His facility offers a large space for visitation, complete with multiple rooms, couches, chairs, and a large dining table. Guests are provided a selection of beverages and light refreshments during visitation. Jeff prepares a photo/video slideshow, even spending time considering such details as which music would best fit the personality of the decedent. Also, pricing is hands-down the most reasonable you will find. All of the above mentioned services (and more!) are included in his posted package prices, so you receive the best services without any upsells. I'd recommend Scheutz to anyone looking have a very nice service to honor a loved one without breaking the bank.

Jeff has served our family three times since 2015 and I am forever thankful he is the best funeral director in this area he made a very difficult time much easier and I would gladly recommend him to anybody thank you very much for taking care of our loved ones and our family

Most people choose this funeral home because he has the lowest prices. I chose Jeffrey because he is a wonderful human being. I could have chosen anywhere and I chose him. He did everything I asked and then some, exactly how I wanted it. Planning my Mother's funeral wasn't as hard on me as I expected but only because of Jeffrey and his compassion and humor. We spent at least 3 hours on the phone (2 different occasions) and he had me laughing and crying at the same time. I couldn't have asked for a better day under the circumstances. Thank you Schuetz Funeral Home for taking care of me and my momma. Thank you to Cookie, his assistant for her compassion and all her help as well.

I was in shock when my Mom passed away. It was unexpected and I was clearly in shock. Jeff drove all the way to Chicago Illnois to get her and bring her home to Mingo Junction, Ohio. Not only did he handle the arrangements, he also took care of the unexpected situations that would come up. Our original place to gather after the service, DENIED us. It was so heartbreaking as we had no where to go. He offered his place for us to go and have our luncheon! At a time that I was losing faith, he restored it in me.7 Months later, my Husband of 31 years died. I remember calling Jeff, hysterical, he immediately came to my rescue, again!! His staff did everything and more.Kind, considerate, professional, and most of all, empathetic. That's how I would describe Jeff at Schuetz funeral home.

My family has used them two times in the last couple of years. Jeff heard me talking to my family about getting some Downtown Pizza afterwards. He then comes walking in the room with a tray of pizza and it just made everyone’s day. I can’t imagine getting better service anywhere else.

First time I ever had to do this he was so helpful and such a sweet human being he even cut a few pieces of his brownies he made a gave it to us very reasonable prices I would pay more just to have good service

The funeral home went above and beyond for my family. Jeffrey was so professional and comforting during this hard time when I lost my dad. He kept me updated on the whole process and allowed me to be as involved as possible. The funeral home was so clean and beautiful and the staff were just so nice. If I had any questions at all no matter what time it was he always called or sent a text back. I would recommend for everyone to send their loved ones there because he is one of the best and has the most affordable prices. I honestly couldn’t have done this without Jeffrey.

I had a friend of 30+ years pass away unexpectedly. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the services on account of a mandatory meeting at work. Jeff was able to work with me around my schedule for me to say goodbye. Thank you again Jeff. You don't know what your kindness meant to me!

Really enjoyed working with Jeff when my sister-in-law passed. We had her ashes within 3 days primarily because Jeff uses a local cremation company.
