We have used them for my grandpa and now my dad best place to have a funeral and cremation everyone is very friendly, and the building is very clean inside and out we can’t thank them enough for what they did for us

Christine and Philip are amazing human beings. Please consider them for your loved one’s services. They were respectful, kind, polite, empathic. Communication was great, timeliness of everything was spot on. The space for that services is darling. They were ready to meet all of our needs and completed anything asked. During such a difficult time they made our lives easier. They are wonderful people and assisted in making sure everything we wanted was in place to honor my dad. Thank you Christine and Philip; you guys have been wonderful.

The passing recently of our wonderful and beautiful mother was a difficult time for us. It was painful for my brothers and I having to start making the funeral arrangements and not looking forward to starting the process. My aunt volunteered to look into finding a funeral home for us. She came upon The Bensing Funeral Home and called to inquire about the services, speaking with Christine having only good things to say about her. We made an appointment and met with Christine and Philip. We were feeling nervous walking into the funeral home and thinking it was going to be overwhelming. Christine made us feel comfortable right away with her warm, caring and compassionate introduction. She was so kind through the whole process of making the arrangements and patient with us asking a thousand questions. Through the process she did not rush and answered all our questions. Both Christine and Philip were professional, compassionate and caring, making us feel like their family. I highly recommend Bensing Funeral Home to anyone who is looking to give their loved ones a beautiful ceremony and a perfect farewell. Thank you very much Christine and Philip for everything.

I wanted to say thank you to the this place they are Amazing!!! My mom died in November of 2016 and I was going through a lot during that time. I bought a fingerprint necklace with my moms print and forgot about it. It is now 2023 and I was going through her things in storage and realized I never got it and I called and not only did Krystine remember me but she still was holding onto it for me 6-7 years later . Amazing service for something that was extremely difficult time in my life !!

I felt this is not just a business for them, its a genuine concern for helping the family transition into a state of peace of mind, that their loved one had the best of care . We worked with Phil Benson when my dad passed away a few weeks ago. He was incredible. A kind, caring person. He helped with all the planning very quickly without putting any additional stress on myself of my mom. Most people / places put a strong emphasis on money and getting paid. Not Phil. He worked within our budget and never pressured us for payment with everything going on.We really appreciated his kindness and heart in the situation. Thank you Phil and the staff at Benson-Thomas.

They took such good care of our family when my mom passed away 900 miles away from home. Phil and Christine made arrangements to have her transported back to the Poconos in a timely manner, and worked with us as the funeral day had to be changed twice because of the New Year holiday. They also took care of other details like procurring death certificates, etc. Couldn't have asked for a better experience during such a tough time. First class people, who show compassion and a willingness to actually help lessen the burden that came along with our tremendous loss. Thank you Phil, Christine and Keith.

The words compassion, patience, dependable, and kind come to mind when I think of Bensing-Thomas staff and Phil, in particular. A year after my father entered eternal rest, I was able to call and he arranged for a military honor guard with a live bugler to conduct a service at the interment of his ashes. I would have full confidence that your loved one would receive the utmost respect. Highly recommend these wonderful people!!

A friend of ours passed suddenly with unforeseen circumstances. Christine was an absolute Angel in assisting his family and friends. While going through an extreme hardship during the recession, they ensured his family could still have the ceremony that our friend deserved. Being a patron of east Stroudsburg my entire life, I have attended many funerals in the area. The owners of Benaing-Thomas completely overstepped our expectations and we, as well as the family of the departed, are forever grateful for the graciousness we recieved tonight.

I am not sure I can adequately express our gratitude and I promise 5 stars is not enough for the service provided for our loved one. They took care of everything, arranging for a military burial - even with delays due to Covid they persevered for us - and it was all top notch. We were met with kindness and compassion and it was like everything fell into place after we walked through their door. I could not be happier with our choice of Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home.

I lost my only son of 32 yrs old April 23rd due to covid19. It was the most difficult time in my entire 57 yrs My boy is gone, and we so much miss him. I just want to thank you Christine you took care of us and made all the arrangements you showed so much compassion, and love towards our family through this unmanageable time God Bless you.. I was able to see my boy one last time and get closure due to not being able to be at the hospital because of the horrific virus .I can't never thank you and everyone for what you have done .May God Bless you all in what you do its not about money its about compassion and Thats what you showed us 🙏 again we are grateful to you all.💔🙏 Ana Quinn& family.
