years ago, when my dad passed away, we turned to Jim for support, and we were truly grateful for his help during such a difficult time. So, when my mom passed, we immediately knew we wanted Old Town Funeral Choices to assist us once again. I have never had to make arrangements for anyone before. Not knowing what to do I contacted Old Town Funeral Choices. Jim was extremely helpful in giving me choices without trying to upsell anything. Once I made the choices for cremation there were no hidden fees , which I was warned about by a friend. The overall cost was much lower than my friend had told me to expect. Jim was very professional and comforting during the whole process. He explained everything in great detail. The fact that it is a family owned business is always a big plus for me.I would highly recommend Old Town Funeral Choices.

It is a quiet and respectful operation that allows you to begin to understand what needs to happen when you don't have the first idea. With quiet determination, Jim will sort out options and present them to you in a way that allows you to find a path most suited to your requirements and ideas. It is a small place with an unlimited resource of dignity for your loved one and aid for you to navigate seamlessly through each step. I was able to bring a small group together in the facility to conduct a circle of remembrance for my beloved, and it was a memory I will cherish always. I worked with Jim in the Alexandria office to prepare for a family member who was diagnosed with an imminently terminal illness.During a very stressful time in our family, Jim was a truly supportive professional who responded quickly and explained the process clearly. Old Town Funeral Choices was the best choice for our family. From my initial interaction with Benjamin in preparing for my mothers death, to the days following her death with Robert, and finally preparing and conducting services with Ryan, Funeral Choices was instrumental in making a difficult situation comforting for my family. The crew at Chantilly did a great job preparing my mother and she looked beautiful, just as the family wanted to remember her. Although Ryan stepped in towards the end, he should be commended for his compassion, professionalism, and demeanor. Funeral Choices truly is the Best Choice!

I cannot say enough good things about Ryan A. My uncle died very suddenly and unexpectedly just over 2 weeks ago. He lived alone and my cousin, mother and I traveled from out of state to the DC area to handle his affairs. We were all devastated, unprepared, and pretty out of our element. My cousin was hit especially hard, but was in charge of her dad’s arrangements. Ryan was absolutely wonderful. He showed tremendous compassion and patience while guiding us through what we needed to do. He helped make a horrific time much less terrible for my family. I consider myself fortunate that he was there to help us through this traumatic event. I would recommend this place to anyone because of him.
