We have taken our pets to The Pines for over 20 years. Six pets total, I have the cremains of each in the wood boxes with picture inserts. I have always had nothing but good things to say about them, until this last pet. After making the very hard decision to help our 16 year old cat cross the bridge, we took her to The Pines. Granted it seemed to be a very busy Saturday, we had the sweetest lady help us. After being put in a room, along with our cat and discussing the final details, the employee went to the office to do the paper work and my husband went outside. The door was left open. Another employee ushered another family into the room, without even looking in. She saw my cat laying on the table, made an audible 'huh' sound. jerked my cat off the table and proceeded out of the room. At this point I vocalized that I guess I'll go with my cat. This got her attention and she turned and said "I thought you were with them". I was already upset about the decision to help my cat pass and then this. She should have looked into the room before directing another family, dealing with a sad day of their own, into the same space. Also, I received a call on my home phone the following Monday from the Pines, with no response from the other end, when I picked up. I called them and left a message. After an hour I got a return call to inform me my cat was ready for pick up. I was questioned as to if I looked at my cell phone because they left a message on it. The lady acted as if this return call was an inconvenience. After hanging up with her, I checked my cell phone...no message from them. When I picked my cat's remains up the phone numbers were on the box. They had transposed 3 of the numbers of my cell phone into their system. So someone at that number got a message, it wasn't me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Pines. I met Shannon and some of the crew today when I took my grandma there to make funeral arrangements for her dear, Hachi. She already has one dog there and has made many visits. They treated her like family and were so welcoming and kind to me. Thank you for taking great care of my grandparents and their pups. ❤️ The grounds are beautiful.

I cannot say enough good things about the services, the staff, and even the cost of Pines, but I’ll try. I’ve used Pines twice. The first time in 2018, when my dog passed from cancer, and again this week when my 3 year old goodest boy, Bruce Wayne, suddenly left this earth. From the woman who helped us place him in the after hours drop off, to the one that helped me choose his urn today, and everyone in between, I felt comforted. They invited me to talk about my baby, to share photos. They handled my sweet baby’s cremation quickly, and with care, so I could get him home as soon as possible. I also love that it’s a private cremation, and since my girl passed, I don’t think the pricing has gone up much, if at all. It had been six years, and I was worried it would cost much more. So, that was a relief. The grounds are gorgeous and comforting, as well. Making the experience feel much more personable, rather than a sterile transaction. It’s a detail that doesn’t go unnoticed.I will forever trust Pines with my pets. It’s comforting to know that it’s not a decision I have to even think about, during a time when I’m too sad to want to have to make choices.

The Pines is Beautiful and Well maintained 5/5.Negative ReviewThe one star review is for lack of professionalism and transparency. The Pines is a business and has every right to make a profit. While I hope my experience is the product of simple human error, I am somehow skeptical. When a customer asks for total costs, they expect to receive an estimate or a breakdown of All fees. What a Pet Owner doesn't expect is to bring their same day Euthanized Pet in for burial, sat down by staff, and be blindsided by "Hidden Fees" that were NOT Disclosed when asked or at signing of original contract.I.E. We forgot to tell you there was an opening and closing of Ground Fee. We'll expect payment AFTER we had you sign a Contract and "Tack on More Fees". I mean to put it bluntly, I'm in the lobby with my deceased pet and basically told you need to pony up addional cash we didn't disclose AFTER being repeatedly asked about ALL FEES.Due to extenuating circumstances (I'll Gladly Discuss Privately) I had nonprofits assisting with Expenses. Now this money has to come out of my pocket. To avoid any confusion for Future Clients, I will gladly disclose ALL FEES.Burial Fee (Varies by Lot).Preneed Endowment Fee (Perpetual Care) $200Casket Fee - If Burying in Preneed Lot, the Pines REQUIRES you buy their non biodegradable casket.Open and Closing Ground Fee (Varies).Graveside Service Fee ($40?).Base for Headstone FeeNot hard to give clients this common courtesy.- Justin

Before my review , I’d like to mention that I really wanted to love the Pines , but unfortunately I did not. The experience of cremating a pet should and could have been better. It’s a beautiful property but communication on their end and the quality of the urn needs to be better. My boyfriend and I unfortunately lost Maddie on November 2. After euthanasia, our vet mentioned the Pines because they made it seem like an easy process.I called on November 4 after the weekend was up and asked what the process was and how to get started with cremation. They told us it would cost $25 to pick her body up at the vet. My boyfriend paid and they told us it would be 2-3 business days and that THEY WOULD CALL US. Yes I’m saying US because I was the one that called them in the first place and I told them they could call me as well not just my boyfriend and that I wanted my number on file. After not hearing anything for a week , On November 12th my boyfriend called them and asked about Maddie. Someone had called back and left a voicemail and said “we called you on November 6th to let you know Maddie was ready ” might’ve called someone but it wasn’t us.So our pet , dead in her urn, waiting to come home, was just sitting there for (what would’ve been longer than a week if we didn’t call) and no one had the audacity to call or apparently call a second time and leave a voicemail.**It’s one thing if she was not cremated yet and they were behind on the process. I would understand the delay, but she was ready on Nov 5 **UPDATE:When asking the receptionist about this matter , she thinks someone “misdialed” and left a voicemail elsewhere. That’s even worse lol , If you don’t hear from someone within 2-3 days don’t you think you would contact them again to mention their pet was ready for pickup ? How are you “misdialing” a phone number in the first place. Go over it a second time and make sure you have the right numbers before you hit call OR send a confirmation through email as well. I get mistakes happen but you’re dealing with animals people loved DEARLY. Dialing a correct number is probably the easiest thing you have to do when running a cemetery. This seems like a minor mistake but the little things definitely matter and this was unprofessional. If we didn’t reach out to them , Maddie would’ve still been sitting there. Also , the urn had a chip missing out of it that I had to go over with SHARPIE. Also Unprofessional

Today was a hard day. For two reasons. One its my birthday, two I had to bring my beautiful Akita Shepherd Bear Bear in and say my final goodbyes with my 10 and 15 year old boys by my side. Start to finish this place will make this hard moment a little easier. The phone call from the get go made me choose them. The moment of silence she allowed me to have, just knowing when to do so to helping me choose between URNs for my big heavy guy. Still haven't really decided but I know they will pick one that suits him well between the ones we chose. And right to the end where they gifted me 2 prints one of his nose and one of his paw out of pure selflessness and said it's your birthday we wanted to do that for you. They had their fur babies there and allowed my boys to kinda be comforted by them and pet them all while taking their minds off of Bear for a moment. If you need a service like I did this is the place I would recommend for your beloved pet. You will get kind treatment and passion straight from the first point of contact on the phone until you walk out. It's most certainly a peace of mind place. Thank you from the bottom of my soul. And for the sake of Bear Bears. He would have been your best buddy too.

My husband's coworker recommended The Pines Pet Cemetery and Cremation Center after a stray my mom had started taking care of passed away. I can't begin to thank them enough. They were absolutely phenomenal, they treated us so kindly, & made it super easy to drop him off & pick him up. & honestly it was very affordable, they offered their condolences each time they called. I can't thank the staff enough for being so super nice throughout the entire process. I will definitely use them exclusively in the future when any other fur babies cross that rainbow bridge.

It's taken a while to be able to go back. This is a beautiful place and the people there are incredible. I just drove around and took some pictures and visited so wonderful. While losing a pet last years was devastating this place and the people gave be solace that is still touching me today .

We had an incredible experience at Pines Pet Cemetery & Cremation Center. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The staff members were so kind and compassionate after we unexpectedly lost our sweet girl. They were able to get us in same day, which was a huge relief. I also appreciated that they did not rush the process and gave us a sufficient amount of time to say our goodbyes.Highly recommend

It's taken me a bit to be able to write this. I got my husky cremated here, when my fiancé and I called about service's we were told what was included with the cremation, one of the things included was a section of fur from my baby. We set everything up, brought her in, verified everything (we wanted her cremated with her favorite toys) to ensure it was correct. We came back a few days later to pick her up, we saw in our package that no fur was in the canister or bag. When we asked about the fur, we were told by an employee in a very nasty tone that "You have to specifically tell us you want that, she's already been cremated there's nothing we can do" That's it. No apologies, just a crappy tone.Cherry on top- my pups urn was dented in two places, same employee, didn't believe it was dented, we showed her, she groaned around, said "I can get a new one if you're really worried about these little dent's". I understand a peice of fur isn't an end of the world thing or even a dent on an urn, but for me it is. I have autism and having that was and still is HUGE for me. We asked over and over what was included and made sure we would get what we wanted for my girl, the lack of remorse, accountability, and overall empthay from the employee in this situation was despicable and I pray she doesn't treat any other customer that way again. Mistakes happen, but when people are coming to your business for such a sensitive and emotional part of life, some remorse and admitting a mistake was made would have helped greatly in the overall experience.I would also like to add- 4 months prior to this we had our ferret cremated here and we got the same exact cremation package, fur was included without us having to say we wanted it.

Highly recommend Pines for anyone cremating or burying a pet. They were so kind from the moment we called to have them pick up our beloved Dazey girl from the vet until the moment we picked her up to bring her back home. They had her ready 2 days after she was picked up from the vet. A huge thank you to Pines for handling my baby girl with love & care.

Such wonderful people and a beautiful place. They really understand that we lost a member of our family and treated us with all the care and compassion you would expect when you lose a loved one. We’ll miss her.

This place is amazing!!! They were compassionate and caring and the prices made it affordable for me to bring my baby Max home. This place made me feel comfortable in letting my Max go in their care. it's beautiful here. thank you Pines. never stop doing what you do! you make a huge difference

We were referred to the Pines when we lost our beloved Labrador Riley. We used their cremation services - dropping off Riley to them and picking up the ashes the next day. The staff were warm and compassionate. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. I would definitely use their services again - they were a comforting presence on a very difficult day.

I have nothing but wonderful, kind things to say about this place. They took so much care, and were so incredibly patient. Tonya made this difficult process a lot easier on my husband and myself. The prices are excellent, and the wait time was so fast, even for it being a holiday weekend. They even included all of his colors for the fur clippings they got for me. I work at a vet office, and I would pick Pine Pet Cemetery over who we use.

It’s so very difficult to lose your loving Companions, but Shannon the owner and employees do a remarkable job of helping you and showing compassion. Their large property displays many animal statues that are so serine!

What a wonderful peaceful place to deal with the loss of our loved dog Kodi. Emily and Connie both were fantastic. Thank you all for this great place. It had been 17 years since we lost our last pet cat Lucy. You just continue to get better. God Bless.

Absolutely flawless experience with the Pines. This is the first time I’ve had to put a pet down and deal with cremation, etc. First off, they can pick up your pet from your vet so you do not have to transport your deceased animal, that in itself is great. Second, I started the process with their online form which was so easy, and they called me to double check everything and explain the timeline/process. They let me know when he was ready but didn’t make me feel rushed to pick him up. I appreciated that as I am about 45 minutes away so waiting until Saturday was best. I came to pick him up and chose an urn - they transferred his ashes right then and there and I paid and was on my way. It was a very busy Saturday morning here but they had plenty of staff making sure everyone was being helped. Highly recommend The Pines! Thank you all.

We went to pick up our Phoebe today! The staff there was very comforting and very sympathetic to our loss! Their location is beautiful, and it made my heart so happy to see that all the fur babies past, current and future have a peaceful, beautiful place to rest! Thank you so much for taking care of our baby!

We were referred here as a cheaper option to the pet hospital's in-house cremation services, maybe about two weeks ago. They were so kind, so caring, so helpful, so accommodating in the face of someone else's loss. We chose to pick up on site because I didn't want to deal with the hospital again. The drive out is so gorgeous and pleasant, calming and beautiful. It's such a great way to honor your pet, thinking they'd love the scenery too. They are so friendly and kind in person. They referred us to the engraving nameplate so that's next. We will be patrons for the rest of our lives as long as we have pets. Thank you for treating our family with dignity :')

They are so caring and supportive. The staff truly understands the pain of losing a pet and offer a wide range of services so your pet can be at peace. We got a beautiful box for our dog's ashes and a nose print. They were timely, kind and professional.

Wonderful sanctuary, respectful people, timely cremation of my sweet baby's remains. Did not try to up sell anything to me when it was obvious I did not know what I wanted. Worth the extra few dollars for the paw print in clay. I have two more elderly dogs at home, and it is a comfort knowing The Pines is there to assist me when they do eventually pass.

I’m not sure where to even start with how appreciative I am of this business! We lost our cat very unexpectedly and we were an absolute wreck. I called for a price quote on cremation and they were extremely considerate through my uncontrollable sobbing. The price was very affordable for someone that had just spend hundreds in vet bills over the past several days. Upon arrival the service didn’t change. Again we were treated so well and could honestly tell they understood our pain of loosing our Jimmy. We were advised in approx. 2-3 days we would receive a call for pick up. To my surprise- the NEXT day they called stating our boy was ready to come home. Upon pickup, everything was ready and an employee even spoke with me for 10+ minutes even though they were closing about what had transpired in the past few days with our cat. You remember those that care so much when you’re at your worst, and I will be forever grateful for this company. We needed just ONE thing to go smoothly, and this was it. To the staff on 10/30-10/31/23, thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts.

The staff at The Pines Pet Cemetery are simply wonderful! They make a difficult task and time in life so much easier. They were recommended by our vet at Suburban Vet in Centerville and the referral was “spot-on”! Having to lose my best friend and buddy of over 15 years was terrible but The Pines Cemetery staff made a difficult time so much easier from my first call to our arrival to pick-up my buddy’s ashes. If you use The Pines Pet Cemetery you will not be disappointed and they will make a difficult time much easier to bear.

Everyone is so friendly and great to talk with during such a hard time of losing a pet. They do a great job with getting nose/paw prints, fur, etc. We chose to pick up the urn at the cemetery, which I’m glad we did because the site is so pretty and the staff was so comforting and sweet. I’m so grateful our vet recommended Pines to us.

Our family has been going to Pine's for many years for our pet memorial needs. Although the process is never easy, the staff at Pine's has always been kind, compassionate, and caring. Recently, our sweet cat of 11 years passed away. Catherine was very comforting and provided us with the support we needed. Also, a special shout-out to Gandalf, Chuck, and Marvin. I highly recommend Pine's Pet Cemetery and Cremation Center.

We chose pines after family and our vet recommended them. They were very professional and compassionate. When we arrived to pick up our pets ashes we were greeted immediately and they helped us pick out an urn. We were never pressured to buy anything or add anything extra to our bill. I could tell that the staff really truly have a love for animals. They had several dogs and cats walking around the office and the atmosphere was very relaxed and calming. The grounds of the facility were very well maintained, creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

I can’t say thank you enough to this establishment. Connie went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me after losing my German Shepherd. She made my horrible day so much easier, and she clearly cares about the work she does. I would recommend Pines Pet Cemetery to anyone. Such kind people at such a hard time.

Our experience with Pines Pet Cemetery was exceptional. Their handling of our pet's cremation was much more caring than we have experienced other places. I would highly recommend.

We've had 4 dogs, personal and fosters all cremated here. The staff are exceptional at being compassionate and actually caring about your deceased loved one. Never feel rushed. Never pushed for anything besides the basic cremation.

My family and myself have been using Pines for 40 years. We have almost 30 pets buried on the grounds. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds are immaculate and gives pet owners a beautiful memorial where you can go anytime to visit your beloved family members. I wouldn't not trust my pet to anyplace else. They truly make the experience special and memorable. Thank you Pines.

Patricia Patterson
This place is amazing!!! They were compassionate and caring and the prices made it affordable for me to bring my baby Max home. This place made me feel comfortable in letting my Max go in their care. it's beautiful here. thank you Pines. never stop doing what you do! you make a huge difference

We were referred to the Pines when we lost our beloved Labrador Riley. We used their cremation services - dropping off Riley to them and picking up the ashes the next day. The staff were warm and compassionate. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. I would definitely use their services again - they were a comforting presence on a very difficult day.
Shelby Strang

Norwood Bizzell
What a wonderful peaceful place to deal with the loss of our loved dog Kodi. Emily and Connie both were fantastic. Thank you all for this great place. It had been 17 years since we lost our last pet cat Lucy. You just continue to get better. God Bless.

I understand that errors happen! But when you communicate it 2 or 3 different times...what exactly it is that you want done with you deceased loved one. It became problematic because you cant go back and fix it in this type of industry. You made sure to get my credit card number correct on file so you could get your money. But you couldn't read a paper nor mark the answer from phone conversation correctly. All I asked for was a hair clipping and couldn't even get that and to be honest for some odd reason I never felt that, I even got the right ashes back. But once everything is ashes and dust you can't prove nothing. But I will say I really felt disrespected when I was told that the paperwork that come with the deceased doesn't usually get read.Despite it was after the fact, that is a red flag because that paper was written documentation w/ personal information and what I wanted as a back up. I had a gut feeling and didn't follow it shame on me. My opinion comes with a crematory background (humans only) experience. Whatever comes with the descendant you check it and read it, cross your I's and Dot you T's and you do until you get it right. It does not matter if it's 3 times or 1000 times it's until you get it right. But I also understand the point of view about the money, pace, space, load & communication which can become a mess and cause a mess up clearly. But overall I don't feel fulfilled at all....this go around. Though, I did use this company for my cats sister and that experience was very good the gentleman was extremely nice and professional back in 2021. I wouldn't say or encourage anyone to stay away. I would encourage strong strong and accurate communication on what it is that you want done. So, your not one out of the few like me and Paris.

These people really care about what they do. They are kind, considerate and patient. From the first phone call I made to them I knew my pet was in very good hands. I cannot say enough good things about the pines. I am so glad we found them, they made the whole situation less painful and i highly recommend their services.

We used The Pines several timesAlways so kind & caring

The amount of compassion and care that the staff put into my sweet little Kimchi's paw prints, fur clippings, and nose prints was just phenomenal. They were so accomodating and understanding with every conversation I had with them. They assured me multiple times they would take good care of my baby. Their price was extremely reasonable and cushioned the blow of having to have after life care for my baby. My friend went to pick him up and a sweet lady showed him the prints and said the sweetest and kindest things to him. My friends and I all cared for this baby like he was our own and to have such love and support was extremely needed. Thank you for being there even in a sudden and unexpected death. The prints are perfect and I will cherish them forever.
Matt
We took our dog Jackbear to Pines and they showed him such care and dignity, they treated us with true genuine kindness and made the experience a positive one. I am filled with gratitude, and I can say in complete confidence that this is the place to take your beloved pets. Thank you Shannon and everyone there.

This was my first experience with The Pines last week. What a wonderful place. They made one of the hardest experiences of my life somewhat bearable. The urn I picked out was beautiful and high quality. Thank you!
Toni Hays
I'm so happy I chose Pines to have my cat cremated here. The staff was wonderful and answered any questions I had. They also went above and beyond to get me the best clear prints of her paws and nose print. And all the hair they gave me to put in different things.Thank you Pines ❤

UPDATE 2024:I had to have my cat euthanized two days ago and by the time I was able to call them they had already picked up my boy from the vet. Tonya was very caring and compassionate and I told her about my negative review from 2019. She explained that the Fourth of July was their busiest time and I realized that I had made a mistake by not calling the emergency number from the beginning. Therefore I will revise my review to a 5 as I was not understanding the whole situation. Thank you for taking care of Mozart.I called the Pines at 9:05 am today (July 5, 2019) because my sweet dog passed away earlier this morning. There was no answer but the voicemail message stated their business hours (9am-5pm, I might be off on the closing time) and said if I was getting this message they were either on the other line or working with a client. I left a message asking for a return call from them, giving my name and phone number. I didn't hear anything for over an hour so I called back, getting the same message but not leaving a second voice message. It is now 7:04pm on the same day and I STILL have not gotten a return call. I am glad I was not depending on this company to take care of our needs today because it would not have happened, obviously. We called Faithful Companions in Sharonville and was able to take her there immediately. They are open 8am to 10 pm every day of the week and will be delivering my precious pup back home to us TOMORROW. I strongly recommend that you call Faithful Companions as they are prepared to help in your time of need.UPDATE:I received a call from them today (July 6, 2019) at 2:55 PM and was asked if I "still need to make arrangements." Ironically, about twenty minutes prior to the call Faithful Companions had delivered the cremains if our Maddie to us. I informed the agent from the Pines of this and she told me that she was sorry for our loss. No apology for not getting back to us in a timely manner nor any reason or excuse for it. Unacceptable.

Had our cat put down and pines picked her up and did the cremation! The price was very reasonable and the staff were caring and compassionate!! I’d recommend them any time!! This was our second fur baby we had cremated by them!! Thank all of the staff for the love and for the nice letter we received!!

My fur baby Cosmo suddenly passed away on us Wednesday. I made the last minute decision to have him cremated. So I didn’t get to plan ahead. The vet that Cosmo was at recommended this place in Lebanon for us to go to. I was really nervous taking him there because I didn’t know if my baby was gonna be treated with respect. Well, to say the least, I am very glad that I was directed to this place. The lovely staff made sure that me and my fur baby were comfortable, happy, and treated with dignity. I felt understood, like others around me knew how I felt. I ordered a brass urn, two keychains, and a beautiful necklace. I am pleased with every purchase. Every item is stunning. Not to mention, the property is absolutely breath taking so if you want to bury your animal here it is a gorgeous cemetery. I will definitely be coming back when the inevitable happens and my other cats pass. I know the staff will take wonderful care of my other babies.

Kasey Fuqua
They are so caring and supportive. The staff truly understands the pain of losing a pet and offer a wide range of services so your pet can be at peace. We got a beautiful box for our dog's ashes and a nose print. They were timely, kind and professional.
Cheryl Goldstein

The people here are all amazing. There was nothing but kindness and sympathy from every person there every time I interacted with them. I couldn’t have had a better experience in spite of dealing with losing our cat. The office and grounds are beautiful as well.

My experience with Pines was fantastic. Unfortunately, I was forced to have my chihuahua euthanized on 12/22/17. I took her to Pines to be cremated. Less than 24 hours later, she had been cremated and her remains were ready to be picked up. My baby gets to be home for Christmas, and I can’t tell you how much that means to me.The people at Pines are so unbelievably kind, supportive, and compassionate. They understand that losing a pet is losing a family member and a best friend.—-I live about 45 minutes from Lebanon, but I chose to go to Pines because my parents had an amazing experience with them and they encouraged me to go there. I am so glad I listened.
Sabrina Blake
My partner, now former partner, and I have had 3 cats and 2 dogs cremated and their remains returned. I personally drive over 90 minutes for the services that the Pines offers. Shannon and her staff are amazing and extremely compassionate. Shannon has accommodated my hours and provided a place for us to leave our beloved after hours.Their cemetery is also very beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend the Pines!!!

Our dog recently left my family after being with us for 11 years. He had an acute jaundice after the surgery to remove a mast cell tumor 6 months ago. Our vet told us we should prepare for the final moment. But my husband kept feeding him mixed porridge. Somehow he managed to stay and was running around again. Lately he became less active and his liver failed again. It is terribly painful to see him off. The morning he passed away, I called the Pines for a scheduled cremation. The owner let us in right away and the ladies at the desk are helpful as well. Their understanding and professionalism made it easier for us at this special moment. We had great memories with our dog, even including the last one. We appreciate their help.

The kind staff at Pines were absolutely amazing and were so caring. When we went do go pick up the cremated remains of our Pomeranian, Daisy, we were so surprised by their caring attitude towards us and our deceased dog. I would recommend this place to all my friends and most importantly my family. Thanks Pines, your staff truly made this difficult time a lot easier to get through.

Debbie H. The Pines staff are comforting and very professional as they explain your options. They are very respectful and treat your pet with kindness and love. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. This proves to me just how much they care about you and your pet. My pet is my family and I love them very much. I thank you for your compassion and understanding.

Recently, our dog crossed the rainbow bridge and Pines handled his cremation. We appreciate how kind the staff was with our baby boy, and how quickly we were able to bring him back home with us💙 We also drove through the park itself, and it is very beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend this facility for your furbaby should you need it🐾

I cannot thank them enough. My family and I had to say goodbye to our Golden retriever, Brady. He had been a part of our family for 15 years. The staff at Pines were so compassionate and understanding of our wishes for him. His urn is beautiful and we are so happy to have him back home with us. Thank you Pines.

I do Senior Doberman Rescue and fostering and I've had to say goodbye to more dogs than the average pet owner. I have dealt with various situations in regards to their passing, however I had never had one pass away in their sleep while I was not home until this past Thursday. I found that my 13 year old Doberman, Sir Oliver the Great, had passed away when I got home from work that evening. It was shockingly sad as Ive been able to be there at the end to comfort every other dog except for one who my wife was with. He was my first who died alone in his sleep. As a result I had to scramble and try and find somewhere that could hopefully pick him up the next day as I had to work and could not have taken off with short notice. It was at night so if I couldn't find someone the next morning it would have meant leaving him alone for a full day which was more heartbreaking. I called a few places first thing in the morning but they were not available or didn't do pick up. Then I called Pines, my last resort. A very friendly and understanding lady answered the phone but informed me that their drivers were all booked up for the day and weren't even near my area to try and squeeze me in. I explained my situation and she asked me to hold for a minute and when she came back she notified me that the owner, who herself was off-site handling some other business, might be able to change a few things around and would personally drive to my house and pick him up as soon as she was available if someone could be there to help her. I was able to get home for lunch and meet her just two hours later. She was very respectful helping me gently handle my boy Oliver into a covered crate, covering him with clean blankets and we both carried him and placed him in her vehicle. I got emotional a few times and she of course understood and helped me talk through his loss. She was the first person I talked to about it and spent some extra time with me which was very kind and compassionate. Her and her staff went out of their way to help me and my very special senior Dober boy, on short notice while rearranging their schedule on what was a very busy day for them already. They called and texted me as soon as he was ready for me to pick up which was also very quick. I would recommend them over any other service I've ever used and if you can prepare ahead of time, I definitely recommend calling them directly and arranging all the details with them. They're also incredibly affordable as compared to handling all of it through the vet. They madeWhat could have been a very difficult and even sadder situation much easier for me. Thank you ,Pines thank you!

I recently had to put my baby down, he was a miniature dachshund and he was 14. I was completely heartbroken over this, as people said that "it's just a dog", he was not just a dog to me but my baby and my bestfriend. Pines helped me make the arrangements and was very compassionate any time that I had a question. They didn't try to rush me but they actually took their time while helping me and they understood that this was very difficult for me as i sat and cried on the phone. I would like to thank the staff for their time and compassion so Thank you to all of you! I highly recommend this Cemetery and cremation center!

Such warm and caring staff. I lost my boxer about 4 1/2 year's ago and I was devastated. The empathetic and warm people mean so much while dealing with losing a family furbaby :(. Tomorrow I will be returning with my 14yr old cat 😭 sadly. He passed at home a little less then 4 hrs ago but held and loved. I'm heartbroken and tomorrow will be rough but going to the Pines will aid in this difficult process. It's a beautiful place.Thank you to the great staff and the warm, smooth transition.

This place is amazing and I will be forever grateful to the staff member who helped me. Her name was tonya and she was so nice and made one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in saying goodbye to my dog who was more like my baby and definitely my best friend a whole lot easier to bare. Thank you tonya for being the amazing person you are and for not being judgemental I will be forever grateful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and anybody who has to go through the tragedy of losing your baby should definitely check out pines pet cemetery. To the staff and owners Thank you so very much

I chose The Pines when I wanted to have my beloved kitty, Taz, cremated and I could not have been happier with the service provided. They were attentive to my needs, understood exactly how much Taz had meant to me, and helped me make the best decisions for his memory items. I found the staff to be very compassionate, respectful, and caring, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

They took such good care of my girl and were very patient with me as Inwas incredibly scattered. Gandalf the office cat was the real hero and he added some much needed cheer and humor in an otherwise awful time. I will 100% use them again.

I have been so impressed with everything about The Pines. Heather helped me pick the perfect spot for my little man and has been so compassionate. The grounds and little chapel are so lovely and they made my little man look so beautiful for his viewing. Even the guys that buried my lil man were so kind. I highly recommend The Pines.
Josh Taylor
The Pines is such a wonderful and beautiful place. The grounds are beautifully maintained and very peaceful. I take my little dog (Shih Tzu - little Ralphie) there to the park and walk and he just loves the beautiful grounds. There are places to sit and tons of gorgeous mature trees. The entire place is always so clean. The staff are so caring, friendly, and compassionate. I had some family members take their little Yorkie to be buried there and I was with them during the process. I cannot say enough about how compassionate and caring the staff is at the Pines. During such an emotional and sad time for my cousins, who had just lost their baby Yorkie, they were comforted and allowed time to grieve (not rushed at all) and the staff was there for them for anything they needed. I really thought this was such a special place and I will keep in it mind when my dog passes (although I hope that isn't for a VERY LONG TIME). I think it is a peace of mind for when your best buddy passes away, you will always have a place to visit them. I am so thankful for the Pines Pet Cemetery and for its' wonderful and loving staff. What a FABULOUS place!!!

I had first pet cremated at the Pines in Feb 1984. Since then everyone that has passed as gone there. They helped my family and myself get through the loss of six pets. Their compassion and support is what you need when you lose a furbaby.Recently my father decided to move and when we removed the urns from the flower bed the three oldest were damaged. I called the Pines and took them over the next day. A very nice woman put the remains in a new heavier urn that could hold all three, so the cost was kept to $20 plus tax. Even though they had passed awhile back it was still emotional, but she knew exactly what to say to make it easier.I recomend them to anyone. They are caring people that want to make your grief easier to deal with. As for the one 2 star rating, I'm sure it wasn't an intentional and mistakes happen. I'm sure they were as heartbroken over the error as the customer was. But I have a feeling those mishaps are rare. In the 6 times I have used them, all has been perfect.

We had to use this place sadly twice in a year and 1day. On 1/10/19 for Pede our Jack Russell and 1/11/20 for Willie aka Pughie our pug. Each time we had excellent service. Our Pug we had to bring in after hours and as we pulled up the owner Shannon met us outside to help. I couldn't ask for better caring people to take care of my family. Each time they have made our sad situation just a little easier. I will forever and always be so grateful.
Barbara Blankenship
The people are wonderful and the grounds are amazing. We recently lost our 4 month old kitten and they helped us in so many ways. They cut a lock of her hair for a keepsake and I found a beautiful urn among the many choices they offer. My Little Miss Tripod will stay with me for as long as I live. Thank you Pines Pet Cemetery.

Thank you!

My sweet cat Angus passed suddenly from complications with pneumonia, a shocking devastation to our whole family on 7/19/2013. My vet recommend Pines, and we called and made arrangements that day. Because Angus passed on a Friday, they weren't sure they could get to the animal hospital in time to pick him up before Monday. However, they called the following morning and said that he had been cremated already. Apparently the owner of the facility was in the area that Friday and stopped in to pick him up and even performed the cremation on her own time later that night, which meant so so much to me, they will never know. They also took paw prints and hair clippings, and even divided some of his ash into a small baggie that I plan to send away to a glass artist to have a memorial sculpture made. Every step of the way, they were caring and attentive and compassionate. Their grounds are also gorgeous and peaceful, the perfect spot for anyone who would like to bury their animal. This whole process of losing our dear companion has been so hard on our family, but if it weren't for the loving care of the people at Pines, I can't imagine how much harder it would be. Thank you so much for everything you do.

Beautiful place. Clean environment. Staff is polite, friendly, and very respectful. Couldn't recommend them anymore highly. Ive had a couple of cats cremated here for less than $100 each. I dont think I'll ever use a different service.

Today was the second time we picked up a deceased pet's cremains from The Pines. They offer excellent service with great care and compassion. Last time we went in and browsed for an urn. This time because of Covid, it was done online/over the phone with curbside pickup. They made it so easy even with these Covid restrictions. They bring a sense of calm and peace when your world feels out of control. They are a comfort in a time of sorrow. Their grounds should you choose internment there are utterly beautiful. I have my urns at home for the time being but will eventually take advantage of internment options for them in the future. Wonderful establishment with caring, compassionate staff.

I would most definitely, without reservation, highly recommended this cemetery-cremation center to anyone reading these words. My beloved companion dog of 10 years died in my van Monday morning at 6:30am while we were waiting at the vet's office to open at 7:30.While waiting that hour, after he passed, for them to arrive, I looked for a cremation center to take my friend. I found one in Milford. They didn't allow walk in drop offs, but had a link to have them call you back when they opened at 9am. (They actually did call me back at 8:40 but I was already at Pines thank god). When the vet tech arrived she offered to take my Joe and make the arrangements. I told her I would rather take him and she gave me a flyer for Pines. She said they allowed walk in drop offs and they opened at 9am.I arrived a little after 8am and waited for them to open.Side note here ***********Google maps will take you to the wrong entrance. It will take you to the back entrance by the owners home. If your coming from Morrow/Maineville way your GPS will tell you your at the entrance, but you need to jog around a couple of curves and turn right about a 1/4 mile down. If you're coming from Lebanon, Rt48, you'll need to turn left, at the point your GPS tells you to turn left in 1/4 mile. While waiting for them to open a man doing trash came by and told me he thought they were already in at the main building and pointed me that way. I had been waiting at the back entrance and had no clue of the glorious place I was in.Pines cemetery is as beautiful a cemetery as I have ever been in. My father is buried in Spring Grove cemetery, and while it's way way larger and very historic, Pines is as impeccably groomed, beautiful, peaceful and comforting as Spring Grove.Even though I was there at 8:30am Tonya graciously stopped her early morning, before opening work to assist me.She was so kind and helpful. Because their prices were so affordable I was able to preserve my beloved dog in a beautiful urn.The owner, Shannon, came down and helped Tonya with my sweet Joe. They were both so kind and comforting. They allowed me to spend time with Joe, and then sweetly covered him with a blanket and took him away.I got a call at 4:15pm that afternoon to let me know Joe was ready to be picked up.I can't tell you how thankful I was to have my sweet Joe Oso back beside me in about 24 hours since I said my last goodbye, and my last stroke of his head.I had never thought about where the cremains of my pet's should go when I die. If they can't be with me in death, I want them interred here.If you're looking for a special place to bury your pet, I can't imagine you could find a nicer place than this anywhere in the country. I couldn't conceive anyone coming here to check this place out, and not being as absolutely blown away as I am.I will forever recommend Pines Cemetery to everyone I know... and people I don't know, if I know they would need their services.I am so very grateful to you for the outstanding services you provided me on Monday. Thank you!

The pine employee have been wonderful to me and my cat is buried at the pines and my third one is there for cremation now I thought the fee was a little high since she was only 2 lbs. Thank you for caring for my babiesPam Johnston

During our visit yesterday, we approached 1 of your grounds crew with a question. He was gracious enough to leave his mower to speak with us. It is obvious he enjoys his work and knows the importance of it. This is the kind of care we have always appreciated from your staff.
Gina Penn
I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone who wishes to bury or cremate their beloved pets. The staff are all very compassionate and helpful. They take care of your family member as if it was their own. I am picking up my girl's cremains today. It's almost an hour's drive away and wouldn't think twice about it. If you want to do right by your pet, you'll bring them here.

The Pines is a compassionate, caring, and beautiful cemetery . I recently lost my 2 Australian Shepherds 10 months apart Ruby of 12 years and her son Rusty of 11 years.I had them both cremated and the staff were wonderful in my time of sorrow. I would definitely recommend the Pines to anyone .

Thank you for caring for our pets and creating a final resting place for all pets. I enjoy the grounds at the Pines while taking my morning walks. I live near by and love to come walk the ground while my dog runs around. I recommend visiting the Koi Pond, the fish are beautiful!! Thanks for all that you have done.
Stephanie Cavaliero
Had a wonderful experience in one of the hardest moments losing my childhood pet. I couldn't thank them enough. The cemetery is beautiful and I am sure I would have enjoyed it more under different circumstances. The staff was wonderful start to finish. I can now take comfort knowing she is back home ❤😿

Jimmy Parchman

Nicole Marie
Recently, our dog crossed the rainbow bridge and Pines handled his cremation. We appreciate how kind the staff was with our baby boy, and how quickly we were able to bring him back home with us💙 We also drove through the park itself, and it is very beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend this facility for your furbaby should you need it🐾

Our pet tank a large dog he passed away on new years eve 2020. They came and picked him up that day. I was so grateful they are awesome and caring. Thanks to the whole staff.

My daughter's cat passed away after a lengthy illness and we chose the Pines because it came highly recommended by a family member. We chose to cremate. My daughter picked out an urn, a locket thing and she wanted to have a paw print done in ink. We were the last customers of the day and my daughter was worried they would forget the paw print. Well they did. She went to pick her up the next day and they DID NOT do the paw print. The last thing my daughter wanted and they simply forgot. We're sorry was all we got. Now her cat is cremated and there isn't anything we can do about it. Oh, they said they would return the $6.00 we paid for it. Big deal! The paw print meant more to my daughter than that. Thank you for taking away the last thing she could have. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. They are disrespectful and disgraced my daughter. Keep your measly $6.00 because you won't get any more services from me or anyone else I know.
Pookabeans
I'm glad I chose this place. They were very kind, respectful and affordable. I was surprised by the poems they sent and very thankful for them. Thank you for everything you've done for Koko, and do for so many.

I lost my precious kitty-girl, "Marbles" on July 12th, 2012, just 4 weeks shy of her 17th birthday, due to illness. The vet I took her to, who helped with Marbles' crossing over, is affiliated with The Pines. I called to make cremation arrangements and the folks there were so sweet and sympathetic! They always referred to Marbles by name, and reassured me that she would have the best of care. They answered all my questions and helped me choose an urn--a dark walnut box with a place for a photo and a plaque that I could have engraved. When I brought my Marbles back home, I was so happy to see that the folks at The Pines included not only a lovely memorial certificate--but also a sample of her fur in a little baggie with her name on it! Along with the paw prints the vet had made for me, the fur meant a LOT to me, too--bless their hearts!! I HIGHLY recommend The Pines, the folks there are so understanding and helpful and loving! My Marbles now "sits" on my bed, one of her favorite places of hers when she was alive and where I nursed her during her final days. Her box of keepsakes, photos and videos are in a special place. I can't thank The Pines enough for easing my pain and making it possible for Marbles to still be with me.

Excellent establishment. Professional, compassionate and caring. Have had them care for three of my pets. Won't take my babies anywhere else. This staff truly cares about you and the after care of your beloved pet. Highly recommend.
Amy Krier
Over the years we have had 5 beloved pets cremated here. Everytime the staff is very sensitive to our grief. Everytime they have come through for us. The Pines is a wonderful place to help you when you need it. A total asset to the community.
Pat Strang
Very friendly staff who will very kindly guide you through the tough process of losing your loved one. Would highly highly recommend the pines.
Judith Vonderheide
The only place we have and will continue to take our pets for their final resting place. Staff is compassionate. They are outstanding.
Rich G
Was recommend by several people that they were top of the line place. First, they never called my vet to schedule a pickup my vet had to call them. Then I paid for a paw print cast and they messed up the paper work and didn't get one. I'll never recommend them to anyone.
cutecuddly pets
Very sympathetic and caring. Remembers each costumer and is very patient with you. Yes they can get busy and backed up but still they can make you feel welcome. They know the last thing you need in your grieving hour is more grief.
Dawn Crawford, M. Ed.
When I felt no one could understand the loss of our small pet I was comforted by the amazing people at The Pines. My pet and I were treated with dignity and care and I felt so much better knowing that they were taking care of us.

Marietta Mercer
Such warm and caring staff. I lost my boxer about 4 1/2 year's ago and I was devastated. The empathetic and warm people mean so much while dealing with losing a family furbaby :(. Tomorrow I will be returning with my 14yr old cat 😭 sadly. He passed at home a little less then 4 hrs ago but held and loved. I'm heartbroken and tomorrow will be rough but going to the Pines will aid in this difficult process. It's a beautiful place.Thank you to the great staff and the warm, smooth transition.
Megan Lawson

Kati Taylor

Little Miss Tri-pod's mom.

I cannot share how much I love pines! I have had two pets cremated there and they are class. From start to finish they care! I picked up my baby girl this morning from there and am completely in awe on how they followed the details of how I wanted it to happen. Thank you all so much at pines!!!

Just had to get my Maltese Prince cremated yesterday, and the Pine’s staff were amazing. They let me have my time with Prince before saying goodbye and were very understandable, and made everything so easy for me. Thank you guys so much!

Me and my family have used them a couple of times. When we had a house fire in February and sadly lost almost all of our beloved pets, they were very understanding and compassionate. I highly recommend them ❤️

I have two pets buried at Pines Pet Cemetery. The staff is very caring and compassionate. Service is excellent. The grounds are extraordinarily beautiful. It is much better maintained than most human cemeteries.

We have used their services twice in the past few years. It’s always a difficult and emotional time. This last time, we were unable to enter the building due to COVID, so I could not view the urns. I had to view their selection online, which was ok. There isn’t any other place that I would take my beloved pet for their final resting.

Staff was very kind and helpful during this trying time. Our Kitty was handled with love, respect, and care.

This is hard...... . I have Ruggles, Buttons, Toby, Spencer, and my ferrets: Frack, Lily, and Pixie Stick buried at your place. It would be comforting to me if you could take a picture of my pets graves.I live 16 hours away, but would like to see their graves.

This place is amazing. I appreciate everything that they have done for my babe boy Brinks. Thank you for make everything rite.

Thank you!
Pam Johnston

Out of curiosity went to view some headstones for animals, which I seen many beautiful ones. Went in the morning hours, and smelled "Burger King". I asked a worker who was clearing off a headstone why there was a smell of Burger King, and was told, when a dog or any animal is cremated, that was the smell. To this day, will not eat Burger king hamburger's because of it.
Marlene Cobb
So compassionate, ready to help and this is with every person you meet. We have had 5 losses in the last 7 years, and I would never trust my treasured furbaby with anyone else.

We have used their services twice in the past few years. It’s always a difficult and emotional time. This last time, we were unable to enter the building due to COVID, so I could not view the urns. I had to view their selection online, which was ok. There isn’t any other place that I would take my beloved pet for their final resting.
