I normally donāt leave reviews, but yesterday I found myself lost in heartbreak. My best friend, Jaxx, was a 14-year-old German Shepherd that I got after I served in the Marines and has been by my side ever since. He has saved my life many times and always kept me guided to the light. Now, I have had to do the hardest thing I have ever had to do, which was say goodbye to my Jackie Boy, and there are no words for the heartache I am suffering. Not prepared for this moment, because I never wanted it to be reality, had me scrambling of what to do now and how do I honor Jaxx. I googled cremations near me and came across a business that I could take him to, but the business hours were running short, he told me I had 20 minutes to get there and pull up by the shop doors to ādropā Him off. Me not being in the right headspace was overwhelmed and rushing to get out the door. But after a few conversations, I realize no this was not how I wanted my last few moments with Jaxx and feel regrets. The gentleman was extremely rude no empathy for the situation, and I was uncomfortable to leave my dog with him not knowing how he would be treated after. So I went back on Google and DeJohn cremation was immediately blown up on my screen, so I called and Jennifer answered. first thing she said was how sorry she was to hear about Jaxx and knows this is a very hard process to go through. I thought wow what a difference from my last call. She proceeds to ask about him and assures me of how she will be with him From the moment I trust her to take him until the moment I receive him to take back home. I cannot explain the overwhelming comfort I had, and the weight lifted off my shoulders. She Waited almost 2 hours for us to get there and when we did, I knew fate stepped in. This was exactly where I was supposed to be, Jennifer was exactly who it was supposed to be, And Jaxx was going to be treated, respected and honored exactly how he deserved. The sitting area was beautiful the process of how I wanted to bring him home to our conversations, eased my tears. When Jennifer told me, she promised, he was in good hands, and she would make him feel comfortable, I believed every word with my heart and soul. She is truly meant to be doing this hard task of assuring families She will do right for them. Her genuine disposition allows you to see she is sincere, honest and trustworthy. Let me say that it was next to impossible to leave and leave my Jackie there, but looking back and knowing he was in the best hands was the only thing that kept my feet walking out the door. The stars had aligned and we were brought together to this moment and imprinted in time. I truly recommend you bring your loved ones to Jennifer where she will make your hardest moment The best process to honor and cherish them forever! Thank you, Jennifer There are no words to do justice of how appreciative I am you taking care of Jaxx and the relief I feel in my heart!

I never trusted anyone more with something so personal. We lost our first and only dog, Precious. She was around 16 years old, so naturally we did not know what to do when she passed. We didnāt know who to call or even search for. My dad called and got in contact with Jennifer. At first I was terrified and I thought I couldnāt trust anyone with my baby. Meeting with Jennifer and speaking with her immediately sent that paranoid thought away. She is so kind, understanding, and compassionate. She takes her time with every pet that comes her way. She is very reassuring and her work is something of an angelās. She was who I was hoping weād get in terms of taking care of Precious. Thank you Jennifer for taking the time and care for our baby. We are all so grateful to you and I know many other families feel the same way.

When moving back to Ohio, I made final arrangements for myself and decided to do the same for Juju, my fur baby (actually my grand-dogter). I highly recommend doing that so you donāt have to deal with answering questions and making decisions on that final day, which is stressful enough as it is.DeJohnās has a completely separate area at the back with its own parking and entrance. Those that Iāve met are very kind and patient and helpful. Plus thereās the added benefit of knowing that your pet will be cremated by itself and you will get their ashes which, to me, is not a small thing.

I learned of DeJohn's Pet Services several years ago and have been bringing my beloved fur angels there after they passed. Every pet owner knows how absolutely heart breaking it is to lose these treasured family members and, perhaps, your grief is not always understood by others. Jennifer at DeJohn's understands. I lost my beautiful cat, Jonah, on Dec. 4th and, as difficult as it was, Jennifer handled everything so compassionately. You are pressure-free to decide what you want and do not want as far as memorializing your pet. There is nothing that can alleviate your loss, but it is comforting to have someone and someplace that you can entrust them to when the time comes. Thank you Jennifer and DeJohns for this wonderful service.

Sherri showed the greatest care and compassion for my dog Sonny. She took great care in treating him with dignity and tenderness the whole time. It is a great comfort knowing he was well cared for on his way to the "Rainbow Bridge". He will be deeply missed and Sherri made it a little easier to bear. Thank You Sherri

I lost my best friend early Friday morning on August 25th. I was lost not knowing what direction to take and where to turn to assure she was laid to rest in the best way possible. I called DeJohnās services late that evening outside of business hours and Wendy called me back within.30 mins. She was so understanding and seemed genuine of my hurt and needs. I met with her on Monday along with Megan both of these beautiful kind hearted ladies changed my worse nightmare into a God sent experience. I will forever be so grateful for all they did to help me from my initial phone call to laying my Gia to rest and final day of picking up her remains. Iāll forever miss my baby Gia and Iāll never forget what she meant to me and all that Wendy and Megan did to help. I give 2 šš¾ās up and a definite 5 āļøās.

I lost Katt earlier this week and Sherri helped me through the grieving process. I first made contact with Sherri a month ago as Katt had cancer and was seriously thinking of putting her down but I was not sure if I was making the right decision. There is a review that says this is all about money, but Sherri never pressured me and actually gave me advice that made me look at other options for Katt.Weeks later Sherri called to check in and see how everything was doing. Katt was getting treatment but eventually started to get worse again. She stayed on the phone and listened to my fears, concerns and doubts. Make no mistake, of course this is a business but in front of that business is a woman that deeply cares about pets and ensuring you receive the best care possible.Earlier today I was able to finish saying goodbye to Katt and you know what Sherri said to me? If I need anything, to just call her. No strings attached and no pressure. She made such a positive impact on me and I hope she can do the same for you.If you read this and are struggling right now because of a loss or like me anticipating a future loss, please consider just calling Sherri. Maybe she can help you like she helped me.

I had the sweetest kindest lady to help our family out during a very sad time of having to take care of our dog Spicy. We could not have asked for better person to help us . Wendy is absolutely at the right place to doing an excellent job! She deserves a raise. There is no way I could do the job she does. Our family will never regret making the decision to go to DeJohn .

Sherry did a great job for us with all of the dogs we brought to her. She came highly recommended by my other dog friends. I was so sad to hear of the passing of this kind hearted woman who loved animals and people so very much. I am disappointed that she will not be there to help us again, but Iām sure DeJohn will be there for us today as we shepherd another treasured friend through this sad processI noticed that a lot of the bad reviews are from the same time period we were losing Sherry. Itās disappointing to see a little empathy towards her and her support team from the people she would have given her heart. Just putting this out there because Iām sure it was hard on the entire Dejohn staff to lose one of their own

I am a 2-war disabled combat vet a d had a gorgeous Irish Setter service dog for 12 yrs. I arranged for a vet to meet us at his favorite spot to run & relax, under a big willow tree next to a large pond. Wendy & Kathy from DeJohn's agreed to meet us there. As he crossed the bridge in my arms, I felt like my heart went too. I noticed they were crying too. I left my best friend in their care knowing from experience, he would be in good hands. When it was time for my Casey to come home, they did their usual incredible job of the clay prints of his nose & paws, plus ink prints of the same which they digitized on their file to hold for me. Casey's remains were placed in a beautiful blue bag & then in a nice cedar chest, along with a numbered coin that was processed with him. In a folder they presented me with a copy of Casey's "departure" over the rainbow bridge, ample clippings of his silky, red hair & other things to help during this time. I simply cannot recommend these ladies more highly. They truly made one of the worst days of my life into one that I was able to have nice memories of. I will always use them when it's time for one of my pet family members to cross the rainbow bridge. Thank you, ladies, for the dignity, compassion & for sharing my grief with me. I will always truly be thankful.

Losing my little girl tragically during her surgery was nothing short of devastating. I was still in shock when I called DeJohn Pet Services. Sherri showed compassion, sympathy, and patience as I explained to her what had happened to me. That same day, Sherri went above and beyond to comfort and accommodate my parents and me as she walked me though the arrangements she could provide for us. Never once did I feel uncomfortable, pressured, or not welcomed. Sherri truly is a blessing to both pets and pet parents. Although I'll never be able to replace my little girl, DeJohn Pet Services provided her with the appropriate ending she deserved in this life as she began her journey into Heaven. Thank you, Sherri, for being there for us.

We were lucky enough to find Sherri at DeJohn Pet services, and she really made the devastation of losing our pet much more bearable. She treated our CoCo with dignity and respect, the process was so much more than I ever expected, I really felt Sherri showed my dog the dignity she deserved. Sherri treated us with so much kindness and compassion, she offered great emotional support and she really is just so helpful. I cannot recommend this service at DeJohns and Sherri's kindness enough, from the moment you speak with Sherri you feel as though you've been longtime friends. The building is beautiful and there are many ways of memorializing your pet.

Georgia and Wendy were absolutely wonderful. The other gal there (forgot her name) was lovely too. They just need to answer the phone!! Had to call the human funeral home to get someone in the pet services. But overall, it was the best experience possible for the worst time ever in my life.

I had no idea that DeJohn Pet services even existed, until we lost our beloved Louis who passed away in his sleep. Our regular veterinarian office was closed and the doctor on call suggested them as an alternative. I only wish I knew about Sherri when we had lost our other little Frenchies. The caring and overall love for our little four legged children totally overwhelmed me. I only wish I had found her earlier. We ended up bringing our three little angels together again. Thank you Sherri for your outstanding compassion and thoughtfulness.

Words cannot express how wonderful Sherri was during this devastating time of losing our dog. Sherri is so kind, compassionate and loves animals ā¤ She takes the time to listen to you and provides many extras to the cremation. I would HIGHLY recommend her! I feel so fortunate to have found her.Sherri, I can't thank you enough for the service you provided and treating my, Ollie with such respect and dignityš you made this difficult process easier on us.

DeJohnās Pet Services and Sherri did a wonderful job after our dog Booga passed away. They were very caring, compassionate, and detailed. Sherri made us feel very comfortable. She followed all of our requests and did a great job creating wonderful keepsakes for us. We love the fur clippings, paw prints, and angel wings. Sherri even made sure that everything was ready for us to take home before the weekend, which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much for everything!

I lost my baby Bella suddenly. This was very heart breaking for us. I knew I couldnāt leave her at the vetās office & have them put her in a bag in the freezer waiting for someone to pick her up. I wanted to take her myself. We found DeJohn Pet Services. They took my call & within an hour I had Bella there & Sherri was so kind. She had a basket set up for me to place Bella in. I was able to sit with her as long as I needed. Sherri made sure we were informed on everything we could get & things I never would have thought of. She truly cares and you know that your baby is in a good care. Sherri made room in her schedule to let us come with an hoursā notice. I am grateful for all she did for our baby Bella. This is a wonderful place if you love your 4 legged baby as much as I did. Words cannot even begin to express the importance Sherri and DeJohn Pet Services played in the helping me with the passing of Bella. We happened upon DeJohn Pet Services & I am so glad we did. I feel guilty that I didnāt know about them for my other pets. They made us castings of Bellaās nose & paw. They gave us a fur clipping. Sherri also put a piece of our hair with Bella so she would not be alone & we would always be with her.DeJohn is the only place in this area that your pet/family member will be privately cremated. I canāt say enough of the things they will do for you. They treat them with such care.If you have a four foot that is your family & you want them treated the way you treated them & loved them then you need to call Sherri at DeJohn Pet Services.

I called DeJohn Pet Services after losing our sweet Evie, our little love, suddenly and unexpectedly when I was out of town. I was in anguish when I picked up the phone- I could not fathom completing cremation at the vet. To me, it was not befitting of the huge place she had in our lives- she deserved better. Sherri answered the phone. She listened to me cry, validated my experience, and supported me through my grief. She offered to take our Evie and give her the goodbye she deserves. She let me have time with her, to say goodbye in the way that I needed to. She just got it. She understood. In a time where it feels like youāre all alone, I wasnāt. I will never forget the love and support I felt from Sherri and DeJohn. I got to honor Evie and start the path toward acceptance that she is gone. Sherri was conscientious and giving from the start- with her time, her energy, and her compassion. She even made perfect ornaments and imprints, and gave us just enough fur to remember. We cannot thank her enough. If you feel the way I felt, go to Sherri and DeJohn. Your pet will be honored and you will be supported.

We recently had to make the sad decision to send our cat Alice over the rainbow bridge. It is important to our family that are animals are returned to us in a manner that allows us to bring them home so we can continue to love and honor them. I have never met anyone who cares more about this than Sherry at Dejohns pet center. From the moment you walk in you will be met with such warmth and care and dignity. Sherry met us with Alice with soft music, candles and a special bed for her to be laid into. Every aspect of this difficult time was met with such amazing respect and gracefulness by Sherry and DeJohns. it was so comforting to us. This was the fourth time we have used this wonderful service and we cannot say enough about their services, beautiful products that honor our fur babies and most especially Sherri's heart and respect for our time of grief of those magnificent creatures that we were honored to share our lives with.

I think a lot of people shy away at the thought of hearing about death. However, DeJohn Pet Services really honors your pet, and the life that you shared. They provide a beautiful service for your loved one, and it warms my heart to see such genuine compassion. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Sherri. She will take the time to get to know the relationship between you, your family, and your furry companion who has passed. Thank you so much for taking care of my sweet Cammy. Upon closing, Sherri had taken the time to console me, and strike up conversation to keep me company. It is that type of dedication that identifies a true pet lover. Thank you so much for offering such a beautiful pet service! If you live quite a distance away, it is worth the long drive to honor your furry comrade. Previously when a pet had passed, I had received a 'mixed bag of ashes' with a tin, and I will never allow my loved one to experience that again! DeJohn Pet Services replaced the 'tin can' with a gorgeous urn and a personalized name plate. They gave me samples of Cammy's fur, paw prints, and nose prints. Your pet was family, and deserves to be treated as such.

When our dog, Page, passed away, we were all stricken with grief. It was (and remains) a terrible loss for us, which is why we are so grateful to have found Sherri at DeJohn. She treated Page like the family member she was. Sherrie was respectful, empathetic, and just truly kind in helping us deal with our loss. She also provided us with so many wonderful ways to remember Page: paw prints, nose prints, hair clippings that look like little angel wings ... We are immensely grateful to Sherri for everything. Her love for animals is obvious, and she extended that love to our little dog as well.

I cannot say enough kind words about DeJohn Pet Services and the people that work there. This is the ONLY place to go when you suffer the loss of a pet. Sherri was incredibly kind, sensitive, respectful, and caring. She treated our beloved dog with the dignity and compassion that we longed for.

I am so grateful for Sherri DiPietroās compassion and patience during such a heartbreaking experience. It takes a special kind of person to be there during one's most difficult times and Sherri was a source of strength for mine. Understanding the importance your pet plays in your life, Sherri offered an abundance of kindness, sympathy, and respect. I appreciate every moment she gave to ensure my beloved dog was handled with dignity and properly memorialized. Her added touches of ink and clay prints of his paw and nose as well as the āangel wingsā from his fur were above and beyond and items I will cherish for years to come. DeJohnās celebrates family and I am thankful they include our furry, four-legged ones as well.

I lost two of my dogs, a brother and a sister within two months of each other at the age of 14. Sherri was incredibly kind, and thoughtful. She retrieved both of them from the vet for me and took the wonderful care of them. I wanted these two dogs to be treated with the dignity and care they deserved. She did just that. I can't express how easy she made this process for me, and I am grateful to her for what she did for both of them. I will most assuredly use these services with any future dog I loose. It was exceptional.

Sherri is absolutely amazing. She is so kind, caring, compassionate and really has a was of making you feel calm and trusting after losing your best friend. This was our second time going to her after losing our second boy and I am always blown away by how thoughtful she is and the amazing work she puts into taking care of your baby.

Losing our little girl Maddy in a short 11 years was unexpected and a very emotional time for me and my wife Cheri. Sherri made it so much easier for us not to have to worry that Maddy would be taken care of with the same love we gave her all the years of her life. Sherri also made us feel she understood and cared about our loss as much as we did. She called us numerous times to make sure we were doing well. She stayed with us during our visits with Maddy until we were ready to let her go to her final resting place. My wife and I can't say enough in appreciation of the compassionate way Sherri handled the service for Maddy and follow up with us.

We were so sad with the passing of our dog but felt refreshed when we came back in to pickup his ashes and with everything Sherri put together ā the paw/nose prints, picture frames, hair locks, etc.First of all a huge thank you to Sherri at DeJohn Pet Services for all that she does and for giving so much of herself every day. We would like to thank her for being there and being on top of everything at such a critical time in our lives. Her attention to detail and compassionate attitude are greatly appreciated and we found it refreshing to work with someone who is so passionate and detailed with their work. Obviously it is not usually planned when you will need their services, but they have great packages and everything there for you and your pet in your time of need. Paw prints, nose prints, Urns, river rocks, necklaces, etc. Also it is private cremation. It is hard to part with a loved one as we consider our pet a family member, but it is nice to have someone you can trust to help you carry out your final wishes. We would highly recommend Sherri and DeJohn Pet Services. We would give more than 5 stars for the Kind, Compassionate, and Personalized Service.

We took our dog, Scruffy, to DeJohn Pet Services on March 28, 2016, after he had passed away. Our veterinarian's office called Sherri and told her we were on our way with Scruffy and she waited after hours until we got to DeJohn's. We didn't know what to expect but Sherri was so patient and compassionate dealing with us and with Scruffy, we were truly comforted. Sherri had placed a small bed where we could lay Scruffy until arrangements were completed. We were allowed to stay as long as we needed and talk with Sherri about Scruffy and how much he meant to us. Sherri was caring and spoke to us patiently about all the options available for Scruffy. We would recommend using DeJohn's Pet Services to anyone who wants to have keepsakes of their pets. Sherri is very caring toward pets that have passed away and shows deep respect for them and their owners.

Sherri at Dejohn funeral home did a wonderful job caring for our sweet girl Gracie. She was very caring and listened to stories I had about my girl. She handled her body with great care and respect, she even stayed late so I could come pick up her ashes. The paw and nose prints are just beautiful. We will cherish them and are having necklaces made out of her ink prints. My mom loved the angel wings made out of her hair clippings. We loved Gracie so much that we decided to end her suffering from cancer instead of making her suffer because we were not ready to say goodbye. We would never of been ready, and I will never stop missing her. Dejohns funeral home made us feel comfortable that Gracie's body was respected in death just as much as she was loved in life.

Words can not even begin to express the importance Sherri, Jim, and DeJohn Pet Services played in the passing of our family member. Our dog, (hard to even call her that) Riley, passed the Saturday before Easter Sunday. We had decided in advance to have our Riley cremated, so that she would always be by our sides. However, the timing of losing her was not going to allow us to take her home the same day. We were told by countless cremation locations that she would need to be "dropped off" and "picked up a week later." We couldn't allow that. Could anyone allow that to happen to their family? We happened upon DeJohn Pet Services while frantically searching for a location that would respect her body to the standard of a human, and do it the same day - a weekend evening, no less. The ONLY place in the area that is capable of both - is DeJohn Pet Services. Sherri, on a Saturday, told us she would meet us there at 6pm. Grief-stricken, we arrived with Riley in sobbing tears. Sherri allowed us all the time we needed to wait for more family members to arrive and try to say our goodbyes. There was nothing more important to us than to STAY with our baby through every step of the process - just like she would have wanted in life. Sherri allowed us to stay next to Riley as she clipped her fur for us to have, prepared the cremation, and let us send her on her way by pressing the button - ourselves.DeJohn is the ONLY place in this area that your pet/family member will be privately cremated. This is the only place that will allow you to stay with them throughout the process. This is the only place that will treat them with the standard and care of a human - if not more.If you have an animal - that is your FAMILY member - that you want treated with the upmost dignity and love....go see Sherri at DeJohn Pet Services.

Many Thanks to Sherrie at DeJohn Pet Services! I unexpectedly lost my beloved cat Logan leaving me with a broken heart and in disbelief....Sherrie's love of animals really shows in the beautiful work she did for my Logan!!! So impressed with her professionalism and compassion during this most difficult time...I had purchased a memorial pet necklace some time ago for when the dreadful day came...I asked Sherrie if she would be able to put some of Logan's ashes in it for me.. without any hesitation, she said 'yes'.!!...Thank You so much for doing that because now I will always have him with me by my heart....Logan is finally back home with me and his other 4 legged brothers and sister, so all is good....though he is no longer here physically, he is in spirit and will always remain in my heart. Thanks again to Sherrie and DeJohn's for taking such good care of my baby!! God Bless you for everything you do and your compassion for animals!!!

DeJohn Pet Services and Sherri DiPietro deserve in excess of a five star rating for the exceptional kindness and compassion we were shown when we brought our beloved cat and family member, Draba, in to be cremated on December 18th. He passed following a three year battle with lymphosarcoma. Sherri treated us with extraordinary kindness, patience and understanding, above and beyond anything we had experienced before. She addressed all of our concerns and never made us feel hurried. Draba was handled with the utmost respect and dignity. He was placed in a cardboard cremation tray and wrapped in a shroud. We were allowed time alone with him to say our final goodbyes and pray over him.We found Sherriās calm demeanor very comforting. She explained everything and allowed us to observe through the viewing window. Being allowed to press the button to start the cremation process was also a very special privilege and meant a lot to us. She placed clippings of our hair next to his heart, joining a part of us forever with his remains. What a beautiful suggestion! We would have never thought of that.Sherri waited with us during the entire process. We shared pet stories while we waited for the cremation process to be complete. It helped us to remember the happy memories we had of Draba. We canāt overstate the importance of knowing we had all of Drabaās remains and only his remains, and that we were able to take them home with us that day. It was a tremendous comfort.Sherri is a great asset to this company. We hope she will continue in this ministry for many years to come. Someone as passionate as she is about helping families in such difficult circumstances must be very hard to find. Pet parents have a bond with their animals thatās as strong as any human relationship. Sherri was an absolute angel, and her kindness made the grief of losing our beloved friend more bearable.Itās very important to have access to quality end-of-life service for those of us who form such strong emotional bonds with our animals. We applaud DeJohn Pet Serviceās ability to provide this and we will always use them in the future as well as highly recommend them to others.

DeJohn Pet Services was there for my family in our time of need. When we lost our beloved lab, Spencer, we turned to them not knowing where else to go. Words alone cannot express the wonderful experience. I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Sherri was the best she took care of our dog Reggie of 18yrs with care and compassion. Not only was she very knowledgeable of the process she explained every detail in a clear and concise manner. She is definitely an extraordinary individual and showed concern and compassion during a period when we needed it.

I cannot express how kind and compassionate Sherri is, how much she helped us. We had our Precious for so long and we are devastated... Sherri will take good care of your beloved pet on their final journey. I can't write anymore because I'm still too upset; but if there was one google review I wish people would listen to it's this one.

Sue Rolik-Szalay ā 5 starI joined Facebook just to write this review. My husband & I were pet parents to Dahlia, our 4 legged Golden daughter that lived to 14 yrs of age. We had a vet come to the house to offer palliative care. Her name is Gretchen Kocher & I was so blessed that Sherri told me about her. When we new the day had arrived, Gretchen came to our home to euthanize Dahlia & DeJohn came to remove her from the home in a pet casket. As sad as it was, both services made us feel that she was not just a dog, but our baby & was treated with the utmost respect during & after her life. DeJohn has cared for 3 of our pets after they died and Sherri was put on this earth to do this job! I would NEVER consider having anyone else care for my pets after they die! She cut her pantaloon hair & tied it with a pink bow, made paw prints both on paper & an impression, nose prints & when we came to pick up Dahlia, Teardrop, & Georgie's ashes, she made such a beautiful, heartwarming presentation for us to receive our pets back after death. All I can say is "thank you" for everything. Sue & Mick Szalay

We had such a peaceful experience with Sherri at DeJohn Pet Cremation. She truly cares about every pet she takes into her care. She treated our Rommel with such kindness and respect. She even made his paw and nose prints for us. I can't say thank you enough. The Parker's Burton, Ohio

Jennifer took such loving care of our Buddy and helped get me through one of the hardest times of my life. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Krim O'Laughlin

Sherri is incredible! She goes above and beyond the call of duty in caring for our departed loved ones. When you want and need someone who truly cares and shows nothing but dignity, love and respect to the pets you loved so dearly, then DeJohn Pet Services is THE ONE!

The loss of a pet is always difficult, but DeJohn Pet Services makes after-care for a deceased pet a comforting, meaningful experience. Sherri treated our beloved cat Anara with so much affection and dignity, and as a fellow pet parent, truly empathized with our loss. When we arrived to pick up Anara after her cremation, Sherri had laid out a beautiful display with paw and nose prints, a sample of fur, Anara's urn, and her ashes in a lovely velvet bag. It is much easier to mourn our cat knowing she was taken care of by Sherri. Thank you SO much!

Sherri Dipietro answered the call when my son Dan's beloved Corgi died suddenly on a Sunday morning. She sat with us and invited Dan to talk about his lost buddy. She gently explained the options and the care that she would take with Tommy. She let Dan take his time in leaving Tommy with her-- ensconced in his own box with pillow and blanket. She even offered to put a clipping of Dan's hair in the box to be cremated with Tommy. She created beautiful paw and nose print memory pieces. She made a very difficult time just a little bit easier.
Erica Armstrong
Sherri DiPietro was exceptionally compassionate and caring in the preparation of our dearly loved and departed feline of 16 years. One may choose from a variety of thoughtful ways to memorialize a pet companion and no pressure was experienced during the choosing process for our companion. The service is very well run and professional.

I wanted to share my story, because the reviews were how I was convinced to bring my girl to DeJohnās Pet Services. My beautiful, loyal girl Misty was a fighter. However, at the age of 13 Ā½ she finally grew tired from all of her health issues. My heart finally agreed with my head that it was time to save her from suffering any further. She never left my side for 12 Ā½ years, and itās been very traumatic for me to lose her. I wanted to be able to take care of Misty to the very end. I found that our vet uses DeJohn Pet Services. I went to their website, and the awesome reviews convinced me that DeJohnās Pet Services would be where I would bring Misty. When I spoke to Sherri, I was so relieved and surprised when she assured me that she was available 24/7 and to call her when I needed her. I called Sherri the day my vet came to our home to let her know weād be bringing Misty to her that evening. I was amazed at how Sherri went above and beyond to treat Misty with dignity, and how much compassion she showed to us. Sherri puts her whole heart in to all the details. She prepared a bed for Misty lined with a feminine floral print, a pillow and a blanket. She had all the candles lit in the Rainbow Bridge room. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Sherri was so genuine and easy to talk to that I felt like I was talking to a friend. Sherri then told me that I could come the next day to visit Misty if I would like to. The next afternoon I had my own little private wake with my beloved dog. Again, Sherri had all the candles lit. She encouraged me to talk about Misty and was so genuine wanting to hear stories and see pictures. She walked over to Misty and petted her and told Misty āNow I feel like I know you since your mom has told me all about you.ā I showed her Mistyās tail where I braided my hair into her tail fur with a pink ribbon. I told her that I got that idea from one of the reviews I saw where she had suggested it to someone. It was a way to be with my dog even through cremation. Sherri explained that Iād be able to keep Mistyās cremation id tag. I now have it on a chain along with a vile of some of her ashes. She also explained that she likes to have something to cover pets as they are cremated so I brought a flannel sheet from home with a pretty floral pattern for Misty. I ordered a ābuddyā which is a pendant with a yin/yang symbol with Mistyās paw print on one side and my thumb print on the other and an inscription on the back. I also ordered the river rock which now sits in a large pot of flowers near our horse barn gate where Misty always used to lay to wait for me while I cleaned stalls. Mistyās ashes are in a beautiful navy velvet bag. On the bag is stitched in gold thread āuntil we meet again at the rainbow bridge.ā Itās comforting to hold so it hasnāt made it in to her urn yet. They also provide you with a beautiful certificate. Sherri made both ink prints and clay molds of Mistyās nose and paw. She also made beautiful āangelās wingsā out of her fur. She had placed it all in a beautiful display for me when I arrived to see Misty one last time. Sherri is amazing. She has a special gift to be able to do what she does. Itās so obvious how passionate she is about what she does. I was amazed to find out that she does it ALL; even the cremation. It was so comforting to know that Misty was lovingly, and respectfully taken care of the whole way; even to (per Sherri) ātuck her inā the night we left her there. She puts 110% towards everything she does. I donāt know how she does it. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to bring my Misty to someone who cares so much. I feel as though Iāve gained a friend, and itās comforting to know that I now have a wonderful place to bring my dogs after they have passed on. Thank you to DeJohnās for offering this service for our beloved pets, but thank you especially to Sherri for all that she does and for the kind, genuine, and compassionate person that she is.

My ferret passed away on a Friday night. I was distraught and the thought of leaving him in the fridge or freezer over the weekend was just plain devastating. I called several 24 hour services with no reply. Then Gabriel from De John called me back. The process was amazing from the initial dropping of my dude to the final pick up of his name plate. The fact he called back early on a saturday morning and was there to meet us was so settling. Thank you to all and Gabriel you sir are a true amazing person to deal with. I hope its a long time before I see you again but I will not deal with anybody again in this service. Thank you...Thank you...Thank you

Our beloved pet Lita died at home on Saturday evening and we didnāt know what to do. I went on the computer to search and there was my answer Dejohn Pet Services. I called and Sherri Dipietro with DeJohn Pet Services met us at Dejohn Pet services within the hour. She had a doggie casket filled with blankets and pillows for our beloved Lita. She took care of her like she was her own and also cared for us during this painful time. My daughter was sick when we got Lita and while my daughter was healing Lita was her faithful companion all her life. Sherri was so understanding and calming that night that helped us in our time of sadness. Upon picking her up, Sherri had made āangel wingsā for us out of Litaās fur and paw/nose prints out of clay. I have forever found a special place in my heart for Sherri and I want others to as well some day. I did not know that this wonderful place for our pets even existed and I want to get the word out to let others know. Again I want to say THANK YOU SHERRI for your understanding and caring for our Lita and for us that night.

A few days ago, we lost our dearly beloved pet named Marlow. Very traumatic experience paired with an outrageous, horrible customer service, lack of compassion, quality care, and even basic emotion presented by the employees of Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Cleveland, left us in pieces. While in the process, facing an outmost difficult decision and agonizing knowledge of what comes next - death of the baby, we tried to think ahead. We googled pet cremation services, as in the past, we had a very dignified experience with Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation Place in PA. Living in the Greater Cleveland Area, we found a list of business names, including DeJohn Pet Services.First thing that jumped at us was 100% positive Google reviews, and it mattered, because being emotional, tired and devastated, the last thing we wanted was to leave multiple messages, during holiday weekend, on somebody's cell phone, hoping for a call back. You know, we made a right choice. From making changes in her holiday schedule, to meeting us in late hours that night, followed by spending time sharing our pain and showing so much compassion that we have not seen even from many of our close friends, FB friends and family members, we got it all - care, sadness, compassion, and sense of security. We do not know how to describe the "security part", but in 10 years of having Marlow, we can count times, when he was not in our care - it never was the case, so this time it was different. It was brutal, painful, ugly, devastating loss, which Sherri O'Connell DiPietro made better for us.It is not the splendor of the facility, or availability of tokens one can have, it is this feeling that somebody truly cares and for whatever it is worth, you know that your baby is in a good care.We have not felt that anything we said or placed with our baby was out of place or "not allowed". It was our baby, and us caring for him that much was perfectly fine.Sherri exceeded our expectations by following up on us, and even making room in her schedule to let us come and visit our baby one final time. It may sound strange to some people, but it was a very important step for us, as we were able to bring our other furry babies and spend some time together. Time that we spent was sad, bitter-sweet, but very much needed.I am grateful for all she did for our baby, as so many "good and real life friends" extended their "sorry" as far as "liking a tragic post or making some generic comments" on FB page. We could understand it with long-distant people, but not with close circle. In comparison, this woman has a heart and a quality place (facility) for one to get some form of closure in that stage of their pet loss grieving process.Thank you,Svetlana & Mario Ruggeri

The service provided by DeJohn Pet Service is first rate, I would not hesitate recommending them to our friends who have pets. A special thank you to Sherri, who was very sincere and helpful in this process and helped us through our grief.

The woman I dealt with lied to me when we consulted. When I came to pick up my cat's ashes they were "out of urns and they were back ordered". Also the supposed casts of my cat's prints "hadn't set right". Well, thats too bad considering they can't recast her prints now that she's cremated. Overall an expensive experience just to be cheated

This was a sad day losing Milo, our beloved cat, but Sherri was amazing. You can tell she really cares about what she does and that your animal will be treated as family.

Unbelievably kind and compassionate. I cannot express how much she did for us. She really went above and beyond. She helped give us everything we'd need to help keep her memory alive. She gave us things that were not part of a 'package' that are beautiful keepsakes. A real loving environment.
