Losing Dream was the most unexpected thing I ever experienced in my life. I rescued her from a shelter in 2022 when my life was upside down. She brought light, love, support, and gave me a new view of life. We were together for two and a half years when she suddenly started avoiding being near me. I noticed she was having a hard time breathing and took her to the vet. She had a terminal disease which she never showed any signs until it was too late. Took only three days from when she started showing difficulty breathing to the day she passed away. She was only 3 1/2 and I was extremely devastated. I spent all night looking for a place to cremate her, I was afraid of being treated as “just another client” and feel worse about the entire situation. When I texted Paws in Heaven they were very friendly and empathetic. Hailey gave me a lot of privacy to say a last goodbye, she didn’t pressure me to leave or made me feel uncomfortable. She even let me go back to get my own paw impressions and waited for the material to arrive so I could do it before cremating her. I felt extremely respected and I didn’t feel they were trying to sell more things to me because I was vulnerable. They did an amazing job. I am very grateful for all they did for me and her.

Hailey was great. There’s nothing harder than losing your best friend the thought of what to do next after your whole world ended was incredible tough but Hailey was amazing. I lost my sweet girl on Christmas night. Hailey responded immediately on the holiday, was incredibly patient, nice, considerate, and even extended her hours to give me time to morn and arrive at Paws in Heaven on a Holiday night. She communicated about the entire process which made the entire process feel special and easier to accept.Thank you Hailey with Paws in heaven for helping our sweet pup cross the bridge into heaven.

Losing my puppy (great dane) has been incredibly difficult she was with us for almost 10 years, she was well cared for by Paws In Heaven. When we dropped her off we were told what the time frame would be, and they did a wonderful job at keeping us enformed. The Urn is beautiful and the care that was given was fantastic. Not that I want to lose another fur child but when we do I know where I will be going to have them cared for.

What a difficult time when you loose a fur baby. So heartbreaking. Paws 🐾 in Heaven made me feel at peace knowing they were taking good care of my Lilly girl. Matthew the owner of the company came out himself to get her. He was amazing. He brought a peace to my heart and home knowing that my fur baby would well handled. I felt he was very honest not wanting to overcharge at all. I loved that about him. Then lastly, I saw first hand how he cared for my fur baby, and he was so kind and gentle with her.Before he came I was just such a mess, trying to work… and after he left. I was at peace with my Lilly’s passing.I would wholeheartedly use paw 🐾 in heaven again, and again. I would highly recommend them to friends, family and anyone. The team at Paws In Heaven were amazing. Our beloved 9 year old bunny, Bangerang, had passed away and Matt met me at 8:45, on a Sunday night, at their facility to take him. He was treated respectfully, as was I and they understood that he wasn’t just a pet, he was part of our family. They took very good care of him and did more than I could have hoped for. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.

Losing your pet is something you never want to go through. Paws in Heaven has made the loss of my childhood cat Steve a lot easier. Both Ranza and Hailey were very kind, supportive, and helpful through the whole process and I know Steve was in good hands. I much prefer to support a smaller business who doesn’t seem intent on using your sadness to upsell you. I chose some extras and did not feel ripped off. Everything was packaged in a sweet careful manner. They included a baggie of his fur, which was overwhelming at the time, but something I am very grateful to have. His ceramic paw print turned out perfectly and was well worth the wait, the glaze matches the color of his eyes. I used to do ceramics and I know that it can be a very delicate process with lots of room for error. That was not the case here. I hope I never have to endure the loss of a sweet friend again, but when that time inevitably comes again, I’d come back in a heartbeat.

I recently lost my husky of 11 years. It was a pretty horrible death, and I was reaching out to anyone and everyone to help me. When my husky finally passed away I was blindly looking for someone to help with her remains. A veterinarian recommended Paws in Heaven. My experience with them was smooth from start to finish. Every interaction I had with staff was gentle and kind. I knew my husky was in good hands. The professionalism, kindness and compassion these folks give eased my grief, if only for a few minutes. I texted the next morning around 10 am on a Sunday and got an immediate response. Paws in Heaven told me I was welcome to come as soon as I was ready and they would meet me there to intake my pet. This made my loss so much less painful knowing he would be taken care of so soon and our family would not have to experience the difficulties of holding onto him for too long before nature took its course.Within a week his ashes were ready for pick up and we were allowed to bring him home at our convenience. What a wonderful service they provide that makes loosing something special a comfortable process.

We had a Shih Tzu for almost 14 years and he was the light of our life. We shared so many incredible memories with him, so saying goodbye was very difficult as it is for anyone who has lost their beloved fur baby but Parker with Paws of Heaven was so patient and incredible during our grieving process. We were able to come back for a private viewing, and during that time get paw prints, nose print along with fur which we didn’t think to do while we were devastated after he had passed away in our arms at home. Paws in heaven was amazing we called on a Saturday evening and they not only offered to meet us at the business they also offered to pick him up from our home. We chose to take him in. Our beloved furbaby Miles passed away on 4/18/22 at night and trying to find a place to take him for cremation was overwhelming. We came across Paws in Heaven and sent a text that night, without hesitation we received a response with the nexts steps. We dropped Miles off the next morning for his cremation service and although it was a very emotional and heartbreaking situation, we are very pleased with the overall experience! Matt and his team do a great job and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Although it was an extremely hard decision to let my boy go I at least didn’t have the anxiety of not knowing what to do with him afterwards since they are able to come pick your pet up from your house. When I got his urn and paw print back everything was perfect, thank you guys for making this hard time at least a little bit easier!

His team were efficient, professional and considerate. They accommodated our situation. Our fur baby passed on a Saturday evening. We found Paws in Heaven while urgently looking for somewhere that could take care of my friend's pet pig who passed unexpectedly. We were having a hard time finding a service that could handle a 200 lb pig, but Paws in Heaven welcomed us and were SO helpful throughout the whole process. If I could give Matt and his team 10 stars I would. I am a single lady, and my 13 year old golden retriever was my whole family when I had to say goodbye to him at the tender age of 13. I had the grace of knowing in advance that I would be saying goodbye to Sammy at home, with the help of home euthanasia. As the day came closer to say goodbye, Matt worked with me answering questions about his products, my order and even managed to "read my mind" when I THOUGHT I had sent him my order, but hadn't yet. He was patient as I navigated my grief, and was helpful despite my scattered brain. The day of, Matt came with his wife, and so gently took my Samson for his final car ride, wrapped in a soft blanket. He was considerate and gentle on a day when I couldn't have needed it more.Fast forward to picking up my paw print, lock of hair and cremains. The office staff was so friendly and the beautiful package of items was put together with love, and a lot of personalization. I consider what Matt gave to me to be some of my most prized possessions, and they couldn't have been handled better or with more kindness.Paws in Heaven offered kindness, professionalism, patience and a beautiful service. I recommend them highly, and know that if you are considering their service, your journey down a hard path with be a little bit easier with their help along the way. My mom's dog passed away and Paws in Heaven was a nearby cremation services company. I should have been immediately red-flagged when I showed up and the building appeared to be an old auto garage converted for this company's purpose.A small sign on the door is the only indication that this is a company at all. I'm not usually one to judge based on outward appearances, but my God, take some pride in your business. There was even a burn barrel in the parking lot, which is incredibly poor taste for a company that does pet cremation services.The company did not color the paw print according to the request, and they took over 4 weeks to get the cremains returned which was quite a long time (they did apologize and said they were behind schedule). There seem to be better facilities around which offer similar services at cheaper prices.They did provide a nice bag, and the paw print and stand is nice. The owner's wife apparently does these herself, and I admire that small-business approach. I don't want to besmirch an entrepreneur for using their skills. However, when dealing with grieving pet owners, it's often fairly important to provide them a caring environment and I don't think this location's current state provided that.

Our little scooby passed on a Saturday night so we called on Sunday and they were available to help, being open on weekends was awesome to be able to take care of him soon and not have to wait till they opened. Made arrangements last Saturday night to have my beautiful pick up. Guy seems really nice on phone but over contact to on pick up time. I went in a different direction and happy I do. Only reason I moved it to 2 stars is he did give me on pointer how to keep her from decaying.Hey Robb, this is Matt Hansen, the owner of Paws In Heaven. I just left you a message. I wanted to apologize and try and make things right with you. Sorry we dropped the ball on not answering our phone after we initially talked to you. I want to make it right by giving you a free product, or future credit, or even reimbursement for part of what you had to pay another company to handle your situation. Let me know and once I again I’m sorry!I contact him and after I week he said I'd change my mind. Skip them and find a better service.

I could not be more grateful for Paws in Heaven for taking care of my sweet Marley. We were devastated by her sudden loss and we weren't sure what to do. We found Paws in Heaven and they have been nothing but attentive since that first phone call. They were kind and compassionate. They gave us time, in a room alone, to say our goodbyes. They sent out a personalized text message when it was time to pick her up, letting us know that "Sweet Marley was ready to come home." I’d give 6 stars if I could. This is a very difficult time, as many can appreciate, and the staff at Paws in Heaven were heaven sent. They treated us and our dearly departed kitty with the upmost respect and care. They went above and beyond patiently helping us with our questions and the picture frame urn is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. I would recommend their services and help to anyone in need. The lady that I had dealt with was amazing. She was so kind and compassionate and she just understood how hard it was. She really cared. I feel like tigger my cat will be well taken care of. I texted the next morning around 10 am on a Sunday and got an immediate response. Paws in Heaven told me I was welcome to come as soon as I was ready and they would meet me there to intake my pet. This made my loss so much less painful knowing he would be taken care of so soon and our family would not have to experience the difficulties of holding onto him for too long before nature took its course.Within a week his ashes were ready for pick up and we were allowed to bring him home at our convenience. What a wonderful service they provide that makes loosing something special a comfortable process.

Our beloved furbaby Miles passed away on 4/18/22 at night and trying to find a place to take him for cremation was overwhelming. We came across Paws in Heaven and sent a text that night, without hesitation we received a response with the nexts steps. If I could give Matt and his team 10 stars I would. I am a single lady, and my 13 year old golden retriever was my whole family when I had to say goodbye to him at the tender age of 13. I had the grace of knowing in advance that I would be saying goodbye to Sammy at home, with the help of home euthanasia. As the day came closer to say goodbye, Matt worked with me answering questions about his products, my order and even managed to "read my mind" when I THOUGHT I had sent him my order, but hadn't yet. He was patient as I navigated my grief, and was helpful despite my scattered brain. The day of, Matt came with his wife, and so gently took my Samson for his final car ride, wrapped in a soft blanket. He was considerate and gentle on a day when I couldn't have needed it more.Fast forward to picking up my paw print, lock of hair and cremains. The office staff was so friendly and the beautiful package of items was put together with love, and a lot of personalization. I consider what Matt gave to me to be some of my most prized possessions, and they couldn't have been handled better or with more kindness.Paws in Heaven offered kindness, professionalism, patience and a beautiful service. I recommend them highly, and know that if you are considering their service, your journey down a hard path with be a little bit easier with their help along the way. My mom's dog passed away and Paws in Heaven was a nearby cremation services company. I should have been immediately red-flagged when I showed up and the building appeared to be an old auto garage converted for this company's purpose.A small sign on the door is the only indication that this is a company at all. I'm not usually one to judge based on outward appearances, but my God, take some pride in your business. There was even a burn barrel in the parking lot, which is incredibly poor taste for a company that does pet cremation services.The company did not color the paw print according to the request, and they took over 4 weeks to get the cremains returned which was quite a long time (they did apologize and said they were behind schedule). There seem to be better facilities around which offer similar services at cheaper prices.They did provide a nice bag, and the paw print and stand is nice. The owner's wife apparently does these herself, and I admire that small-business approach. I don't want to besmirch an entrepreneur for using their skills. However, when dealing with grieving pet owners, it's often fairly important to provide them a caring environment and I don't think this location's current state provided that.

Matt was incredible taking care of our pup who passed while we were out of town (5 hours away). Our almost 12 year old American Staffordshire hadn't been doing too well, but seemed okay for us to leave for the weekend, with him in the care of our friend/neighbor. The day before we were due home they let us know that our Talon walked into his dog house and never came out. When they checked on him, they were sure he was gone. I called Matt on a Saturday, and he was at our home within a few hours, this was so important to me since I didn't want our pup laying outside, alone all weekend. With great care, he and our neighbor loaded Talon into his vehicle and transported him to Matt's crematorium for a minimal fee. We received his ashes back, in a beautiful velvet bag inside a wooden box, along with a terracotta Paw Print we opted for. The packaging was done beautifully and with great care. Our veterinary clinic recently switched over to Paws In Heaven to provide all our bereavement services. I was worried to switch because so much of their service is directly reflected on us as a veterinary clinic. I have been more than happy with my decision to switch. The products and services they provide are high quality and our clients have been happy with all the options they have. Their billing is simple and clear and the process for the clients to decide how they want to memorialize their pet is easy. I’d recommend any vet clinic to re-evaluate want they are doing for bereavement services. The process needs to be affordable and easy for the vet clinic. The tracking system needs to be fool proof, and you need to provide a variety of quality products. Paws in Heaven has done that for us. In the past, I’ve gone to another facility in SLC and enjoyed working with them, but unfortunately, they’re not doing witness cremations right now due to COVID and I had to find somewhere else. It was very important to me that I witness the cremation of my cat, for complete peace of mind and closure. I called around, and Paws in Heaven was the only place offering witness cremations. I set up a time for 11/25. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Matt, the owner. He was nice and expressed he was sorry for our loss. When we went into the crematory, the incinerator was not turned on/preheated. I was told by his wife, Rebecca (when I made the appointment), that there would be multiple cremations that day and that they’d work around the time we were going to be there. She said the entire process would take an hour and to let them know what time I was planning to arrive so that they could plan the others accordingly. I told them I would come at the end of the day for their last appointment, around 3:30-4:00PM. We arrived at 3:45PM. Before the cremation started, we said our goodbyes to our cat, wrapped her in her blanket, and placed her in the oven with cards my kids made. Matt closed the door and said it would take 45mins. Upon checking on her multiple times, she seemed to be burning very slowly. At around 5:30PM (almost 2hrs after arriving), he checked again and she still looked to be burning slowly. He said we were the first cremation of the day and that the oven took a while to heat up (I was confused as I was told they had multiple scheduled that day). He felt bad and offered to go get us drinks and give my kids a treat, we declined but thanked him for the nice gesture. His staff was very nice to my kids and even set up an area for them to play with clay. Around 6:15PM, he checked again and said it was done. He pulled the remains out and scooped them into a metal bin. I noticed the white bones in the bin had a lot of big, black chunks all over them. I asked Matt what that was (as I didn’t recall seeing that with a previous cat cremation), and he said it’s pieces of bone, coal, and bits that didn’t burn down all the way. He said when the remains are done processing, the powder should be close to “pure white” in colour (because that’s what bone is), but mine ended up being a darker grey colour because he didn't let her process long enough to get to that point. I was charged the full $300 private cremation price. We were surprised we weren’t offered a discount for it taking 3x longer than quoted (plus we had to cancel our plans of going holiday shopping at City Creek after since the mall closed at 7PM and we didn’t leave until 6:30PM). On the drive home, I did research and found that if ashes are black or dark grey, then they’re “not adequately processed” and were taken out too soon. Matt even admitted that he took her out sooner "to speed up the process". I was there for almost 3hrs, what would another 30mins have been to properly finish? I wouldn’t have minded waiting a little longer to ensure she was completely done. I feel sick to my stomach. I’m grateful that I was able to witness it, however, I am disappointed in the quality of ashes I received back. It should have just been her white bone fragments, not bones with burnt chunks mixed in. While I was there, they were packaging up other pet remains for other clients, and their cremains were closer to white. Matt was so gentle and meticulous with handling everyone’s cremains and seems to take a lot of pride in his work, but it was disappointing to see that other people’s cremains were white and ours weren’t because they were rushed towards the end. The staff at Paws in Heaven are nice, but I don’t believe it was worth the $300 price. When I called around to other crematories, they were the most expensive - but I wanted to witness it, so I was willing to pay extra. When I went to the previous pet crematory, it only cost $150 for the private witness cremation and I had a good experience. I paid double at Paws in Heaven and, unfortunately, did not have a pleasant experience.

Our veterinary clinic recently switched over to Paws In Heaven to provide all our bereavement services. I was worried to switch because so much of their service is directly reflected on us as a veterinary clinic. I have been more than happy with my decision to switch. The products and services they provide are high quality and our clients have been happy with all the options they have. Their billing is simple and clear and the process for the clients to decide how they want to memorialize their pet is easy. I’d recommend any vet clinic to re-evaluate want they are doing for bereavement services. The process needs to be affordable and easy for the vet clinic. The tracking system needs to be fool proof, and you need to provide a variety of quality products. Paws in Heaven has done that for us. Our sweet lab died unexpectedly during his sleep on Memorial Day and we were struggling to find a place that could deal with his remains on a holiday. When I connected with Matt, he was reassuring and we were able to drop our boy off by early afternoon. I had the misfortune of my family cat dying recently while I was away. I was heartbroken, thinking that I had missed my chance to say goodbye to her. Thankfully, Paws in Heaven allowed me to do so once I got back into town, providing me with a refreshing level of empathy and space to mourn my loss. They were also very courteous in answering my (admittedly repetitive) questions about where she (my cat) was at in the process of preparing her and her urn. It also helps that the engraving turned out lovely.

In the past, I’ve gone to another facility in SLC and enjoyed working with them, but unfortunately, they’re not doing witness cremations right now due to COVID and I had to find somewhere else. It was very important to me that I witness the cremation of my cat, for complete peace of mind and closure. I called around, and Paws in Heaven was the only place offering witness cremations. I set up a time for 11/25. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Matt, the owner. He was nice and expressed he was sorry for our loss. When we went into the crematory, the incinerator was not turned on/preheated. I was told by his wife, Rebecca (when I made the appointment), that there would be multiple cremations that day and that they’d work around the time we were going to be there. She said the entire process would take an hour and to let them know what time I was planning to arrive so that they could plan the others accordingly. I told them I would come at the end of the day for their last appointment, around 3:30-4:00PM. We arrived at 3:45PM. Before the cremation started, we said our goodbyes to our cat, wrapped her in her blanket, and placed her in the oven with cards my kids made. Matt closed the door and said it would take 45mins. Upon checking on her multiple times, she seemed to be burning very slowly. At around 5:30PM (almost 2hrs after arriving), he checked again and she still looked to be burning slowly. He said we were the first cremation of the day and that the oven took a while to heat up (I was confused as I was told they had multiple scheduled that day). He felt bad and offered to go get us drinks and give my kids a treat, we declined but thanked him for the nice gesture. His staff was very nice to my kids and even set up an area for them to play with clay. Around 6:15PM, he checked again and said it was done. He pulled the remains out and scooped them into a metal bin. I noticed the white bones in the bin had a lot of big, black chunks all over them. I asked Matt what that was (as I didn’t recall seeing that with a previous cat cremation), and he said it’s pieces of bone, coal, and bits that didn’t burn down all the way. He said when the remains are done processing, the powder should be close to “pure white” in colour (because that’s what bone is), but mine ended up being a darker grey colour because he didn't let her process long enough to get to that point. I was charged the full $300 private cremation price. We were surprised we weren’t offered a discount for it taking 3x longer than quoted (plus we had to cancel our plans of going holiday shopping at City Creek after since the mall closed at 7PM and we didn’t leave until 6:30PM). On the drive home, I did research and found that if ashes are black or dark grey, then they’re “not adequately processed” and were taken out too soon. Matt even admitted that he took her out sooner "to speed up the process". I was there for almost 3hrs, what would another 30mins have been to properly finish? I wouldn’t have minded waiting a little longer to ensure she was completely done. I feel sick to my stomach. I’m grateful that I was able to witness it, however, I am disappointed in the quality of ashes I received back. It should have just been her white bone fragments, not bones with burnt chunks mixed in. While I was there, they were packaging up other pet remains for other clients, and their cremains were closer to white. Matt was so gentle and meticulous with handling everyone’s cremains and seems to take a lot of pride in his work, but it was disappointing to see that other people’s cremains were white and ours weren’t because they were rushed towards the end. The staff at Paws in Heaven are nice, but I don’t believe it was worth the $300 price. When I called around to other crematories, they were the most expensive - but I wanted to witness it, so I was willing to pay extra. When I went to the previous pet crematory, it only cost $150 for the private witness cremation and I had a good experience. I paid double at Paws in Heaven and, unfortunately, did not have a pleasant experience.

I just had to have my dog picked up after hours and the gentleman that showed up was extremely friendly and helpful. Haven’t seen the end product but for them coming on the day it happened I couldn’t be more grateful.
