During our time of sorrow for the loss of our mom, Bolock was there from the beginning. Laura was the person who arrived at our home for the intake process which went well under the circumstances. She was consoling and precise about what we needed to do going forward regarding mom who passed at home where she preferred to be. Upon arriving at Bolock we met with Brittany who was the most caring, compassionate, professional ever. Above and beyond was the services provided which made the grieving process more of a blessing for our mom’s transition. We know that she is at peace in The Presence of The Lord but we knew that her remains was in good hands at Bolock. Thanks to all of the caring staff for making a hard time lighter.

Do not use this funeral home! The last thing you need when you are in mourning is to have to deal with rude and uncaring people and way too expensive services. We were not happy at all with Bolock. There are many other funeral homes in this area that do a better job.

Losing my husband and my daughters father was heartbreaking. We were married 51 years. Even though we knew this was coming for years now it still was hard on everyone. Bolock Funeral Home was caring and very helpful. They took charge and handled everything. I knew they would be since I used them before when my mother passed. My words can't explain all my Feelings. My Grandma transitioned into a better place on June 27th, 2023. Ms. Brittany assisted our family during this time of need. There was absolutely no stress or worries regarding making great arrangements for my grandma. Ms. Brittany was absolutely amazing. Seriously!!! I can’t thank Mike and staff at Bolock Funeral Home enough for their exceptional level of service. The compassion, sensitivity and caring shown by Mike and staff in arranging my Mother’s funeral helped enormously at a very difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone I have used them before with my dad a few moths ago and my mother in law yrs ago. Also a few family members used them too. This is our family funeral parlor!! Once again I can’t recommend them enough,an excellent funeral Parlor and staff!!

I lost my only child in late July of this year. As a mother I never thought I'd be saying goodbye to my son at age 20. The staff at Bolock Funeral Home were very helpful, patient and compassionate. Navigating everything involved in putting someone to rest is very difficult and the professional staff at Bolock went out of their way to facilitate this necessary exercise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who needs to say goodbye to a loved one.

As the passing of loved one during the holiday season is very difficult, there are not enough thanks that we could give for the services provided. The room was set up to beautifully display the flowers and plants received by family and friends. We felt supported in all of our wishes and they paid very close attention to all the details to celebrate our mother’s/wife’s life. We would highly recommend using Bolock Funeral home.

The staff at Bolock was very professional during my initial visit to make funeral arrangements for my mother. After her passing, they were immediately available and responsive to my family's needs. I felt comfortable with the staff anytime I contacted them by phone or in person. Due to Bolock, the funeral was one less thing I had to be concerned about during this stressful time.

During a time of utter sadness and despair, the entire staff was just incredible. Not only did they show the utmost professionalism and respect to myself and my family, but at the same time they were so very kind, compassionate, helpful and there to answer my many questions. They went above and beyond to have my father receive military honors at his service also. I HIGHLY recommend Bolock Funeral home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I called Bolock Funeral Home to arrange my father's funeral. Unfortunately my father couldn't travel to the funeral home so they came to the house. We met Nuria Gayer when she came to the house. She was professional but very quickly and easily related to me and my father. She helped us make difficult decisions with relevant examples.Much to my surprise, I met Mike Bolock the night my father passed. It was Mike who came to pick up my father.The details after my father passed and during the days leading up to his day were handled mostly by Jessica. She is a taskmaster. It seemed like the details became determined and organized in a minute, but it really took a couple of days phone calls and e-mails. She handled last minute changes without a hitch.My father's viewing and ceremony were well attended. Nuria was present to make sure everything went smoothly, and it did.I can't tell you how many times I heard what a great viewing and service I gave my father. It helped me get through the day. I continued to receive those sentiments well into the celebration of life party that followed. I know my father would have been very pleased with his send off.I'd like to share all of those accolades with Bolock Funeral Home and especially with Nuria. She made the difference.

This place was amazing during the worst days of my life so far. Unexpected passing of my 34 year old brother with no health concerns hit us like a truck and we as a family were adrift. Mike, of Bolock made this awful first time planing the viewing of a close loved one as pleasnt as it can be. He communicated often and reached out constantly. He even gave advice and showed concern for my sister when she was not handling at all and for this I am forever grateful! Thank you Bolock and Mike for your help and compassion when we needed both the most. No price gouge or haggle, it was easy and as expected price wise.. fair I guess the word is. I would hate to give a recommendation on any wedding or funeral arrangements since these are tough personal situations but I would not hesitate to recommend Bolock to anyone who needs help and has no idea where to start. Thanks all

Losing my Dad was absolutely devastating. There simply are no words. None. That being said; I don’t know what we would have done without Nuria. Her level of professionalism was awe inspiring.From our first call, where we learned that Pocono Medical Center snowed us and never called Bolock, to the delivery of my Dad’s final remains, Nuria was there for us the whole time.Making final arrangements for a loved one is one of life’s most difficult and daunting tasks. Nuria went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with the process and gave us all the time we needed to make our decisions. We had some…unusual requests as my Dad belonged to a number of different organizations. Nuria did her best to contact those aforementioned organizations and in the end my Dad got the send off he earned in life.I had the misfortune of having my Dad pass suddenly in the hospital, that’s not how I wanted to remember him. He was presented to us the way I want to remember him.Thank you so much Nuria and everyone at Bolock Funeral Home for turning a horrendous situation into a bearable one. I recommend Nuria Gayer and Bolock Funeral Home without hesitation.

Mom passef away September 2 labor day. When we called the funeral home Nuria was there to help us. Going through the passing of a parent is tough enough Nuria helped us through the process with a great deal of sympathy.The day of the wake Nuria was there to help us set up pictures and there for us in case we needed anything she was very profesional.Michael Bolock was there the day we picked up mom's ashes he met with us after the funeral home was closed. My father was taken by cancer and as you know, he did not look like the man I knew and loved.Nuria Gayer was our funeral Director. She was the most loving and caring person we had come across all throughout Dads illness. September 2021 was a very difficult time for Myself and my family. September 10th we lost my step dad and Sept 23rd I lost my husband of 25 years 💔 Had both services 3 days apart & Laura and Jessica were both so helpful during this horrible time ( we've never had to arrange a service before let alone 2 in one week) We were worried what my husband would look like because of the cancer BUT we were pleasantly surprised to see he looked like he was sleeping. Disappointed from the moment we arrived... Building was closed at 6 pm when we arrived from out of town expecting to view our loved one. The day of the service we arrived at 11:15 am service was to start at 12pm we and other relatives were not allowed to come inside the funeral home until the exact time. We were told that they were meeting with another family, that they didn't want us walking though while they were meeting. THinkg was there only one room in the buliding. Our love one make up was dark tone, imperfections were notice from the haircut to the stuff on his lips, the placement of his hands. I don't recommend this funeral home for black people and hope that I never have to attend another service there either.
