This is our second time using them for pet cremation services and the staff is very nice. Last year we had our beloved Bella cremated and today we had our dog buddy cremated. But this time with buddy's ashes we had chosen the funeral home to spread them since it was the right thing to do for our dog after battling cancer. He is now pain free. Thank you all.

I contacted Burroughs Funeral Home and Pet Cremation Services to make arrangements for my sweet dog. I was so relieved when they agreed to my special request. They showed me as much kindness compassion and concern as if I was making arrangements for a human family member. When I made a connection with their special needs house cat "Ashes" I knew I found the best place to cremate my dog "Blue". Thank you for giving me the peace of mind I was seeking. Thank you.

I have started and stopped this review several times due to the tears in my eyes and inability to clearly see to type. Grief is certainly a journey. Our entire family wishes to express the utmost gratitude for the kind, patient, compassionate care provided by Tony, Ashes the emotional support cat, and the entire Burroughs Funeral Home team. There are not enough words to express our gratefulness for the support we received. As a funeral home, every detail was managed in advance. They asked us only questions that required responses. Our mom was handled with dignity. The service was flawless.Thank you.

We have a large immediate family and many people doing different things for our grandfatherโs service and they were wonderful at taking on and solving any problems or questions we had. I did not realize they have a 24 hour answering service and I had a minor question at 9 pm and called to see what their hours were and someone answered and had a representative call me back right away. They are kind and compassionate and even though they were open for other things during our service we never felt intruded upon. Everything was very private and respectful. They made this time of grief much easier to bear.
Paula Casey
My husband passed 6 years ago and it just occurred to me to review. Absolutely a professional, caring, class act! I canโt imagine anyone doing it any better!

The staff at Burroughs made it easy to manage the physical and emotional tasks related to my father's death. When we knew his death was imminent, Ally answered all my questions thoroughly and with patience. Then, Scott helped us through the paperwork, obituary, and cremation arrangements with kindness and care. When we picked up his ashes, Melissa showed us great respect, and their whole team came out to present us with his flag. We truly could not have made it through this difficult time without the genuine care and understanding of this kind and professional team. I hope not to use their services again soon, but when I need to, I know exactly who to call. (Plus, very clean and reverent facility, and friendly in-house support kitty.)
Mitzi Roberts
My pet was handled with care and respect. I had no idea that most veterinarians have their cremation work done at Burroughs. Price was more than reasonable. Thank you!
Kieran Cassillo
Such incredible service for such difficult times. The staff was supremely kind and competent, making everything on our family's end so much easier to manage. From beginning to end, every individual who helped us did so with the utmost sincerity and sensitivity. And they even have an on-site therapy cat who may just be the best staff member of them all!

From the beginning through, and beyond the end of my step-dads service and burial, Tony, Ally and the entire staff of Burroughs were so very kind, knowledgeable, and expertly guided me through every step to ensure the service and burial was exactly what was wanted. It was beautiful. Can't say enough about how very , very pleased the family and guests were .. a super job.. THe best. Thank you Tony, Ally and the entire staff at Burroughs!

The family wants to thank Tony and the staff. Losing a loved one isn't easy and trying to make arrangements long distance makes it harder. However, Tony and the staff helped us every step along the way. We knew we could reach them easily and when we arrived for the Celebration of Life Service, they had everything set up for us. We were able to focus on family knowing that Tony had everything else taken care of.

My husband passed away Dec 2020. Services provided by Burroughs Funeral Home were incredible. So compassionate, so professional. The staff responded quickly to any and all requests my family had. From Mass we had in Dec to final burial in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia I can't say enough about the excellent support. We thank all of you for helping us get through such a trying time seamlessly.
Rhonda Brunette
Our dear 11 year old boxer passed away while we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach. She was a family member to us and we were so distraught as what to do being away from home. We called and spoke with Burroughs and they took great care of us and our Delilah. They were compassionate and caring. Allowed us time to discuss what we wanted. It made this hard time a little easier turning Delilah over to a place where you would take a departed family member. They provided us with a paw and nose print. I just want to say thank you for your kindness and for your care of our sweet girl.

Chris and his entire staff are the most heartwarming and compassionate people that I've witnessed after attending many funerals. When my beloved Dad went home to be with the Lord, Chris and his daughter arrived to his house and with love and compassion removed my Dad, respectfully. It was so touching when Chris placed a rose on my Dad's pillow. The funeral service was beautifully done. They are genuinely an incredible group of people that care about families and loved ones.

Hands down the best experience during the worst time of my life. Ally was an absolute angel in representing my mother and her love of the wizard of oz. She beautifully put together a video montage of my mother's life. I unfortunately have dealt with a lot of death and this facility was the nicest, cleanest and most helpful. I highly recommend!
Kimberly Mahaffy
We lost my father is a tragic way & we weโre still in a great deal of shock when going through this process. We had obituaries printed in several papers where my fathers name was printed incorrectly, not misspelled, the wrong name was printed even though we had sent an edited and corrected copy. Instead of showing compassion and patience during this difficult time Burroughs Funeral home treated us with a great deal of disrespect, including asking my sister how she sleeps at night. The unprofessional behavior was overwhelming when they called my mother and told her they were being bullied because they received a complaint email. You get one chance at honoring your loved one, make sure to choose a business that honors you during this time as well.

On behalf of my family, I would like to recognize the wonderful service we received during the passing of my Brother-in Law in April, 2022. Most caring, sympathetic, professional owners and staff. Unfortunately I've had to use and recommend them to several friends for loved ones and pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else. During stressful times they are amazing to work with.

Our family couldn't have picked a better funeral home to handle our loss. They are very helpful, caring, understanding, loving, and compassionate. They are very knowledgeable about their business. They work with you and help you throughout the entire process, even calling you after hours if you need something changed or created. I loved their professionalism and would highly recommend this family owned business for anyone that has a loss of a family member. Their hands on, family oriented approach was and always will be a blessing to the community. Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Chris Burroughs. The Chong, Johnson, and Kainoa Family's.

Excellent kind service. Very patient, understanding and easy to work with since we can be detailed. The building was also a very calming environment.

Awful funeral home. They are rude and disrespectful. Be aware that their "custom prayer cards" are card stock. They do not allow extra time so they will ask your family and friends to leave. They also start packing up while people are still in line. Look elsewhere, the staff here is extremely unprofessional. They are completely numb. Your loved one and last memories are irreplaceable, don't go somewhere that doesn't value that.
Alan Jones
Tony and his team made an extremely difficult time smooth. They were empathetic, and we did not have to spend precious family and grieving time worrying about anything related to the service. My family will always be thankful for that.
Ad Jordan
I would suggest you go elsewhere unless you have payment and there are no "bumps" in the process. I looked at prior reviews and see that people's animals evidently have gotten better respect than my mother who passed three weeks ago today. I cannot get a phone call or message returned. I took the pro-active approach and wrote my mother's obituary and thought I would e-mail that and a picture to at least get some motion in a respectful manner. To my despair there was a horrid little obituary already posted with no picture. I still don't know if my mother has been cremated or not. To be fair I do have "that" family member that is contrary to everything, but no communication from the funeral home is unacceptable. I have lost a husband and a child and this is absolutely the worst experience with a funeral home I have ever had.

my dear parents passed away at the same time due to an accident. i was not prepared for that. burroughs misspelled my fathers name on the death certificate - as a result, i could not access their funds to pay for expenses immediately due to the error. when i first met w burroughs, it was all MONEY. how will you pay? etc. they attempted to get my parents life insurance assigned to them for the expenses. My head was reeling from losing 2 parents, and they were trying to get access to payment through their life insurance. Had Burroughs not, misspelled my fathers name on the death certificate, I would have been able to pay them immediately, but that error is a huge one in the state of south carolina. So, i had to wait until the state/courts could sort it out. The day I was given the corrected death certificate, then I could petition the court to become executor of the estate & then have access to my parents funds for death expenses etc. This error by Burroughs held up my ability to get a clearance to become executor by 2 months. The day that i was given executor status, i accessed the funds, drove to Burroughs to make the payment. The blonde woman (who clearly has no place dealing w grieving people) informed me that I owed and extra $200 in interest due to the lateness of the payment, which was of course due to the fact that Burroughs did not spell my parents name correctly on the death certificate. Their own mistake cost me even more as they charged me interest. Then, (best part yet people) I learned much later that these horrible people, put a lien on the estate for their services just 2 months after my parents death, which i couldnt pay them for due to their mistake. I had to pay another $500 in attorneys fees to clear that with my documented check written on the same day that I was given status as the executor. Yes, its all documented and dated. Burroughs is very lucky that i have not pursued a lawsuit against their entity. Bottom line - these are not good people; I lost both my parents and this is how I was treated.

This year, 2019, my nephew passed away in January and my mother passed away in September.Burroughs Funeral took care of both of these funerals. My family wants to thank the staff for making these funerals tranquil and gracious.

Brought my cat to get cremated. They told me it would be 5 days and they'd call me when he was ready. I waited 10 days, I figured maybe they were backed up or something. Finally I call because I was getting a little impatient. Turned out they never even wrote my phone number down, even though I had given it to them 3-4 times during my visit.
