I had a very dear pet cremated using your company. I paid for a clay paw and when I received it, it barely even looked like a paw. My vet refunded me for the clay paw and told me that your company requested I contact you. I called and sent an email, as requested, with the photo of the paw. Instead of a call, I received an email response back which was disappointing. I replied and then I never received an email back. I called to get an update and then I was informed that the initial email and follow up emails were never received and they would have someone call me back. That was at least 2 weeks ago with no further response.I've worked with vets that used your company for cremation for 10 years. I've always been pleased with your services. The customer service response in this case was incredibly disappointing on top of the disappointment of not having her sweet paw print to remember her by. The frustration I've felt at the lack of customer service, especially given you're in the business of pet loss, has led me to make sure I pursue vets in the future that don't use your services.

Requested hair and whiskers. Received none. Was given no choice of container for remains. Recd box that IMO is totally inappropriate for a dog. Remains NOT returned when promised. Will NEVER use again.

Good Shepard handled the cremation of our pet Pogo, with great care and tastefulness. They called when they picked up Pogo from KindCare (who were also wonderful) to ask if there were any special requests, and they called again when the task was done and Pogo was returned to the hospital for pickup. Unfortunately l didn't receive my voicemails for several days so I couldn't respond but that was no fault of their's.Overall I am very pleased with the handling and consideration by Good Shepherd and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for closure after having to put your furry friends down.

Thank you, Good Shepherd of Piedmont for your cremation services for my 10 year dog and companion Itty Bitty. Cremation Number 81806. Your services were coordinated with Craven Creek Veterinary of Powdersville. The presentation was sensitive, understanding and simply heartwarming. Also, her cremains were received quickly which allowed me to move forward with my grieving process.

They were so good to me and my dear Harley Rae who had passed away on July 6th at 9:40pm. I had her cremated by HERSELF because that was how she was. She was a Daddy's girl and passed away in his arms with us at her home. I carry her with me every day with the beautiful heart pendant I got that has a pinch of her ashes in it. We also got a paw print and a beautiful urn. They treated me so wonderful. My husband is tough guy but this broke his heart. But they made things much easier. We have 3 other dogs 1 is older and I pray she has more time. Harley Rae was a chihuahua and only 14 years old. She had a tumor and heart problems. We had the best vet best medication. But it was too soon. I still cry in morning and every night at the time she passed. I pray this gets easier. I will never take her off only to have cleaned professional.

We chose to have our cat, Callie, cremated by Good Shepard. They notified us immediately when they picked her up from the vet office and told us when she would be cremated, in case we wanted anything from her, ie lock of hair or paw prints. I finally picked her ashes up today and was so happy at the presentation of our Callie. They put her ashes in a beautiful carved box with a letter. Very professional. Thank you!

I don't even know where to start. The loss of my little best friend of nearly 16 years was the most difficult loss I have faced. It was like losing my child. Our vet advised us of our options and pet cremation was something he told us about. We decided this was the route we wanted to take. And I am so glad we did. Our sweet Bob (Chiweenie) was returned to us with a keepsake footprint, a beautiful box, a certificate and a bracelet as well as some information. The compassion they have in the whole process truly made this process easier to cope with. I highly suggest Good Shephard for your pet cremation needs.And Ashley, the receptionist, thank you for sharing your story of your sweet pup. It really helped my heart to talk to someone who experienced this kind of loss. You have no idea how much that helped with the grief process.

My sweet dog passed away 2/16/22... Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital... Thru them she was sent to Good Shepherd to be cremated. When I picked up her ashes, it was so precious. Beautiful hand carved wood box urn and her certificate with her date of death and certification that the ashes are indeed my pet's remains. I cried when I picked her up. It took 10 days to get her ashes back but I was informed that it can take that long. I'm very happy and pleased with Good Shepherd. 🐾🐾🐾

My recent first experience with Good Shepherd was amazing!🐾They were caring for my cat Kaisley and professional. My request of wanting just her remains (not mixed) and the 4 paw prints was respected.When I went to my vet to pick up her remains it had all came in a blue good shepherd pet services bag.In the bag it had my baby's nice wooden urn with her ashes inside of it, her 4 paw prints, her death certificate and a kind note from good shepherd, a card that helps guide you with dealing with the loss of your pet and the grief, and a little remembrance bracelet. Thank you so much. It helped me a lot.Knowing that she was cared for even in death...I appreciate everything they did for her.❤️Since I've never gotten a pet cremated I don't really know how the process works.I've heard some let you watch the whole process to insure you of everything.My only worry only due to personal trust issues, is if there actually her remains or not. I really hope so...🐾

If I could give 10 stars I would. Two days ago, I unfortunately had to lay my dog to rest at my vets office, holly tree animal hospital. Our family was completely heartbroken at our loss. I was so excited to receive a phone call today (after only two days) from my vet saying that my dog was ready to come home! I went straight to my vets office, and received a beautiful surprise. My sweet fur baby was so lovingly taken care of. She was cremated with this company and Good Shepherd did an incredible job with her. Her box is beautiful, there was a lovely packet of information to help with our grief included in a beautiful bag with our dogs name printed on the front. I had to call the company right away and tell them thank you. The sad thing is, when my own mother was cremated and her remains were delivered to me, she was placed in a small cheap plastic container. And I told Christine at Good Shepherd that I could not believe that they cared more for my pet than the company that cremated my own mother. I highly recommend trusting this company with your family for baby. 💕

January 2023My Yana, black cat, was cremated by this facility. They took great care of cremating her as if she was their own. The paw print is beautiful but it's not glazed so it's cracking. Delivery of my baby's remains was in a timely manner. They included reading material that was very helpful.Thank you.

After saying goodbye to my 16 year old Jack Russell, I decided to have her cremated and returned to me through the veterinary practice. The next day I received a message from Good Shepherd informing me that they had received her remains and they were going to hold on to them for 24 hours in case I wanted to buy anything extra from them. Now I get that they are a business with a bottom line, but it was a really hard phone call to get 24 hours after losing Zipper and it sort of felt like they were holding her hostage waiting for me to give them more money. It left me feeling angry and more depressed as I thought of her just stuck in their freezer waiting to see if I would shell out more cash. It was impersonal and gross and not the sort of thing that grieving pet parents should be subjexted to.

My mother had a dog cremated at this facility. She requested that when she passed on she wanted the dog's ashes buried with hers. After her memorial service I opened the container-which was tightly glued shut, and it was empty! I contacted the facility and reported this. The owner denied any wrongdoing, and was rude and nasty. He accused that someone must have opened the container. No one would have done this due to my mother's wishes. Furthermore the container was always in my possession, and as I said it was tightly glued shut. My mothet trusted the veterinarian and this facility, and she was charged for a service she nevet received, and no could offer any explanation where her precious Ginger ended up. I read a previous review that stated this facility makes alot of mistakes-although he insisted that nothing like this had ever happened before. I'm not going to let this go. Since the owner refused to take any responsibility I will be taking further actionThere is no rest of the story. Good Sheperd is still refusing to accept responsibility. My mother did not do anything with the cremains because there weren't any. I opened the container to bury the ashes with my mother's and it was empty. Of course my mother did not contact you-because she never opened the container. Common sense. The dog may have been cremated 10 years ago, but the container was not opened until after my mother had passed. That is the whole story

I had to put my boy down September 30th, 2020. This is the first time I have ever had to put a pet down, so didn't know what to expect in return. I have known others who used the same service and had no issues. I on the other hand, was given a Date Of Death certificate that originally was wrong. They did a reprint, but the reprinted card looks rushed, messy and smudged. On top of that, others have gotten a clay paw print of their pet for the same service I requested and payed for and did not receive a clay paw print. Its needless to say this is very upsetting to me and will NOT be using their services again.

This was my first time using Good Shepherd personally, I work at a vet office that uses them regularly. A mistake was made but the way they handled it to make up for it was amazing. Chris went out of his way to apologize, bring flowers, and a card. It was the best way to show that they cared and to make up for what happened. I am very grateful for you guys.

Staff at the location is not very polite and think they know everything. Search for a better let cremation service.. this location makes a lot of mistakes. Please, don't deal with the 2 ladies in the office.. horrible customer service
