Megg was fantastic and friendly! Explained everything along the way and throughly since it was our first visit! Went above and beyond to ease our pet's situation and all the paperwork afterwards. Vet was very detailed and very attentive to our cat's need.We are new to the area and we'll be making this our pets' primary location. No wait time, easy and fast scheduling. Flexible payments and within our budget.Pet's follow-up visit still pending, but I strongly recommend this location for your pets!

Everyone besides the front desk person was amazing! Technician and the doctor deserve endless stars! I felt that my dog was super comfortable with them. The front desk person had a problem finding my insurance account and proceeded to make it seem like it was my issue or problem when the whole time SHE wasn’t entering the correct policy number and continued to be snarky about it, but besides that the doctor showed compassion and i can tell she loves her job and is REALLY good with dogs. Even though my Woodrow is a bit much at some times they really showed patience.

I was panicking looking for a clinic that would see my pet as a Walk in.. thanks to God I found THRIVE PET HEALTHCARE, ALAMO RANCH. I was immediately greeted by MEG! What a delightful and welcoming experience. She was extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable. She took care of my Rolo so gently and made us feel right at home. We also met Dr. Smith, who herself was extremely kind and comforting. She answered all of my questions with ease and went above and beyond for us! We have found a new home for our 3 pets! Thank you both so much for your care!! I highly recommend this clinic, no matter how far the drive may be!

I absolutely love this vet clinic! Michael is amazing! He is always in great spirits and he’s so sweet, gentle, and loving with my pups 🥰 You can tell he really cares and loves them, and wants to make them as comfortable as he can. Our pups can be a little shy, and nervous but Michael always knows how to calm their nerves.He’s very informative and answers any questions we have as well. Dr. Smith always takes the best care of our pups also.We wouldn’t want to take our pups anywhere else! 🩷

10/10 experience. I felt so comfortable knowing that they actually cared for the health of my dog. They didn’t have to make the accommodations that they did and for that I am forever grateful. Came here with my pet cat to get a 2nd opinion. Kayla and Dr. Smith took great care of my poor lil guy. They reassured me that his main veterinarian have given him the proper treatment. The only thing missing was treatment for his asthma. So Dr. Smith wrote a couple of prescriptions highlighting the pros and cons to both. He's got a better quality of life now that he's not wheezing and hacking uncontrollably everyday. Thanks so much!

Dr Smith, Dr K, Stacey and the rest of the staff are wonderful and well educated. They treat my babies like they are their own. Not entirely thrilled with the occasional substitute doc. Experience with management has been really nice. The only thing I could wish for is a higher success rate with someone answering/responding to the phone/voicemail.

My Pet had the greatest care and attention at Thrive. We were able to make an appointment quick, online that fit with my schedule. While she was getting a check up and vaccines they noticed some other health issues with our pet and had a plan to treat her as soon as possible. They were prompt during appointments, explained everything throughly, and were transparent about pricing. My daughter went to Thrive with her puppy yesterday while I was at work. It was the first time she had been to the vet by herself;so she was very nervous. The Vet and technicians provided information to my daughter but also called provided me with information over the phone. They also made it easy for me to make the payment by providing a link to my phone. Lastly, I was sent 3 text asking how our pup was doing. Best service I have ever received for my pets! Thank you!!

Took my new puppy here for the first time. They send reminder texts, but don’t blow up your phone. They let you in while your pet is getting examined. They were very thorough and nice. The technicians were amazing. I spoke with Dr. K and she answered my millions of questions and gave me great recommendations towards food. Prices were reasonable and inexpensive. I was in and out quickly, no long wait time. Highly recommend this vet practice!

My Chihuahua (Peanut) was critically ill and was treated at the Alamo Ranch location. Dr Smith and her staff were awesome. They took care of my Peanut and showed him so much Love 💕. Had to take my dog in for a sick visit and wanted to get her established elsewhere so I decided to take her here. Thrive clinics have good reviews at other locations and this new one is super close to me. Really enjoyed my experience and how thorough they were to make sure my baby was ok. Everyone was very nice and answered any and all questions. (I’m terrible with names, wish I would have written them down to mention them). I greatly appreciate how upfront they are with price and giving you quotes for future visits. Scheduling and check in is all very convenient as well are reminder texts. Great experience and recommend to those in the area!

I'm pretty happy with my experience here. They are upfront about their pricing, cost seems fair, and they seem to care about my pets. I like that you can be with your pet while they do exams. My previous vet always required us to drop off pets and leave them with them for several hours and I never had any interaction with the doctor, only staff. At Thrive, I've spoken directly with the doctor on every visit. I also appreciate that they don't try to push unneeded treatments and/or products like some other vets do. Would definitely recommend them. 👌

I had a very pleasant and smooth first visit for my new puppy. What was suppose to be his first wellness exam turned out to be a sick visit due to kennel cough. The staff was super friendly and thorough not to mention this location was super clean and my bill was affordable thanks to becoming a member. I would highly recommend this clinic and if you do go the extra mile and become a member. I’m looking forward to his next visit

I can not say enough good things about this office. They handled our emergency with our dog in such an efficient, and compassionate manner. When they realized the extent of the issue, they basically closed their office so it would be all hands on deck for our Charlotte. At the time, we weren't even an established customer! My dog and an allergic reaction to something. I called numerous places before I called here and they immediately got me in even though they were booked. The injections they gave my pet worked immediately and her swelling went down.Very reasonable and friendly! Thanks!

My mother was kind enough to take my dog to the appointment as I am a teacher and it was our first day back and we will be out next week for our young son’s tumor removal. I even typed up concerns about what was going on, previous ineffective treatments, and the concern for a tumor. I talked toDr.Mangala Krishnappa on the phone and it just seemed like there was nothing additional she was willing to do. The only solution was a dermatologist in Austin which I will take him to, but their wait time is months to get in. Until then the solution was pretty much the exact same treatments that have failed my dog. The appointment took 2 hours and there were other upset customers due to the wait time. More than that, my mom explained the Doctor’s attitude was very dismissive and that she was made to feel like a burden more than anything. This is so disappointing as this was our first time at this clinic and I was hoping to switch to this office but after the experience today that is not happening. My mom’s time felt wasted today and my dog is left to be on the same treatment that has cause these problems. There was not even an explanation if his bump is a possible tumor or not. The whole visit was incredibly disappointing and a horrible experience. I would do anything for my dog but for us to do these tests and interventions and he’s left with the same exact treatment after 500 dollars out of pocket for a family with 2 members already fighting tumors and medical issues has impacted our family, especially with the negative experience. Even when talking on the phone it was abrasive and very dry. I don’t know the reasoning for this behavior but it was not at all appreciated and now I am left feeling like I can’t trust what this vet has prescribed because we felt written off. The shining light in all of this was the tech who explained as much as possible to my mother and even filled her in on things that should have been covered but the vet failed to even address.Edit: dr smith called today and was absolutely incredible. She addressed more in the 4 minutes on the phone than the whole visit with the other vet. She was caring, compassionate, and really listened to my concerns. I’d be willing to go back only to see Dr. Smith.

I am so glad I found this clinic. I have switched over from Culebra Creek vet due to issues I had during multiple visits- poor communication, having to wait a over a half an hour to be seen, people who came in after me being green first, not caring for my pet in the room WITH me.All these were (still only part) of the reason I left CCV. I didn’t experience any of that during my first (and so far only) visit with Thrive. They did take my dog in back for the vet to examine and give the a vaccine, but I was told that the Dr. has severe allergies to chemicals, and there were men remodeling and painting rooms there that day. She did come up to talk to me and explain her exam, which I appreciated. I assume the next visit will be done in room, otherwise I’ll request it.Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful answering all questions I had. I will be returning for sure!

This was Ginger’s first visit since we moved here from Las Vegas. She was frightened (as usual) but at 120 pounds she can be a handful. The technician was very loving toward her and calmed her down. He was gentle and talked to her. She did better than she ever had for nail clipping and exam. Highly recommend!!

I had a vet appointment scheduled for 8/7/23 at the Alamo ranch location. I made the appointment the same morning with Rebecca over the phone and took off work for an urgent case with my dog. To save time I signed up for the thrive plan before going in. When I went into the office Rebecca notified me that she made an error and scheduled my dog on the wrong day and they could not see me. My dog had to be seen that day since I took off work so I took him to another vet which he will be staying a patient at. I told Rebecca I needed to not have the wellness plan and if we could cancel it since it was never used and since they made a booking error that caused me to go to another vet. She told me to email. I emailed thrive (which is is the only contact method) on 8/7/23 the same day the membership ‘started’ and was told I would have an answer within 24-48 hours which it has been well past. There is no other way to contact. The other issue I have faced is that the membership was charged twice on my card on error and again there is no one to call to speak about. I am extremely frustrated and recommend anyone to stay away and go to a local vet office that has a true customer service department.

Terrible experience. Was recommended to this location to obtain an international health certificate. The vet knew nothing and was rude. Argued a vaccine that was not necessary and after she insisted to proceed I found the information and the USDA even noted on certificate it was not needed for even a cat which is what I brought in! Only a dog to a completely different country! I had to argue to get that charge removed. She had to redo the forms 3 times! And I was there for 3.5 hours! A ridiculous and pathetic mess. This location should NOT be recommended for international health certificates!

This location was a ripoff!! I took my puppy in for a follow-up appointment. While I was there, I asked if they could trim his nails. When I got home, I noticed a charge for 45.00 for a nail trim, no buffing just a trim. I thought someone made a mistake in the charge so I called the office. They verified that was the correct charge for a nail trim. AND...I heard him scream twice from the room I was in. They took him to the back and did it. I've always taken him to Petco for 20.00 which included buffing too. I'll NEVER take him back to that THRIVE Office. The Dr. (Vet)had a horrible bedside manner. Long story. That location shouldn't have even gotten one star.

My Chihuahua (Peanut) was critically ill and was treated at the Alamo Ranch location. Dr Smith and her staff were awesome. They took care of my Peanut and showed him so much Love 💕. Dr Smith and her staff called afterwards to check on Peanut.. They were able to see my Baby right away when other clinics turned me away including the hospital on Broadway... Had to take my dog in for a sick visit and wanted to get her established elsewhere so I decided to take her here. Thrive clinics have good reviews at other locations and this new one is super close to me. Really enjoyed my experience and how thorough they were to make sure my baby was ok. Everyone was very nice and answered any and all questions. (I’m terrible with names, wish I would have written them down to mention them). I greatly appreciate how upfront they are with price and giving you quotes for future visits. Scheduling and check in is all very convenient as well are reminder texts. Great experience and recommend to those in the area!

I'm pretty happy with my experience here. They are upfront about their pricing, cost seems fair, and they seem to care about my pets. I like that you can be with your pet while they do exams. My previous vet always required us to drop off pets and leave them with them for several hours and I never had any interaction with the doctor, only staff. At Thrive, I've spoken directly with the doctor on every visit. I also appreciate that they don't try to push unneeded treatments and/or products like some other vets do. Would definitely recommend them. 👌

I had a very pleasant and smooth first visit for my new puppy. What was suppose to be his first wellness exam turned out to be a sick visit due to kennel cough. The staff was super friendly and thorough not to mention this location was super clean and my bill was affordable thanks to becoming a member. I would highly recommend this clinic and if you do go the extra mile and become a member. I’m looking forward to his next visit

Wasn’t thrilled with my first visit with them the other day. Then today I showed up at 5pm to pick up something. Their hours posted on the door and online say they are open until 6pm. I pulled up and there is a note on the door saying “We closed at 4. Sorry for the inconvenience”.

I can not say enough good things about this office. They handled our emergency with our dog in such an efficient, and compassionate manner. When they realized the extent of the issue, they basically closed their office so it would be all hands on deck for our Charlotte. At the time, we weren't even an established customer! You can bet they are our new vet now for all of our animals.

My dog and an allergic reaction to something. I called numerous places before I called here and they immediately got me in even though they were booked. The injections they gave my pet worked immediately and her swelling went down.Very reasonable and friendly! Thanks!

My mother was kind enough to take my dog to the appointment as I am a teacher and it was our first day back and we will be out next week for our young son’s tumor removal. I even typed up concerns about what was going on, previous ineffective treatments, and the concern for a tumor. I talked toDr.Mangala Krishnappa on the phone and it just seemed like there was nothing additional she was willing to do. The only solution was a dermatologist in Austin which I will take him to, but their wait time is months to get in. Until then the solution was pretty much the exact same treatments that have failed my dog. The appointment took 2 hours and there were other upset customers due to the wait time. More than that, my mom explained the Doctor’s attitude was very dismissive and that she was made to feel like a burden more than anything. This is so disappointing as this was our first time at this clinic and I was hoping to switch to this office but after the experience today that is not happening. My mom’s time felt wasted today and my dog is left to be on the same treatment that has cause these problems. There was not even an explanation if his bump is a possible tumor or not. The whole visit was incredibly disappointing and a horrible experience. I would do anything for my dog but for us to do these tests and interventions and he’s left with the same exact treatment after 500 dollars out of pocket for a family with 2 members already fighting tumors and medical issues has impacted our family, especially with the negative experience. Even when talking on the phone it was abrasive and very dry. I don’t know the reasoning for this behavior but it was not at all appreciated and now I am left feeling like I can’t trust what this vet has prescribed because we felt written off. The shining light in all of this was the tech who explained as much as possible to my mother and even filled her in on things that should have been covered but the vet failed to even address.Edit: dr smith called today and was absolutely incredible. She addressed more in the 4 minutes on the phone than the whole visit with the other vet. She was caring, compassionate, and really listened to my concerns. I’d be willing to go back only to see Dr. Smith.

I am so glad I found this clinic. I have switched over from Culebra Creek vet due to issues I had during multiple visits- poor communication, having to wait a over a half an hour to be seen, people who came in after me being green first, not caring for my pet in the room WITH me.All these were (still only part) of the reason I left CCV. I didn’t experience any of that during my first (and so far only) visit with Thrive. They did take my dog in back for the vet to examine and give the a vaccine, but I was told that the Dr. has severe allergies to chemicals, and there were men remodeling and painting rooms there that day. She did come up to talk to me and explain her exam, which I appreciated. I assume the next visit will be done in room, otherwise I’ll request it.Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful answering all questions I had. I will be returning for sure!

This was Ginger’s first visit since we moved here from Las Vegas. She was frightened (as usual) but at 120 pounds she can be a handful. The technician was very loving toward her and calmed her down. He was gentle and talked to her. She did better than she ever had for nail clipping and exam. Highly recommend!!

I had a vet appointment scheduled for 8/7/23 at the Alamo ranch location. I made the appointment the same morning with Rebecca over the phone and took off work for an urgent case with my dog. To save time I signed up for the thrive plan before going in. When I went into the office Rebecca notified me that she made an error and scheduled my dog on the wrong day and they could not see me. My dog had to be seen that day since I took off work so I took him to another vet which he will be staying a patient at. I told Rebecca I needed to not have the wellness plan and if we could cancel it since it was never used and since they made a booking error that caused me to go to another vet. She told me to email. I emailed thrive (which is is the only contact method) on 8/7/23 the same day the membership ‘started’ and was told I would have an answer within 24-48 hours which it has been well past. There is no other way to contact. The other issue I have faced is that the membership was charged twice on my card on error and again there is no one to call to speak about. I am extremely frustrated and recommend anyone to stay away and go to a local vet office that has a true customer service department.

Terrible experience. Was recommended to this location to obtain an international health certificate. The vet knew nothing and was rude. Argued a vaccine that was not necessary and after she insisted to proceed I found the information and the USDA even noted on certificate it was not needed for even a cat which is what I brought in! Only a dog to a completely different country! I had to argue to get that charge removed. She had to redo the forms 3 times! And I was there for 3.5 hours! A ridiculous and pathetic mess. This location should NOT be recommended for international health certificates!

This location was a ripoff!! I took my puppy in for a follow-up appointment. While I was there, I asked if they could trim his nails. When I got home, I noticed a charge for 45.00 for a nail trim, no buffing just a trim. I thought someone made a mistake in the charge so I called the office. They verified that was the correct charge for a nail trim. AND...I heard him scream twice from the room I was in. They took him to the back and did it. I've always taken him to Petco for 20.00 which included buffing too. I'll NEVER take him back to that THRIVE Office. The Dr. (Vet)had a horrible bedside manner. Long story. That location shouldn't have even gotten one star.
