I didn't deal with this place directly. But indirectly through an animal hospital after making the difficult decision to euthanize my cat who was 18-20 years old. It's been one of the hardest things I've recently had to go through. I paid a total of $195 for the euthanasia and the cremation. The cremation itself was $125. Vet told me $120 on the phone but when I was there, they said $125. My local spca does a "semi private" cremation for $100. I believe its semi private because of how they separate the spaces with cinder blocks or bricks and do them all at once. And with the flame, its going to blow some around. I'm not sure how this place does it at all. But the two ashes are different colors. Google says thats because of how its actually done. Whatever. I just hope what I have is mine, at least mostly! Would prefer all but you really have no control over it or know for sure since you're not there through the process. Anyways, what I received back, was absolutely beautiful and thoughtful! Kitty came home in a nice wooden urn thats screwed shut on the bottom and even has a gold label to attach with his name on it! Theres a certificate of cremation also. The ashes and the urn are in a nice dark blue velvet bag. All inside a nice blue gift bag. When I picked him up, I noticed someone else with the same bag but a different, nicer, carved out, wooden urn. I didnt get a choice, but both were very nice. It was the last appointment of the day at the animal hospital so that can be why I didn't get a choice. I'm not sure how they do it. The euthanasia at the vet came with a paw print in foam in a small black box that I paid $13 for at the local SPCA. They put a small chunk of his hair in there too. I'm glad I decided to pay the extra $25 than what the spca charges for cremation! Which would have included me bringing Kitty home overnight before taking him to be cremated. That alone makes the extra money worth it.

The people that came to pick up my doggie who had died during the night. They were wonderful could not have been kinder. They carry her to the van and gave up time to say our goodbyes. We received her ashes yesterday and they did a paw print for us which is amazing. Everyone was so nice from phone calls to the end. They did a beautiful job with our girl Lucy!

I am so thankful and appreciative everyone at Abbey Glen. We had major trust issues with the vet that euthanized our dog. There was such miscommunication that I did not feel confident that they sent Abbey Glen the right dog. Kayla was amazing and coordinated for me to come down before he was cremated to ensure they had my guy. They were beyond respectful and helpful. They were able to cremate him that same day and I found a ton of comfort in getting him back home with us after a very long and stressful week of not knowing where he was. The ink prints and clay paw impression came out so nicely and is something I’ll treasure forever. Thank you so much for helping him and us find peace.

I had to make the decision to say goodbye to my furbaby at an emergency vet visit. It was not planned, nor did I have any expectations that would be my last night with my pet. While I am sure this company takes great care in making sure our pets are respectfully cared for, the prices for memory keepsakes are ridiculous. It is clear they are a business more concerned about money than caring for grieving families. All I want is a simple paw print to remember my baby. But, it will cost over $70 for a simple ink paw print on cardstock and mailed to me because I live an hour and a half away. If I could, I would go make the print myself, but unfortunately, that was not and is not an option. I feel like my pet is being held hostage and I have to pay a ransom for a simple paw print. I lost my dog a year ago and the company that performed the cremation services charged nothing near these prices. In fact, I was given a complementory basic paw print. If I had had a choice, I would not have chosen this company. And now any tangible memory of my baby may be lost forever.
