Iâm just going to stick to the straight facts with this âbusinessâ. I took my puppy here to recieve shots. Upon getting in the office we waited about 45 mins for a quote which was over $700 for 3 visits plus shots. (They sneak in little optional things you have to ask to be removed which was $148 in total) I prepaid for all appointments and recieved a 10 percent discount. I scheduled for his next set of shots and when I showed up the doors were locked. We called and they informed us thereâsystems were downâ and couldnât see our puppy. Which was actually them violating their own cancellation policy! When I inquired about them not calling to inform us and to let them know itâs an hour and 20 mins round trip I was rudely put on hold with no warning. After holding a few minutes I called back another employee picked up and I told them the situation with being hung up on she said they would call back to reschedule as soon as the system was up. A day later 6 phone calls and a email I finally got ahold of someone. They were arrogant and acted like we had done something to them. No apologies for the wasted time or unprofessional employees. No resolution for what had happened. Then I started to read there reviews and seen this is an ongoing problem and I neglected to see prior. Every bad review they recieve the response is arrogant. I would go as far to say they have never been wrong⊠about anythingâŠ.. They challenge customers in reviews and down play the employees actions⊠even as far as assaulting a customer. Or they will say there is no record of your animal. Also note if something happens to you or your animal their cameras wonât be working that day as other reviews have said. Going on today I picked up my refund which they made me jump through hoops to get since I paid in cash. I was given 20 min windows at odd hours I could pick up a check. Upon picking up the check they acted like they had never seen me. The owner wrote the check and never even talked to me. Which shows me they did nothing wrong in her mind. Then after going back to my car I had an employee knocking on my window demanding to know the amount of the check she just gave meâŠ. They were looking for a reaction and for confrontation and was disappointed they didnât get it. This place is a overpriced joke! And the owner will be upset when the employees and her ego drives this business in the ground. You wouldnât stay at a 3 star hotel would you? Then please donât make my mistake and take your dog to 3 star vet!

(2022)Update! We've now added a new addition to our family! A German Shepherd pup we named Shoto. We stayed with West Chester Veterinary Center. It's hard to find people who genuinely care about the patients as much as they do. Not only are they very clean, but they ALWAYS go through each and every single step with you all the way from vaccines to more serious issues that require more care. They also do exotics, which is good to know if you have them. Their gentle demeanor and caring staff make this place well worth it.(2020)Wow! I'm so impressed by this clinic and absolute AMAZING staff. They have been extremely professional and genuinely caring at every appointment!Dr. Mary also did an absolute stellar job at draining an abscess on my dog's jaw line, which is quite the accomplishment since he's a very large, timid boy around others. If you're looking for people who truly care about your pet, this is the place for you!

The West Chester Veterinary Care Center has a remarkable staff who strive to meet the needs of you and your pet(s).About a week ago I called to schedule an appointment for three kittens and they were able to squeeze me in for a visit within the hour of my call. The appointment only took about 10 minutes and I was able to receive the check up for free since it was my first visit. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and continue to check up on my kittens. I will definitely be going back and I recommend this care center to any pet owner!

Iâve taken my pups to multiple vets and this one was the worst. Itâs SUPER overpriced compared to other vets. I ordered my dog meds and they never came and they refunded me ONLY for the meds and not the shipping I paid. Felt like they were totally incompetent when trying to talk to resolve anything with anyone here.

Cannot recommend more. I needed a vaccine updated for my pup who needed last minute boarding so I could travel with my small children out of state. I called on a Saturday and they got us in the very next morning first thing at 10am (had same day available as well!). I asked for help getting my dog inside as my kids were with me and they did just that! Within a few minutes of me texting my arrival, a super sweet tech came to get my anxious dog. I warned her that she may have trouble getting her in due to her fear of new buildings and people/doorways. GUYS. She went RIGHT IN, tail wagging! Unheard of for my rescue of 5 years! She was done with her examination, vaccine, and nail trim in under 20 minutes! The vet called me and asked if I knew about some ongoing skin tags, other observations sheâd made, and made sure everything I asked was completed. Super thorough and kind! I have switched full care to this center after our amazing experience.

I've been a loyal customer for at least 8 years with several dogs. They are expensive but I never feel pressured to buy anything I dont want so I deal with the pricing. They are also willing to write prescriptions for flea and tick medicine that you can get online for half the price. However, it's nearly April 2022 and they are still on COVID restrictions where carside service is all that is offered. You literally cannot walk inside with your dog. Super disappointing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and veternarian. First puppy visit and Ericka the technician was very friendly and thorough with all the knowledge. Dr Bonner was very good and nice and could tell she really cared about your dog. Explained all that was needed and why. Answered all our questions too. Horrible customer service. Were incredibly rude and disregarded my concerns for my pets cough when I called in. Told me that the medication wouldn't work unless I gave it to him (duh) after I had shared that I had given it to him but was simply asking if it was normal for his cough to sound the way it did and if I should be concerned. Was never given an answer on if/when I should worry and ended up calling an emergency vet who was willing to listen to the cough over the phone and tell me if I should be concerned. Was told during my first visit with them that the tighter test was optional for my puppy and then was told by the vet the following visit that he "had" to get it. Suddenly a $100 blood test was no longer optional? I started taking him to a new vet and the prices are much cheaper and the service is much better. They shared that the tighter test is really only necessary when you don't plan to keep up with vaccinations. Ended up canceling my puppies neuter appointment with West Chester Veterinary Center because my new vet will be $200 cheaper and they seem to actually care about the health and wellbeing of my pet.

I recently moved to this area summer of last year and had to find a new vet for my 11 year old miniature doxin. He is very, very important to me and has had a few health issues in the past that make him a tad delicate (to me anyway). After using my previous vet for 10 years, I was very nervous and reluctant to find a new vet, and needed up choosing this one after looking at several places. In the 6 months Iâve been here, Iâve had to take my pup to this vet several times for general check ups, nail clippings and different bloodwork for a new medication heâs on. Iâm also getting his teeth cleaned next month - Iâve been here a lot.I literally could not be happier with how this vet treats me and my dog each visit. If I had a magic wand and could wave it, thereâs nothing I would change. They treat him like royalty, respect all my wishes how to handle him, and are very thorough and detailed with everything they do.The doc that has been looking over him will answer every one of my million questions with absolute patience, never rushes me to leave and even has called me on the weekends to give me updates on his blood work.I am the picture perfect definition of a helicopter parent with my dog and am very nervous trusting anyone with him, but not here. I would recommend this place to anyone that would listen, and feel very fortunate I found them.

This place is terrible. Only reason I went was because I got both of my little dogs from Your New Puppy and they recommended them. They are extremely overpriced. My first time owning dogs and I was stupid and didn't do my research. They are by far the most expensive Vet around. Their staff and even the Vet are not personable at all. They definitely make you feel like they only care about money. Tried to get my dog spayed twice, first time her levels weren't right (ok) but then the second time they called at 2pm and said their tech had to go home so they werent going to do it (?).... when I expressed frustration she fired me as a patient. Ive spent on the upwards of 1500$ in the last year on my 2 new puppies here and thats how they treat their customers. As soon as I got off the phone I called Miamitown Animal Clinic they got me in next week for seriously a quarter of what this place costs. I understand they say you get what you pay for but not with this place. Wish I would have read the reviews on this place first. Don't make my mistake. Literally go anywhere else.

I've used WCVC for all of my animals -- they've taken care of us from new pet to end-of-life, seen us for regular annual checkups and gotten us in for short-notice emergencies. I've always been satisfied with the care we've received from the staff and am grateful for all they've done for us over the years. I highly recommend them.

Extremely competent and caring veterinarians. The center provides not only excellent medical care, but also top-quality boarding. I have taken my dogs to vets there since the center opened and recommend it highly.

All of the staff here are great. Have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy. They are so loving and very informative. Great with cats as well! We have also boarded our dog here numerous times and had great experiences!!

We came here with our new puppy to get a check up. They did a great job, identified a few problems for us and the prices are reasonably low. The service was great! you don't even have to leave your car! Which is a blessing in these upcoming winter months. These people aren't just pet friendly they are people friendly too. I personally like how they call and follow up with you and ask if you have any questions. I also enjoy how easy it is to make an appointment.

When my 2-year-old dog ate a packet of rat poison on a Saturday afternoon, I immediately rushed to Google to find a veterinarian that was open. I was fortunate enough to discover West Chester Veterinary Center and called them. I was told to rush in, skip the front desk, and get my dog straight to the vet. When I arrived, Tracey at the front desk knew my situation and immediately got my dog into the hands of the experts. Iâm thrilled to report that my dogâs treatment regimen was spot-on and that she suffered no ill effects whatsoever. The cost of her care was quite reasonable and I can report that I have found a new Veterinary Center for all our future needs!

Dr. Malcom and the West Chester Veterinary Center team are great with my Havanese Jaxon and Havapoo Elliot! They are extremely attentive, patient, informative and always make the experience enjoyable. Jaxon is reactive and the team is so kind and sweet with him. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vet in the West Chester/Liberty Township area!

They have always thoroughly explained any issues that our Tink may have and a plan for her to improve and maintain her health. The entire staff demonstrate a genuine concern for the well being of our very loved âpuppyâ.

West Chester Vet Center is absolutely amazing! All of my animals come here, from our family's four dogs to my rabbits and even my geckos. All of the vets are so attentive and thorough with everything that they do. Dr. Mary has treated all of my exotic pets and several of my friends' as well. I trust every one of their staff with any and all of my babies. They're always willing to educate clients and answer any questions.

We love Dr. Krendl and the entire staff! Due to the military we have moved alot, and she especially is our favorite veterinarian. She is so passionate and knowledgeable. Our labs both have hip dysplasia and Dr. Krendl has been amazing with them. Thanks!

Dr.Ysabel Wright is an excellent, kindhearted professional. My experience with her and the staff at West Chester Veterinary Center was amazing! She took great care of our dog and was always attentive to our needs. I highly recommend her, and everyone at this office! Your pets will be well loved and handled with quality care here.

Use to be a great Veterinary Center but has went down hill in the last year I would not recommend this place to anyone Very unprofessional and rude to their Customers. This place is more worried about making money off of your pet than being concerned of the conditions that you brought your pet in for trying to up sell you on other things that is not even the reason for your visit. I received a letter in the mail that I was fired as a customer after I already told them that I wanted the medical records for my animal because I would not be back to this so called Veterinary Center after the way that my wife and I as well as my dog was treated. They are alot of lack of communication that goes on there which is concerning because you don't know how they are treating your beloved pet
John Canafax (Jaycee)
Had me drive an hour get a truck to pick up a fish tank and gotvrid of it before I got there after driving an hour. Very unprofessional and if they flake on ppl idk if id trust them caring for my animals. Just a word of warning before you waste time goin to this place

Our various pets are so grateful that we found West Chester Veterinary Center for their care. Recently one of our cats, a feral yellow/orange/white female became ill. Sadly, we learned her illness would take her life. Dr. Karla Blackmore and the entire staff helped us through this terrible time with great tenderness and care. They truly understood our distress. Tenderly, Dr. Blackmore explained Timi's situation and prognosis. They're thorough, considerate and have the pets welfare top of mind. It's clear that they love animals.

I have been taking both of my French bulldogs here for the last year. After noticing one of them starting to look like she was loosing weight I decided to take her in for a checkup. I took her to be seen 3 weeks ago. I told them I was concerned with weight loss and they assured me they would run fecal tests and do an exam to see what was going on. The fecal test came back negative, the vet told me overall she looked very healthy and she was at a great weight for her size. I went over a daily schedule with her for my pups and told her how much food I was feeding them. She told me that she feels as if people are used to seeing animals overweight so when they are healthy they appear to be sick. The doctor did make me feel confident in my pups health. Right before leaving, they told me that my dog was not up to date on her shots and needed leptospirosis vaccine that comes in two parts. I was quite surprised that she wasnât up to date because I felt as if I kept up with all appointments but I trusted the vet as I have many times before. Because it was 2 parts she told me before I left I needed to schedule the follow up for part 2, 3 weeks later. Today my husband takes our dog to get the part 2 of the leptospirosis vaccine. I accompanied him via FaceTime. The first thing the doctor said to him when she walked in was that they made a mistake and she actually did not need to be seen because she didnât need the vaccine. Even though he was upset about time being wasted, he confirmed that the vet was not worried about her weight and she overall looked healthy. The vet informed him that there was a more extensive fecal test that could be ran but they didnât give us that option the first time because âpet land wonât pay for itâ fyi- we did not get our dog from petland and sheâs 2 years old so that didnât even make sense. At that point he did not feel comfortable because he felt like we were lied to multiple times. Clearly we did not have a reason to be there and was ready to leave. The vet informed him that we would only be charged half of a normal visit because of THEIR mistake. He told her we did not feel like we should be charged anything for their mistake. She said to give her a few minutes and sheâd be back. She walked out and a different woman came back in and said we had to pay for a full visit because my husband spoke the the doctor and he has to pay for her time. He clearly explained we wouldnât have had the appointment if they didnât tell us we had to for the vaccine. She then told my husband that if we did not pay the full visit price the bill would be left on our account and they would not see us again. We did not pay and we are very disappointed in how we were treated today. We would not recommend this vet to anyone. They are not trustworthy.

Stevie Kremer
Extremely competent and caring veterinarians. The center provides not only excellent medical care, but also top-quality boarding. I have taken my dogs to vets there since the center opened and recommend it highly.

All of the staff here are great. Have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy. They are so loving and very informative. Great with cats as well! We have also boarded our dog here numerous times and had great experiences!!
Brittney Starke
We came here with our new puppy to get a check up. They did a great job, identified a few problems for us and the prices are reasonably low. The service was great! you don't even have to leave your car! Which is a blessing in these upcoming winter months. These people aren't just pet friendly they are people friendly too. I personally like how they call and follow up with you and ask if you have any questions. I also enjoy how easy it is to make an appointment.

I rescued a kitten on the side of the road, and I was so thankful West Chester Vet Center was able to see her on a Sunday. Everyone was so kind and helpful to give this kitten a fighting chance. Thanks!

My dog was Neutered at this facility and my daughter told them that she didn't want to have the dogs teeth removed at the time. They came out to the car and the tech said okay I will circle it to take it off. They took his teeth out anyway. They saw in the notes from previous that she also stated she wasn't going to have them removed at the time because all I had was 350. They called with a 500 dollar bill for my dog and everyone stated that they did what was best for my dog but I was paying the bill. Upon going back and forth with them I discovered that they were charging me for the dog being Neutered and it was paid for already by the seller of the dog. The doctor knew that previously we did everything recommended but seeing how we have spent more than 5 thousand dollars to keep him alive. We have to prioritize certain things. We asked for his medical records and left the practice. The irony is they recently sent a letter dropping my puppy after we had already left. I wouldn't recommend this place. I am in the process of reporting them because they performed several procedures on my dog without my consent. I am the only legal owner and they're holding up my medical claims for failure to submit information.

We started with this practice on the second day we brought our new puppy, Winston, home more than two years ago. As a first time dog owner, they made me feel confident that he was well taken care of. When we got a second dog, Jet, a year later, they welcomed him with open arms as well. We've always received good care (everything from basic exams/shots through neutering surgery). We've used the center's grooming and boarding services as well - very happy with everything! The staff is always friendly and the doctors treat our dogs with care and respect.

I recently got a new puppy while visiting family in Ohio and West Chester Veterinary Center was recommended by the place that he was purchased from. I could not have been happier than I was here starting from the person who made the appointment, the vet tech and the veterinarian! They were all very welcoming and helpful and just absolutely wonderful! They truly made you feel like family â€

Service isnât bad, and the people there are very kind to my dog, but is so extremely overpriced. Cost almost $600 for spayed appointment, even with the removal of a few other items. Had I not requested them to be not added, bill would have been about $900-$1000. Was told PetLand was going to pay for everything except the anesthesia, but was lied to. I do not recommend going to this place at at all, and had I known what I know now I wouldnât have even bothered with this place. Personally wished I went to Friendtown clinic. This place is a money eater and only cares about making more money. There are items that they required for the surgery that I could have bought for a cheaper price and more quantity off of Temu. This place is a joke. Would not recommend.

It's been two weeks since we lost our beautiful and very loved Milo â€. We want to thank the Veterinary Team at West Chester Veterinary Center for the kindness and compassion they showed to Milo and our family during one the hardest moments a family goes through when a fur baby becomes unexpectedly sick and passes away. We highly recommend their services for your healthy pet or your pet who needs emergency care. â€

DO NOT COME HERE, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Zero care at all for the wellbeing of your pets. I brought my cat in for a skin condition on her chin, and the first appointment seemed to go alright. We made a plan of care, but the medication they wanted to prescribe was on backorder. I told them I'd wait for it to be restocked. Fast forward to the day I go to pick up the medication. They tell me those wipes are no longer being manufactured, but that they had a substitute. They brought out a spray, but when I read the bottle, it said for use on dogs only. I asked about it, the tech assured me it was fine, so I asked why it said it was only for dogs if it is also for cats. She went to ask the vet, and came out with a different medication. Come to find out via my own research, the spray they gave me originally can be toxic to cats. So had I trusted this vet to do their job correctly instead of checking the label myself, my cat could have been poisoned. After taking back the spray, the tech gave me some medicated wipes to use but never gave me the instructions on how to use them. I've been using the wipes and the condition just keeps getting worse. I've been trying to get clarification for 3 days now, calling multiple times. Even though every time I called, they said they would have the vet call me, I still couldn't get ahold someone that knows what's going on. Meanwhile my cat is suffering, walking in circles around my house yowling in pain because this heartless excuse of a practice can't make a simple phone call. I had to drive over there to get some answers after being told repeatedly for days that I would receive a phone call. This place is falling apart at the seams. None of the employees communicate with one another, no one ever knows what's going on, they give you medication that can poison your pet, they fail to give proper instructions on treatments, then when you try and follow up for clarification they ignore you. The vet as a person seems alright, but the staff that are there to support them are failing them in every way possible. Please please please don't bring your pets here.

Never go here. I was charged for a service without being told, and when I complained about it, the employee called my wife a liar. Then called me and my family another name for female dog. She also came out into the parking lot and smacked me repeatedly, and kicked my car 3 times. Huh, but apparently, their camera doesn't work outside when the video is subpoenaed. So if Keendra is still still working there. You're taking your animal to a clinic with an assailant working the front desk. Stay far away from these greedy hood rats.

Unfortunately, you cannot give a business 0 stars. We have been very loyal customers for the last 6 years. Throughout this time, I have become wary of the vet for a variety of reasons, from high prices to questionable recommendations, to an overall feeling that our pet's best interest was not their priority; recently, all of these things were confirmed once and for all.On a Friday at 4pm (they close at 6pm), our small dog got into brownies. When I found him, I called the vet immediately, only to find that their phone number was not working. Knowing the urgency with chocolate ingestion, I drove to the vet with the dog. I explained what had happened, and after making me wait 15 minutes, they told me they were too booked and would need me to go to medvet emergency. I could not believe my ears. At this point, it had been > 40 minutes since the ingestion, and they were recommending I go ~45 minutes away. FYI, when I called medvet, they instructed me to induce vomiting from home (because they are a legitimate vet, whose first priority is your pet's health).West Chester Vet Center cares about one thing: collecting your money. They do not care about your pet. Avoid this business.

This vet clinic is AWFUL! Do NOT take your pets here! They charge way too much money for a simple checkup and have the worst grooming I have ever seen. I dropped off my dog for grooming and called because he was there for 7 hours, which is a ridiculous amount of time to take to groom a non-shedding dog. When I called, the groomer told me that he was the second dog in line and that they haven't even started on him yet. That was the last straw for me, and I will never go back to this place. They also charge $60 for a simple checkup which is outrageous and the vets have no idea what they are going. I took my dog in because he had severe allergies and instead of giving me medication, they simply told me to "change his diet." Would NOT recommend this vet. We also had to wait 30 minutes even though we made an appointment a week in advance. Pure incompetence. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

Took my rabbits here and they did so good! the staff was very caring for my bunnies and made us feel very welcome here. I also board my dog here when i am on vacation and the boarding staff is so sweet and caring. love this place so much!!

I called in to have my shepsky neutered and the receptionist told me around $600 over the phone and asked for a $50 deposit to hold my spot I then got sent an itemized estimate the following day stating it was $900-$1100 well above the initial quote verbally given to me over the phone. I call in and asked if I can just have my $50 refunded back minus any fees and theyâre refusing to give me my money back. This veterinary center is HIGHLY overpriced and the staff is extremely arrogant and very egotistical. I would highly recommend calling around and getting other quotes before considering putting any deposits with this company.

We only had a couple visits that seemed to be informative although we were suspicious of their claim to disinfect after every pet. There was black dog hair all over the floor and chairs we sat on. We decided to never go back after they broke their own policy of notification of an appointment cancellation. My daughter made a 40 minute round trip but they cancelled her appointment without notice. If they are not caring, respectful and courteous to humans, I suspect they do not have those qualities for animals.
Jayne Stegeman
We have been there several times. We have used all your services---boarding, grooming and vet visits. We have always received excellent. care. Our dog Shadow completely loves you, even when we pass the building she gets excited--pacing back and forth in the back seat and wagging her tail. We have never felt rush. They completely explain treatment before and during and offer suggestions. I am so glad that we found you. Please keep up the good work. Thanks so much for caring for our Shadow!

My cats have both seen Dr Blackmore for routine care and she has always been excellent - kind and understanding - but this review is for the boarding services. Our cat experienced a major medical event two days before we were going to go out of town. He is already a medically complicated cat who has been surviving with cancer for two years. We took him to the emergency vet and they hospitalized him. We knew he would come out on various medications but we did not want to disappoint our kids and cancel their Vacation. We had just had to put our other cat down due to age. Emotions were high.West Chester stepped up. A dear friend offered to pick our cat Angus up at Medvet and transport him to West Chester who agreed who to care for him and administered any meds that Medvet discharged him home with. He received excellent care. I called for updates and Felt that I was not a burden for my inquiry.Price was extremely affordable. He is home today and he looks SO good. He was so well cared for. He had several meds that Had to be given. I just can not say enough about how grateful I am for this service. Weâve always had friends and family watch our cats when we go out of town but these circumstances were a bit much to leave a friend responsible for.A+++ for this practice.

West Chester Vet Center is my favorite!Iâve been to so many places over the years and resorted to the emergency vet most of the time because I could not find someone I could rely on to be honest or show genuine care for my babies. I finally tried West Chester Vet and I couldnât be happier. Iâve had many surgeries for one of my dogs and they are always caring and upfront about all cost and even look out for me on ways to save. I always get a call from the doctor personally which is really assuring and shows thereâs genuine care. I think no matter where I live I will always come to you for my routine care needs. I canât thank everyone enough.EVERY person has always been so kind and it means the world to me and my babies! Thank you WCVC!

I took my puppy Josie to see West Chester Vet Center many times. In the beginning when they were just giving her her puppy shots, everything was fine. However, when we started having some health issues they didn't seem interested in finding out what was wrong. I took her to the office three times this summer and complained every time regarding her continued runny nose. At no point did they develop a plan to figure it out or even follow up to see if what they suggested worked. They acted as if they were annoyed when I called them. As if they were saying to themselves, "It's Josie's mom, again".You will spend most of your time with the vet techs, they charge more than other vets, they don't care to figure out what the issue is when you're dog is sick, and they only want to really do new puppy shots. Once the puppy shots are finished their level of care is zero.I strongly urge you to find a different vet. Mason Family Pet on Reading Rd is my new vet and they are wonderful. I highly recommend them.

We took our Great Pyrenees to West Chester Veterinary Center on a Sunday afternoon (during Covid restrictions) and were very pleased with their service. Sassy was taken inside and examined in a timely manner. A Vet Tech came outside to explain Sassy's situation and asked for permission to treat. The pricing was very reasonable, especially since it was a Sunday, and we were very pleased with the care. I highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital, even though I'm not a regular client.

What can I say! They are amazing! They have some of the nicest receptionist, their techs are incredible, and the Drs well they are wonderful especially Dr Mary! They clinic Chihuahua running around is adorable! You can tell the staff here truly loves animals, and they all love their jobs. And all of that shows in the care and service they provide.

Really disappointed with our experience. We had used this place in the past to board our dog with no issue. We booked him in again this time as I was going into the hospital to have a baby. Scheduling his visit was fine. Easy! I let them know we may need to extend his stay as obviously with labor and delivery things aren't exactly cut and dry in terms of timeline. We originally were supposed to pick up on the Sunday but on Saturday we knew we wouldnt be discharged in time so my husband called on the Saturday and told them we needed to extend. On Sunday I received a call to say we would be charged $60~ if we didn't pick up before 6pm on the Sunday. I called back and was hung up on. Called back again and explained we needed to extend and that my husband had called to say that the day before. Anyway, fast forward to the day we picked up. We had asked his nails be trimmed, that was evidently not done as he's still clicking on our hardwood floor. There was no receipt given for the visit so I'm not sure if we paid for a nail trim or not, but it had been requested. It's been 4 days since he left and he has had diarrhea every single day. We are now waiting on our regular vet to give us a diagnosis on why he is ill. I emailed wcvc days ago and have received zero response. We have a newborn to take care of and now a dog that is crying every 2 hours during the night because he needs to go outside. Your service was poor and my dog left the facility with some kind of illness. Absolutely unacceptable and we certainly won't be trusting you with his care in the future.

The doctors, vet technicians and office staff at WCVC are all consistently friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. They relate extremely well to pets, as well as to people. I started taking my 2 dogs to them about 3 years ago, and every contact with their office since has been a positive experience, despite illness. One of my pets had to be euthanized, and the doctors and techs involved were extremely caring and sensitive-they made it such a peaceful experience for Maizey and my family.I highly recommend the doctors and staff at West Chester Vet Center to everyone! They are great people and a great business to deal with!
William Solazzo
The W.C. Vet Center is the best. Excellent medical care for our dogs. Friendly staff, and always welcoming when we use their boarding facilities. We always feel our pets are in good hands when we bring them here. Look no farther for first rate animal care in Butler County.
Sarah Vandergriff Fille
We have been taking our pups here for several years and have not had a bad experience until yesterday. I'll start with the fact that carside service is the only option- my dogs get anxiety and its upsetting for me that I can't be there with them. As for the actual appointment, Dr. Wright didn't tell me much about my dogs health and instead launched into a dissertation about how I need to schedule a dental visit to have him sedated and his teeth polished ($$$) I had to basically interrupt her to ask if he was otherwise healthy. He also needed his ears cleaned and flushed, which they performed but neglected to tell me he'd come out smelling like a gallon jug of vinegar... The worst part of the whole experience was them walking him out next to a busy road with his harness halfway off. If he wasn't such a well behaved dog this could have ended horribly. If the only offering is carside service, then the vet techs need to ensure pets are being properly secured before walking them out. Finding a new "dogtor" ASAP

Really annoyed with the scheduling of this place. We called to make an appointment for our new dog. They had a cancellation so of course we jumped on the first appointment they had available. We drove an hour to get there just for them to tell us that our appointment was for two weeks away and that they had nothing available. So we drove an hour for an appointment they didnât schedule right. The front desk lady was nice that we talked to, But it sucks when you load up a new puppy and your family to make an hour drive for them not to care.

Staff has been great and our dogs love boarding there. We have been here for more than 2 years now and haven't had any issues. They know one of our dogs are pet aggressive and ensure when we arrive that there will be a room we can get into right away and make sure there are no other animals around to make it easy on us to get in.

I have seen some negative reviews on here but I want to review this clinic. We had a terrible experience purchasing a beautiful 8 week puppy that we fell in love with upon seeing him. Unfortunately within 1 day of having this puppy, his behavior started changing. So we call this clinic got him in earlier than his Tuesday appointment, and they did all types of tests for him. Loved him. Cared for him. Were mad at the company who sold us this puppy along with us. This staff has been nothing but nice to us in this most difficult time and they feel our heartaches. Thanks so much for showing him as much love he deserved before he goes up to doggy heaven.

Went here because it had good reviews when I needed to find out why my dog was so itchy. Though they did help me I did not like their practice. I saw the assistant most of the time and the Dr for like 5 mins. The assistant was more like a sales person telling me I needed over $300.00 worth of services and continued to push when I said I couldn't afford to do it all at one time. She was very rude and far too pushy and disrespectful. Still walked out paying over $200. I later found another veterinarian that I now love and never acts like a sales person

I brought my dog in on a Sunday two weeks ago for a minor infection. Everyone was nice but I ended up waiting 1.5 hours to see the vet due to other more serious issues with other animals. They argued that companies outside of the country might not be selling the real medication so I found a reputable company here in the USA with the same med at a fraction of the cost, they still refused to price match despite telling me that they price match. I ended up with a different antibiotic that worked just fine. Fast forward two weeks and I brought my dog in for a follow up visit to make sure the spot was healing. We brought in Max to have a to nail looked at that he was licking a lot. The technician checked him out and the trimmed his nails. She was really sweet and Max felt at ease with her. We have been going to West Chester Vet Center for over 7 years now. They always nice and great with our dogs. I would recommend anyone to take their pet to them.

The clinic Vet and staff are incredibly attentive and always full of hugs for our puppy when she arrives. The staff is very caring and considerate of cost. You can tell they love their jobs and I know our pup is well cared for here. Highly recommended.

The W.C. Vet Center is the best. Excellent medical care for our dogs. Friendly staff, and always welcoming when we use their boarding facilities. We always feel our pets are in good hands when we bring them here. Look no farther for first rate animal care in Butler County.

Have had a good experience with normal shots. Seems like we spend more time with the vet tech than the vet and that some of the vet techs are really pushy toward trying to get you to buy from them. Prices are high compared to buying the medications through pet meds and when you try to order online they call and offer to match the price. Tonight they gave us an estimate of what it would cost for medications and the final bills was nearly 30% more than the estimate. Will be looking for a new vet.
Jessica
The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to genuinely care about your pet. I took my dog here for an emergency appointment and we didnât have to wait long to be seen. The price was reasonable and they donât try to pressure you

Absolutely outstanding!I awoke this morning to witness my 5 year old beloved dog Baxter had a serious eye infection. After a quick Google search I became very alarmed as I perused through multiple accounts of dogs becoming blind due to similar looking afflictions. So the search for a clinic open on Sunday began. Then the horror set back in as I read review after review condemning local facilities as overpriced but worse uneffective. Then I found this place. They were able to get me an appointment in less than 2 hrs which was nice. The front desk staff was friendly and quickly ushered us into a room. The "dog nurse" was very polite and knowledgeable while she assessed our situation. The Vet was a friendly woman who obviously took great interest in our situation. She place drops in Baxter's eyes to make sure there wasn't a scratch which would have changed her prognosis. After verifying to topical damage she provided us with eye drops, care instructions, and even provided pointers for us while administering the medicine at home.My concerns where put to bed and Baxter and I were on our way home in less than an hour from the appointment time; the bill $79.I can say this place is the very best I have ever been to and will be back, hopefully not ;-), regardless of whether it is an after hours emergency or not.The owners of this place should be proud of what they have, outstanding facilities, and a knowledgeable, caring staff.10 stars!

I highly recommend West Chester Vet Center to anyone considering them. Not only does our standard poodle receive excellent medical care (life-saving care, more on that in a minute) but he *loves* this place. In the past, my dogs always "knew" when they were going to the vet, and got freaked out. Our dog cannot contain his excitement when we pull in the parking lot. The staff all knows him, and treats him like their own pet. In addition to the bed-side manner, they literally saved his life recently with emergency surgery. Someone stayed by his side throughout surgery and all night as he recovered. We're extremely satisfied with WC Vet Center.
Mallory Beckman
We love and appreciate West Chester Vets! When our cat Malcolm became ill we admitted him to WC Vet for three days of inpatient treatment. They treated him so well, and weren't bothered at all when we came to visit Malcolm each day or called to check on him. At the follow up visit the doctor was just as pleased with Malcolm's progress and improvement as we were, and I could hear the excitement in her voice when she called to let us know his lab work had much improved. The staff are always friendly, responsive and understanding of what both the pet and the parents are going through. We highly recommend WC Vet. đ

From waiting for 20 plus minutes on hold to not calling in prescriptions to not knowing what is going on. The doctors are good, and the nurses are nice, but the front desk staff is moronic and will ensure I never visit this place again. Finally, as other reviewers have said, they want to run a bunch of no reason other than money tests. For a place that makes so much by ripping folks off, I'd have thought they could hire competent front desk staff. There are a bunch of places around and some are just plain out scary, but some are amazing. This one in particular is just over priced and incompetent. Be careful bringing your animal into the tiny rooms, if the claustrophobia doesn't get them the dust bunnies will. Oh, and usually, they just send you somewhere else after charging an extraordinary amount for virtually no help. "Oh just give him some of this, all good!" really? Shady, greedy, incompetent. I've never been so disgusted by a vet. Update: I bought a puppy from Petland and was supposed to have free care for his ongoing stomach problems, but because of "my treatment of the staff" and because I wrote this review they won't see me. I wrote it this morning and the treatment was stopped later this afternoon. They'd rather go troll their Google review page than help animals. What a pathetic practice. Another edit: I got my pet records letter in the mail. They noted that I yelled at my pet for biting, which I presume they heard on the phone and stated that the new vet should "be cautious. I wasn't yelling at my new puppy, thanks. "Your letter about me "not speaking to your staff appropriately" was very informative. Thanks, mom/dad. Also, I won't bother bringing in your paper work to my new and competent vet because you didn't do anything for my puppy except charge me, which is incredible considering I was to have free items from your deal with Petland, whom I will notify of your atrocious lack of talent and humanity.

Took my new puppy there this past Friday. I have to say the facility is nice, doesn't smell bad like other vet facilities I have been to. Staff was pleasant, and they even called the next day to check on my puppy. I'd say their puppy care plan is reasonably price!

I have been taking my dogs here for almost 5 years. They seem to just want to nickel & dime very last cent they can get. They don't seem to want to treat a longterm health issues with a longterm treatment, but instead want to get you to come in more often with a different treatments that never works. They wanted to charge me over $300 for just testing. I refused the test & just got 2 vaccines which cost me $100! When I had my dog's records transferred they wrote down that I refused the shoot which also shows on the records I paid for them!!Their prices are through the roof, and the people there just seem to worry more about the bill than the care of my dog. Every time they have given me an estimate it's been more money at the end. I finally had enough and now go to Mason Family Pet Hospital - they were able to quickly give me a LONGTERM plan & treatment, took the time to explain everything and was HALF the price. There are better places that actually want to help your pets get better. Only good thing with this place is their boarding, but after my last few vet visits I don't think I'll ever be back even for boarding.

Just had to take my 3 yr old boxer there because he broke the nail on his dew claws. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Got him in and out in like an hour. Due to previous owners he dislikes men and they went as far as putting in his chart no males. Didn't question it, didn't make a big deal. Just did what was best for him. The vets are nice enough but communication is very poor. I have had issues each time that I call to set up and find out what my pet needs in regards to his vaccines. I had just moved to the area and we needed a vet closer to home. My fiance and I have a one year old Aussiedoodle with severe anxiety issues. She is the definition of Murphy's Law (Murphy is her middle name). Our baby has had it all I, I don't know how many times we have been to the vet for her. We're also first time dog owners... so it's a lot. Our puppy got really sick last night. My fiance got home around 5 and saw that she had gone out both ends all over herself, she was shaking, very lethargic, and really scared. I had called at 5:20 spoke with a veterinarian (which I really appreciated at the time) about my how bad this could actually be. She told me worst case scenario (of course) and that to bring her into the office, the cost would be $175 plus care. I went home to take a look, to see what she was doing, and how she was acting. After seeing how lethargic she was we decided to take her in. I called at 5:50 (30 minutes later) to let them know I was bringing her in and they put us down in the books. We got there and they sent us away because their on call Dr wasn't there! I had just spoke with a Dr and because it was 6:01 they didn't want to see her. Apparently their 24/7 sign out front doesn't really mean what it says. We live 3 miles from this place and my dog threw up twice in that short amount of time. If they would have told me to go somewhere else from the start I would have and this probably wouldn't be an issue and my puppy would have been treated faster. They didn't even call to check on her or anything after sending us away. Since our puppy isn't their priority we will never set foot in this place again. Very disappointing...

We have been going to this vet for over a year now. Usually friendly staff and good prices. However, I was calling to give them a heads up that we would be 10 minutes to 15 minutes late, to make sure thry would still see our dog. They said it would not be ok because it would interfere with other appointments. Any dr. I have ever been to allows up to 15 minutes being late. A vet from my previous experience was the same. Since i could not be there at the exact time of the appointment, they counted it as a missed appointment and said they would need to keep my credit card on file to charge me the next time i do it. Sadly, it makes me feel like I need a new vet to go to. It's not like I've ever missed an appointment or was ever late before. It was only going to be 10 minutes. I did give them a 2 star instead of one because most of them have been friendly in the past. Our dog just had 8 puppies too and was going to take them to this vet. :(Response to your response. I originally called to see if we could come in 10 to 15 minutes late. The receptionist went to check with the veterinarian and they said no, that it would interfere. So I tried to reschedule but you guys said i cant unless i give you my credit card. Im sorry it hallens to you way too often. However if you have a loyal customer like us, that it was a one time in well over a year. Perhaps you should take that into consideration. It's not like I wanted to be late or reschedule. I understand you are in it to make money and if someone doesn't show up it is a loss, just like any business. However, being 10 minutes late is hardly considered a no show. Should I have just shown up 10 minutes late and took the chance or give a courtesy call asking if 10 minutes is too late?

Beware, this clinic will try to charge you for things that theyâve not done. Way too expensive compared to other clinics. I will be looking for a new clinic ASAP. Very slow service, be prepared to spend forever no matter the reason youâre there. I boarded my dog & they charged me for something I did not get ($47) and now my dog has an eye infection & I suspect worms given heâs scooting ( which he never does). Donât waste your time & money like I have. Run for the door!

The staff is always friendly and very attentive to our dog. We originally used another local vet service but tried West Chester Veterinary Center when we needed to board her, based on the recommendation of a friend. We were so satisfied, we now use WCVC for all our pet care needs.

Brianna Mangold

I have two older cats and they're extremely accommodating to make urgent appointments when things happen. I recently had to take my dog Mischief in on emergency and they were so awesome. My dog likes to eat EVERYTHING and so we are always in the vet I really appreciated their emergency hours. My pet is feeling better now. There were also a lot less expensive than some of the other emergency clincs in the area. I hope we don't have to go back soon, but with a dog like Mischeif, who knows.

I'd give a zero if possible! Our two pound chihuahua had kennel cough. This was the vet the store we bought her from said to take her to have her guarantee certified. The staff was aware of her kennel cough as I'd taken her to an emergency vet already and told them. She was deteriorating and I called as soon as they opened to get her in and they wanted me to drop her off to be kenneled until a doctor could see her. I refused, went back to the emergency vet where she got more meds. She continued to get worse. She was lethargic, wouldn't eat or drink and was struggling to breathe. The owner wouldn't allow anyone else to see her and made us wait five hours for an appointment. The owner was late showing up for the appointment time. She wasn't even on site! Our puppy almost died and had to have three days of nebulizer treatments, special food and more medicines to survive. Once we completed the treatments we left the practice and will never set foot in there again. Worse vet I've ever been to!

This place cares more about your wallet than your pet! Is highly OVERPRICED and I wouldn't count on them staying true to their quotes. Also, what other veterinary charges $300-$500 to perform CPR?!My overall experience is that they just look for different ways to keep adding fees to your bill up to the point that it gets ridiculous.I won't be going back. There are better options on this area like the Mason Family Pet Hospital.

These folks want nothing but money and demand to do test after test after test that are worthless to your pet but not to them $$$. They put you on hold forever. They told us different things at different times and it always circles around to more and more worthless test and of course more cash. I could go into a long and boring stories but you are better off going to a reasonable credible vet. Good vet are out there, you just have to find them. We did.

I would highly recommend and it will be our permanent vet for both our dogs.

I highly recommend West Chester Veterinary Center for all pet services. They have friendly Doctors and assistants, which makes ever visit a pleasant experience. In addition, the person who does the grooming services is very good. I've taken my Labradoodle to the groomer several times and she does an excellent job!

ZERO stars! On Sunday, May 17th, I arrived at West Chester Veterinary Center for emergency services with my dog, Lyla, who was ill and lying down in the cargo area of my SUV. I arrived around 11:30AM and called them upon my arrival (COVID-19 protocol per the signs posted on front entrance). I explained Lylaâs status to the woman who answered, stating that âI donât know whatâs wrong with her but she has a fast heart rate, doesnât want to move and I think sheâs trying to die on me.â Without anyone even bothering to triage Lyla, the woman on the phone proceeds to tell me that they are unable to accept Lyla as an emergency patient because theyâve âalready had a couple emergency patients this morning and are fully booked with routinely scheduled appointments. We have no more hands on deck.â We were flat out refused emergency care. The lady then referred me to two other emergency veterinarians who were both approximately 25 minutes away.I proceeded to drive to Med Vet on Red Bank Road, per WC Veterinary Centerâs recommendation. Upon arrival, my sweet girl was dead.It turns out that Lyla had a cancerous tumor in her stomach that had ruptured earlier that morning, which is when we first noticed her symptoms. Itâs likely that even the best vet in the world would have been unable to save her, however, my sweet girl dying alone in the back of my car is unacceptable. WC Veterinary Center claims to provide both routine and emergency services. Providing emergency services requires that you adopt a triage system to screen each emergency patient, which determines their current condition and how urgently they need to be seen. Because WC Veterinary Center chooses to provide both routine and emergency services, this also means that a routinely scheduled appointment may have to wait if an emergency patient needs to be seen first. At least, this is how itâs supposed to work. Had a vet or vet tech been so kind as to lay eyes on my dog rather than flat out refusing her, their veterinary expertise would have likely told them sheâs in the process of dying. And had I known this information, I could have spent her last minutes comforting and holding her.My negative experience with WC Veterinary Center is obviously on the extreme end, involving the death of my beloved pup. While I will never EVER allow WC Veterinary Center to care for my animals again, I am sharing my experience in the hopes that they will change their procedure and no one else will have to be robbed of their precious last moments with their dying pet. Rest in peace, my sweet Lyla Boo.

We care for a stray outdoor cat who has adopted us, and late Sunday, one hour before the Veterinary Center was to close, we discovered that the cat, "Tucker", was ill, breathing rapidly and acting lethargic. Fearing the worst, we took him to the W. C. Vet. Center where he received excellent treatment and compassionate care by the doctor, technicians and staff. Tucker is now home recovering, and I am so grateful to everyone who cared for him.

Outstanding Veterinary clinic. Appointments are easy to schedule (I always see Dr Regina Krendl);very little wait time: staff is always helpful, friendly, professional, and compassionate. Fees/costs are a bit high, although reasonably affordable, depending on the service. Dr Krendl is amazingly dedicated and compassionate. I highly recommend them.

The staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. The Dr was very informative and was very patient to explain everything to me. The staff is always knowledgeable and knows just what to do to make your visit go smoothly. They bring out a detailed description of services that will be performed and have you sign off on it BEFORE performing anything on you pet. It's a good way to avoid any surprise charges.

Excellent Caring Emergency Care! - We just moved to the area so we don't have a vet yet. We called the emergency number at 1 in the morning when our dog was suffering from severe pain in her tailbone area. Dr. Gigis and Michael Gigis met us immediately at the clinic. They were so kind and caring while they treated and x-rayed our dog. They took their time and explained everything and answered all of our questions very patiently. I think we found our new vet.

I am absolutely disgusted with this establishment. We have been taking my dog jeter here for a few years now and all they want is money. They have done test after test racking up thousands of dollars over the past few weeks and then telling us all of the tests are inconclusive. When they finally give us a pill to put our dog on he starts peeing blood, when the medicine is looked up it is clearly stated a side effect is kidney failure. We called this vet and they told us to KEEP GIVING HIM THE PILL. This is absolute garbage they clearly have no concern for my animal and clearly only care for profit. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. If you care about your animal, take them somewhere else.

Puppy was acting distressed and could not hold bladder - so after a google search located this place nearby as the closest. When we arrive, the desk clerk asks, âDid you call first?â I said âNo, I googled emergency vet.â The clerk says, âWell we have emergency hours.â At this point another employee instructs the clerk to put us in room 220. After registration, the other employee says, âWe cannot yelp you with your dog until she has gone to an urgent care or you call a phone number for poison control.â So as my distressed puppy is in the waiting room while this employee instead of giving me the phone number (which I can google, but foolishly thought a vet employee might know something); the employee feels verbally reciting policies etc. After about 20 seconds of that, I left that employee as they rambled on out the front door with my very sick puppy. I called another vet whom VIA PHONE, advised me what to do and what to look out for. We induced vomiting and the undigested pills were expelled. Firmed up puppyâs bowl with some whole wheat bread and pumpkin and 2 hours later puppy was on the mend. This is place is about money and couldnât have cared less about my pet or more importantly, A SICK ANIMAL. I found the whole process disgusting.

READ!!!! After having no choice paying 4X what agripet charges. My âfreeâ check up after a surgery costed me 40 dollars to look at the work they already charged for. Do not go. Beyond expensive. Yes they have lots of services. But so does everyone else. For way cheaper. I hope this saves someone.

My dog loves all of the techs at West Chester vet center. The doctors do a great job at thoroughly explaining any questions I have and I never feel pressured. I recommend them to everyone with a pet!

The technician was very thorough with explaining medications to me and gave helpful tips on how to administer the medication.I was also very pleased to find out that they are open 7 days a week for convenience or emergency reasons.

Stephanie takes great care of my cat!!! She's amazing and shows special attention. Super friendly and sweet. She actually cares!!I wouldn't go anywhere else because of her!!

Love West Chester Vet Center!!! They treat your animals like their own! My boys, Boss & Caine love going to the vet because they know they'll get loved on the whole time & they'll be treated great during vaccines or whatever they have to have done! I highly recommend this vet!!!

Alexander Gregory

There aren't enough words to explain the care and knowledge Dr. Krendl and her staff show. My dog had a fall and needed to be seen ASAP! I called the office and Dr. Krendl made room to see him during her busy day. We went for a follow up and had some other questions for her. She answered them without even thinking twice. Dr. Krendl is on her game! I can't thank their office enough for everything they have done for my dog. So glad I was referred to this office.

Good care, ok prices, not good at keeping track of who owns what animals in a household where different people own different animals, leading to lots of miscommunication and holding records hostage when the wrong person owes money.
