I was messed up -- still am -- over the recent passing of my 29-year-old parrot. But it was a huge help and great relief that Patrick made himself available that sad morning, at the funeral home, to make arrangements for cremation and selecting the perfect urn. -- In a week's time my little feather-butt was ready to be brought home, in the stunning looking urn that Patrick's associate Trista special-ordered for me. -- Anyone who has lost a loved one or a beloved pet knows how therapeutic it is to just sit and talk things over with a sympathetic friend. In this regard Patrick is a real pro! And if you are one who needs to know the status of the preparation along the way, Trista and Patrick keep meticulous records. -- Thank you both for making this rough time a little easier to navigate.

My fiancĂ© passed in the middle of December, 2024. There were no pre-arrangements made and this was my first loss and my first time having to plan a funeral. I was completely lost. I felt like I was walking through a dream. My mind was in a complete fog, I could not think of focus. My daughter and I went into the funeral home and met with the Funeral Director, Patrick Vereb a few days before Chas passed. From that point on, Patrick handled everything for me. When decisions needed to be made, Patrick would reach out to me and give me my options, if I needed guidance and asked for his advice, he shared his experience with me, which helped me make a decision. The viewing was 2 full days. It went as well as a funeral can go. There were no âissuesâ or problems that arose. I was walked or, better yet carried through the process by Vereb Funeral Home and specifically Patrick Vereb. He was my angel and my childrenâs angel in our time of need. I highly, highly recommend him and Vereb Funeral Home.

Our dear Zivi, was like a daughter to us. She was a feral cat that came into our home for 10 wonderful years. When she fell ill, we were given Eternity Pet Memorial Cremation Services. We brought our baby girl home and we were so comforted and pleased with their services. Our hearts are filled with sorrow, but were calmed by the way they took such wonderful and compassionate care of our dear Zivi.

I could not be more happy with how my cats ashes were handed back to me. Everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend them for the cremation of your beloved fur babies.

My 75 lb lab passed away at my home at 12:45AM. I was at a loss as to handle this. Vereb funeral services answered my call immediately and came to my home around 2:30 AM. The gentleman was so kind and respectful. I'm forever greatful.

this review is about a year too late but I just wanted to thank this company for making a very hard time a lot easier! After my Romey passed, we received his ashes about a week later, along with a shadowbox containing his picture, some clippings of his fur, a paw print keepsake in a frame, sympathy cards, and keychains with his picture. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion during this time. Extremely affordable and Krista was so kind and handled my baby with so much care. I truly appreciate it and would recommend them to anyone.

Thank you for the kindness and courtesy in handling the cremation of my cat Vivian. All was well explained, kept simple, conducted with care, respect, and attention to detail. Knowing that she was in caring hands was of great solace in that difficult time. The package in which her ashes were returned is thoughtful and elegant. Thank you so much.

My Prissy was brought home today. I cannot say enough about their work and kindness. This is our 4th cremation and I will never have anyone else take care of our beloved pets. Thank you so much!

We were from out of town visiting our son when our Dog Macie died in her sleep (she had been battling an illness). Being from out of town and it being a Saturday morning we were unsure of where to go. We decided on Vereb Funeral Home after reading some reviews and we were completely satisfied with our entire experience. Nothing but a positive experience during a stressful time. Thanks for all your help and assisitance

Thank you so much for the beautiful frame and ceramic paw print of our beautiful Puffer. I love the added gold to the paw print. We really appreciate your kind words during this difficult time. It' was so important to us to know that she was in loving hands. The keychain is lovely too. Thank you so much for everything......

I really wanted to like this funeral home but I simply cannot. Iâll begin with his awkward and wayward banter when we initially met him after seeking him for my motherâs untimely passing, to his communication being very poor and rude. The funeral director, Mr Vereb has a very morbid personality and my experience with him should have been better. This was a human, not a pet. I had to remind this man of that during a phone call. I have no doubt that this individual might be great at pet cremation but dealing with HUMANS and having good customer service, he lacks. He was just HORRIBLE! We as a family do not reside in Pittsburgh and had to suddenly drive 13 hours PA on 12/11/23 to seek a funeral home for cremation. Initially, he seemed compassionate but after the monies were paid and paperwork signed, he was absolutely weird and rude. Even the Medical Examinerâs office questioned my family about releasing our loved oneâs body to him. I pray that he does better with other families in the future. He mentioned that he only does about â70 bodies a yearâ and when I asked him questions about cremation and making sure it was my mother as any grieving daughter would. He stated âThis business is 100% trust.â with a smirk. I would hate for anyone to have our experience. I hope to never see this man or funeral home ever again!! I only provided 2 stars because he seemed to do the paperwork correctly and we had cremated ashes delivered to our home state. Thatâs it. I would not recommend this funeral home for your precious loved ones. The thought of him personally handing my motherâs body actually disgusts me. Pets maybe but I would not. But again he boasts on his booming pet business!UPDATE: Read the owner's response, this should speak volumes! No apology for his crass and rude behavior. He was paid all dues (we have receipts) up front and he nickeled and dimed us to death for a "non-viewing" cremation service. The price got higher and higher with each word he spoke and mentioned weight, and overnighting ashes could would be additional fees. Sheesh. He did not go out of his way as he stated. Just unprofessional and tactless. This guy has been paid more than enough for doing not much at all. Do better with HUMANS in your business or retire!

We had a mixed experience with Vereb. We contacted this funeral home to pickup and cremate our 130 pound Rottweiler. I made sure to alert the funeral home of his size before they came and they assured me that they had a stretcher and multiple people to help take him away. The âstretcherâ was actually a rusty old furniture dolly with bungee cords. The âextra helpâ that they sent was a woman named Krista who didnât find it necessary to help lift my dog, I ended up helping move him. If he hadnt been laying on our moving blanket, which ended up getting cremated with him, I do not have much confidence that they would have been able to get him in the bag. So after all of the money we spent on the service, I still had to lift my dogs corpse into the body bag. And when it came time to move the stretcher down the small set of stairs in front of my house, the man by himself clunked my dogs dead body down the stairs like it was a washing machine being tossed in the trash. I was going to help myself but he went ahead and just did it without asking anyone for helpâŠit just showed a bit of a disrespect for my dogs body that I didnât appreciate. The day was already hard enough but the general lack of respect for my dogs body made it a bit harder. We really appreciate them showing up on time and doing what they said they would do for a fair price but the experience was definitely a lot more difficult than it needed to be because of the things done and said by the funeral director. Mr. Vereb, if youâre reading this please know that I appreciate your service and that this review is for your own goodâŠI hope that you read this and take my words as a challenge to better yourself and your practices. You are a nice man but your morbid funeral home director personality came through pretty hard during this experience and for us normal folk it can be a bit tough to handle on such a hard day.Edit: Krista, the vial woman working for Vereb, called us this morningâŠ.not to apologize, but to argue that she âcan lift the dogâ. She was because she thought I was insinuating she could not lift the dog because she is a woman (which I was not). We are back to being in tears again from having to talk to this despicable women who canât even swallow her pride enough to apologize but rather would focus on her offense over a perceived gender issue. This woman has zero self awareness. Mr Vereb if you would like to call me yourself I would be happy to elaborate on all of this but DO NOT have Krista call me again.

Honestly canât say enough how impressed I am. We got our beloved furry friend cremated & upgraded to the package with the gold paw print and fur clipping and everything turned out very nice. I love having him home with us with his shadow box displayed. They were so kind on the phone and explained all my options, picked him up in no time, and we already have him back home.

Wonderful service- my Jack passed late on a Sunday evening, you showed within an hour- spoke compassionately & felt as if you really cared for your job. Hand delivered and returned Jack's remains quickly.Thank you, the gold pawprint is absolutely beautiful.

There was a mistake on my dog's date of birth on the shadow box. I called and spoke with the owner and informed him and reviewed the dates several times. He said he would correct it and mail me a new one. I received a new certificate, again with wrong dates and no shadow box print! So, i called again and reiterated dates again. I was told i would be sent the correct one. That was 10 days ago and I still haven't received it. I would think a simple date change would not be this difficult.

Great job to Patrick Vereb, who is the man in charge here. At a very difficult time of sorrow and sadness, this guy gets it. Kind, caring, and service all the way. My siblings and I having been raised in and since left the neighborhood years ago while my parents remained.Unfortunately, we all returned to have a funeral for one of them.We were tentative about this place knowing it had changed hands years ago to a new supervisor. Well, worry not,. Although communications with outside entities, ie cemetary, church, can improve, , This place is well maintained and the standards have been kept high. Perfect intimate neighberhood funeral parlor with a professional at the helm. Thank you Patrick for helping my Family and I through our hour of need.
