The love of my life was taken care of here just over four years ago. I honestly had never gone through the paperwork I got back, just kept it in the envelope because it was too much. Of course the beautiful box they gave me has been in the open for years, I just could not go through anything. I did today and am so grateful for the clear kindness and love these people showed my girl and me. The certificate, memorial seeds, grief counseling information… just amazing. Plus they did the best job with her paw print! Thank you all. So much❤️

Ridiculous service nothing speedy about it that’s for sure. My dog passed on a Wednesday and wasn’t even cremated till a Monday 6 days later. Will never recommend this place to my friends or family.

My beloved fur baby Murphy went over the Rainbow while I was away on a trip. My amazing husband took care of the arrangements for me and our Vet uses Fond Memories. They called me to take care of the payment for the services Monday and so I asked if there was any way they could hold off on the Cremation till I got back into town the following day and could I come up and see my dog and say Goodbye. They were so gracious and held on to my Murphy and allowed me to see him one last time. THANK YOU SO MUCH for allowing me to see him. It meant the would to me. THANK YOU!!! I love doing business with people who care! Highly recommend Fond Memories in Sachse!

The presentation was nice. We paid extra to have a casting of our beloved cat’s paw and we ended up with what looks like a dog paw print. Our cat was declawed and this print has claws! Unfortunately, we were leaving her in the hands of this company to get our last keepsake of our girl and now we no longer have that ability. I’m sad to say the least! This was my young daughter’s “baby” and we all recognized right off that there was no way this could be her paw print! Very disappointed in this company! Now I have to wonder if her remains are really her!

We lost our best friend of 11-1/2 years very suddenly due to illness. His remains were sent to Fond Memories and we received them back in a lovely carved wooden box yesterday. It is a comfort to have him home and the box is beautiful, just like he was.I have removed one star, because there is one thing that could have been done so much better which has caused us quite a bit of distress. One of the services we paid for was to have a clipping of his fur. He was a rare breed and only one of about 300 in the US. His coat was a beautiful white with fawn markings. We loved him so much. At first when we saw the little zipped clear plastic bag with fur, we were sure that they mixed up our bag with someone else’s clippings. Our dog did not have short hair other than on his legs. This looked like a shaving the vet would do on the leg to draw blood. Our precious boy had 3-4” long hair on his fluffy Spitz tail and on the ruff. The rest of the fur covering his body was approximately 2” other than on his face which was the length on his legs. The fur clipping returned to us looked to be snips about 1/4” long which was not at all what we expected. There was no fawn colored fur included from his very distinct markings - only white fuzz that looked like something pulled from a brush and snipped into tiny pieces. It was not discernible to have even been from our boy, though I don’t think they would make the mistake of mixing that up. I find myself wandering through his pet beds trying to gather individual strands for safe keeping. I would merely ask Fond Memories to give more consideration to perhaps snipping a longer swatch for grieving pet parents. It is important to parents. If this is a matter of an employee who didn’t know better, please educate them.Thank you for returning our sweet boy to us in the lovely box, but please provide true fur clippings to grieving parents in the future. Perhaps in a small vial so the clippings could not be separated. I do not recognize the fur I received and it makes the grieving much harder to me not to have what I expected every minute of every day since losing him. He is literally irreplaceable.

Just over a week ago we had to let go of our English Mastiff Daisy. Due to her size we were concerned about how difficult she might be to accomodate. But Pet Rest was able to take her in later in the day and to my heart's surprise she was returned to us the next morning in a lovely cedar box. Thank you for caring for her so quickly. That was the only night in her exceptional life that she has ever spent not by my side. I believe you have a true understanding of how much our babies mean to us and that they deserve all the dignity in the world. They are angels on Earth caring for God's children and should be treated as such. Thank you for taking care of my Baby Girl.

Over the years, I've taken my last two pets to Pet Rest for cremation and have never experienced anything but care, compassion and professionalism. They've definitely got a small town feel to them. The first time I was there, I did see the body of another dog lying on a table next to a cremation burner. I found it didn't bother me though. They had both my babies ashes ready the morning after I dropped each off respectively. These are kind, respectful people who understand what it's like to lose a beloved part of the family. I hugged Ruth, the woman who waited on me both times, and told her to take good care of my babies. She hugged me back and assured me she would. I felt comfort leaving my babies there, after taking both as far as I could.

I unexpectedly lost two kitties on a Friday afternoon and found this place after talking to two other places who seemed to lack empathy with my concerns. I am so glad I found them. They were understanding of my shock and told me to take all the time I needed to say goodbye while giving me comfort, tissues, and sympathy. It was a comfort to me to see my kitties on a blanket in preparation for cremation. My babies were ready the next morning in a beautiful presentation box. I will definitely use them again.

This last Thanks Giving we lost our precious Fuzzy Bear. We called Pet Rest and they took care our pet like a member of our family. He had a burial and we could say good bye to our loved one with peace in our hearts. They took care us and our pet with love, respect and compassion. Thank you for the great idea to write messages around his casket, it turned so beautiful. Thank you for being there for us during the holiday, we really appreciate it and we will never forget you.

We buried our precious poodle here in 1993 and our bestest fat boy last year. We've been coming here about 3-4 times a year for the last 27 yrs and it has always been and still is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The owners maintain the property with utmost care and respect and we're very helpful in our time of need. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to bury our boy due to it been a holiday, but they were quick to respond and made this hard time as easy as possible.

I have had to visit Pet Rest Memorial Park on 2 occasions for our sweet dog babies. We buried Nikki there in the early 90's and we just recently had our sweet Bella cremated and brought home. Both experiences, while very sad, were very good. They were professional and kind. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and they brought me some peace in a difficult time. Thank you for taking care of my beloved canine babies during such a sad time. I would no trouble at all recommending you to any friend or family member going through the same sad time.

I cannot express enough what an amazing place this is when you lose a pet. From start to finish they are professional and compassionate and its not contrived. Its also very affordable. I believe the lady in front office is named Andrea.She was so helpful and kept in constant contact with us until the process was over. The way we were treated here made things so much easier. truly the sweetest most professional person ive done business with in years. refreshing. I will refer anyone who needs these services to Pet Rest Memorial.

We contacted them on a weekend as our Jolie had passed overnight. They arranged for us to come right over and were very kind and caring. Although it was a difficult time for our family, working with Pet Rest was easy and they took care of everything.

My little baby was put down about two weeks ago, and Ricky made everything so convenient and easy. He was kind and helpful. The cherry colored wood box was beautiful and she now sits on my dresser. Thank you for all your kind words and help!

Sadly we had to put one of our furry children down and the vet clinic spelled her name incorrectly on the name plate and certificate. I called and Ricky said he would replace it within 5 minutes. It took me longer to get their but his Wife Met me at the door and was so kind and offered me different choices to make this perfect. She was warm and extremely compassionate. You can tell they both care tremendously about customer service. Great people and a great experience that started out horrible. It's true, it's how you treat people after an error that wins customers over for life, even though it wasn't their fault. Thank you for going above and beyond to help a us cope with the death of a family member. I'll always look to you first in the future. Thank you for being so wonderful!!!!!

I was so pleased with the rapid service I received from using this company. They picked my baby up on Thursday morning and had his remains returned to the vet by Friday morning. I lost another pet 4 weeks before and when the vet I took her to used Toothacres in Carrollton , it took almost two weeks to get her body back. I would fully recommend using Pet Rest Memorial Park and Crematory in the future.

When we lost our last two dogs we were very upset because they are cherished members of our family. We were always met with a very nice man and I thought it was very kind that they include a handsome cedar box for the ashes. We chose cremation as Texas law permits internment of humans with ashes of pets and I someday want to be buried with my dogs as a way to always safeguard their remains. While gardening around my home built in 1964 I have accidentally uncovered several pets which is very sad. The only thing I found a little disturbing was seeing the corpse of my dear bulldog and beagle lying exposed next to a huge cremation oven. A little discretion goes a long way when a person is already in pain and that was not a way I wanted to remember the helpless, sweet creatures who had brought me so much love and companionship.

My wonderful dog, Bruce passed away May 28th. He was cremated on the 29th. I had his ashes back by the 30th.I was so relieved to have him back so fast.He was in a beautiful box with a custom name plate. That was so much more than I expected. I feel that was above and beyond. I think that getting him back home so fast and the beautiful box with his name gave me some closure. Thank you for taking care of my little Nike, my 16 year old kitty. She brought us so much joy and we miss her terribly. Thanks for this service because it helps families who live in the DFW area, but want to memorialize their pets in some other place. My family lives out of state and because Nike was cremated, this will allow me to give her a resting place there. Thanks for your help during this difficult time.

I don't trust or believe that they actually give paw prints of your actual pet. My cat was declawed and the paw print I got back has claw prints on it. This has made an extremely traumatic event so much worse by doubting if the ashes I got back were even actually my cat! I will never use this company again.
