We've been bringing our dog, Maizey, here for both veterinary care and boarding for several years, and we couldn’t be happier. The entire staff—from the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians—are incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive. They really take the time to get to know each dog personally.We really appreciate that the team is always happy to meet us at the car and even help us sneak out the back when needed, as Maizey tends to get a little anxious in waiting rooms. Every vet we’ve worked with has been thorough and thoughtful, addressing all of her various allergies and tummy issues with care.The only minor downside is that they don’t offer Sunday drop-offs or pickups for boarding. However, that’s a small trade-off for the amazing care they provide. The rates are reasonable, so for longer trips it’s reassuring to know Maizey is in good hands—especially with a vet close by! We know she loves going there with how excited she gets when we drop her off. You can tell they strike a good balance of play and relax-time with daycare/boarding. When we pick her up she's always well-rested and healthy, unlike some other boarding places we’ve tried where she returned red-eyed, stressed and dehydrated. We can’t imagine trusting anyone else with her care! <3

We have been visiting Paoli Vetcare for many years, with several generations of pet cats both as patients and as boarders while we traveled. It's an absolutely wonderful practice, with a staff that's caring and skillful. Dr. Rowan has seen us from well-kitten visits through the challenges of caring for older cats with chronic conditions with kindness and first-rate treatment. He has always outlined all the health-care choices with clarity and honesty, and his respect and affection for the animals he treats is unrivaled. We'd give them ten stars if we could!

Our family has been with Paoli Vetcare for medical care, routine and sick visits, as well as surgeries since 2005. Dr. Rowan and Dr Dawn ,who has left last year, have given prompt, loving, and attentive care! Staff has been great as well! We have had four dogs since then, and unfortunately two have passed, but Frodo and Sam still are in their care. We live in Florida and were in town to visit family. We found Paoli 2 miles from where we were staying. The reviews were good so we decided to check it out.Our dog Cooper was treated so well and with so much love and care; it showed through from the moment we dropped him off to when we picked him up. The staff clearly enjoyed him and he was so happy. They sent me pictures daily upon request and even surprised me with a cute video of him playing with his new friends. He was clean and didn't stink when we picked him up for our 2-day drive home.He enjoyed himself so much, he seemed sad to leave!I would give 10 stars if I could for his boarding and overall care. Top notch for sure!Thank you to the entire staff here for caring for our boy Cooper and treating him well. Cooper is looking forward to his next pupcation with you all!

Very impressed, Dr.Dawn removed 4 suspicious lumps from my Henry right there during his appointment & I was surprised the bill was so reasonable, that’s a 1st!!!! The Dr was very gentle & understanding about my giant baby & he seemed un-traumatized by his visit. I felt like the Dr did a great job without “up selling “ & over treating which is so rare at a veterinarian office.

Such a great and passionate team! I brought in my fear-reactive senior pit bull (Bubbles)for a follow-up appointment, and they were incredibly patient and kind to her. They also took into account the recent surgery she had and were considerate of the costs, clearly explaining what was necessary for that day's appointment and what could be done later, which I greatly appreciated. Bubbles even left with a mouthful of peanut butter, which was absolutely adorable!

Paoli Vet is great. Winston (my beagle) and I moved to this area last year and I worried about going to a new vet. Winston has a lot of skin and allergy issues and on medications. Our first visit there they put me at ease and treated Winston as if he’s been a patient there for years. Dr. Rowan took his time with Winston since he is very skittish and afraid. He did a thorough exam and explained everything he was doing. Since Winston takes meds I call for refills and they always get that script to me on the same day. I definitely made a great decision choosing Paoli Vet.

I’m giving 4 stars because I don't want to burn bridges, but my experience could have been better. Leaving our dog overnight for the first time was nerve-racking. The helpful person at the front assured us they could send pictures that afternoon if we messaged them. I messaged, but received no response. It was the weekend, so I remembered from my conversation that only front desk employees handle this, but clearer communication is needed. Also, my dog required a vaccine, but I wasn’t informed about the examination fee or the need to return for a booster shot. Improvements in communication and transparency would enhance the experience.Update: She is having bloody diarrhea after her stay which the technicians mentioned didn't notice(just soft stool) when she was there. Hard to believe as she was perfectly healthy before we left her and since the technicians didn't notice diarrhea, it's difficult for them to honor their policy of no cost treatment if the pet was boarded with them. I am probably going to try another location at this point next time. Maybe I am over protective for my dog.Happy to see Chelsea responding to the comments and making sure that the dog parents are treated well along with our dogs. :)

Paoli Vet is not only convenient, but the staff is very pleasant and helpful, fully aware of the 4-legged furry patient we bring to them every year+. Dr. Rowan shows compassion and interest in every aspect of Maisie's life, offering suggestions on improving her overall health. I have had three dogs who've lived long, healthy lives over the years and were always treated with such care by Paoli Vet Care. We've just adopted a new puppy and we brought him in for his first checkup. I was so happy to see that nothing has changed in the few years since or last little guy crossed the rainbow bridge -- same wonderful family atmosphere at Paoli Vet Care! Dr Rowan and Team treat each animal with the love and care they would their own pets, which always brings a sense of comfort for your pet! They even had a sweet little welcome bag for our pup's first appointment! I cannot recommend Paoli highly enough!!

My dog Molly and I had a very positive experience. Molly is an abused rescue and can be extremely anxious. The entire staff were very knowledgeable on the proper techniques to use with her so that we could have a productive visit. Dr. Rowan was equally as aware of her mental well being as he was committed to helping with the physical concerns I had for Molly. I was especially appreciative of Dr. Rowan’s straightforward approach not making things more complex than needed. Life is complex enough and it gave me a bit more peace of mind knowing he was informed and confident with his treatment of my girl. Definitely happy we have this new vet practice moving forward!

I would give Paoli Vet 20 stars. They. have taken care of all three of our Standard Poodles for the last 30 years. Dr. Rowan is amazing! He diagnosed what no others could! I'll never forget when he got down on the floor with our first fur baby to put him down and he hugged him and kissed him. Touched our hearts! Such compassion and love! The entire office is loving and caring and they have very convenient appointments, day and night.

Update: After some initial hiccup, Dr. Rowan called me the other day and asked me to bring my cat back for a second look WITHOUT charge. In today’s in-person session, Dr. Rowan explained everything clearly to me: He could have put my cat through expensive dental procedures, but instead he chose what’s best for my cat. As an avid pet owner, I know I’ve found a vet with whom I can entrust my five furbabies!—————————————First impression is pretty solid. However, while I was told to wait for an email estimate of dental cleaning for my cat, that email hasn’t arrived in a timely manner. I haven’t received anything.Besides, one of my cats has a mouth ulcer, so I asked the vet (I was told she is a rotating one, not their regular vets) if there’s anything she could do before the dental cleaning procedure just to alleviate his pain/discomfort; she said NO, which doesn’t really match the research I’ve done. I’m a bit confused about that part. With no immediate treatment and no email estimate, I’m wondering if I need to take my cat to another vet.

I brought my dog (Brody) and our family cat (Kit) in for their exams/vaccinations with Dr. Rowan this morning, 1/24. It was my first time seeing him specifically and it was a fantastic experience. He is a great listener and really personalizes the experience for your pets. You can tell that he genuinely cares about each animal. I cannot recommend him enough for customers in the Paoli area! Dr. Rowan and Paoli Vetcare have been helping me manage my dog with Addison's Disease and liver disease. They are excellent! Dr. Rowan makes extra time to check in on how my dog is responding to the medications he prescribes and gives a lot of thought about how to adjust things when it is necessary. The staff who work at reception and receive my phone calls are friendly and well-informed about each pet. I found this practice by accident and I am still wondering how I got so lucky.

The Paoli Vetcare team came to our rescue when we first relocated to Pennsylvania. They are incredibly caring and professional. Our senior cat, Whiskers, had oral surgery shortly before the move. I highly recommend Paoli Vetcare. The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. They are very patient, even when pets are a little nervous. My family has used Paoli Vetcare for more than 20 years. They have helped us raise two puppies and two older rescues throughout the years. They have always provided us with excellent vet care, grooming and boarding facilities. Dr. Rowan, Dr. Dawn and the entire staff are always so friendly, kind and gentle with our dogs. The office staff is very efficient and always remembers every pet's name :) Both Dr. Rowan and Dr. Dawn have always been very compassionate and patient with all of our dogs, especially as they aged and had health issues.

My dog Molly and I had a very positive experience. Molly is an abused rescue and can be extremely anxious. The entire staff were very knowledgeable on the proper techniques to use with her so that we could have a productive visit. Dr. Rowan was equally as aware of her mental well being as he was committed to helping with the physical concerns I had for Molly. I was especially appreciative of Dr. Rowan’s straightforward approach not making things more complex than needed. Life is complex enough and it gave me a bit more peace of mind knowing he was informed and confident with his treatment of my girl. Definitely happy we have this new vet practice moving forward!

I would give Paoli Vet 20 stars. They. have taken care of all three of our Standard Poodles for the last 30 years. Dr. Rowan is amazing! He diagnosed what no others could! I'll never forget when he got down on the floor with our first fur baby to put him down and he hugged him and kissed him. Touched our hearts! Such compassion and love! Update: After some initial hiccup, Dr. Rowan called me the other day and asked me to bring my cat back for a second look WITHOUT charge. In today’s in-person session, Dr. Rowan explained everything clearly to me: He could have put my cat through expensive dental procedures, but instead he chose what’s best for my cat. As an avid pet owner, I know I’ve found a vet with whom I can entrust my five furbabies!—————————————First impression is pretty solid. However, while I was told to wait for an email estimate of dental cleaning for my cat, that email hasn’t arrived in a timely manner. I haven’t received anything.Besides, one of my cats has a mouth ulcer, so I asked the vet (I was told she is a rotating one, not their regular vets) if there’s anything she could do before the dental cleaning procedure just to alleviate his pain/discomfort; she said NO, which doesn’t really match the research I’ve done. I’m a bit confused about that part. With no immediate treatment and no email estimate, I’m wondering if I need to take my cat to another vet.

Have been going to Paoli Vet for about a year now with our 1 year old miniature dachshund.The staff is always so friendly and you can tell they love animals and care for them deeply. They’re happy to help schedule appointments and answer questions you have. They’ve been very responsive to all forms of communication (email, text, calls) — and call back when they say they’ll call back!Dr. Rowan performed the spay for our little girl, and he did such a fantastic job. Since 1997 we have been clients of Dr Rowan and Company. Our first dog was Woodward aka Woody, the largest of the litter a Golden Retriever. Next we downsized and went with a Cairn Terrier and he managed to meet and survive an opossum.Not without a Rabies booster though. Now we are on our 2nd Cairn but this one is a true Terrorist. Kobe is mellowing out now a bit thanks to Prozac and Dr Rowan & Team.

Paoli Vet Care is a very special place. I first met Dr. J. Rowan, when he took over the practice almost 30 years ago. He knew how upset my husband and I were to say goodbye to our beloved Golden retriever of 13 years. He and his wife, also a veterinarian, came to our home to ease Daisy's passing. In the last three decades, I have come to appreciate everyone who works at Paoli Vet Care. The young team that cares for the animals during daycare is absolutely outstanding. We miss Dr. Dawn so much as she was our vet for a long time; a kind, compassionate, and thorough professional. An attempt was made to continue care, but there were stark contrasts in bedside manner/personalities that just didn't work for us. Prices have also increased dramatically, for the same services and medications; inflation, sure, but only to a certain point. We also noticed that some of our favorite staff members are no longer there. My husband gets the emails and commented on the odd tone about being respectful to the practice/staff and following "the rules." I think the email could have been written differently and may have read more tasteful. It was off-putting and didn't exactly foster confidence. I'm not sure if I recommend the practice or not as we had a great experience with a vet who is no longer there, and we need that trust and warmth from someone working with our pets. I wish the practice all the best, truly, and thank them for all the years of care - especially their safety measures during COVID.

I have been using Paoli Vet for over 10 years. They are very experienced doctors and show so much love for my dogs. There is a comfortable feel in the office with all the staff. They are always available and attentive to our needs. They provide many different services from veterinarian care to grooming to boarding, etc. They make preventative care suggestions but never make you feel like they are trying to sell you extra services. I really enjoy going to Paoli Vetcare. We routinely see Dr. Rowan, but my cat and dog have seen other doctors as well. We receive good care, and I appreciate how honest that they are with treatments. We have both a small dog and a cat that hates going to the vet, but they are both treated with wonderful attention care. Dr. Rowan is an amazing vet! He saved my cat's life many years ago. Her declining health was brushed off by her original vet who stated she was just getting old. At her first visit with Dr. Rowan he diagnosed her with a thyroid issue and fixed it. She went on to live another 10 happy, zesty years. He's been our vet through numerous pets. Paoli Vetcare has been caring for our pets for many years. The staff is wonderful. They clearly love working with animals. My pups(Charlie and Sam) are called by name as soon as we walk through the door and think they are going on vacation whenever we visit the office for whatever reason! The vets are caring doctors who get right down on the floor with our dogs and treat them as they would their own pets. We know they always have our pets best interest at heart. We had a really good experience taking our large dog here. Our dog is very scared of the vet and Paoli Vetcare did a great job trying to make him comfortable and make sure he had a good experience. In the past, we’ve had vets not give our dog a full exam because he was scared and they didn’t feel comfortable with him, but that was not the case here! They took the time to give him the personal attention that helps him have a good experience! The COVID experience was really smooth (car side drop-off for his appointment) and they even let my husband bring him in to meet the vet tech to try to help with his experience. I took off a star because we had to wait almost 45 minutes for them to get to us, but to me, that communicates that Paoli Vetcare is willing to take the time needed for each animal, rather than rushing through, and having a scared dog, that means a lot, though I know others don’t always feel that way. Thanks for an awesome experience!

When my oldest cat passed away in March of 2020, I received heartfelt phone calls from both Dr Rowan and his team. Very unprofessional !!!! had 2 appointments cancelled (Paoli was 1 hour before the appointment (had to reschedule grooming appointment - 5 month old puppies who need their rabi shot, then re-booked in Exton and they cancelled - had to re-schedule first grooming again!!!!! Dr. Rowan is an amazing vet! He saved my cat's life many years ago. Her declining health was brushed off by her original vet who stated she was just getting old. At her first visit with Dr. Rowan he diagnosed her with a thyroid issue and fixed it. She went on to live another 10 happy, zesty years. He's been our vet through numerous pets. He explains everything clearly and always promptly returns phone calls. I highly recommend.

Due to unfortunate circumstances with our previous vet, I went on a search for a new primary vet to provide Winnie’s care in between her visits with the cardiologist. Paoli Vetcare not only helps me resolve these concerns, but they do so with immense compassion. They never make me feel like I am overreacting to a situation and always take the time to listen to a full explanation from the doggy parent. Dr. Dawn Urioste is so kind and does an amazing job keeping animals calm and making the vet experience as pleasant as possible. I moved to the West Chester area in 2012 and worked in Devon. I had a young dog and needed to find a new vet. I choose Paoli Vetcare after doing some research.Now, I've been bringing that same dog here for over 6 years. He comes here for all checkups and ailments. He's had at least a couple minor surgeries that I can recall. I've moved farther away in the last few years and now often work from home; I'm rarely close to Paoli anymore. However, I continue to bring my dog here. They are always very caring, honest, and have never tried to sell us something we didn't need.Additionally, I used to bring my dog here daily for daycare. It was very convenient and I never had any issues. I boarded him here as well and never had an issue. From what I recall, the prices were better than all other local options.While my dog might not entirely enjoy the waiting room and the possibility of being dropped off while I leave, I will continue to bring him here so long as I'm within an hour drive. I've had bad experiences in the past with less caring providers and large providers that didn't remember my dog's name. This is not one of those places.

Paoli Vetcare has been our vet of choice for over ten years. We have a zoo of animals at home - cats and dogs. Dr. Rowan has taken care of our fur babies though well checks, sick visits, surgeries, and more. He is practical and thorough. He leans toward less invasive methods when possible and lays out multiple options without judgement. Dr. Dawn has seen our new puppies and our aging 15 year old dog when Dr. Rowan was not available. We've loved her as well. She is very diligent in checking back on our animals by phone after treatment. Overall, this is an group of doctors that really cares for your pets the way you do. Paoli Vetcare has been caring for our pets for many years. The staff is wonderful. They clearly love working with animals. My pups(Charlie and Sam) are called by name as soon as we walk through the door and think they are going on vacation whenever we visit the office for whatever reason! The vets are caring doctors who get right down on the floor with our dogs and treat them as they would their own pets. We know they always have our pets best interest at heart. We had a really good experience taking our large dog here. Our dog is very scared of the vet and Paoli Vetcare did a great job trying to make him comfortable and make sure he had a good experience. In the past, we’ve had vets not give our dog a full exam because he was scared and they didn’t feel comfortable with him, but that was not the case here! They took the time to give him the personal attention that helps him have a good experience! The COVID experience was really smooth (car side drop-off for his appointment) and they even let my husband bring him in to meet the vet tech to try to help with his experience. I took off a star because we had to wait almost 45 minutes for them to get to us, but to me, that communicates that Paoli Vetcare is willing to take the time needed for each animal, rather than rushing through, and having a scared dog, that means a lot, though I know others don’t always feel that way. Thanks for an awesome experience!

Very unprofessional !!!! had 2 appointments cancelled (Paoli was 1 hour before the appointment (had to reschedule grooming appointment - 5 month old puppies who need their rabi shot, then re-booked in Exton and they cancelled - had to re-schedule first grooming again!!!!! Due to the restrcits implied by our state we could not go in with our pets but the care service was just as personal. We spoke with the technician in person and doctor via phone call. I have been using Paoli Vetcare for nearly 20 years, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! Everyone here has always been so friendly and welcoming, I always feel like my dogs are in great hands! I've used them for basic care, urgent/unscheduled concerns and boarding and I've always felt like my pups were well taken care of. It's clear that everyone on staff has a great love and respect for animals! In addition to the excellent demeanor of the staff, they are more than capable care-givers and always open to discussing what you are or are not comfortable with when it comes to caring for your pets. They will always discuss a variety of options before treating your pets, including some things to try at home, before pushing for pricey or invasive options. I have always appreciated that, and it's always made me feel like they genuinely care for animals and not just seeing the numbers rise on your bill!

I've had our Maltese Belle for almost 10 years now and it's only recently since August that we switched to Paoli Vetcare due to proximity to our home and a desire to have more compassionate care. Recently Belle developed a fever and difficulty swallowing and became lethargic suddenly. We needed to take her in quickly and have some resolutions as she was clearly uncomfortable. Dr. Dawn was so wonderful and caring...truly loving towards Belle. She is the real deal. We needed to come back as symptoms worsened but she was assuring and they kept Belle there all day as they were booked so they could keep an eye on her. They knew I was worried to have her home. Her breathing was compromised which is very scary not knowing what to do. Belle was medicated and treated so well and the staff were so supportive. Dr. Dawn even followed up twice by phone to check on her. I did not know Vets did that. I'm such a grateful and 'raging" fan! Best second home ever for our dogs!

I was recommended to Paoli Vetcare by a friend whose dog had cancer and needed extensive testing/care. My first appointment was with Dr. Urioste(Dr. Dawn). Not only was she an an amazing doctor but perhaps one of the sweetest people I have ever encountered. Moving forward with my many visits(I have 2 dogs/1 cat)I also had appointments/surgeries with Dr. Rowan(super smart & caring). I cant say enough about these two professionals. Care, compassion, amazing follow up and all around animal lovers. My dogs have had ACL repairs, dental surgery, eye issues..you name it. They didn't rest till my one dog was free and clear of health issues, its personal to them. Frankly amazing. Phone calls, follow up appts, check-in's..they care as though your pets are part of their family. I adopted an adult cat from a shelter where I volunteer, he was a fantastic boy but when I brought him home he began to pee around the house(not something that world in my world)I brought him in to rule out any medical issues. Once determined he was medically fine discovered it was stress and the doctors quickly came up with a plan and he is now a good boy. I tell this story because this behavior makes many pets homeless and the Doctors were able to get this resolved quickly. I'll also add their pricing is more than fair, in fact low if you account that they are very specific about how they charge. I have had pet family members for more years then I can count, this is by far my favorite practice because of the feeling that they "know" you and your pet, they care beyond the business aspect, they just do things "right". I'll also mention the doctor's staff(April/ Theresa-Emily/Janine)-They all work so hard, and I appreciate them all so much. I have and continue to recommend this practice to anyone that needs vet services.

I have been a client at Paoli Vetcare for 22 years, and have always excellent help from the small problems to the worst of times type issues. The vets will call to check on a pet with a problem, which surprised me the first time! Many diagnostic tests can be done onsite which saves often critical time, and most importantly - they listen. They read between the lines and know what to investigate further based on the information I provide. I love this veterinary clinic!

I can't recommend Paoli Vetcare highly enough! I have been using them for many years, first with our cat and then with our first dachshund, Minnow. Our three year dachshund, Waldi, has been a patient at Paoli Vetcare since he was 10 weeks old. He loves the place and can't wait to get in the door and be greeted by the staff. I use their daycare service regularly, and Waldi has developed many human and canine friendships. The staff all know him (and me) by name! I feel totally comfortable leaving Waldi for daycare or boarding him for a few days. My son and his fiancee recently adopted a 12 week old kitten, and based on our experience with the practice, they have decided to also use Paoli Vetcare, even though they are living in Phoenixville.

My dog goes there for daycare and she's always excited to see the staff there. They are attentive and let me know if anything came up during her stay that I need to watch out for, such as an upset stomach. Great communication, always letting me know if she's in need of any vaccinations, and the pricing is the lowest I've ever found. I have nothing negative to say. Love them

Paoli Vet Carr has been taking the very best care of my special schnauzer Browzer for years! Browzer, born with a heart murmur, and abnormal eyes, is 12 1/2 ears old and continues to have a very eventful life. He’s on a special diet for pancreatitis and medication for his heart and diabetes, And dry eyes require daily cleansing and drops.Browzer changed my life in remarkable ways and I would only entrust his care to professionals who n whom I have the highest confidence! Dr. Rowan and the entire staff at Paoli Vet Care are at the rope of the heap!! They know love Browzer and they understand how important our dogs are to all of us.Because of Browzer’s special needs, I leave him in the care of Paoli Vetcare staff when we are away. Paoli Vetcare is full of wonderful and truly caring people. I was a little nervous when taking our cat here at first because we weren't allowed in due to COVID-19 precautions (which I totally respect and understand), however, my experience at another vet with similar protocols ended up being that we barely got the time of day from the vet... this is NOT the case with Paoli Vetcare. Dr. Dawn called after our appointment to debrief on everything, answering all of my questions with complete patience. (Seriously we must have been on the phone for 20 minutes). Our cat's issues mean that ongoing maintenance is necessary, including monitoring meds, Dr. Dawn has called us as scheduled and promised every single time for our cat's monitoring, and again, has given me adequate time to ask any and all questions I may have- never rushing me! They are super transparent on prices and let you know the price of anything before you commit (and FWIW their prices are very reasonable). This office is filled with wonderful people, I completely trust Dr. Dawn, and as long as we live nearby we will take our pets here :)

The absolute best! I have been to many different vets over the course of decades in various states, with various breeds and species. Dr. Rowan and Dr. Dawn are the best! It goes without saying that they are both extremely knowledgeable, well educated, and tops in their profession, but what you won't know until you go there is how caring and concerned they are for your pet's well being. Honest and true empathy and conscientious concern is abundant in this practice. I hope you don't ever need it, but if your beloved pet is seriously ill and struggling for their life, you will want the best, so why would you go anywhere else?

This review is for Paoli Vetcare and Dr. Jay Rowan. This is a long story but definitely worth reading before you decide to take your pet here.I adopted two three-month-old kittens last week and took them here last Thursday. Everything seemed to be fine and Jay told me that they were healthy. The next day I noticed that one of the kittens had hair loss behind her ear and above her eyes, so I took her back to the vet on Saturday. Since Jay was not there, technician Emily took a look at her and said it is not something urgent. She also emphasized that it was not vaccine reaction (they gave vaccines to her on Thursday and were afraid of the responsibility). Since Jay was not there, Emily booked an appointment for me and PROMISED TO WAIVE THE VET EXAM FEE (SHE PUT A NOTE ON THE APPOINTMENT). My husband and I were both there when we had that conversation. And this is what happened during today’s appointment.1. After I got into the room, a nurse/staff (let’s call her AA) examined the kitten today and went out. Jay came in, WITHOUT TAKING A LOOK AT THE KITTEN (SHE WAS STILL HIDING IN THE CARRIER), HE CLAIMED IT’S RINGWORM. How did you even know? Superpower?2. There was something red, which looks like animal blood, on Jay’s hand when he touched the kitten. Did he wash his hands before? I don't know.3. After the exam was done, I went to the front desk to pay the bill. Since the amount was higher than I expected, I asked if the vet exam fee was included in the bill and mentioned that Emily said the exam fee would be waived. Since Emily was there, she confirmed that right away. After a while, Jay still didn't show up so I came out to the front desk area and asked if they have an update, and my husband was also on the line at that time.6. Since there were other customers in that area, I guess the vet didn’t want me to ruin their business. So the nurse/staff yelled at me ‘You cannot have the conversation here, get back into the room!” I refused because I felt uncomfortable being in a small room. AA was upset, and she CAME OUT OF THE FRONT DESK, PICK UP MY CARRIER AND TOOK IT AWAY FROM ME. I immediately said ‘put down my pet, I’m going to call 911’. I was so scared at that moment since I didn't know what would happen and where she would take my kitten to, so I called 【911】 and asked for help.7. After I called the police, Jay came out immediately, SAT ON A CHAIR AND POINTED HIS FINGER ON ME. HE YELLED ‘YOU ARE A LIAR, YOU ARE A BIG LIAR’ and ordered me to leave the building immediately. I was crying, shaking, but I had to protect me and my kitten. Since the police just came in at the same moment (they were fast!), I left the building. I told the police what happened, they went into the building and investigated. I waited outside. After a while, the police came out, saying it was a miscommunication, and said the vet doesn’t welcome me anymore, which was funny because I would never go back there.Just as a side note, I took them here last Thursday and the hair loss was found last Friday (the next day). Based on what I said in 2, although I have no evidence pointing directly towards cross-infection in the hospital, I highly doubt if there is any correlation between the first visit and the ringworm problem.

The absolute best! I have been to many different vets over the course of decades in various states, with various breeds and species. Dr. Rowan and Dr. Dawn are the best! It goes without saying that they are both extremely knowledgeable, well educated, and tops in their profession, but what you won't know until you go there is how caring and concerned they are for your pet's well being. Honest and true empathy and conscientious concern is abundant in this practice. I hope you don't ever need it, but if your beloved pet is seriously ill and struggling for their life, you will want the best, so why would you go anywhere else?

This review is for Paoli Vetcare and Dr. Jay Rowan. This is a long story but definitely worth reading before you decide to take your pet here.I adopted two three-month-old kittens last week and took them here last Thursday. Everything seemed to be fine and Jay told me that they were healthy. The next day I noticed that one of the kittens had hair loss behind her ear and above her eyes, so I took her back to the vet on Saturday. Since Jay was not there, technician Emily took a look at her and said it is not something urgent. She also emphasized that it was not vaccine reaction (they gave vaccines to her on Thursday and were afraid of the responsibility). Since Jay was not there, Emily booked an appointment for me and PROMISED TO WAIVE THE VET EXAM FEE (SHE PUT A NOTE ON THE APPOINTMENT). My husband and I were both there when we had that conversation. And this is what happened during today’s appointment.1. After I got into the room, a nurse/staff (let’s call her AA) examined the kitten today and went out. Jay came in, WITHOUT TAKING A LOOK AT THE KITTEN (SHE WAS STILL HIDING IN THE CARRIER), HE CLAIMED IT’S RINGWORM. How did you even know? Superpower?2. There was something red, which looks like animal blood, on Jay’s hand when he touched the kitten. Did he wash his hands before? I don't know.3. After the exam was done, I went to the front desk to pay the bill. Since the amount was higher than I expected, I asked if the vet exam fee was included in the bill and mentioned that Emily said the exam fee would be waived. Since Emily was there, she confirmed that right away.
