We could not have asked for more compassionate people to care for our sweet old girl, Roxy. We have lost pets in the past, & chose cremation. The difference between those experiences, & our experience with Gentle Waters is amazing. The compassion from the moment I called inquiring about the process made a world of a difference for me. The effort made on their part, to make it more convenient for us to meet them for transport to and from their facility.. the urn, the plaque to go on the urn, the paw prints - (FRAMED paw prints!)A little vile of hair clippings.. everything they do, they go above, & beyond. Texts asking about how our kids are coping.. it’s evident that they’re genuinely good people.. exactly what that industry needs. In a moment of heartbreak, & decisions to be made…these are the girls you want by your side to help pull you through. I couldn’t fathom the thought of leaving my baby at the vet in a freezer for however many days, til the cremation company did their pick up. She was never in a bag..she was never in a freezer.. she was loved as one of their own, & treated with such gentleness.. I didn’t have the slightest hesitation about her being in their care. I absolutely will only use Gentle Waters when the need arises from here on out. From the bottom of my heart… thank you April! Thank you for taking such gentle care of my girl. ❤️

The loss of a Family Member is the hardest grief to bear. A Puppy Baby for more than 10 years is like the loss of a Child. Gentle Waters Aquamation, Ms. April and her Team, are Angels Unaware that embraced my Dolcé Augustus with Compassion, Grace, Loving Care and then returned him as Brilliant and Vibrant as my Lil' Guy touched each and everyone he ever came in contact with: truly a Gift that was handled with Excellence!While burial and cremation by fire are options, this process preserved and protected, removed the feelings of uncertainty and unease. My family and I recently lost a true legend in our companion, Buster. April and Sarah were beyond, comforting and professional during this unimaginably difficult time. April was with my family through Buster’s last day from the very beginning to his last moments. This is a truthfully beautiful and respectful process. The name says it perfectly and was exactly how a great dog should be sent home. My mom and step-dad expressed how personally receiving Buster back from them and having that personal time with him was exactly the closure they needed. Thank you both from my entire family . Buster is with us everyday and watches over us and my parent’s home forever. Go dip those paws in Heaven’s water, bud. We will see you soon.

I honestly cannot put into words how special April and her team are! They made this extremely hard process very easy and calming. Losing a fur baby is never easy but April and her team were there throughout and put us at ease. The love and care they showed my baby and I were unmatchable. I cannot express to you just how much gratitude that I have for April and Gentle Waters! The lose of my 19 year old cat was completely devastating to me! April meet me the morning that he passed and even stood and cried with me! April took care of my sweet baby and kept me up to date of everything that was going on with the process. April at Gentle Waters was right there for our family when we learned our dog was very sick. We wanted an option other than cremation. Learning about Aquamation has been very educational and gave our family a peacefulness in this time of grieving. From the moment I called to gather more information, April was 100% available to us. April waited for us the morning we took our precious dog to the vet, gave us space to grieve and was always a moment away. She kept us up to date on the process, checked on us from time to time and delivered not only the urn but a beautiful card and even a framed paw print of our Lucky. I Lost my Baby, Forrest, of 13 Years on August 26th 2020. I contacted Gentle Waters Aquamation and they met me at Catawba Animal Clinic. The Care and Concern for my Baby that was Shown was Beyond Amazing. They are Very Prompt and Courteous. My Baby was Returned to me Just a couple of days later and they had Hand Written a Card with the Package that I received. They were Very Nice sand I feel that they treated me like their Family. I Highly Recommend that you Consider using them if you lose a Pet you Love. They are Very Caring People!!!

An amazing business owned and operated by kind, sweet and accommodating women. We were in an emotional state of mind after losing our fur baby today and April with Gentle Waters was reassuring, comforting and just a down to earth person. This isn't a service you want but it's a service any pet owner will eventually need. And Gentle Waters is who you want to work with. I wanted to find someone to work with where it was more personal. Where I'm not just a number. April really makes it personal. She walks you through the process and keeps you updated on each step. The facility is right there on her property and she's very open about letting you see it. She loves hearing about your pet and, honestly, makes everything a little less sorrowful. I loved both the personal aspect and the transparency.

I had never heard of Aquamation before but I knew I hated the idea of cremation. When our Vet Tech mentioned it as an option and explained it, we decided to go with that for Stelly. Stelly was just a "little bit more" my roommate's cat but our cats were all family to the both of us and I loved her so. I let my roommate make the final decision though and I was glad she chose Gentle Waters. The way that they stayed in touch with her every step of the way, explained everything, and just checked in on her emotional well-being already says a ton. On Friday when we picked up the remains, the beautiful packaging and the care that was taken to make sure everything was "just so" was amazing. Losing a pet isn't something any of us want to have to go through but in most cases... know it will happen. I hope it's a very, very long time, but on that occasion, we will absolutely be calling April and Gentle Waters.

I was so impressed with Gentle Waters Aquamation... They are the benchmark for a place to have your pet cremated. They truly care about what they do and it shows by how they deal with you and your pet that you have lost. I had never gone thru the process of losing a pet I had for many years. I dealt with April and she was so kind, patient, and understanding. She kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. The delivery of my pet's remains was done with class and thoughtfulness. The added benefit to dealing with such a wonderful company is that the process they use is eco-friendly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gentle Waters Aquamation. Last Monday, I had to put my sweet girl Stelly to sleep after the vet found another large mass in her abdomen. She was only 4 years old and was already going through chemotherapy for two other masses previously found. Although it was the best decision for my girl because she clearly was in pain, it was excruciatingly difficult for me. When the vet tech told me about Gentle Waters Aquamation, I really thought it would be the most peaceful and serene way for Stelly's ashes to be preserved.April called me two days later to ask me how I was doing because she had heard from the vet that I was in pretty bad shape. I thought that was incredibly nice of her to ask how I was doing. Not many people would care enough about the owner's well being. She went above and beyond and explained the entire process to me. I knew after that conversation that I did make the right decision regarding Stelly's after care. It was peaceful and to know that she was giving back to the earth made me smile.I will never forget the compassion and kindness I received and that Stelly's remains received as well. Both April and Sarah’s kindness was just what my family and I needed after the loss of our 13 year old pup. They were transparent and able to answer all of our questions about the aquamation process. I felt that my pup was treated with the utmost respect by Gentle Waters and given a gentler goodbye through aquamation rather than normal (fire) cremation.

I spoke with April and she asked me to text back the number I called with details so they could pick up our pet. She asked me to go home and wait and someone would be there shortly. I left work and waited an hour. Called and left a message. After the second hour passed I called and left another message. April returned my call almost immediately and I was informed I had texted the wrong number, the one provided by Google and that I needed to have text a different number with the details. Now they would be unable to help us because I had text the number I was told, it being wrong, and now my distraught wife is having to drive our pet to Charlotte for services because I had to return to work.

It seems strange to say, but this really was a beautiful and peaceful option for one of my darkest days. A random youtube video introduced me to the concept of aquamation and a year later when Boomer was diagnosed with kidney failure I knew I wanted this for his final journey.
