As hard as it was to say goodbye to our sweet (and spicy) cat, Legacy made helped us feel more at peace with the process. I dropped him off around 9am and had already gotten a call before noon that I could pick him up-but no rush. As precious reviews mentioned, the compassion cannot be matched. When I went to say goodbye several commented on his handsomeness and a staff member gave him a gently pet too. I can’t explain just how much that meant to me. Highly recommend legacy!

In the past using other local places I never felt at ease. I felt my pet was not getting treated with dignity and it was like dealing with a used car salesman with no compassion.We unfortunately lost 2 babies within a week of each other. We were treated wonderfully along with our babies. It is a “true” private cremation. I cannot recommend them enough.

Legacy Pet Cremation was a wonderful to deal with during this difficult time. They were respectful of Sterling's remains throughout the entire process, providing information regarding the service they offered and going above and beyond with a few special requests we had. Professional and compassionate staff from beginning to end. They were able to meet us after hours to return our boy back to us the very next morning, which was a great comfort having him back home with us. We selected a beautifully engraved rosewood box that was beyond our expectations. Thank you to Mark and the great staff at Legacy! You are providing a wonderful service to all grieving families.

My Beagle that was with us for 9 years got cancer and I did the hardest thing I've ever had to do and put her down. Called your office and spoke with Julie. She was absolutely awesome she could tell I was upset. Walked me through all of the options that were available. We were able to make our decision and your staff handled the rest. To say that I was satisfied isn't enough. Julie was amazing she was very professional and also very sympathetic and very patient. 5 stars to Julie and your entire staff. Thank you so very much. Losing a pet is a difficult time, however Legacy Pats of Charleston made it easier with utmost empathy and professionalism. My dog died at home. I called this business to come get her. Mr Shaun was at my house within 20 minutes and removed my large dog with ease and comfort. Six hours later I had her ashes in a pretty tin. 5 * rating across the board!

As wonderful as the staff was during the process after putting my cat maxwell down, I didn't receive the ink paw prints I had asked for. I was told sometimes they look smudged and don't turn out well. I would have thought maybe a nose print would have been put in its place but that didn't happen. I also received hair clippings, but only a very very small amount and only of his white fur. Mind you he was a tuxedo cat, so primarily black. He also was taken in his blanket and I was not asked if I wanted it back or not, so he was cremated with it. All of these things put together were very disappointing and felt very disrespectful to my animal and myself. I wish more effort and thought would have been put into the process. These things can never be replaced.

They were very professional and caring. Let me go back and watch my pet be prepared for cremation and stay during the process. What a wonderful place! Marcus met us after hours and we were able to carry our 15 yr old pup directly to the cremation area and lay her to rest on a table directly from our arms. Marcus is compassionate about the company he owns. He explained everything to us even though it was late at night. Our baby was cremated completely alone - the only way we wanted it to be. I have told everyone about the fabulous service we received!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would for Legacy Pets. When my sweet fur baby Charlie passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2018 I called two separate pet cremation services to help me with Charlie's final resting. I received a return call almost immediately from Legacy Pet Cremation of Charleston offering to assist me with my needs. The compassion offered was so comforting from the time I first spoke with them, to taking my sweet pup to them and the final step in the process of picking up Charlie's remains. This was a very difficult time for me and I am so thankful for this service offered by these great folks with their compassion and professionalism. It was a relief to know as well, that they do ONLY 100% PRIVATE PET CREMATION. I was appalled to know that some businesses cremate multiple pets at one time and the remains you receive are those of other pets as well. I rest in knowing that I have my Charlie and ONLY my Charlie. I pray God blesses this business and all of their staff. Words cannot express how very much I thank you all for being there during that very difficult time.

Legacy was wonderful to us during such a hard time losing our fur baby. I was able to bring my Bea’s ashes home in 18 hours from when our wonderful vet, Lauren Orvin with Lowcountry Pet Hospice, helped her pass in our home. Legacy was very kind, respectful, and so patient. I highly recommend them.

Families with a beloved pet(s) may need cremation services when the time comes; it’s not something you want to think about until you’re faced with it. When that heartbreaking time comes, you want to be surrounded by compassionate and caring individuals and have every assurance that your beloved pet will be treated with love and respect. Unfortunately two of my pets have passed away in less than a year, it was devestating however Mark and Rick at Pet Legacy of Charleston treated my Sandy and Binky with such care and gave me the peace of mind I needed. Pet Legacy only does private cremations which was imperative to me and they do not charge near what other cremation centers do. I would encourage you to only entrust your fur babies to Pet Legacy of Charleston and to encourage your vet clinic to partner with them.

I have reached out to this place both times I've lost a ferret and they have done such an amazing job. They made sure that each ferret is handled with extra care and I received a certificate, tin with the ashes, and a brass pin that matches the certificate indicating he was done alone. I cannot express how happy I was to have found these guys. They were extremely nice, helpful, professional and overall awesome about everything. Their prices for PRIVATE CREMATION canNOT be beat either. I live way out in Knightsville and it was a 45min drive to get there, but I'm so glad I did. I was very skeptical because for my 30lb dog a private everywhere near me was 500$+. Legacy confirmed over the phone it would be around 160 and explained how it all works. The only catch is the remains must leave in an urn. You provide one or purchase one from them. Even still skeptical, I drove down, honestly expecting a not-so-professional place but I was completely wrong! Beautiful building inside and out and again, wonderful staff. I groom dogs in Summerville at my own shop and I have been telling EVERYONE with an elderly dog that may want cremation about these guys. A 45 min drive plus providing your own urn and saving nearly twice the price for a private cremation with excellent service is more than worth it to me. Thanks again everyone! Miss you Sara! <3

I groom dogs in Summerville at my own shop and I have been telling EVERYONE with an elderly dog that may want cremation about these guys. A 45 min drive plus providing your own urn and saving nearly twice the price for a private cremation with excellent service is more than worth it to me. Thanks again everyone! Miss you Sara! <3

Legacy Pet Cremation is an outstanding place.They were very helpful and compassionate.They seemed very concerned about us.They took complete care of our German Shepard when we had her cremated.I would recommend them to anyone and the prices are reasonable and they are up front with you with no hidden secrets

I thought it was a bit pricey. My last pet that died was a dog about 50 pounds and it cost me $145. This was a little cat and Legacy charged me $180.
