This is one of the toughest decisions that anyone can make. Anyone who's had pets before knows this. These people are like angels sent from heaven though. They make a very hard experience comfortable, and they are very sweet and professional people. They know exactly what they are doing and know exactly the emotions that you and your family are going through. They made the crossing of our Doberman Marley as peaceful and comtorble as it could be. They come right to your home and walk you through the whole process and make it as easy as possible for you to have the most peaceful last moments with your most precious friend. They also arrange to have the remains cremated and returned in a beautiful manner. My family cannot thank you enough.

Kathleen and John were kind and professional. My little Jazzy was the love of my life and they helped me ease her gently into doggy heaven. Even though my vet is wonderful, going into the office would have stressed her out, as it isn’t her favorite place. She fell asleep over my shoulder, which has been her perch for her entire life. She was comfortable, calm, and knew she was loved. I wasn’t there for her first breath, but I was there for her last one.

We cannot say enough great things about Daisy Creek. We were faced with the difficult decision to help one of our elderly rescue cats, Yami, cross the rainbow bridge. She never did well at a veterinary office and were were concerned about her stress in her final moments. After speaking with Dr. Kathleen Durfee, we scheduled a time for her and her husband Dr. John to perform the services at our home. They were kind, empathetic and professional. Yami's favorite place to be was the back porch, and she was allowed to be there comfortably and surrounded by love during her passing. As a pet owner, you know this time will come at some point. This service offered by Daisy Creek made the hardest day so much more comforting and peaceful. I would recommend anyone who is facing the same decision to contact Daisy Creek.

I never thought anything could ever make the moment you are saying goodbye to your pets comforting…until we met Dr's John and Kathleen Durfee. I am beyond thankful to have found these wonderful people who truly act as stewards of the animals as the Lord intended us to be. To say they are kind or caring would be an understatement. These two people bring peace and comfort to a situation that is hard to manage. We were able to say goodbye in our home where our dogs feel comfortable and safe and we could be gathered as a family. We had two beautiful pets pass in 4 months time and we just could not have gotten through it without you. From myself and my family, thank you and may God bless you and all the work you do!

Searching for someone to help your pet across the rainbow bridge is one of the most stressful things I’ve done. But finding Dr John and Kathleen was a blessing to our family. I would recommend them to anyone. They were kind, compassionate and absolutely amazing with our dog and family. They explained things to us every step of the way and gave us the space we needed with our sweet pup to say goodbye. I’m infinitely grateful for their support during this time.

My elderly greyhound went downhill suddenly on Sunday, Jan 21st. My husband and I knew that, if she didn't improve by the next morning, it was her time. Sure enough, the following day, we knew she was ready to let go.I called EVERY in-home euthanasia and mobile vet I could find, and no one could help us until the next day. We really didn't want to make our poor girl wait another 24hrs but reluctantly made an appointment. Then Dr Kathleen called and told me she could be with us within TWO HOURS. I cannot express the depth of gratitude I have for her. She has a gentle and genuine presence, and was wonderful with my dog and ourselves (we humans being a total mess!). She made it so that my beloved girl passed peacefully. There was no pain, no stress. My husband and I held her head gently and loved on her while she slipped from this world.Dr Kathleen was upfront about pricing before she arrived, which I appreciated. Then she stepped us through what she would do, and what our cremation options were. Today, Jan 23rd, our girl was returned to us by the crematorium in a beautiful urn with a paw print and some fur. ♥️Any vet who does this kind of work has a heart as big as the ocean. I hope that Dr Kathleen knows how much we appreciate her. She offered us such a gift by helping our girl pass at home with family. The work she is doing is incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough.Thank you, Dr Kathleen, for helping Kaylee pass with dignity, love, and comfort. ♥️

Cannot recommend Daisy Creek Veterinary Care enough. Dr’s John and Kathleen Durfee were so compassionate and set my heart and mind at ease with making the difficult and immensely sad decision to put my sweet dog down right before the holidays. I know my dog received the best care in his final hour and I am forever grateful to have chosen Daisy Creek. Thank you for all that you both do.

Dr. John & Kathleen Durfee are the most kind, empathetic and professional veterinarians I have ever met. They provided in home euthanasia services for my 14 year old pup Sadie. They had so much compassion for Sadie and everything we were going though. They were great at communicating and letting us know what to expect every step of the way. They handled everything with Faithful Companions Cremation Services and made sure Sadie and her remains were well taken care of. All we had to do was love on Sadie one last time, and I’m so glad that they allowed us to do it from the comfort of our own home. I can’t recommend their services enough and there are no words to describe the amount of gratitude and appreciation I have for them.

There are not enough stars for Dr. Durfee. My goldendoodle of almost 12 years was really struggling to breath. I called and there was no openings but once Dr. Durfee heard how bad my golden was she dropped everything and split her appointments just to help my Maverick. She would have to drive almost an hour and a half. I pre-paid knowing the inevitable. Sadly, my dog passed before Dr. Durfee could make it. She was on the road to help assist and after her long drive, 20 minutes away I notified her that Maverick had passed. She was so caring and kind. She even made arrangements for Faithful Companion to come and transfer my dog for his cremation. She refunded all my money back and would not take a dime even though I offered because she went above and beyond for me and my family. We are so amazed how wonderful and thoughtful this place is. Do not look in the phone books or websites and pick some random place for your animal. This place cares and has a heart of gold. I highly recommend. Forever grateful!!

Dr. John and Kathleen Durfee are hands down the most caring, professional, and empathetic veterinarians I have ever come across. I had recieved their number from another veterinarians office as I was frantically looking for someone to come to our house and help our sweet 12 year old Potbelly Pig Loretta be put to rest. From our very first phone call, Dr. Kathleen Durfee put me at ease. The only thing I wanted for our sweet girl was to be comfortable and to cross the rainbow bridge peacefully. They did that plus so much more. They were kind, respectful, and patient. They offered suggestions to help our girl relax before they came, and they took every precaution to make sure she was comfortable. They explained each step to us to ensure we understood what was happening and they allowed us time to say our goodbyes. On top of this, they also arranged transport to Faithful Companion for cremation to make this incredibly difficult time so much easier. I can never truly thank them enough for the gift they gave to us and our Loretta in the final moments of her life.

We recently had to make the very sad decision to say goodbye to our beautiful little Coco. We knew we wanted to say goodbye in our home and contacted Daisy Creek Vets. Dr. Kathleen Durfee was so kind and her and her husband, Dr. John Durfee, were able to come on a Sunday - I am so thankful that they did this, as our little dog was quite sick. The compassionate and kind care these wonderful doctors gave was so impressive. They told us they prayed for us on the way over and they allowed us the time needed to allow Coco’s passing to be peaceful. I held my little Coco the whole time and she passed in my arms, surrounded by love. Thank you to these doctors for this precious gift - their love of God and animals shines through. If you have to make this hard decision I cannot recommend Daisy Creek Vets enough.

After saying good bye to two other pets in four years, we knew when it was nearing time to say goodbye to our nearly 19 year old dog. We couldn't bear the thought of last moments in a cold bright vet office and the drive there with a pet in crisis (as with other pets). I was nervous about in-home services. I started looking into services in our area months before needed so we would be ready. Dr. Kathleen talked to me about the experience and sent info for me/my family to read before hand to be sure we understood what to expect. When Dr. Kathleen and Dr. John Durfee arrived, it was like we were old friends. They were kind, compassionate and patient to hear memories of our sweet dog and how he came to our family. To say goodbye to our last pet in such a loving, peaceful way was more than we hoped for. Thank you for giving us those bittersweet and loving final moments with our dog.

Having my cat put to sleep was the hardest decision I've had to make. She was suffering and taking her to the vet or hospital for it would only make her final moments even scarier so I asked around and Daisy Creek was recommended to me. They are so caring and understanding that it really made the process a lot less stressful. I was able to hold my big baby in my arms, in our home, as she gently passed away. It was a horrible day, but they made it a lot easier for me. If I ever have to make that decision again, I would definitely want them to be the ones to do it.

Daisy Creek vet was not only quick to respond but more importantly so kind and compassionate with our kitty that was in a lot of pain and stressed from the vet. They came promptly, they were respectful and it was a comfort to have to put our cat down in our own home to have all the time we needed with him. Even though we are sad, this was the best we could have done for our baby. Thank you so much for helping us have a peaceful goodbye.

Reaching out was the best decision. The passing of our dog was not a surprise, but it did require an unexpected timely response. Without hesitation, they were with us that very evening. From the moment Dr. Durfee come into our home, they made it clear our only need was to be present with our pup. They provided knowledgeable support, patiencefor the process, and an abundance of kindness. I can honestly say, our dog passed without stress or pain because of their care. I am so grateful that I could choose this for her. Thank you for help me, and her in our greatest time of need. All the gratitude for you and what you do.

It took a while to be able to write a review and it brings up a lot of sorrow, but I feel compelled to share how incredible it was to have Drs. Durfee around as we came to the difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog. They were extremely prompt in their response and juggled their schedules to accommodate us. When they arrived, to say that they understood the difficulty would be a true understatement. They gave us all of the time we needed, explained the process, and cried with us. If you are in the unfortunate situation of putting a pet down, call Daisy Creek. As heart wrenching as this process was, their presence was priceless.

Our family includes 1 dog, three cats, and 3 hamsters. My little sisters hamster suddenly came down with a sickness and we didn't want her to suffer anymore, Daisy Creek came the next day at an early 9am and helped put her to rest. Out of the numerous places I called, they were the only ones willing to help us out while the other vets refuse to euthanize hamsters. We are forever grateful to have found Daisy Creek and we will definitely be recommending them and using them in the future for our pets. They are knowledgeable, respectful, and we were so grateful that they could come so soon.

I can’t recommend Daisy Creek and the Drs. Durfee highly enough. They are such a blessing to anyone losing a 4-legged family member. I called Dr. Durfee a couple weeks ago, not quite knowing when it would be time. She walked through everything with me, including some thoughts to give Onyx the best last few good days. It gave me such relief to know we had a good plan. I contacted them yesterday, on a holiday, when I knew it was time. They came that evening - late at my request, to allow me to get my toddlers to bed first. The compassion, professionalism, empathy, and care these folks bring is out of this world. So incredibly grateful for them.

We loved our dog. She was so sweet and well behaved. Unfortunately she started having seizures and over the years the seizures became more serious. We were really torn about what to do for our sweet dog.It is difficult to say goodbye to a pet. I’m so thankful I found Dr. & Dr. Durfee. They have the perfect combination of compassion and knowledge. They are professional and kind and although we wish things could have been different for our dog, I know she went in peace with no discomfort at all. I can personally say that the sad experience was made a little better thanks to these veterinarians.Thank you Dr. & Dr. Durfee! So grateful for your service.

Our husky, Bella, took a sudden turn for the worse, so we had to find a vet that could come and help her pass on that very same day. Dr. Kathleen Durfee was wonderful. She was incredible the entire time from talking and texting before to the process itself and even afterwards. She was just the vet we needed in such a difficult time. Thank you Kathleen!
Rebecca James
Was not able to get in with my local vets in Stark County due to availability booking out several weeks, but they were able to fit me in urgently and travel longer distance than other Cleveland area vets who would not come this far south. They were very kind, gentle and professional. Grateful to their service that I was able to fulfill my promise to my boy that if the time ever came, I would not make his last moments be in the cold sterility of a vet office. I definitely recommend them although they were about double the cost of my local mobile vets, but I would have had to prolongue my boys suffering if I waited several more weeks. If you think your beloved's time is coming, plan ahead for several weeks out and prepare financially for more cost than you may have anticipated.

I want to say thank you for coming to my Beethoven's needs during his emergency. Losing a fur baby is never easy but you made it a very settling and peaceful experience for me and my family. This was the most on point, professional and compassionate experience of loss I have ever endured. I feel fortunate that under the worst of circumstances, you made this time very peaceful for us. ❤

I cannot recommend them enough. They made this process so much easier and talked us through each step. I couldn’t have picked better vets to help my dog cross the rainbow bridge.

The Drs. Durfee at Daisy Creek deserve all their accolades, and here's another. After a preliminary talk when I wasn't sure what I was going to do, I called back and was able to have Dr. Durfee at my home within a couple hours to euthanize my 16+ yr old cat Molly. Molly was sleeping when Dr. Durfee arrived and to my surprise she didn't stir while Dr. Durfee and I sat near her talking quietly. Dr. Durfee is a very kind, gentle, sensitive, and empathetic person. I never felt rushed or pressured. I felt more like a friend in need than a customer. After 10-15 minutes she injected the anesthesia through a tiny needle and Molly did wake and hiss, but immediately fell back to sleep. Dr. Durfee did a physical exam and helped me make peace with my decision. I spent another 5 minutes or so petting and talking to Molly, then Dr. Durfee continued with great care and consideration and Molly was gone. She was placed gently on velvet cushion in a box just her size, with a soft blanket over her. I opted for private cremation and her ashes would normally have been returned within 24 hours, but instead I received a phone call saying road conditions were too bad and delivery would be delayed 24 hours. Since I knew conditions were supposed to be even worse I was shocked when in fact her ashes were delivered - on a Sunday, during a near blizzard. I would have understood another day's delay and consider this to be outstanding service. I also appreciated the printed materials delivered with her cremains, which included some counseling options and a journaling guide which I plan to complete. Molly only felt that one quick prick and otherwise it was a gentle, tranquil experience for us both. I hope Daisy Creek will be available for my dog when her various conditions worsen, and I recommend Daisy Creek without hesitation to anyone facing this sad decision.
