I am beyond pleased with the service provided by Yeargan Pet Cremations. Yeargan quickly responded to my phone calls and answered all questions I had. This was my first experience with pet loss. They handled my situation with such delicate care and understanding. I was updated through the entire cremation process (from pickup to her being shipped to my home). The cremains arrived within a few days, perfectly packed to ensure they were not damaged through transport. Inside the shipping box were multiple printed poems and prayers about pet loss and a dated certificate of cremation. I highly recommend Yeargan to anyone who may find themselves in this unfortunate situation.

This was the first time I've ever needed to make preparations for my long-time companion of 17 yrs with my 7lb Sophie dog.Grieving is hard enough alone & also having to prepare for "After" our fur babies pass on, so Yeargan's was very kind, sweet and understanding when I had called ahead a few days before of Sophie's send-off (to be reunited with my brothers, relatives, friends, and her fur cousins who've also passed on before her).Heather & her husband were very patient & understanding with my needs in what to expect, what my choices or options I would prefer, and even discussed the whole process that it would take time that Sophie would be cared for individually. At the time I had brought my Sophie girls remains from the vet, I was already emotionally, mentally shot from the experience that I had originally decided not to have the option for a paw print & thought I had mentioned I wanted hair clippings (bc I had already tried to attempt to make a paw imprint before Sophie passed on) So the next day when I was able to clear my mind a little, I had called Heather to double check if I indeed convey that I wanted hair clipping & changed my mind in wanting a paw print mold made for my other family members to remember her by as well. They were very understanding & appreciated that I had called early on before it was Sophie's process began. Thankfully, I was able to communicate with them & ask them any other questions or concerns I had.I felt reassured that my best friend of 17 years would be cared for as their own family member. I humbly appreciate all they had done to help ease my mind & aching heart during this process. Heather even explained that she & her husband had taken over for her mother-in-law, who has Dementia in her old age & could no longer run it on her own; even though she was the one who originally had started this family business to help others in their time of sorrow & care for our pets & family members alike.Thank you for the lovely wooden carved box my Sophie can rest in close to us at our home. Thank you for all your help, Yeargan's. I recommend them for all my family & friends who will inevitably have to come across their own path when their fur babies pass on.

Yeargan was fantastic when we needed a trustworthy and reliable cremation service for our dog. They provided excellent communication, did the job quickly, transported the remains to and from the veterinary clinic, and provided a nice box with comforting reading materials at a time when we were struggling. I highly recommend their service!

These folks are so very kind and courteous, I have always had a positive experience with them. I have chickens and they can be delicate and pass suddenly for various reasons, which is just part of life with them but it still hurts because I love them like my cats and dogs. Yeargen has always been kind and never thought it was weird or anything that it wasn't a cat or dog. They always treat me and my deceased pets with respect and go above and beyond with their care and courtesy. Their services are done quickly and professionally and their prices are reasonable, and I shopped around before choosing Yeargan. They also have many options for keepsakes and memorials and they have gone the extra mile for me without me even having to ask. This is so important since losing pets can be so devastating and they really know how to be kind to people who are grieving. I'm very glad to have found them and will continue to use their services any time I need them. Thank you all

Being a first time rainbow bridge parent it was really difficult and successful. Yeargan eased those nerves of having to cremate my cat. They were not only professional they were personal. They met all my needs in such a sad time of my life. They picked out a beautiful box for him, and got him back to me within days! They were supportive and just down to earth to talk to. Thank y'all for doing what y'all do and not costing us parents a ton of money either. Y'all were wonderful to work with.

Good businesses correct their mistakes, bad businesses double down.My wife and I had the unfortune to need a pet cremation service. During this time, I told our dogs PCP I was to be the contact for all of the logistics. They said they would make note. This Monday, my wife received a phone call from this crematorium requesting payment. This was the first contact from Yeargans to us. This was a traumatizing conversation to my wife, and against the requests of our family. I was angry, and called the PCP and told them to correct the contact issue, I was the one to deal with this as it was overwhelming to my wife. They fixed it.I then called Yeargan and told them the same thing, any "business" contact needed to be directed to me. They acknowledged. The next day, my wife received a call from the courier, to let her know the ashes were dropped off. Again, that's overwhelming language, to a phone number this person shouldn't have called, after the mistake in primary contact had supposedly been fixed.I called Yeargans, spoke to them very unprofessionally about how angry I was that they couldn't call the proper contact and twice triggered my wife during this time of overwhelming grief. I was told a form was already filled out with contact information.I am unclear how overwhelmingly bureaucratic this business is, to where they are unable to get a change of contact to a courier, but because of this inefficiency an already upsetting experience was made worse. This second conversation with Yeargan Pet Cremation Services ended with them unempathetically stating "the form was already filled out" for contact info, even after I called to correct the mistake. I sarcastically thanked them, and they sarcastically told me I'm Welcome. Our (fingers crossed) dogs remains were delivered where they were supposed to, when they were supposed to.I do NOT recommend this service, and if the owner responds to this review, that will be the last interaction I have with this business, but not about this business.

Heather, was so caring and understanding when I was talking with her. She lowed me to come inside after losing my beloved little 20 years old Chihuahua that was like a Son to me. I was allowed to hold him and grief before I actually handed him over. She went over everything with me. And showed me the beautiful little box that his ashes would be placed inside to getting his paw print made. I highly recommend Yeargan Pet Cremation Services. They are very clean and I felt good about the choice I made . Thank you Heather for your caring heart.

Yeargan Pet Cremations was so compassionate and caring. My beloved Dwarf Lionhead bunny Ebbie passed away and they took the upmost care for her. They made me feel like part of their family. I highly recommend if you want to be treated with compassion and kindness. I felt very comfortable that they would take care of Ebbie and they exceeded my expectation. Family owned business. Thank you for all you done to care for myself and Ebbie.

The Yeargens are kind and generous neighbors who went above and beyond to help our family when we lost our beloved pet on a day when they were also dealing with a challenging situation.

This was the first time I’ve ever had to call about a pet cremation. My cat passed away in the middle of the night and I emailed right away. I was greeted with the most caring person (Heather) and made me feel a little better about leaving my cat to be cremated. Even cremated him with his favorite blanket. Very quick! I received his ashes the next day. As this was so hard and emotional and still is I would recommend this place to anyone. Very caring and sweet!

The employees couldn’t be more kind and respectful of our grief over the sudden loss of our beloved pet. The facility is immaculate inside and out. Making an appointment insures that their focus is on you, and uninterrupted by someone else’s grief. I would highly recommend using their services.

Losing a loved one is never easy . My best friend Kiba of almost 16 years passed away early in the morning at home .I did not expect this to happen so suddenly and due to the snow & ice the cremation center his veterinarians uses was closed until that following Monday .So I did a little research and called this place up hoping they’d be open! They were! Heather answered and was very professional and kept the questions short & simple which was very appreciated .When you’re grieving & in shock/distress the last thing you want to do is lose it & get emotional about details. So I was very pleased to get through the process as painlessly as possible. She treated Kiba’s body with respect & I was able to say goodbye to him one last time .

Where to begin. The service was fine, the price was okay. $100 is their cheapest cremation and so a 2lb rabbit they made out good. I called the morning after my wife had her rabbit put down. The lady who answered was rude and snippy and began barking prices and pick up fees and credit card fees. I told her I would pick him up and bring him to avoid the absurd $50 pick up fee. She stressed that we NEED an appointment for the service. She said she had a 2, 2:30, 3pm, 3:30. I took the 3pm. I left for the appointment early due to maps showing a bad back up in traffic. I arrived at the vet and retrieved the little guy. I drove over and arrived 30 mins early to a completely empty parking lot. I park and head inside to which my greeting was if I had an appointment and the same rude lady barking about how I was early. She was busy watching the news and the only one in the building. She told me to write my info down on a card and I paid the $100 in cash. She stated he wouldn't be ready till Monday since they are closed on the weekends and he would do the service later that day. She also stated I would get my receipt Monday. Her attitude had improved some by this point. So I left and my wife returned Monday to get him. She said that she was berated for NOT having an appointment to pick him up and they didn't even know if he was cremated yet. She barked that she said she would call when he was done. They then bring him out and try and charge my wife again for the service. And the info on the paperwork was not what I had written on their card. It was for someone else. They had to go dig and find proof I had already paid.If you use this place make sure she gives you a receipt right then. Don't go here if you expect any level of decency or sympathy for your loss. They are 80% all business and for all that you can do. Make sure you give the grump up front an appointment time for anything you do and make sure to only show up on those specific moments. DO NOTNBE LATE OR EARLY YOU WILL INTERRUPT THE TV SHOW!I would not ever use this place again, and would not recommend them. I'd say the local vets only use them because they get probably some sort of bulk rate for mass cremation.Only reason reason I left 2 stars is I was able to bring him that day. And the little wood box he came home in was really nice.

These people are so wonderful. Our sweet Great Dane, Daisy didn't want us to have to make a choice and decided to go home on her own. On a Tuesday night around 7:30 after my son and I had took our last nap by her side, she took her last breathe. Now left with the decision on how we could honor her, she was too beautiful to bury. I immediately got on the phone and reached out to this sweet family. Shawn drove 40 min to get my sweet girl and prepare her for cremation. They talked me through what would happen and they had her ready the next day. When I arrived everything was perfect. This sweet family went out of their way and was so kind. I really appreciate people like this. They will never know how much they blessed me that night. I would highly recommend this sweet family.

We were treated with such kindness and respect. Our beloved Great Dane, Maddy, passed away at 9.8 years old. Thank you for what you did for our family.

I lost my best friend/dog after 17 years and sought cremation so we would continue to be together. Called office on a Sunday and shocked Mrs. Yeargan answered and was very sympathetic. Met Monday to begin process & picked him up in a few days in a nice box & papers. In this tough time could not have dealt with a more caring person.

We were very pleased with Yeargan. They treated us and our deceased furry family member with respect and dignity. They truly seem to understand the delicate nature of this sort of thing and do their job well.Furthermore, we appreciated that they did not charge us until we were presented with our animal after the fact, so as to ensure we were happy with the service.Their standard boxes are also very aesthetically pleasing, but simple and not at all gaudy or overdone. Our family highly recommends them.
Glenda Brown
Our vet recommended Yeargan. Carolyn was kind and professional from the first moment of the first phone call. Our Cosmo was returned to us in a lovely walnut box along with a dated certificate of cremation. I had a paw print made for our daughter at am extra fee. I appreciate the kindness I was shown.

I had to put my, almost, seventeen year old cat to sleep on very short notice. Like she has a mass on her liver and another one close to that one. I had never heard of Yeargan Pet Cremation Services before, but this was the facility that my vet assistant suggested. My poor deceased baby was picked up and cremated the next day. So, good on them for speedy service. However, I was never told that there was a $50 pickup fee. I called on Saturday to see if I could come and get my pets ashes. The lady, Carolyn, was a bit snippy. I told her that I saw online that they were open on Saturday until noon. She said that was not correct. Anyway, I went early Monday to get the ashes. I'll just say this: this is a very "no frills" operation. You just get your ashes back in a nice little wood box, and two Xerox copies of poems / stories. Rainbow Bridge and something else. No nicely packaged shaved fur from your baby. No nice clay paw print of your baby. And not even a bag to put your little ash box in or the two sheets of paper in. On top of the $50 fee for pickup, if you make the mistake of using your credit card, you will be charged a fee for that. It amounted to $5.99, or four percent of the $150.00 charged. I will not use this place again. In the future, I will drive my poor deceased baby to Faithful Friend Pet Crematory in Cleveland, TN. You get a lot more value there for your dollar.

My cat passed away in the middle of the night on a Monday. After checking out the website, we did not realize that we needed an appointment to drop him off at Yeargan’s that same morning. However they took him in for us with no issues. When picking up his remains, they were very kind and shared their condolences. Still being overwhelmed with his passing, we did not realize that we were not given back correct change. However they rushed right out to give us the change back while we set in the parking lot. The cremation box is very beautiful as well.

Was referred to call here today after my sweet baby passed away this morning. The lady that answered the phone was very rude and snappy. She didn't seem interested or sympathetic in the least. I did not feel comfortable leaving my angel in the hands of someone with this attitude. Fortunately, I got ahold of the sweetest people at Faithful Friends in Cleveland and they are very professional and accommodating. The cost of services at Faithful Friends is about half of Yeargan, plus you get triple the respect and sympathy. If you are seeking a professional, caring staff, call Faithful Friends. It's worth the hour drive to know my precious baby was getting the best afterlife care.
Michelle Burdell
I just want to say that they are the sweetest people! I lost my sweet boy Toby (cat) to kidney failure, this is my first loss and it was devastating! Carolyn and I spoke on the phone for quite a while and she was so kind and I appreciate that very much! Nobody wants to lose a beloved fur baby but when the time comes I will most certainly be using their services again! Another thing, they are very affordable also which tells me they really do care.

I would highly recommend their services. I was still so emotional after losing my precious fur baby of 16 years when I called to see if they could come pick her up from the UT vet and the lady that answered the phone was extremely caring and compassionate. They took care of everything for me and when I came to pick up the ashes she sat and talked to me and was so patient as I was still crying at times. I was given a beautiful box to keep her in.

This will be lengthy, but the read is needed to know all of how I was treated. I had to put my poodle down on Monday 2/8/2021. This was the 4th dog in the last couple of years that I've had to put down that I had cremated. The other 3 I had to pay for the cremation before I left the vet. There was a little blame on the vet, but more so on Yeargan. When leaving the vet I was told by my vet that they mostly used Yeargan, but also had another service they used and told me I could chose whomever I wanted for the service. I was never asked for a payment of any kind. On Tuesday I contacted the vet to let them know I was researching who I wanted to use for the service and they advised me that Yeagan's had already picked up that day and I would have to contact them. I was kind of surprised by this, but figured they would be fine. I called Yeargan's right after speaking with my vet and spoke toCaroline. I inquired about the price (which my vet had quoted $150) and was just trying to clarify the cost and when he would be ready. Caroline quickly told me she was in her car and not at her computer and ALL she could tell me was it was $100 cremation fee and $50 pick up fee from the vet. I told her that was fine. On Saturday 2/13/2021 I hadn't heard anything about my baby's ashes being ready. I first called the vet to get info and they referred me to the Yeargan's. I called Yeargan's and got Caroline AGAIN and without hesitation she said "Oh yes we have Winston ready and you can come and pick him up." Yeargan's is about 30 miles from me, and my vet is about 3 miles. I said to Caroline " I thought I was supposed to pick up from my vet?" Without hesitation she said "Well yes, but you have to pay for that first." I said "That's fine I've not been told who, who or when to pay." Shesaid she could take my card information over the phone. I gave her that information and was a little troubled by the fact that NO ONE had contacted me about him being ready or about how to pay. I called my vet back to complain and after speaking with Amanda she informed me that my baby was still there at the vet. She called Caroline and basically went off on her and asked "who's ashes were you going to give him if he had come to get him?' I also called the Yeargan's back and spoke to Caroline again and she point blank said "I'm sorry Mr. Scarbrough. I lied to you." At this point I was so upset that I shared my story with several friends and was not able to give a review, but a friend of mine posted a review on their Facebook page to which the owner responded and said "Caroline thought you were talking about another "Winston" that we had and she wasn't at her computer and didn't know. To that comment I couldn't help but reply "the chances of you having 2 Winston's there at the same time are not very likely, but she didn't hesitate the second time or third time I called to tellme he was ready or to admit that she lied to me. The first time I called she didn't hesitate to tell me that she wasn't at her computer and couldn't answer any questions except about cost. She was able to tell me in the second call that I hadn't paid yet, and took my card info over the phone, so it's obvious that she was. Our comments and review was removed from their Facebook page and we can no longer put anything on their page. I did tell them that I hope IF there was indeed another pet owner of a dog named Winston that they would see the post and know that their ashes were about to be given to me. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Much to my further hurt I chose to pick my baby up from the vet and take him to a place of MY choice and WATCH the ENTIRE process to ensure that I did in fact have my baby's ashes. That was WAY more than I wanted to do.

I lost my dog Romeo an Italian Mastiff who was 9yrs old last night and the sweet lady that answered the phone made me feel at ease. She had an angelic voice like I was speaking with my grandmother. She quickly got on the phone and made arrangements for him to be picked up’d. It’s hard losing a fur baby who is family. But I know he’s in heaven with my father now smiling down on us. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do! 🙏 definitely recommend these folks!

We have had to use Yeargen twice in the past two months, our two pugs passed away two months apart and it's been very difficult for us. We felt lost after the first one passed away suddenly because she was our first dog and died at 14 years old. Carolyn Yeargen is the one who answers the phone, she and her son run the business in Lenoir City. We opted for individual cremation and decided to bring our dogs to the office in their home (although they do offer pick up). It was a beautiful drive from Knoxville to their amazing property on the lake, I think it helped provide some closure to take the trip and know where our pets went. Both times things went well, both times about 2 days before we could come back and pick up the cremains. They sell urns in the office (we opted to wait and purchase our own eventually) but also have things like a custom clay footprint available. My only complaint is that I was so very disappointed to learn about the clay footprint only after our first had been cremated - she said I would have had to request it - as if I knew what other services they offered when she didn't show us or have one on display! My advice is to take a footprint of your pet before you take them in to be cremated - we knew better when the second one passed and made paw prints on our own. Carolyn also has a unique personality as you can see from the negative reviews for people who were turned off by their initial conversation - but she really has been great. She was very sweet with our dogs when we dropped them off, she was comforting and shared many personal stories about the animals she has loved and lost in her life - she truly is an animal lover. I really feel like they treated our dogs with a great deal of respect and we were very glad to work with Yeargen, but sincerely hope we don't have to come visit again for a very long time.

Very friendly, and communicated very well, the box was beautiful, the only thing was it was impersonal, I wish they could have put and engravement on the box with his name, then it would have been 💯

These people are amazing! In the recent past few years we've lost two of our boxers. The last one being just last week. Yeargan's Pet Cremation Services handled the pick up of our dogs quickly and when I arrived to pick up my babies at their wonderful facility I was greeted with a warm hug. Thank you, Yeargan's for making an emotional time so much easier to handle.

We've had and lost many animal in 30+ years, both our own and fosters. These folks have always treated each one like it was the only pet in the world. We will continue coming back here until our last furbaby breaths its last breath.

Our Vet recommended this company and I had a horrible experience. I had my pet for 16 1/2 years and was expecting this company to be more passionate, caring or sensitive with this situation. The lady I spoke with was very rude and abrasive. She had no compassion and wasn't accommodating to making an appointment for myself to come in and pick out an urn for my baby boy. I will never do business with this company again.

Yeargan's cremated my sweet Roxie a year ago. Sean and Carolyn are amazing. Their service is very professional and caring. Sean has gone above and beyond for me picking up my girl since we had her euthanized at home.

I just recently lost my Bella, a 14+ old chihuahua. They were fantastic! I contacted them 15 months before because my Bella was acting weird & I thought it might be her time to go. I recommend this place to all pet lovers.

May 11 2022 was one of the hardest days for us to face. They were so helpful compassionate and understanding. It took 24 hours for us to get our Gunner back and the box they put him in is beautiful. We will use them again. Thank you. Carrie and Gerald Wright.

Our dog was mistakenly sent to Yeargan's by the vet, after we had arranged to have him picked up by Resthaven. When we realized that the mistake the vet had made we called Yeargan's. The lady was EXTREMELY rude and just kept snipping that it wasn't their fault. We told her that we were not saying that it was their fault we just were trying to figure out what was going on and if they could take him back to the vet so that Resthaven could pick him up. She said that he was already being cremated! How does a company do that with no permission from the owners? As if the loss of a beloved pet and then the actual act of his body being misplaced was not upsetting enough the RUDE and INSENSITIVE and unprofessional treatment that we received was unbelievable. AND as a final blow the cost to cremate at Yeargan's is almost triple the cost of Resthaven! Please see my review for Resthaven as our experience was the polar opposite, they were sensitive and caring. DO NOT USE YEARGAN'S!

Paula McFarland

Sherry Broaddus
We were treated with such kindness and respect. Our beloved Great Dane, Maddy, passed away at 9.8 years old. Thank you for what you did for our family.

I lost my best friend/dog after 17 years and sought cremation so we would continue to be together. Called office on a Sunday and shocked Mrs. Yeargan answered and was very sympathetic. Met Monday to begin process & picked him up in a few days in a nice box & papers. In this tough time could not have dealt with a more caring person.
Cassie Kiestler
Tom Puckett
We lost our dog last week and used these folks for cremation. They were accommodating, friendly, professional and kind. The facilities were spotless. I would definitely use them and recommend them for anyone needing cremation services.

Ms. Yeargan was very polite, compassionate, and professional about our beloved pet that we lost. She clearly explained our options and what to expect and completed our requests in a timely manner.

My issue is that they put our fur-babies names in quotes, as if they’re just humoring us. As if saying that’s not REALLY their name, but we’ll humor you with it. No, that’s their name, you didn’t put my name in quotes on any of the paper work, didn’t even put his last name in quotes. So, why was his name not worthy of not being in quotes? I found this extremely triggering for my anxiety, and the grief I was feeling as it seemed like to them his name wasn’t his name, that he was just a “dog”. It’s kind of disrespectful, so I threw all that paperwork away because it enraged me every time I looked at it to see his name in quotes. He’s worth more than those quotes, I really would appreciate it if places would stop doing that. It’s rather insulting to pet parents, especially when they’re already having a rough enough day by picking up their baby’s ashes. Please stop doing that, it really irks a lot of people. More than anyone knows.
Debby Brown
Can not recommend this wonderful place enough. They were so helpful, caring and prompt. They showed so much compassion and love for us. Thank you so much Yeargan Creamations.
Travis York
The lady is really nice but they wait over 3 weeks to cash my wife’s check and it bounced. The son call and threaten my wife that was making a police report after my wife told his mother she would send the cash. Then he sent my wife a picture of him sitting in the police department while she was at work. Maybe the mother needs to get a handle on her son!

I unexpectedly lost our beloved pet, recently. Yeargan's made this tragic process bearable. Excellent service and extremely friendly and professional staff!

H M
