My uncle passed away on the 11th of September. He was transported to the funeral home. By the 13th the man at the funeral home was threatening my other uncle with a lawsuit for funds as the next of kin after refusing to allow him to move the body to another crematory that was more economical for the family. The funeral home director did this because he was considering the children to be the next of kin, which is fine. But he can’t have it both ways. He can’t refuse to give my uncle a say in what is happening with his brothers body and then say he is going to sue him when the children decide they don’t want anything to do with it two days later.And how dare my uncle have to be threatened when he has just lost his brother in death.It hurts my heart that my uncle was treated this way. He is living with RA and waiting to get on disability. The funeral home had my information and never tried to call me to see about me taking care of the expenses before threatening my uncle and now I just have such a bad taste in my mouth I can’t imagine supporting their business in any way.Maybe the funeral director was just having a bad day but I am thinking if he isn’t able to treat people who are grieving with tact and kindness maybe he needs to find a new career..Thanks for reading.Danielle

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They went above and beyond to show the utmost care and compassion in the care of my family’s beloved 15 year old dog. A dog in our family is family and they understood that. Not only did we receive a beautiful wooden box with our sweet girl’s name engraved in it, but they took the time to make a mold of her paw. It will forever be cherished in my family. I cannot say enough great things about McClendon-Winters.

They did an excellent job of laying my grandmother to rest. Everything was beautiful the arrangements the professionalism of the service and, of course, the price. I've been a part of several funeral services for several family members and McClendon Winters is, by far, one of the best. Thank you for taking care of my grandmother Lila Bearden.

The staff at McClendon-Winters is great. In particularly, Hayley Tuggle is very competent, thorough and courteous; she ensured my questions were answered to my complete satisfaction. I will recommend McClendon-Winters to anyone needing their services.
