Highly recommend these guys for your cremation needs. Ed was the kindest and sweetest man. He was very understanding and sympathetic during a very difficult time. I knew my sweet girl was in good hands from the moment we spoke on the phone. Due to work schedules, the vet had to come later in the day for us and Ed didn’t hesitate to offer to come later to pick her up. They have an amazing set up making it easy to transport your baby without tossing them around and the trailer is fully enclosed so there is no opportunity for anyone to know what’s inside. I’m truly grateful to these guys for what they do. They picked her up on a Friday and she was returned less than a week later. I’m so impressed with them. My girl is back home. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

It's taken me a very long to write this as grieving your best friend is one of the most difficult things to do on the planet. R. Haitian Legacy, aka "Olaf" was a kind gentle soul. He has been in more magazines than most super models for the work he has done in the community and for his showmanship. Olaf was an 18 year old American Saddlebred who stood approx. 16.2 hands. He has won numerous awards for his community service and participated for a few years in the academy show circuit. After Olaf retired from showing, he found a new purpose as the Middle Tennessee Make-A-Wish Foundation Unicorn. This was the job he loved the most. He had the biggest personality and cantered like a dream. Some even referred to him as the big "fluffy cloud." Some of his accolades are as follows:-Featured in Franklin Magazine-Lesson Horse of the year 2 years running before retirement-Featured in Diagonals Magazine-Featured on the news multiple times for community serviceHe was even given a nod from Breyer. In the end, his legs just gave out and he was in a great deal of pain... pain that I couldn't mitigate, pain that would no longer allow him to be a horse. In that final moment, Tennessee Horse Cremation was there for us. He handled our situation very delicately and was sincere in his care/ approach with my boy after he passed. Edward personally delivered Olaf to my home once his remains were prepared. I highly recommend his service if you are ever in this situation. Here are some pictures of my beautiful best friend.

I had to put my horse “Not Willie” down due to an infection in his coffin bone & it just got worse even staying at the equine hospital with medication 3xs a day. Edward was very easy to work with & took the best care of him after his passing. My husband & I were very emotional & pleased with him/his services. We got the tack box urn & nameplate. It was so very special for us to have him home with us. We will using him again in the future. Thank you Edward.

When you have a horse for over 20 years, he becomes so much more than a treasured companion and loyal friend. He is part of your family. Hershey was a sweet 16 birthday gift and lifetime dream horse to my daughter. Many years later he developed the same relationship of love and trust with her daughter. At age 29 the years began to take their toll on our sweet boy. We had to make one of the most difficult decisions ever and let him go. When I called Edward, heartbroken, he was very patient and compassionate with me. He coordinated everything with our Vet and treated Hershey with the level of care and respect that he so earned with this family over the years. I am extremely grateful to Edward for making a very difficult situation easier for us. His professionalism and sincere sympathy were above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend Tennessee Horse Cremation LLC to all horse owners.

all in all this beautiful business and the great man, Edward, that runs it deserves more than 5 star. on top of absolutely amazing consumer service him and his team were both kind, considerate, gentle and so so respectful when moving my boy onto their trailer not only to him but to me as well. on my first call even through my tears Edward explained their very careful and caring process step by step, upon my second call once i officially knew i’d need his services i was informed they’d be heading my way immediately even on such short notice and they indeed were on their way from the moment our call ended. we laid my beautiful boy to rest just as the clouds cleared and the sun came out to give him the grand entrance he deserved and we were granted just enough time to lay with him to tell our favorite stories before they arrived and began their process step by step the way i was informed previously. while no one wishes to see their loved family member lifted and hauled away this team was so gentle with him and so kind towards me as they got him loaded up. the equipment he has to make their process as easy as possible was quite incredible as well, i was able to see how much thought Edward had put into making everything as smooth as possible for all parties involved and it was very considerate. i’m so thankful for their services and i couldn’t have asked for anything less than them in my first experience loosing a horse, thank you Edward.

I lost my 30-year-old Morgan Natty unexpectedly due to a colic a couple weeks ago. I was so worried about how I was going to get him home from the Tennessee Equine Hospital afterwards and Edward called and put my mind to rest. He explained the process, which was so respectful and considerate. Losing a beloved animal is heartbreaking and then it was there to make that process easier.

Very happy with Edward and the service he provided. He made what was a terrible day a lot easier. We called him only hours before we needed him to arrive, and he was able to provide a same day pickup, work to our schedule and arrive on the dot. He was always reachable by phone, very professional and treated our horse with respect. You can tell he is very caring of not only your horse, but also of your feelings. He explained everything. He also returned the remains very promptly, and all during Christmas season. It’s so nice knowing I have my horse with me and don’t have to leave her behind when I move. I wish this service had been available for all my horses. Thank you Edward!

I can’t thank Edward enough for his compassionate, prompt, caring service for my horse. My boy took a quick turn on Monday afternoon, was euth’d with a couple hours, and Edward picked him late the same day. Through this very unbearably sad time in my life after losing my beloved beautiful companion, Chester, a Tennessee Walker who taught me so much about riding, Edward’s empathy, kindness, and understanding has helped me a lot. My Chester was taken care of in a respectful manner after his life sadly ended. I wish I would have known about Edward after losing my other horse. Thank you Edward for giving the utmost care and respect that my Chester well deserved at the end of his life and for the beautiful urn he is laid to rest in.

I cannot begin to say enough good things about Edward and Tennessee Horse Cremation. My 25 yo beloved horse, Miss Kitty, (American Warmblood Dutch x Thoroughbred) needed to be euthanized last Saturday after an emergency that morning. From the moment I called Edward to the pickup later that day in Georgia to receiving her shipped ashes this afternoon, every phase of this process has been clearly communicated and handled with compassion and dignity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are so much appreciated.

Under the worst possible weather conditions every horse owners nightmare came true. Although I could see that my partner of 22 years was showing his age I never expected his story to end in the way it did. From my first contact with Edward through the whole ordeal he was very compassionate and understanding. He asked questions about my horse and referred to him by his name. He knew that he was more than "the horse". This was not my first experience handling the end of life but with the service Edward provides I feel that Munny received the respect he deserved. And for that I am grateful.

My horse, Bauss, was 28. Monday morning he just couldn’t get up anymore. I was a wreck and didn’t know what to do, because I live on a rental property and didn’t want to bury him here. A friend told me about TN Horse Cremation, she saw from a post on facebook. When I called, Edward was extremely professional and kind. He explained his whole process to me and his pricing, and told me to let me know when the vet came out so he could be there at the same time. The vet ended up coming out a bit earlier but Edward and his daughter showed up right on time, gently wrapping my boy up and lifting him into their secure trailer. I loved that he did not have to get dragged onto it. Within 2 days my boy was back to me, and the first thing Edward asked me was, “are you doing okay?” Stand up guy, and a wonderful service for such a sad day in my life. Thank you! Highly Recommend!!

Ed and Steve were very professional in helping us during that difficult time when one has to “let go” of their equine companion. They coordinated their arrival with the veterinarian, making the process less stressful for everyone. This was the second time we have used their service. If we need to again, we will certainly contact them!

I cannot thank Edward enough for his understanding, empathy, compassion, and caring way during a very difficult time. Our horse, Tommy, was an extension of our family and Tennessee Horse Cremation provided us with peace of mind from start to finish. Their caring services included the removal and transportation of Tommy in the most respectable manner possible. Now we have our majestic friend back in the most beautiful urn to honor his spirit and his special bond. Thank you Edward!

I can’t thank Edward and Ivan enough for their help during this really trying time. I had my mare for 23 years; she was a member of the family. They treated her with the respect that she deserved which meant the world to me. It was not only their approach and attitude, but the equipment they had to make everything so much easier.I would highly recommend using Tennessee Horse Cremation services when you are in need.

A week ago yesterday,we lost my mom's 35 year old QH mare Pepper. She was such a spunky girl with so much personality and her loss came with so much heartbreak. We knew we wanted to go the cremation route as that's what we usually do. I called Tn Horse Creamation LLC and asked a few questions and a couple of hours later, they came to pick her up. Edward and his crew made the whole process easy during such a hard time. His compassion and heart was apparent in the way he expressed his condolences but even more so when he made known his concern for Hope,Pepper's loyal companion. He even asked about her when he brought Pepper home and in the card he sent. Ten out of ten would recommend to anyone.

I am so grateful to have found Edward and Tennessee Horse Cremation. My sweet boy Mr.C passed away unexpectedly from a rare fungal infection in his coffin bone. He was such a huge part of my life and had my heart completely. We wanted this final phase of his life to be dignified. Edward was so kind, he wanted to know about my boy and our story and assured me it was his whole body, un-manipulated, that would be cremated. This was very important to me. He drove 4 hours to pick him up from UT Veterinary Hospital texted me when he had him and again when everything was complete. I felt at peace knowing he was being cared for by Edward. Edward's sweet wife Julie met me half way to hand deliver my boy back to me, in the beautiful tack box urn. Edward and Julie have such compassion for the animals and their final phase of life and I truly feel they were a godsend to us. They made such a devastating time a bit easier for my husband and I.

Edward was extremely compassionate and kind! He was understanding of how difficult it is to lose a best friend. I 10/10 recommend him. He was very timely and made pick up very easy. Even though this is a hard decision to make in a time of need, Edward was very understanding and accommodating! Photo of my sweet boy taken too soon

The decision to put down my ill horse was extremely hard. Edward was compassionate, professional, and willing to come on a short notice. He fully explained their gentle service, costs, and return of remains. Highly recommend. Side note, I did speak to another horse cremation service in the area who wanted payment before services were rendered. You only need to make one call if you ever have the need. Call Edward at Tennessee Horse Cremation. He put me and my horse at ease. I can rest well at night knowing that Edward took care of him.

My daughter-in-law made the hard decision to put her 30-year old horse to sleep. She chose your company for the cremation. I had recently retired from working in an animal shelter for the past 26 years. I am all too familiar with the euthanasia and cremation of small animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc), but had never observed the process with horses. I was intrigued when I was asked if I would be present for this sad event and was thankful I would get to say my farewell to Spartan. I had a good idea how the euthanasia would go, but I did not know exactly what to expect with the process to transport to be cremated. You were kind, compassionate, and made sure everyone involved with Spartan's final ride knew what you were going to do and how. The equipment you used was unexpected and a relief! The whole gentle manner in which you conducted the process made the final send-off bearable. Then today, you delivered the most gorgeous urn that looked like a small tack box with Spartan's name on it! This, too, you explained to us and you showed us how the cremains were placed in the box. Thank you for the service you provide. You, sir, exceeded my expectations!

When our senior horse died so very unexpectedly August 10, Edward Yescott of Tennessee Horse Cremation LLC was the angel who stepped forward to help us through that day we thought would never come. Mr Big Mac Too was 32; we had owned and cared for him daily for the last 29 of those 32 years.I called Tennessee Horse Cremations as soon as we got the news of Mac’s death that morning and told Mr. Yescott I feared we’d have to take the front off the stall at the barn where we boarded Mac. He told me not to worry, that he most likely would be able to remove the horse without taking down walls and that Mac would not touch the ground during the process. He then said he’d get on the road immediately and would be at Mac’s location in four hours. Exactly four hours later, he was driving up the lane to the barn.Edward Yescott is a man of his word. His quiet, calm, compassionate and professional demeanor was a relief in such an emotional situation for us. Everything and everyone was spotless and shining: the truck, the trailer, Mr. Yescott and his assistant. He explained every step quietly; there was no hurry, no rushing around.Once he saw the situation in the stall, they rolled Mac over on his back so that a body-sized sled could be placed under him, and then the sled was pulled through the stall door and down the hall. No walls had to be removed.Outside Mr. Yescott opened a new bag with handles, raised Mac with the trailer’s cradle lift system so he could wrap him in the bag, and then moved Mac from his sled in the driveway to another sled on the floor inside the trailer. Mac never touched the ground as he was arranged for his final ride. Mr. Yescott told us our horse would be cremated immediately as soon as he got home. There was a small group of fellow boarders present during the removal process standing in awe; they later said they never had seen anything so professional, so compassionate, so perfect. I was thankful Mr. Yescott was the one I called for this moment. We ordered the beautiful box with name plate the company offers, and on the day we met to pick it up (We opted to meet him halfway for a pickup rather than have him ship the cremains to us.), again Mr. Yescott and his assistant were so kind, professional, and punctual. They understand and handle their clients’ grief so beautifully…they clearly were an oasis in the midst of our distress. They are wonderful people offering an amazing service.

Six days ago we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let our Triunfo go. It was completely unexpected, and I was beside myself with grief (I still am). I only had the name and number of another service, but they did not answer office or cell numbers. I know now that God was taking care of my heart and my horse. Our vet knew of Edward and his company, and in minutes he was on the phone with me, talking to me as I tried to breathe through tears. He showed up only a few hours later, right on time and having clearly communicated, and proceeded to treat my precious boy with a level of gentleness and care that my heart needed. He communicated clearly and compassionately, and he never rushed us. We heard back from him after the cremation right as he communicated we would. I learned later that the other company has been a nightmare for pet owners and does not treat the animals with care. There is nothing to take away the pain of losing our boy, but I am so very grateful for Edward and all he has done for us. I included a picture because our boy was such a gift. We miss you so much, Triunfo.Thank you, Edward.
Renee Lindy
Compassionate, heartfelt and considerate service. Edward went above and beyond to make a tragic event a little less traumatic. Falcon was only 11, we were not ready to say goodbye. I highly recommend Edward’s service.

Wonderful service during a very hard time. Edward was so very kind and caring throughout the process. Very thankful for his quick help and kindness to both me and our dear boy.
Chelsea Shay
Highly recommend. Compassionate, respectful, they have a lift so there is no watching your horse drug to a trailer. They are treated gently and with as much respect as possible. The price is reasonable as well.

Wilbur passed away today from colic. He was 32 years old, with his birthday the same month as my daughter’s. We had him 15 years and I loved him dearly. Dealing with these issues on a weekend can be hard, but this service was exactly what I needed. They compassionately took care of his body and came quickly when needed. Highly recommend.

I am so very grateful for Edward and his company. I really would have not known what to do otherwise. He was so helpful throughout this process.

Words can not express enough how thankful I am for Edward and his cremation services. My horse Fox was one of a kind and Edward took such great care of him it made me feel SO much better knowing that he was in capable caring hands after he'd gone over the rainbow bridge ♡
Lori Rieselman

Amazing service. They handled our sweet boy, Pecos, with compassion and care. We appreciated how quickly he was able to come out, and highly recommend this service for anyone that has to go through this experience. Thank you so much for your help.

Ed was very kind and patient when scheduling my beloved stallion’s cremation. He arrived for pickup when scheduled and was very professional and efficient. He made the process so much easier and I cannot thank him enough for the incredible service he provided.

I can not speak highly enough about this business. We had my Maximus scheduled to be put down and to be picked up on a Thursday. However, Tuesday he took a turn for the worst. This gentleman came out at 11PM and got my big ole baby so he wouldn't have to be outside overnight. He told me the process would only take a day but 2 weeks for the box because I had a special request of adding his horse shoe on the front. Wouldn't you know, 2 weeks to the day he delivered Maximus back to me. I will be forever grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and timely manner in which they responded.

Wonderful business that helped us when we needed it most. My sister in laws horse passed away unexpectedly and they were able to come first thing in the morning to get him. They arrived early, handled the situation with professionalism, grace, compassion and kind words of support. They gave us all closure and some peace with how respectfully they handled the horse that passed. They returned his ashes in a timely manner and checked in with us to see how we were doing. We thank you for your compassion, support, and timely response.

Tennessee Horse Cremation offers a service that is as dignified as it is invaluable during the most difficult of times. From the moment of first contact, their team handled both myself and my beloved horse with the utmost respect and gentleness. They understood the weight of the loss and made sure that my horse was returned home promptly, which provided a great deal of comfort.Throughout the entire process, their communication was exemplary, ensuring that I was kept informed every step of the way. This transparency helped ease the burden of not knowing and allowed me to trust in their process during a period where trust is hard to come by.Despite the heartbreaking circumstances leading to our interaction, I am grateful for the compassionate and professional experience provided by Tennessee Horse Cremation. It's never easy to say goodbye to such a loved animal, but their service helped honor my horse’s memory in a way that felt very fitting.

We worked with Edward and Tennessee Horse Cremation today, and while it was under very sad circumstances, they were amazing to work with. I’ve shared this very high recommendation with our equine vet and the other boarders in our barn, as well. Edward and his daughter were incredibly empathetic, kind and patient. Edward explained the process, kept exactly to his word, and charged a very fair price, which is hard to come by in any profession these days. What I’ll remember forever is that he gave our sweet old horse dignity at the end of his life, and helped my husband and me through a super tough day.

Ed could not have been better in a trying time. He came very quickly and was extremely considerate of my horse and my feelings. I highly recommend them! Also the ashes are carefully and neatly packaged.

I cannot recommend Edward and the team at Nashville Horse Cremation enough. We unfortunately lost our beloved 40 year old pony Clarence to colic and Edward was so respectful and handled everything as if it was his own pony. He made the entire process so easy and was very compassionate and kind.

Losing an animal is like losing a member of the family. Tennessee Horse Cremation made the process easy and seamless when we lost our pony. Will use them again when we have to say goodbye to another member of our farm.

We have lost many horses, however this was our first experience with cremation. From the initial contact, Ed was graceful, respectful, and responsive. He treated Logan as if he knew him and was one of his own. His specialized trailer was amazing and clearly showed the passion Ed has for this service. If you are faced with this experience, call them. You will be thankful you did. I know Logan appreciated the journey as well.

Unfortunately, we lost our 34 year old little friend Magic to a bad colic that could not be fixed. Edward was very help and professional in every way. He showed up when he said he would and carried out his work as promised--excellent help when we needed him. Thanks, Edward.

When my beloved 23-year-old miniature donkey Cherokee had to be euthanized unexpectedly, I was heartbroken. My vet said he would help with any arrangements I wanted. I chose cremation, and I was told to call Edward Yescott of Tennessee Horse Cremation. He was highly recommended by the vet, and I soon understood why. When I called for an appointment, Edward was compassionate and caring. I instantly felt he did not think Cherokee was just another animal to cremate. He encouraged me to talk about her, and he expressed his condolences. He arrived quickly, and he explained everything he was going to do. He treated Cherokee and me with respect and kindness. He made me feel like it was personal to him to be sure Cherokee was moved with dignity. He never rushed. He patiently listened to me. He understood my pain and offered words of comfort. When he left, I felt I had a friend who would honor the life of Cherokee and how much she meant to me.When he delivered her ashes, he greeted me with “Cherokee is home”. He again showed utmost care and respect as he transferred her ashes to me. I am so grateful the last person to have hands on Cherokee this side of Heaven was Edward Yescott, a man of integrity and compassion.I highly recommend contacting Edward Yescott, Tennessee Horse Cremation, to anyone who is faced with the sad passing of a beloved equine. I am so glad I did.

This is probably the most challenging review I've ever written online because this is the call none of us ever wants to make. Tennessee Horse Cremation made the process less painful. Johnny lived a full life and gave us so much--he taught so many new riders over the years, and we're so happy to have had him. When it was time to say goodbye, it was essential that we did so with the utmost respect. Edward was incredibly caring. The method he used to move Johnny allowed it to happen gently and with dignity. His equipment allowed Johnny to be transported discretely, and he maintained contact with us throughout the process. There are others who will cremate horses, but this is the company that you want to call. They truly do understand your loss, and they'll ensure that from the moment they arrive until the moment that they hand you the remains you will be confident that you gave the best possible goodbye to your equine family member.- Brian and Christy

Dunny was an amazing horse. In the first 12 years of his life he roped cattle in Montana, was a champion barrel racer, did Indian relays and was a pony horse taking racehorses to the starting gate at several racetracks. The track is where I met him. He was so amazing at his job. So calm and no matter how wired up the racehorse was he always kept his cool. Dunny’s owners had left him in the care of someone while they went out of town for three months to work. Thinking they were giving him the summer off from working, they felt he was getting a well deserved vacation. When they ran into trouble with the person taking care of Dunny they asked me to go get him, take him to my farm for a couple of weeks and they would pick him up when they returned. When I arrived to get him I discovered he had been abandoned there by this man for 30 days. Dunny was skin and bones. He knew me from staying with me before and riding in my trailer. When he heard me call for him he came as fast as he still could. I opened the gate and went to put the halter on him to load him in my trailer. He walked right past me, “talking” the whole time as if to say” where have you been and what took you so long!!!” He then walked right on my trailer He was ready to go!!! I cried the whole way back to my farm. I promised him that he would never be hungry or thirsty again as long as I was alive. I kept that promise. I kept him. For 12 more years he had a life of ease!!! He was 1200 pounds within months. My husband would fuss saying Dunny was gonna die of a heart attack. I said that’s fine- he won’t die of starvation. The experience that I had with Edward and his handling of Dunny after his death could not have been any better. Dunny was treated with so much dignity and kindness. They made a very hard situation so much easier. He deserved to go out with the same grace and courage he had lived with. Edward made that happen. Thank you!!!

Edward did a great job of taking care of our horse Chuck. Very professional and compassionate after a tough day. We highly recommend his services. Thank you Edward!

Putting my 13 yo MFT down was one of the hardest things I've ever done. We tired for 3 months after she foundered to save her but couldn't. One foot was beyond repair. She was at the vet clinic when put down and I didn't want to bury her at the barn where I boarded so I decided on cremation. THC couldn't have made this decision any better. Ed was so respectful and compassionate. He kept me informed of the process and was thoughtful every step of the way. Now I have a part of her to spread in Bella's favorite spot where we had many happy rides.I definitely made the right decision for me and Bella.

Edward is so compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. He made it so easy for me to organize everything I needed and know what my options are. 10/10 above and beyond for me in a difficult time.

We had to euthanize a beloved horse--a sad and emotionally charged event for us. Edward was so respectful of our emotions, displayed so much dignity toward our horse when he took it for cremation. And on return, he was so thoughtful. An outstanding service. We have another loved horse that is upwards of 20, when that day comes, Edward will be our choice.

Edward was amazing and took great care of my Penny. As hard as it was to let her go and run free with her siblings that had passed before her, Edward made it a simple process to get her cremated and we had her ashes back in just a few days. He was there shortly after she passed and she was treated with respect and dignity.

Kenneth Lambert

1 month ago yesterday I placed a call to TN Horse Cremation due to the tragic death of my new horse. Ed was able to sort through my distraught details enough to make sense of it, and without delay made immediate plans to pick up my boy in just a few hours. He made the retrieval efficient, and the delivery of my gelding's ashes equally timely. I recommend this service to all equestrians in the surrounding areas wanting to honor their much loved horses in this way. The ashes were packaged so well - we spread them last night across our pastures in fitting tribute 💔...

At one of the worst times in my life, my husband found Edward, and Tennessee Horse Cremation. My 28 year old mare passed away at a hospital, and Edward was there, within hours. I can’t thank this gentleman enough for his kindness and compassion. The hospital veterinarian and staff made a point of telling me how professional Edward was. My mare was returned to me in a beautiful handmade box. I very highly recommend this family business. I don’t know what I would have done had I not found them.

Ed and his family came out to pick up a horse that was euthanized from a severe injury. The whole family is incredibly kind and thoughtful with how they handle the animal and some of the most thoughtful people with their communication and walk you through every step of the way from when they pick a horse up, take care of said horse, and get them back to you. so much love for this family and business and if we ever have another tragedy i will absolutely be using them again !
