I am beyond impressed with this company. We used them through CodaPet and their whole process was seamless. They came to pick up our fur baby right after he was put to sleep well-prepared with one extra man and a stretcher (our guy was no little man) and took him away promptly. We paid for a private cremation with ashes and a clay paw print returned to us, and were told that it could take up to two weeks. However, we got the phone call five days later saying he was ready to be picked up.When we picked him up, they greeted us in a friendly and welcoming manner and had everything ready for us in a nice blue gift bag. Everything was branded beautifully. There was a blue velvet bag that held the carved wood urn and inside that was a blue satin bag that held his ashes. Then there was a blue box that held his claw paw print. And then there was a blue envelope with the certificate of cremation. Everything was so beautiful - you can tell that they take care, love, and pride in what they do. You are in good hands when you choose Fond Memories Pet Cemetery and Crematorium to take care of your lost loved one.

I’m actually writing this review a couple years late but I want to say that in 2021 when we had the freeze I lost one of my guinea pigs Mars the night after we finally got power back. I woke up in the middle of the night and something just felt “off” and when I checked on my boys Mars and Jupiter, Mars was gone. I broke down and cried for hours, then for months afterwards but in the middle of that I managed to find Fond Memories. When I went to drop Mars off to them covid was still big so they had to come to my car and I was a mess, I’d wrapped Mars up and put him in a picture box which took me a few tries to hand over to the man who was very nice and understanding as I was crying uncontrollably. When I finally did manage to hand Mars over he assured me that they would take great care of him and they did. They really did. I got a really nice wooded box with his ashes inside and it has a plaque with his name and they gave me a little bag with some of his fur and a little mold with his paw impressions in it. I’m just really grateful for how well they cared for him and how kind they were.

Compassionate Pet Vet partnered with Fond Memories in handling our William in October. Receiving his ashes and mementos had an immense impact during our grieving. We were so happy to have him back home. The urn was beautiful and his paw print and nose print are perfect. We thank the team at Fond Memories for taking care of our William in the best way they could.

Our dog Eli fought his battle with kidney disease and unfortunately, he stopped eating so we knew the end was near. We scheduled the appt to have the vet come by two days ahead of time and they definitely made the experience as good as is possible in difficult circumstances. The vet was on-time and greeted us and immediately, showed empathy for what we were going through. She also pet Eli and walked us through the process. Basically, she gives them a shot to put them under and then you wait 5-10 minutes for that to kick-in and then she gives the final dose which ends their suffering. Everything went as it should and afterward, she let us hold our sweet boy and also take some pawprints since he hated us touching his feet when he was alive. When we were done with that, she took him in a dog bed to the car and reassured us that we did the right thing for him. They contacted us about 10 days later to come pick up his remains from their location on Lamar. They were in a blue gift bag along with a note. Overall, this one of the hardest experiences I've had to go through and the support and service provided by Fond Memories was definitely the right choice.

I can't thank Fond Memories enough for taking care of us today. Robert walked us through every step of the service for Lila. I want to thank Robert and his team for being so kind and genuine in what they do. Every piece I received was handled with great care and I couldn't have been more pleased. Today's not much better, but the guidance has helped. Thank you again <3

I'm so impressed with how kind and thoughtful the team at The Pet Loss Center was. When I lost my boy in March, our vet provided us his remains in a kit from The Pet Loss Center. My husband surprised me for mother's day with matching boxes for our other two pups' remains. One of the boxes had a misspelling and we contacted the center that day. Mario immediately responded that he would personally come to our home the following day with a replacement delivery, which he did. I'm so grateful and thankful that such a wonderful organization is here in Austin. I highly recommend them.

Picked up our sweet Albert’s remains today from the vet and I was blown away with what I was presented. A gorgeous box to hold his ashes, a tuft of fur, a paw imprint, and a certificate. So highly professional and no doubt they handled him with care. Thank you all for what you did.As a side note, I also appreciated the bar codes on each item. That tells me that you have good processes in place to make sure that mix ups don’t happen. Another signal of professionalism.

I cannot thank the pet loss center enough. I lost my heart dog this weekend unexpectedly and wanted to make sure he was remembered in every perfect way. I called the center to add on some things to his cremation and spoke with Mario. He was so kind and made sure my order was perfect and told me roughly when to expect my boy back. ❤️ Thank you pet loss center for everything and thank you Mario for helping me ❤️❤️❤️ Rest in Peace Titus

This review is long overdue, I wanted to take time to thank Tyler for always being, friendly and professional. He is the main reason our clinic continues to work with Fond Memories. We can trust that they will take care of our pets arrangements and anytime we have to make changes or have special requests from client Emily has always gone above and beyond for us.Keep up the amazing work!

Losing our sweet Oliver, after 16yrs, has been one of the hardest losses. Fond Memories is the only group I would want to work with for such a difficult thing. They go above and beyond to make sure that your loved one is tracked the whole time. Everything from the paperwork, to the beautiful clay paw print and urn is labeled with his name to be sure our baby is with us. This was very important to me.We opted to have the viewing & private cremation. Everyone was so compassionate on-site & gentle with our needs. We were able to take the time we needed and say goodbye comfortably. I’m so grateful to have found this group and only wish I found them for our other fur babies.

After a devastating house fire where we lost absolutely everything, including our sweet cat Dak. The team at Fond Memories went out of their way to help ease the pain and discomfort of memorializing the remains. Cecilia was so kind and patient during such a difficult time, I can’t thank her enough for taking care of us.

Our baby of almost 16 years passed away and I was not just going send her off with just anyone.I read reviews and Find Memories had a lot of positive reviews. We would like to thank Emily at Fond Memories for being so helpful answering our questions and explaining with the process of cremation and made sure the process went smooth. When we went to pick Chelsea up she was put in a beautiful little box with her name on it and now she's back home where she belongs .Nothing but a wonderful thing to say about Fond Memories

The entire experience was gentle, very kind, and helpful with the knowledgeable staff. They have a nice variety of urns for purchase in the store and welcomed me to look at them and ask any questions. The velvet bag that we received with the ashes is beautiful and appreciated❤️

Extremely EXTREMELY unprofessional. My pet recently passed away and I was unfortunately not in town. I had the Vet put a hold on his body until the 6th so I could come back to see him and decide about what to do. BUT NO, apparently on the 3rd, he was “accidentally” picked up and “accidentally” cremated and had his ashes spread on the garden WITHOUT my permission or knowledge. This company came to pick up his body, which had a HOLD status and decided it was okay to take him anyways. So yea, now I can’t even see him for the last time nor able to get his paw print or ashes. And I was NOT contacted by anyone ever throughout all this. I called twice to make sure they are able to hold him until the date. But they took him literally a day right after he was admitted?? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY.

These people lost my dogs ashes. They literally mixed my dogs remains with another dog and couldn’t provide me with his ashes. They called me the other day to tell me they had my dogs remains, my dog died 3 months ago. When I told the employee who called me, they put me on hold and realized they messed up. Again. This place is so disorganized and it’ll be something I’ll never forget. If you thought your best friend dying wasn’t bad enough. Try this right after. I’m seriously at a loss for words. Unimaginable. When I tell people what happened, they are horrified. This place is horrific. Stay away.

Just having to go through this difficult time with my little guy was so hard. Kyle with Found Memories was so helpful over the phone and in person very kind and took his time with me knowing this is a hard decision. I requested part of my Sammy’s blanket back and he made sure plus had it in a bag to protect it. I appreciate them following my wishes for my sweet baby. Highly recommend them to take care of loved ones that passed.

Everyone on this team is honestly wonderful. I was able to get my boy’s cremains back the very same day, and Emily and Jerry made sure that happened. I hope you’re lucky enough to work with Emily, because her kindness and warmth made such a hard moment bearable. Robert the manger was such a rockstar also. I wasn’t totally in love with a couple of things initially, and he went so far above and beyond to ensure that I was cared for, it just made me know that this was the best place to trust with my baby. This whole team truly cares about what they do for us, and I cannot recommend them enough. All my thanks, from the bottom of my heart.

I can’t say enough about Fond Memories. The experience could not have been any better. Sarah, Robert, Crystal, Emily, and John were all so respectful and kind, through each and every step of the process. It was evident that they really care and take great care in all they do. We spent the most time with Robert. He was very professional, knowledgeable, considerate, and comforting. He is truly passionate about the service they provide and also has a great deal of compassion. My time there was spent with friends who had also lost a pet, so we went through the experience together. I know they would echo all of my sentiments. I would highly recommend Fond Memories. We are very thankful and grateful for them.

As an Austin veterinarian who deals exclusively in end-of-life care, I am very grateful to have the wonderful service Fond Memories provides available for Austin pet parents. My clients always have such positive feedback about how respectful and caring the staff at Fond Memories is. I have trusted Fond Memories with my own pet’s cremation and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you to Robert, Emily and the amazing staff for providing such dignity for our beloved pets.

When my cat Mikey died the day before Thanksgiving, I was shattered. Still am, in many ways. An employee at Fond Memories named Emily was very helpful, supportive, and reassuring at first: when I reached out via email to confirm that Mikey had arrived and was given a private cremation, she responded to me within a day to confirm all of this. She told me I could contact her with any additional questions, even if I just needed someone to talk to. She reiterated how confusing and upsetting the process of grieving a pet could be, which I really appreciated at the time. However, the reason I'm forced to leave a 2-star review is this: after we picked up his ashes and the lovely paw print impression that was cast into fragile plaster, I sent a follow-up email, asking for tips on how best to protect the plaster cast. Emily responded that same day, recommending that I put the print into a shadow box, and advising that Fond Memories could make a copy of it if worse came to worse. I responded to ask if they would need me to bring in the print to make a copy, or if they have a digital copy on file, available upon request (I feel this is important information, as once it's in a shadow box, I would have trouble getting it back out again). When I asked that question, I was ghosted completely. I sent a polite follow up, advising that I merely wanted a simple "yes" or "no" answer to this question. That email was never responded to, either. I even gave them the benefit of the holidays doubt, but now that it's January 10, I have to assume that business has resumed as usual, my cat was written off as property I no longer own, and because they're not expecting any additional money from me, they no longer see the need to assist me further. Which makes me feel as though telling me I could "reach out even if I just needed to talk" was merely an empty sentiment that gets extended to everyone, but holds no actual value. In short (to wrap up a review that has been anything but) I just want to honor the memory of my cat and stand up to those who would just ignore anything that's too difficult or unpleasant. (But really, all they had to do was answer this question, and they'd probably never hear from me again). I hope this information is helpful to others who are experiencing pet grief: your loss is valid and deserves to be treated as such, not ignored or disregarded when it's too inconvenient to respond to someone in crisis.*********************Here's an update: I've changed this rating to 5 stars. After posting this review, the facility manager, Robert, called me personally to apologize, and offered me a copy of Mikey's paw print, on the house. The reps were incredibly kind and helpful when I brought in the print to have a copy made, and explained the process further in person, so I have a more detailed understanding of what to do now in case worse should come to worse. I'm grateful to have had this misunderstanding cleared up, and to know there are plenty of wonderful, caring people still out there in this world.

I am so grateful for Fond Memories being there when I lost my two babies less than 2 1/2 mths apart. There are no words on how much I appreciate them all. Both times, Crystal walked us through every step of the service and just want to thank her again for her kindness.

Sabrina is Awesome, the Best!!!!Thank you so very much from all our family. She started mi consultation over the phone out of state, so Profesional, Sympathetic & Reasuring. Right to the point of what I asked for & not selling mi anything I didn't need but left plenty of options to think about. All said & done ,first time going through this for pet but Sabrina @ Fond Memories pet cemetery took care of us on a totally different level & at a reasonable price for mi rabbit Umi.Once again, Thank you, Fond Memories & Thank you Sabrina.

I am blown away by the attention to detail and sheer beauty of the item I received for my Baby Girls cremation. Thank you so very much for the quality and care used when putting this together, I appreciate it more than I can express. Everything from the beautiful bronze heart urn to the insanely cute paw print and tiny little hair clippings, all done with obvious care. Thank you so much for offering this beautiful service I feel better knowing Baby Girl, A female Russian Dwarf, was honored in such a way after her death.

We emailed the day before we were in need of their service. They responded after hours, several times, to help walk us through the process. When our Icarus passed naturally, we canceled the in home service easily via email. I brought Icarus to them and two employees stood outside with me while I talked about him. They shared stories of their grief and gave me advice on how to explain death to my toddlers. When I kissed my 16 year puppy goodbye, they took him away with care. Every phone call and interaction I had with Fond Memories was respectful and full of nothing but love. I purchased several items from them and probably would have changed some of what I purchased. My loss was unexpected and I did not have much time to clearly think. But I do not regret any items I purchased. I am grateful that they were kind and slow in explaining that I need to get everything I want from Icarus before cremation. I bought the paw print charm engraved with his paw, I wish I had gotten a larger one as it looks a little squished. But I am happy with the item. I also got a pendant to hold a little piece of him so now I feel more like he's with me. I'll forever miss my little buddy but at least I can set up a beautiful memorial for him.Thank you.

When my baby passed I called Fond Memories. They were super compassionate, understanding, and personable. The lady on the phone took her time to explain everything and ensure I was ok. They were able to come out that day within hours. The guys that came to my house were very respectful and gave me time to say goodbye before they took my baby. We were able to get our baby back in a few days. I can't thank them enough for the ease of the whole situation as it's never easy.

I have nothing but great things to say about Fond Memories. My old black lab finally got to his time in life to depart. I chose to have an at-home euthanasia through Door Step Vet. Fond memories did the follow-up. When I went to pick him up they were very kind and friendly as they brought my boy out. I struggled to keep myself together and the gentleman that was there did a great job at helping keep my focus on the situation at hand. The box/urn that they put him in was beautiful and they also added a certificate and resources for grief. I am extremely grateful for the care that they provided with my lab and for everything they've done since. If you ever have to go through this with your pet, I can't recommend Fond Memories enough. For the rest of my life I will have a reminder of my lab all thanks to Fond Memories.

Sadly, this is our second occasion to choose Fond Memories - this time for our sweet girl’s cremation. Our first occasion was 2 years ago last June when they took care of our cancer riddled Golden. Everything happened so fast- a blessing for our dear 4 pawed children but leaving us reeling in grief. At a time like that it’s critical to be able to trust that a facility is going to do what they say. We chose individual cremation for our fur babies with their cremains return in a simple wooden box. We also get a paw print. They have many service options at all price ranges.Because of the size of our dogs, we opted for them to come to our home to take them to the crematory. In both situations our pets were treated with dignity and respect. Harley was so large they had 2 attendees and with Nani- she had lost a lot of weight so Dr Maggie helped the attendant get her situated on the stretcher and covered with a blanket. The young man from Fond Memories didn’t seem surprised that I was blubbering away and he expressed his sympathy. They leave your sweet pets face uncovered and you can have as much time as you need with them. Then they carefully place them in their transport vehicle on the stretcher, and drive them away. Dr. Maggie assured us Nani would be treated in a dignified manner throughout the entire process and that we would be called when her cremains were ready to come home. We feel confident in that part of the process. We recommend them should you need their services. They have a cemetery available too.

We just received Gizmo's paw print from Fond Memories. It brought tears to our eyes again when we took it out of the box. It was very hard for us to let go of our precious friend Gizmo and we will cherish this forever. It arrived well packaged in a beautiful blue box. Thank you Fond Memories for taking care of our little friend!😥❣️

I picked up my sweet pet rat today. Upon dropping him off the staff was incredibly understanding and compassionate. It might sound odd to cremate a pet rat but he meant so much to us and Fond Memories validated our feelings by taking good care of him. From the urn to the paw prints, everything is so delicately done. Couldn’t ask for better service, thank you.

I used Fond Memories through Lap of Love. The two companies seem to have handled things between them so I did not have to think too much about arrangements. My cat was taken care of in a reasonably quick time and pickup was very easy. I greatly appreciated that they have Saturday hours. When I got the call on a Friday, I didn't have the energy to make it out in time, but also did not want to leave him there all weekend, so it was a great help to me.

I am so appreciative of Fond Memories. My family and I had the most amazing send off of our very loved dog Jazzy. Carlos calm into our home with a very calm energy. He allowed us to place Jazzy into an adorable wicker basket and carry her outside. He gave us all the time that we wanted to say our final goodbyes. Now our last memories of our very loved dog is her peaceful in a wicker basket covered in a blanket. Fond Memories has been great at communicating with me about when Jazzy's ashes will be ready. Thank you Fond Memories!

We received our pups cremains today and I have to say it was thoughtful, beautiful and actually brought me comfort. It just felt like our pup was respected after death with the way she was presented to us. We have had several pets cremated elsewhere and this presentation is the best by far. Thank you!

Everyone I interacted with at Fond Memories was empathetic and super professional. It’s a very difficult thing to lose a long time companion pet, but the loss is made so much easier due to the people and processes at Fond Memories. Thank you all so much.

Not only did they come across town to pick up my baby but the service was priceless. Carlos was extremely patient and made sure we were comfortable at every step. He brought a wicker basket to carry my sweet dog out in and covered her in a blanket. He made the last moments we physically had with her peaceful. I couldn't be more grateful. ❤

I brought my guinea in pig today.when I showed up I got something very unexpected, I was greeted by Mario the manager, it was so welcoming as soon as I opened the front door. Through every single process we felt so comfortable and could tell he really cared. He was so helpful and so caring he was so understanding about everything and patient with us, he walked us through step by step and made sure we were apart of everything. There wasn't a moment I didn't feel welcomed there. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. I would never take any of my other pets anywhere else, if you want a caring place and you want the best for your furry friend I honestly suggest bringing them here, i appreciate everything Mario did for us today. Me and my family are now at peace knowing everything was taken care of so respectfully. As soon as Mario speaks to you, you can already tell how much he really cares he puts his heart into his work and loves what he does. He shared some stories with us and did everything possible to cheer us up. Best decision ever to bring my little furry baby here, I could never thank you enough. God bless you and your team that helped

Picked up my cremation today. This is the first experience for me and my first dog to get cremated. Super sweet staff. I am so happy and in love with what I received today. Brought me so much peace and comfort finally having my baby back home. I also got a necklace of a paw print with my dogs ashes in it. Again, super happy. I highly recommend this place!!! Thank you Mario and Emily <3

Absolutely above and beyond! We lost our 14YO Westie and had him cremated with Fond Memories. They took excellent care of him and returned him with a few extras I was not expecting, including his paw print with his name on it. It made a huge impact, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention they put in to help us through the grief. I will love and cherish his life with the help of Fond Memories Thank you so much!

FOND MEMORIES is without peer! Sabrina handled my precious K9’s final arrangements with the utmost sensitivity & professionalism. Sabrina helped turn a tragedy into a loving dignified memorial to a beloved member of my family. Thank You Sabrina. Thank You FOND MEMORIES🙏💕🌈🐺

Fond Memories presented us with a stunningly beautiful royal blue velvet bag containing a beautifully carved wooden box containing a smaller blue velvet bag that holds our wonderful King's ashes. In addition, there is a label with King's name engraved on it. There are a few other items included, but this final resting place is simply wonderful.

I received the beautiful package with my sweet kitty’s ashes. It feels so good to have her home. Everything was so well done with such compassion. However, when I saw her paw print, I was shocked. They evidently pushed hard on her foot so the claws would cone out. It looks scary & horrible. I received a foot print 2 yrs ago when one of my cats passed that is so Sweet. Just her pretty little pads. & I adore looking at them. She touched me with those sweet pads. Not with her claws. The paw print I just received is also larger than it should be. Looking at those large claws makes me very uncomfortable.

I am so happy this place exists. They took such good care of my best bud of 13 years. Emily called me to let me know he was "ready" and you could just here the compassion in her voice. Upon arrival, I got the same kind and sincere welcome. Their job has to be hard. Brody's remains came in a beautiful wooden box with a gold plated plaque with his name on it, along with a plaster of paris paw print. The notes inside were also beautiful. I even loved the extra touch of having wild flowers to plant in your beloved pets honor. Thank you so much for making a difficult time so special.
Caitlin Zurcher
Both of my cats have been sent here by a vet for prints and cremation. The first one was sort of okay. Doesn’t really look like his paw, but I stayed open minded because some materials don’t hold prints well. The second one is a mess. That’s the picture I’ve added to the review. It took 2 months to bring myself to even open the box with her keepsake and to see this? I’m pretty livid, to say the least. It looks very sloppy. This clay print is absolutely unacceptable and seems like the minimum amount of effort was put into it. This is supposed to be a memorial for a cherished family member, not whatever this turned out to be.

I was absolutely blown away by the Pet Loss Center. The people there are so kind and truly do know how to relate during such a difficult time. These people have compassion for what they do and it really does show. I received the ashes, a very nice paw print with his name on the clay, and a piece of his fur. The one thing that I really wasn't expecting was the wildflower seeds that were in the pamphlet that comes with the journey urn. Now I can plant these wild flowers in honor of my cat, Isaiah. Thank you guys for the amazing service. I will be recommending you to all of my loved ones.

I am so grateful this service and these people exist. They coordinated with the mobile vet and came out on time. They took a relaxed approach to the process of picking up old Jack and waited while we settled ourselves with his end.The staff were gentle with the old man and cared for him as I would have myself. When his remains were returned they were tastefully cared for. There's no easy way to do this but these people took good care of us and Jack throughout.Thank you. It means a lot.

We were in shock when we had to make the painful decision to allow our beloved Kiwi to die with the dignity she deserved. When the veterinarian asked our wishes for her remains, we opted for cremation. She was our first fur baby and we therefore did not know what to expect. We were utterly overwhelmed when her remains were returned to us in a beautiful wood container, an imprint of her paw print, and a lock of her hair. We were brought to tears by the most unexpected! Staff at the Pet Loss Center took the time to groom our Kiwi and took the most beautiful photo we will forever cherish. The caring and professionalism exemplified in their service exceeds all expectations! Thank you so much.

I'm not a pet parent (well, I am, but my pets haven't been managed by the Pet Loss Center yet) but I am a veterinarian. I just wanted to share that I've had several clients in the past couple weeks in particular who have been so comforted by the job that the Pet Loss Center has done that they've commented to me specifically. When I've returned their pet's ashes, they were beside themselves with the obvious care that went into the whole process. They may not think to thank who really is behind this quality work, so I wanted to do if for them.Thank you to Heather, Mario, Chris, and everyone at the Pet Loss Center--your efforts do not go unnoticed, even when you don't meet your clients personally.

The Pet Loss Center is the best at what they do. They know compassion, love, and grief through and through. I work at an Animal Hospital who works very closely with the Pet Loss Center, and can assure you that everything they do is done with the utmost respect, gentleness, and care. From providing counseling to grieving families, to at home pick ups any time one is needed. Not only do they do this with kind hearts, but they will go above and beyond for each pet parent to help them through the grieving process. If a pet parent wants a wake and a funeral for their baby, The Pet Loss Center will do that. If a parent wants to sit in the viewing room and hold their baby all day, someone will be right there so you don't have to go through the pain alone. Even if a pet parent wants to be with their pet through the entire cremation process, they will honor that decision to be with your pet until the very end. They provide a beautiful selection of urns and jewelry to honor the life of your pet, and can even have a pet's ashes made into a beautiful painting. I can't say enough wonderful things about The Pet Loss Center. I do hope that if you're reading this review and are looking for someone who will honor, respect, and love your pet during his/her after life care and be there to help you through your loss, please give them a call and know that every word of this was written from the heart and truly meant.

Thank God for Fond Memories and their staff. We had to put down out beloved dog Jack on Saturday and made arrangements for cremation. On Monday we received a call from the vet saying they could not find Jack. I was frantic and called Fond memories and spoke to Laura over in Conroe. Laura put me in touch with Mario the manager at the Austin branch. Mario went above and beyond his duties to help us when our beloved Jack "went missing" at the vet's office. Immediately Mario knowing the situation sprung into action calling us for a detailed description. After much searching Mario located Jack ( he sent us two pictures for us to confirm he had been found.) Mario then took personal responsibility and by expediting the process knowing we were quite stressed. We received Jack's remains in a special box with is name engraved today. We are so thankful for caring people like Mario andLaura and Fond Memories. A bid 5 stars - you are the best!

Honestly, while I am glad that this service exists, I was really disappointed with the level of service I received. I worked with a euthanasia vet and she coordinated with Fond Memories. After our appointment, she left me with a card indicating that I'd hear from Fond Memories in a week. Due to the Easter holiday, a week came and went with no call. It was incredibly uncomfortable for me to call and inquire about the "status" of my loved one. I would have really appreciated a call or email with an update on the delay, as the lack of communication made me anxious that my baby had been lost or misplaced or forgotten.I was told to come after 3PM. When I arrived, a sign on the door indicated that I needed to call (again) to let them know I'd arrived, due to COVID protocols. There was one person working and she was assisting someone else, so my call was not answered. The process took quite a while and it was not at all handled with care. When she finally brought out the remains, she handed me a gift bag and said cheerfully, "Here's [My Pet]!" This was not a cheery day or moment. It felt very much like I was picking up take out. I was and am very heartbroken and this entire interaction just added salt to an already painful wound.I just think a year into a pandemic, this business should have a better process in place that doesn't require customers to make phone call(s) during an already difficult time. A texting option for pick up would have been really appreciated.---EDIT: I spoke with Mario and he apologized for the communication breakdowns that I experienced. He listened to my suggestions and took my feedback to heart, which I appreciate from any business. I can tell that Fond Memories does care about animals, and I was glad to hear from Mario that my pet was treated with respect and dignity while at the facility.

Our beloved Lily passed away after a long, but short, battle with kidney failure. We knew we wanted to have her cremated, so we had to search for options. We are SO thankful we found Fond Memories. Mario and the staff are amazing, they answered all of our questions and handled this vulnerable moment in our lives with absolute love and kindness. We are so grateful to have Lily at home with us now. Thank you so much to the entire staff!

The compassion exhibited throughout the entire process is unmatched. They took time to explain everything to me when I called to gain information when I had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to my Teeter. We brought Teeter in ourselves as a walk in visit and the staff was so accommodating to give us enough time with him and everything was handled so peacefully and respectfully. Every interaction I had with someone at the center ends with an extension of compassion and an offer to let them know if I need anything, even just to talk, which is so helpful in the grieving process - knowing that someone cares and understands. The package of items received when I picked up Teeter really helps with remembering him, his special personality, and his unique presence.

In my grief, I had my vet take care of my Rowdy Boy after his death and they had the Pet Loss Center of Austin come and pick Rowdy up. Rowdy was not placed in an urn like my previous dog was and I was upset, so I called and spoke with the Manager, Mario. Mario was so incredibly professional, compassionate and so caring of my needs and he told me he would help me in anyway he could. We placed Rowdy in a more similar urn that matched my previous dogs urn and it truly made me feel better. Thank you so much Mario, for your caring compassionate words and handling of my Rowdy Boy. It was greatly appreciated.

I hate writing bad reviews but I'm so distraught in my experience I can't imagine someone else going through what I went through. Let me say first that if my whole experience had been with Emily from beginning to end this would be a very different review. My fur baby had passed away that morning and I wanted him cremated. I skimmed over places with the best reviews and chose this one. My partner called and spoke with Emily letting her know that we would be in but we did not set a time. By the time we made it there she had just stepped out for lunch. I wish I would have waited for her to come back. I don't remember the name of guy we talked with I just remember he had a lot of tattoos (I have nothing against tattoos). I had my baby wrapped in a blanket and set him down to use the restroom and when I came back he had already started questioning my partner. They was no warmth, sympathy or any emotion outside of this was a business transaction. When asked if I had a cat or a dog he just lifted up the blanket and said "oh, cat." and let it fall back down like it was no big deal. When asked if I wanted a hair clipping I guess he didn't look long enough to realize my cat was hairless. I also explained the reason why I wanted paw and nose prints of my cat for tattoo purposes conveying the detail wanted from each. He had to redo the paperwork 3 times because he was scribbling through it and each time I had to proof read and point out what he missed and do this all over again. After the comments section was done then I finally was able to read the rest and had no idea what the glass bead was or anything and had to pry further for that information. The nose print I received is a haphazard muzzle print with no clear print of his nose and I can't use it for the purpose of what I needed it for. Did you know that a cat's nose print is as distinct as a human fingerprint? Also his feet were shoved so hard into the clay print I can see the bottom of his nail beds are in the print. Furious doesn't even begin to cover this. Also on our way out he was commenting on how *cool* my shade covers were for my car. I'm sure this is a great place that cares but whoever that was should not be working there. The experience was heart breaking enough. Now all I can see is the body of my cat with ink all over his face and dirty paws. I just read that you have the option to be with your pet through the whole cremation process and that was NEVER offered to me as I would have done that without hesitation.

Honestly... I can’t imagine better honor and quality service for my sweet dog that passed away. The beautiful wooden carved urn/box, the paw print, and the beautiful poems that were included. It touched my heart beyond belief. Thank you for what you did for my sweet boy, and thank you for all that you do. God bless you.

Last week our precious 14 year-old boy kitty, very sick from intestinal carcinoma, required home euthanasia. We were grateful when the vet who aided in his passing also worked with The Pet Loss Center. The coordination was easy which is so helpful at a time when you're grieving.Mike came to pick him up and we were impressed with his kindness; also how sweet the basket/blanket was that they used to transport him in.Emily was also very compassionate and helpful when I called her afterwards with questions. They both treated us and our Kenshin with kindness and care.We were gratefully impressed by the deatils put into all the rememberences: The wood urn with nameplate, his paw-prints and also the well-selected clippings they got of his fur (from a few different spots so to get all his lovely colors)I wish we could give more than 5 stars. Thanks again, Pet Loss Center of Austin!

We had to say goodbye to one of our cats and The Pet Loss Center was the crematorium used by the veterinarian who performed the euthanization. I was very impressed with the service provided by The Pet Loss Center. The basic urn was a beautiful cherry box with a metal name tag on top. In addition, we received touching "extras" such as a memorial card that had a quote on it and a heart shaped adornment which could be planted for wildflowers to grow. The Pet Loss Center understands how devastating it is to lose our animal companions and it shows in their service.

Thank you SO much. You guys were perfect not only on the phone but also in person. Having a multi colored animal, i was ever so pleasantly suprised of the hair clippings. That may be odd for some, but i really feel like you guys DID it all. A million times THANKS. Thank you.❣️

I’m very grateful to had the privilege to go thru The Pet Loss Center me and my family had a good experience getting back our beloved dogs ashes. Just how they put together a piece of our beloved dog included with her ashes. Thank you so much the way the cremation was handle with care and respect and professional. We miss our dog everyday I know it’s part of life but I never taught it would hurt this much.

If I could rate this it would be no star. The reason is they deiced that my lovely pet was cremated the next day when we said to hold. Highly don’t recommend this place because it’s unprofessional couldn’t even see my pup one last time. Couldn’t get his paw print or his ashes.

We unexpected had to make a difficult decision of having to put down our pet at the vet's office. Called this place before we said our goodbyes to our dog. I understand it was after hours, but it prompted me to leave a message and number and the person on call would call. So I left a message. Again, I called around 2 hours later to make arrangements to have our pet cremated and again left a message since I didn't hear from anyone. Going thru the grief and trying to make arrangements for our dog, I have to find another place to make arrangements for our dog. As of now, no one even bother to call back after leaving two messages. Were making arrangements to take our pet else where. I do not recommend this place.

Our sweet family dog passed away and we of course wanted him cremated when we brought him to Banfield. When we picked up his ashes we were completely overwhelmed with everything they gave us to remember him with. Completely unexpected. Seeing the beautiful box his ashes remain in, his paw print, and seeing a pouch of his fur made me break down and cry. Thank you so much for putting so much care and respect into this. It touched us and we will forever have these things to remember him by.

We had to put our cat down unexpectedly and thank goodness the pet loss center was there. We have our cats ashes in a beautiful wood box with his name engraved on top. Thank you for being there and treating our Sully with the respect he deserved.

Fond Memories through Banfield did an amazing job setting up our Missy Valenzuela keep sake. I'm so greatful to have these precious prayers n notes in my time of grief. Thank you so much. Thank you for caring for my little ones passing in such a special way. Thank you!

My wonderful vet scheduled the Pet Loss Center of Austin to pick up my beloved 17 year old cat, Cruba, after his home euthanasia. Matt with the Pet Loss Center was incredibly kind and professional. I am extremely grateful for his empathy towards me in a painful situation and his care in handling Cruba. They were equally as kind when I picked up Cruba's ashes, paw print, and fur clipping later that same week.

The people from this Center are amazing. They arrived exactly on time, were gracious and respectful. They gave my girl a dignified service, from my front door, til I recieved her remains. They are just perfect in a situation that couldn't be less so.

You guys are absolutely amazing. Incredibly friendly and professional, and their compassion towards you and your lost pet is unmatched. Thank you guys for taking such good care of me and Bootz. Her urn and everything that came along with it was beautiful, I couldn’t ask for more. Again, thank you guys so much. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Ami Mueller

Went for pricing, when I arrived I could have sworn the guy working had ashes on his shirt when he came around from the back room. On top of that I felt insulted when they showed me the "Urn." It was nothing more than a glorified cardboard shoe-box. They provide other urns for a higher cost. Found another service that provided me superior pricing and a lovely engraved wooden urn at a substantially lower price.

I just want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart, I picked up my baby’s remains today from the Bluebonnet vet on riverside and Oltorf. I wasn’t ready to choose what kind of urn for her but you guys did and I love it, she came back in the rose wood carved urn 😭I’m just glad my baby is home , she is now pain free except for me my pain is going to be life long until I see her again💔 Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thus firm cremated our cat "Rando". They did a good job with the whole process - except one item. They took his paw print and spelled the name WRONG. On the ashes and all else it is spelled correctly "Rando" but on the foot print they spelled it "Ronda". I called multiple time to ask for this to be fixed, at least once I was told that they would call me back. 4 weeks later - no call back and no correction of their error.
Sandra Steele
The fellow they sent to gather our lovely big girls remains was so kind and caring. Everything they did was with the greatest respect. I can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who’s pet has reached the end of their journey.

I just received my dog, Maggie back today and I can’t say enough about the beautiful presentation and care they gave my precious pup. Thank you for these lasting memories ❤️

Beautifully put together package with warm sentiment, beautiful words and cherished keepsakes. It's nice to sit and look through any time. I also have the cherry box with a brass name plate for ashes.

They were very kind and very professional but the urn I received looked a little cheap. I ordered something similar on amazon for $15 years earlier and had thrown it out. I am very very grateful to them for the cremation but I will be ordering a nicer urn.

I want to say how impressed I am with the excellent service Fond Memories provided in memory of my sweet cat, Wally. Just recently my husband and I moved across country from the Austin area and during our move, Wally’s cedar memory box got damaged/scratched so I called Fond Memories who originally did Wally’s cremation and spoke to Cecilia and she was so sympathetic and kind when I explained what had happened and spent time with me to make sure I could purchase another one exactly like the one I had.Cecilia did an outstanding job packaging the cedar box to make sure it did not get damaged during transit and it arrived just perfect!Thank you again for the outstanding kindness and care you showed and for giving me a peace of mind to make sure I had this beautiful cedar box for Wally’s ashes.
