Our dog, Sadie, passed away unexpectedly and Resthaven really took care of us. We called them that day after Sadie passed and dropped her off. Within three days we had her back. We really loved everything they had to offer. Our Sadie was in great hands and we will always use Resthaven in the future. I would recommend resthaven to anyone this is the second pet I have had done and they always treat us will dignity. RESPECT they were very nice from the time we dropped her off to the time we picked her up. Her paw was perfect hair and all recommend.

Were referred by surgeon at UT. Stated had received positive feedback so usually recommends. However, maybe overall service here has changed since then.Positive: arrangements were easily made. The man my husband communicated with via phone was friendly and easy to work with. Decorative wooden box for the ashes was pretty. Time of service was reasonable.Negative: My husband called on our way to pick up Midnight (as we live almost 2 hrs away). When we arrived, no cars parked at building, no one would answer phone. Already an extremely emotional and trying day/week ..After sitting there for a bit, two unanswered phone calls later, woman comes whipping into parking, rolls down window āpicking up or dropping off?ā My husband advises picking up Midnight. She kinda sighs then says ābe right backā. Pulls out, gone a few minutes, comes back. Says has two pickups so making sure she had right one, tosses one on her hood, then hands us ours. Papers just paperclipped together, no folder or envelope. Hops back in her car, whips out of the parking. No kindness, no condolences, no caring. Never asked what we thought of the box, the prints, nothing. Let me describe ink pawprints I asked for. My husband asked to make sure they got the print (as I wanted to get a tattoo). When we finally get over the shock of the unprofessional manner in which we were serviced, I take a look at prints. They are terrible. They look as if her entire paw was drenched in ink and smeared on page. Hardly any outline to paw, NO definition to texture, smudges all over sides, and on one can tell someone had it underneath a paper they were writing on as can see impressions in paper. I am COMPLETELY devastatedā¦prints are just totally unacceptable. Look more akin to inkblot test. Itās not like this is something that could be REDONE. Cannot fathom, knowing most people frame these or even get tattooed, that someone looked at these and said āyeah those look goodā. Definitely feel like were done with little care.Wooden box was nice, but apparently, could have chosen urn for upgrade (as we read on other reviews that also complained about no urn). However never given that option to upgrade. My husband even questioned on phone during arrangements about it being a box, rather than an urn, the guy just said it was a very nice decorative box. So we didnāt push any further thinking that was only option. Very much have liked the option. As far as memorial sticker on box, definitely nothing fancy, but what bothered me the most? On ācompanion ofāā¦only put my husbandās name. Again, werenāt told even needed to provide information. Never once was asked āwho should we listā. Plan to print OWN label to fix this.Probably would have been ok with most things, pawprints aside, but being treated as if an inconvenience at pickup, no professionalism, just a hand off across cars more or less, thatās just NOT how you do business. Especially with something of this nature. If someone is taking the time and expense to have their pet cremated, CLEARLY they were a beloved family member and should be treated with more respect.So no, I would NOT recommend using RestHaven. After being treated with SUCH kindness, caring, professionalism at UT, we trusted their recommendation, didnāt question it. We now wish we had read the OTHER bad experience reviews here on google BEFORE deciding. And I KNOW the business will probably respond to this (like they have many other negative reviews) going on about things having to be asked for, or āall services are listed on websiteā, etcā¦ but we were never OFFERED options, never TOLD about a website, nothingā¦ and before you come at me with āthereās no account under my nameā, no itās under by husbandās Joshua Johnson.So many RECENT negative reviewsā¦ majority of positive ones seem to be from some time backā¦ so maybe at one time was a great place, but seems based on our experience, as well as others recent experiences, it does not have same level of service.So please, do yourself a favor, and look to get your services elsewhere.

Cost - 5/5Professionalism 5/5Customer Service 5/5Speed 5/5No one wants to have to be in the position to even write a review about a business like this, but thank goodness it exists.They offer white glove service to alleviate the stress a grieving pet owner may already be going through.Ashley was amazing, empathetic, and made this whole process much easier to deal with for me.Not sure about the bad reviews, but maybe take the time to give this place a chance and realize you cannot please everyone.I hate that I lost my best friend but....... I am happy they took good care of his remains and delivered him back to me rather quickly.Thanks again Rest Haven. I keep him in a place I can look at him daily!

Iāve never had to use a crematory but unfortunately I lost my sweet Batchelor in February unexpectedly. Needless to say I am devastated. Resthaven was recommended by Karen from Danes for Dames and Iām so glad I took her advice. The staff here is quite empathetic to our suffering as we have just lost a part of our family. They returned Batch in a nice mahogany box and also made extra prints that I shared with others that loved him. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service during this dark time in my life. Gave me the wrong urn, the wrong death certificate, were 3 days late on delivery. I've called 4 times and asked them to fix it and nothing. It is always " oh we'll take care of it first thing tomorrow" probably not even my dog's ashesEdit: I guess I'm just making it up. Instead of reaching out privately to make it right, calling me a liar here to save face looks so much better. The service in question was for "Dixon". He was picked up from Asheville Highway Animal Hospital on December 14th, 2023. When I called to make arrangements I specifically said it was to be under my name, and that I wanted to purchase the picture urn. The name given on the certificate was Melissa Rogers, my mother.

Our second time using RestHeaven wasnāt nothing like the first time. The first was Perfect. This time wasnāt so good. First you talk to a different person every time you call. Second was quoted a price when I first calledā¦ā¦but the price was higher when we got there to pick up our baby. No paw print this time said we had to ask for it. Got one the first time we used them 3 years ago and didnāt ask then so I thought it came with it this time Wrong.it would have meant a lot to me to have it.Probably want use again because of all the confusion.To your response I told you what urn I wanted and you quoted me a price. And you didnāt do anything for Free we paid the lady when we picked him up get your story straight.

I lost my Shea on December 1, 2021. I was able to take her to Rest Haven within an hour. They met me and immediately took her. The lady who met me was beyond wonderful to us and seemed to genuinely care. She gave me time to say goodbye before they took her to be cremated. This morning (December 2, 2021) I returned to pick up Shea's remains and was beyond satisfied with the way they handled everything. Courteous, professional, respectful, and caring. Definitely a bright spot in this difficult time. I highly recommend them.

I was very hesitant about doing cremation because I had never done it before. I had a lot of friends who told me to take my Sadie here because theyāre amazing. After speaking with the girls in the office and asking a lot of questions, they talked about the whole process and answered all of the questions I had. They were very patient with me and took great care of my pet. I got my Sadie back the next day and they put her in a cute little urn too!

We just received our Parker Dogs ashes from our Vet. They are in a nice teakwood box which is exactly the kind of things I keep around me. I was shattered after losing my girl of 14 years. She was cremated here and I had her wrapped up in a quilt when I brought in her body. I asked if they would return my quilt that my dog loved when we picked up the ashes. They said they would but when I picked up the ashes I was too distraught and forgot to ask for it. I've called repeatedly and left messages to go pick it up. Once they said we could pick it up and had until a certain time to get it. My husband was literally 1 minute past that time (we live an hour away) and they were gone and couldn't get a hold of them...they knew he was coming!! Since then we've left multiple messages and call very frequently and they won't answer our calls or return our messages. All I want is some closure and my quilt back that my dog Addy loved to sleep in under. To say I'm hurt is a huge understatement as I'm crying typing this out. She passed away on January 7th and here it is almost April and I still can't get my quilt.Update: they finally answered my phone call and I finally got my quilt back after 4 months.

I am very impressed with the compassion given here. It is hard losing your pet but the person who took the information when we dropped my baby off to be cremated was super nice and understanding. Even though she had just found her pet deceased she did not rush me through anything. I felt bad for her because i was trying to get the information out through the tears. We dropped our dog off yesterday and then picked up his remains and paw print this morning. He came in a simple but elegant box. I could not have asked for a more simple process. The cost for what you get is worth every penny!

Euthanized Thomas (our elderly cat) & Resthaven Pet Services was recommended to us for cremation..so on July 13, 2022, I called them on way home from Karns Animal Clinic. Can't remember who I spoke with mainly because I was beyond upset...she was empathetic & walked me thru the process. I paid the fee & she said we could bring his ashes home next Wednesday which of course is today! The small Mahogany box and the words in the underside of box that contained his ashes was very sweet! We appreciate them for the compassion, kindness they showed us!

My sweet baby boy Spyro had to be euthanized and it's been completely heartbreaking. I have been just an absolute mess. Resthaven was incredibly fast at coming to pick him up, cremating him, and bringing him to me. The box is just beautiful and they have written just an incredible note/certification of his cremation which brought me to tears. I highly recommend.

We had Resthaven cremate our sweet Bailey girl who was hit by a car. I will say that I am not very impressed. The man who picked her up from our vehicle certainly expressed himself by making sounds like he was disgusted with the shape she was in, very unprofessional, especially with a family who is already having a hard time losing their loved pet. They also did not provide us with a print of her paw and that honestly broke me even more. We should have asked, but given the circumstances, it didnāt cross my mind at the time. You would think that is just a common thing they would do for people, being asked or not. A paw print is something everyone cherishes to have and that was taken from us. The man took her from the bed of our truck and put her in the bed of his with a bunch of junk in it, then drove her off to wherever. The only positive thing I have to say, is we did get her back the next day. They said theyād call when she was ready and they did not. My husband eventually had to call and she was ready. They put her in the mailbox for us to pick her up. Iām just overall not impressed and likely wonāt ever use them again if needed. My heart is so beyond broken that we didnāt get a print of her paw, everything else can be excusable but that. I just donāt understand why that isnāt a common thing you do for a family who lost a pet.

Resthaven did an amazing job helping me say goodbye to my best cat Bogie. He was my best friend and PTSD support for 16 years. I was extremely cautious as to how I would handle his passing.When you first arrive you can be turned off by the exterior. Which is a little run down, but please don't let that affect you. The hillside cemetery beside the office has plots back to the 1980's which says a lot.They took my little man's body and were professional with his handling. He passed midday on Friday and we dropped him off around 1pm. He was returned to us in a beautiful mahogany urn on Saturday morning. They provided us with a paw print and a lock of his fur. Loosing a four legged kid is very hard, but these guys made the process easier. Highly recommend.

We have used Resthaven several times now for their prompt service and attention to your needs. They treat your pet as they would their own and provide documentation for you. The standard box you get your pet back in is simple, yet elegant. Of course, they have options for fancier urns. I trust them for cremation of my pets.

Resthaven Pet Services is a Godsend. My sweet dog Sampson came to a tragic end, he was hit by a car. We were devastated and the last thing we needed to manage was dealing with his remains. We also did not want our young children to see him like that so we needed considerate and timely care. Resthaven came within 3 hours of my call. Then in less than 24 hours they were ready to deliver his ashes which I could not be at home to accept because I was at work and instead of just leaving them at my vacant house, which they said they did not want to do, they drove them to a secondary location where they could be received in person. The care that we received from Resthaven was over and above and the peace of mind that it gave to me and my grieving family was invaluable. I will use them from here on out and highly recommend them to anyone dealing with the death arrangements of a beloved pet. Sincere thanks to Resthaven and our driver Skip and coordinator Vicki.

I recently lost my cat pickles. I've never cremated a pet before. They made the process easier for me and I dropped off my cat Friday and had the remains by Monday. Losing a pet is never easy but for anyone that is going through what I just went through I would recommend this place. They we're also less expensive than some places I called. The process cost me a little over $100 VS somewhere else wanted $500.

My 12 year old chihuahua had to be put down very suddenly. I was devasted and wanted to bring her for cremation, be present for the process, and leave with her ashes that same day. Most places do not have this option, but Resthaven has a "private cremation" option which was exactly what I wanted. It wasn't much more expensive and definitely worth my peace of mind. They were able to schedule me the very next day. They were very understanding and accommodating, which I truly appreciate. Her remains were put in a small wooden box. I have ordered an urn, but the box was included for free (lots of places charge), and it's a dignified way to bring her home.

Unprofessional and uncaring staff. I was given a list of cremation locations from UT Vet Hospital after having to make the devastating decision to euthanize my pet pot belly pig. I called Resthaven Pet Services to see if they were available and the lady that answered the phone rudely asked me how big she was. When I told her she weighed 150 pounds she told me that they couldn't because it would "cause a grease fire". Here I was less than an hour after putting my beloved pet to sleep, still upset and grieving and she is making an inappropriate comment about my pet and not even seeming to care about her or me. I would never want anyone else to go through what I did and I would never recommend this place to any other piggie parent.

This place was absolutely wonderful. I picked up my cat's remains today and met with Ronnie. I was so moved by his genuine empathy and understanding. I don't ever wish this pain on anyone, having to say goodbye to a fur baby, but this is the place to go if you're looking for any cremation or burial services. Thank you so much.

Upon arrival my sister and I was greeted by Ronnie. We didnt know we were suppose to have a appointment, but he let us come in and helped us anyway. He was very very polite, professional, and showed Empathy. He was in no rush, allowing my sister to say her final good byes to her dog. Even though I havenāt gone to pick my babies up yet Iām still going to give them a 5 star review. I had lost a cat a few months ago and I had to freeze her because I was new to the area and I live in an apartment so what else are you to do until you have the money for cremation? Today my other cat suddenly passed, and I was at at the point where I was finally going to get the other one out of the freezer (yes itās weird I know) but I called and explained what happened they quickly offered to cremate them together to help me a little finically and put them in the same box sense they were mother and daughter. I was so grateful. They have been very genuine and kind, I can only imagine the horror stories and heart breaks they have had to hear through the years. Iām very grateful I called them in a time of need and Iām happy that my girls will be together forever now.

I had to put my Sherman to sleep on Monday at my vets office and I transported him to Resthaven myself afterwards. Ronnie met me at the office and the very first thing he said to me was that he was sorry for my loss which I never heard from my vet or any of the staff. Ronnie showed me that he really cares about what he does and showed much more compassion than my vet which touched my heart. I picked up Shermans ashes on Tuesday and the box he is in is perfect! Second was quoted a price when I first calledā¦ā¦but the price was higher when we got there to pick up our baby. No paw print this time said we had to ask for it. Got one the first time we used them 3 years ago and didnāt ask then so I thought it came with it this time Wrong.it would have meant a lot to me to have it.Probably want use again because of all the confusion.To your response I told you what urn I wanted and you quoted me a price. I lost my Shea on December 1, 2021. I was able to take her to Rest Haven within an hour. They met me and immediately took her. The lady who met me was beyond wonderful to us and seemed to genuinely care. She gave me time to say goodbye before they took her to be cremated. This morning (December 2, 2021) I returned to pick up Shea's remains and was beyond satisfied with the way they handled everything. Courteous, professional, respectful, and caring. I was very hesitant about doing cremation because I had never done it before. I had a lot of friends who told me to take my Sadie here because theyāre amazing. After speaking with the girls in the office and asking a lot of questions, they talked about the whole process and answered all of the questions I had. We just received our Parker Dogs ashes from our Vet. They are in a nice teakwood box which is exactly the kind of things I keep around me. I was shattered after losing my girl of 14 years. She was cremated here and I had her wrapped up in a quilt when I brought in her body. I asked if they would return my quilt that my dog loved when we picked up the ashes. They said they would but when I picked up the ashes I was too distraught and forgot to ask for it. I've called repeatedly and left messages to go pick it up. Once they said we could pick it up and had until a certain time to get it. My husband was literally 1 minute past that time (we live an hour away) and they were gone and couldn't get a hold of them...they knew he was coming!! Since then we've left multiple messages and call very frequently and they won't answer our calls or return our messages. All I want is some closure and my quilt back that my dog Addy loved to sleep in under. To say I'm hurt is a huge understatement as I'm crying typing this out. She passed away on January 7th and here it is almost April and I still can't get my quilt.Update: they finally answered my phone call and I finally got my quilt back after 4 months.

I am very impressed with the compassion given here. It is hard losing your pet but the person who took the information when we dropped my baby off to be cremated was super nice and understanding. Even though she had just found her pet deceased she did not rush me through anything. I felt bad for her because i was trying to get the information out through the tears. We dropped our dog off yesterday and then picked up his remains and paw print this morning. He came in a simple but elegant box. I could not have asked for a more simple process. The cost for what you get is worth every penny!

Euthanized Thomas (our elderly cat) & Resthaven Pet Services was recommended to us for cremation..so on July 13, 2022, I called them on way home from Karns Animal Clinic. Can't remember who I spoke with mainly because I was beyond upset...she was empathetic & walked me thru the process. I paid the fee & she said we could bring his ashes home next Wednesday which of course is today! The small Mahogany box and the words in the underside of box that contained his ashes was very sweet! We appreciate them for the compassion, kindness they showed us!

Resthaven was incredibly fast at coming to pick him up, cremating him, and bringing him to me. We had Resthaven cremate our sweet Bailey girl who was hit by a car. I will say that I am not very impressed. The man who picked her up from our vehicle certainly expressed himself by making sounds like he was disgusted with the shape she was in, very unprofessional, especially with a family who is already having a hard time losing their loved pet. They also did not provide us with a print of her paw and that honestly broke me even more. We should have asked, but given the circumstances, it didnāt cross my mind at the time. You would think that is just a common thing they would do for people, being asked or not. A paw print is something everyone cherishes to have and that was taken from us. The man took her from the bed of our truck and put her in the bed of his with a bunch of junk in it, then drove her off to wherever. The only positive thing I have to say, is we did get her back the next day. They said theyād call when she was ready and they did not. My husband eventually had to call and she was ready. They put her in the mailbox for us to pick her up. Iām just overall not impressed and likely wonāt ever use them again if needed. My heart is so beyond broken that we didnāt get a print of her paw, everything else can be excusable but that. I just donāt understand why that isnāt a common thing you do for a family who lost a pet.

While we did receive the ashes in a timely manner, I was heartbroken to find my cats cremains were inside a ziplock bag (within the wooden urn that was provided - though we have our own custom urn). Iāve lost numerous pets over the years and Iāve never received them back in a āblue and red male purpleā ziplock sealed bag. It really cheapened the already devastating loss. Now Iām searching for a small, plastic urn bag - (most places only sell them in bulk) - so I can transfer the ashes to a less insulting vessel.

Iāve been waiting to hear about my catās remains. I called UT twice over the course of a month and today Iām told that RestHaven has been calling me but that my voicemail is full. They pushed further to say that they document whenever someone is called. I have no missed calls from them. What I do have is a voicemail from my grandmother from yesterday and many others since the day I had to put my cat down. Iām really easy-going but the way I was made to feel like I was the one who dropped the ball is not cool. It didnāt help that there was a screaming baby that prevented the woman I spoke to from giving me her full attention. Wonāt be back. Wonāt recommend.

I had to have my dog PTS on Friday at 4 p.m. and they could/would not wait for me to drop him off. I would've been there no later that 5:15. You can not put a time on death! They told me that I would have to wait until Monday! I have used them numerous times, but after this, never again. APPARANTLY ALL they care about is what time to shut the door! I was extremely cautious as to how I would handle his passing.When you first arrive you can be turned off by the exterior. Which is a little run down, but please don't let that affect you. The hillside cemetery beside the office has plots back to the 1980's which says a lot.They took my little man's body and were professional with his handling. He passed midday on Friday and we dropped him off around 1pm. He was returned to us in a beautiful mahogany urn on Saturday morning. They provided us with a paw print and a lock of his fur. Loosing a four legged kid is very hard, but these guys made the process easier. Highly recommend.

Resthaven Pet Services is a Godsend. My sweet dog Sampson came to a tragic end, he was hit by a car. We were devastated and the last thing we needed to manage was dealing with his remains. We also did not want our young children to see him like that so we needed considerate and timely care. Resthaven came within 3 hours of my call. Then in less than 24 hours they were ready to deliver his ashes which I could not be at home to accept because I was at work and instead of just leaving them at my vacant house, which they said they did not want to do, they drove them to a secondary location where they could be received in person. The care that we received from Resthaven was over and above and the peace of mind that it gave to me and my grieving family was invaluable.
