Ron sat and listened to everything we wanted and then exceeded all of our expectations. He was kind, compassionate, professional, and very knowledgeable of every component of the process. My dad passed away in 2011. Ron Gard took care of his funeral arrangements for our mom, me, and my siblings. He exhibited both expertise and empathy. My mom passed away a few months ago. It’s often said that one doesn’t necessarily remember what a person says, but rather how s/he makes you feel. Our experience with Ron was so good that I actually remembered his name when it came time to choose a funeral home to take care of Mom’s service. Once again, his compassion was evident. Each detail was attended to and we didn’t have to worry about the many overwhelming things that come with burying a loved-one. My husband will plan our funerals ahead of time and there’s no one I would trust to take care of those important decisions than Ron Gard and the funeral home which he represents.

The staff helped with everything and stayed in contact with you the entire time. After the services the staff dropped the flowers off to the house, and reached out several times to check on our entire family. I had attended a small service about 3 weeks prior to my mom's passing at the Gratis location. Even though it was in the midst of remodeling at the time, my wife and I really felt the small town love in that place. Ron really put a nice touch on the service as well. The very next week I began talking with them to make pre-arrangements for my mother as she was failing quickly. Long story short, Elizabeth and Ron were amazing to work with and really made our experience for moms burial the best it could have been. Even though you can't put a price tag on all that, theirs was better than any of the big names you might see commercials for... 100% satisfied

We recently engaged with Gard following the death of our beloved 95 -year-old aunt. We received nothing but caring, thoughtful, professional service. Each staff member we encountered respectfully walked us through the task at hand. There was never any pressure, all our questions were answered, all our requests followed to a T. The professionals at Gard went above and beyond as they accompanied us through the rituals associated with saying goodbye to a loved one. We chose them because they had taken over the funeral home in Gratis; where I grew up. My brother had passed and he wanted a normal service. The folks, Ron and Josie were awesome.They were so patient with my younger brother and me.Later when we started to look for a headstone; hitting dead ends. My dad passed away in 2011. Ron Gard took care of his funeral arrangements for our mom, me, and my siblings. He exhibited both expertise and empathy. My mom passed away a few months ago. It’s often said that one doesn’t necessarily remember what a person says, but rather how s/he makes you feel. Our experience with Ron was so good that I actually remembered his name when it came time to choose a funeral home to take care of Mom’s service. Once again, his compassion was evident. Each detail was attended to and we didn’t have to worry about the many overwhelming things that come with burying a loved-one. My husband will plan our funerals ahead of time and there’s no one I would trust to take care of those important decisions than Ron Gard and the funeral home which he represents.

Rating a funeral home means you have lost a loved one and your going through a very difficult time in your life. Gard Funeral home went above and beyond showing that they cared. The staff helped with everything and stayed in contact with you the entire time. After the services the staff dropped the flowers off to the house, and reached out several times to check on our entire family. I would have never expected a funeral home staff to show such compassion and caring for everyone like they did.

Josie went above and beyond answering questions and dealing with all of it. We had many funerals in 2020 and one was our son. Ron and Angie were so compassionate and did so many extra things to make this traumatic time as seamless as possible. They go above and beyond from other experiences we had other places. I can assure you that you couldn’t be treated better anyplace else. We had never met them before our son’s death and we were treated like we were their best friends. They are the best. We are so fortunate to have them in our town.

I had attended a small service about 3 weeks prior to my mom's passing at the Gratis location. Even though it was in the midst of remodeling at the time, my wife and I really felt the small town love in that place. Ron really put a nice touch on the service as well. The very next week I began talking with them to make pre-arrangements for my mother as she was failing quickly. Long story short, Elizabeth and Ron were amazing to work with and really made our experience for moms burial the best it could have been. Even though you can't put a price tag on all that, theirs was better than any of the big names you might see commercials for... 100% satisfied

My husband passed March 31 of this year. Very unexpected. We had moved to Eaton 8 months ago so very new to the community.
