Customer Reviews Summary
West Laurel Hill Cemetery is highly praised for its compassionate staff and beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Many reviewers highlight the empathetic service provided during difficult times, making the experience more bearable. However, there are concerns regarding communication and delays in service, particularly related to headstone orders.

Similar to Laurel Hill East without as much historical internment. It's a beautifully landscaped cemetery. This is worth the visit just for a relaxing walk across the lush and tree lined roadways. For exercise or fresh air it would be very nice. There are some famous people buried here just like the East side but not nearly as many. The caretakers building is worth a visit too. There is an old fashioned horse drawn carriage worth seeing and it's a good stop for water/restrooms.

This is a first-rate facility run by wonderful people. I had the good fortune to work with Patricia Quigley, one of the primary Funeral Directors there. From the moment that I had to make the initial call, she and her staff were kind, attentive to my needs, and supremely empathetic. They made an excruciatingly difficult situation as bearable and manageable as humanly possible, and I'm gratefulfrom the heart for their involvement and engagement.Thank you, Patricia and staff.

Sad that I have to write a bad review. I paid for a headstone for my mother in March of 2024 and in January of 2025 it is still not here. I have called and emailed Thomas Chamberlain over a half dozen times, he does not return my calls or give me any explanation. When trying to escalate to a manger, they say he is the only one who can access the file. Itโs really unacceptable. Coming up on a two years since my motherโs passing and still no marker. Itโs a shame to be treated this way.

I received a call from a kind gentleman who apologized for the mixup. He found my acct. and promptly placed an order for my Dads dated plate. I feel so much better! He was very empathetic. Thanks for handling our families issue. Your kindness went a long way.

Thank you Tasha for all your assistance and helping us with our motherโs final journey of peace. Everyone at Laurel Hill West Funeral Home was an absolute pleasure to work with. During the worst of times, when you may not be thinking straight, and youโre navigating brand new waters, Tasha takes care of every last details with compassion and professionalism. She and her associates communicated periodically with us to make sure that all our needs was met. Again, thank you for making our motherโs service a beautiful celebration of a wonderful life.

Concert at the crypts..music was awesome as always but very disappointed in the change in venue, lack of theatrical lighting and general vibe. The address posted at Laurel Hills was not the address of the venue. During post performances, we LOVED the violinist serenading guests as they left while on top of the crypt. The ambiance was quite different and we missed it very much! Beautiful weather, great music, disappointing overall experience. Will not attend next year if this is the same location.

I couldnโt have chose a better place for my son to rest. Andre is a blessing sent from Godโฆ. He brought peace to my soul through the burial of my 14 year old son.

My maternal grandparents are laid to rest here. Itโs quiet and beautiful. And I grew up visiting my grandparentsโ graves, strolling along the ginkgo trees and reading the grave markers since I was 10. Itโs Pennsylvania beautiful to me when the fall foliage starts to come in. Recently, I had contacted Ginny Heyer at West Laurel Hill Cemetery about my fatherโs interment. He had past two years ago and my mother wanted to bury his cremains. Well, there was all kinds of family miscommunication on my part, and although we didnโt end up at WLHC for my father, I wanted to voice my amazing experience and burn it into permanent interest history about how Ginny and WLHC so lovingly and professionally answered my emails, questions, how prompt they were, and gave me the kind and warm support from real angels you need when youโve lost a loved one. Even though my dad died two years ago, the grief is always there and Ginny knew this. Ginny, you and I will now share an affectionate and funny story forever and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. Friends, if youโre choosing a final resting place for someone, consider this location first. Itโs where Iโd want to be if I chose burial. Love to all who need it right now. ๐

Beautiful! This cemetery currently has two of my family members resting and will continue to do so for the future. My grandfather recently wanted to lay his wife to rest in a mausoleum and this cemetery was so accommodating and sweet. Whenever I had questions, Kristen was so nice and lovely to work with. She provided the perfect balance of business and feeling like she was part of the family helping to get the perfect outcome. I cannot thank you enough for keeping such a lovely cemetery. Iโm looking forward to pre-planning for myself and husband so we can also be laid to rest here when the time comes. Thank you for your services!
Darshan Dabir
Patricia and her crew are just amazing! We had many things that needed to be done in a short amount of time. Patricia went above and beyond what one could ask for. Thank you for helping making this difficult process and time easier and smoother for my family. We appreciate you and your crew.
Shanni Prutchi
The grounds of the cemetery are well kept and very clean. Although the cemetery is very, very large, it is easy to locate the resting spots of anyone, as they have an app which allows you to search by name and will then provide GPS directions to that plot. It makes visiting loved ones much easier without having to worry about remembering landmarks. Staff is very friendly, even when just stepping into the offices to ask for help.
Howard Serlick-Noble-Napier
A beautiful historic non denominational cemetery. The grounds are superbly maintained. The memorials range from the simple to monumental in scale. Visitors, cyclists are welcome to walk the beautiful paths during daylight hours.

West Laurel Hill Pet Cemetery took care of my beloved cat Hank with kindness and compassion. They created a memorial card and paw print plaque of Hank. Peaceful and serene place and the staff are very caring. Thank you.Suniti

West Laurel Hill provides outstanding service by their compassionate funeral home and cemetery staff complemented by the most gorgeous grounds. Plus, they have some great community-minded (and fun) events there.

Our experience with West Laurel Hill's 'Patricia Quigley & Michele Meckler was comforting and so caring. All our requests were accepted with the utmost compassion and so accomodating which made this heartbreaking situation bearable. In addition to the beauty, we would give West Laurel Hill Cemetary the best review possible in every aspect.Thank youโคMary Ann & Amy

When my sister died in Philadelphia, Ginny was helpful and sensitive in describing the possibilities for scattering her ashes at West Laurel Hill. She guided us through the steps on that day and made an otherwise difficult occasion into one that was both meaningful and memorable.
Leyla Nakisbendi
My dad was just collected by Jennifer who picked my mom up in March. I remembered her and she remembered me. We gave each other a big hug. I wonder how many people hug the funeral serviceโs pick up people? Iโve been texting all weekend with Pat making plans as we knew my dadโs passing was soon. I donโt know what power in this world helped us find WLHC (my abbreviation) but I am forever grateful and cannot recommend these people enough. In a sad time, they are beacons of support and loving kindness.
Lionel Green
Beautiful. Peaceful. Historic. Mom couldn't have picked a better resting place. God bless West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
