First time Cremating one of our dogs. Had many questions and concerns about the process, but they were able to qualm all my worries to our satisfaction. Once I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Christine, who called two of the technicians to the front to provide me with a tour of the facility and various machines. They both were very knowledgeable explaining the entire process.Everyone succeeded in making me feel very comfortable about what I was getting ready to do to my beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I certainly do and will recommend this company to anyone who may need their services.

My 16 year Havanese crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday and with the compassionate help of Dr. Tayloe who was incredible, I trusted her choice of pet cremation services. Today, less than 24 hours later my little man is back at home, along with his friends that have crossed the rainbow bridge before him. Perkins were not only compassionate and very professional, I felt that they went above and beyond taking care of my little man and presenting him so so well. The home delivery was a bonus, as well as some fur and my babies footprint. Perkins made a heartbreaking time just that much tolerable. Keep up the great work, you have definitely made a difference for me.

This is probably my 10th pet having cremated and these folks by far are the best. My sweet boy came back in a beautiful box, paw print , document but the most touching thing was a lock of his coat. My vet said they are the best and they truly are! Thank you for taking such good care of our boy❤️

My family and I have had three dogs cremated by this company and are so grateful for them. They came to our house and gently put them on a stretcher with blankets and a pillow. They took great care in dealing with them. And we got their ashes back the following day in the beautiful wood box. We did a paw print for one of the dogs which turned out great. They just made the difficult and sad process, peaceful and easy.

You can’t ever really say thank you to people that help when you’re going through one of your worst days. But the compassion and professionalism from all of the staff helped myself and my family and we really felt cared for. From the hectic calls we made, the drop off and pick up, and the way our kitty was cared for, we really felt like Perkins’ staff was there to help us and take care of our fur baby. Thank you for the compassion and kindness. I received my call the my big boy was ready to come home. The gentleman , who called, sounded extremely kind and compassionate. He brought my big boy back home. I was not home when he did but my husband was. We were not expecting such a wonderful box with a beautiful urn, a paw print of Brutus, a small velvet bag with a lock of Brutus's fur and a certificate. It made us cry.

While I have had the misfortune of having to utilize Perkins several times in the past few years, it has been an incredible comfort to know that my pets have been in good hands with them. I have had to say goodbye to two of my dogs, and both times I received a beautiful wooden box with their ashes, a clay paw print, as well as a lock of their fur and a note from Perkins.But recently, I had to say goodbye to my 19 year old leopard gecko. I had no idea Perkins even could accommodate such a small animal. But I was FLOORED when I received her ashes. The exact same level of care was given to my little lady that i have seen for dogs and cats. Oftentimes reptiles are not given the same level of consideration as other, larger animals. But both her vet (Paws and Claws) and Perkins clearly gave her the love she deserved. I received another wooden box (smaller, of course, and perfect for her), a clay footprint of both of her front feet (how did they even pull that off? Miracle workers!), and another note as well. I could not have imagined such a wonderful setup for my little lizard, and Perkins did such an incredible job.Better yet, when I called to thank them, the office manager knew my girl by name. Such kindness in a difficult time could not be overstated.While the loss of a pet is a tremendous sadness, it is a great comfort to know that Perkins is here to take wonderful care of them after they're gone. In many cultures, those who care for the dead are held in the highest regard. Perkins deserves that level of honor and more. God bless each and every one of them, from me and my old girl Geek.

Perkins goodbye hugs and JB were a huge blessing in my life with the loss of our 12 year old dog. They met me at my house and so gently, with dignity, removed him fromOur home, wrapped up in warm blankets. They delivered our Cooper in private cremation box back to us within a day. Perkins and No Place Like Home vet made a very terrible day a little bit easier. The sweet folks at Perkins came and picked up our beloved Tink and offered to drop her back of the next day. Because I was in the area, I just picked her up. The team was so sweet and the service was worth it completely. We recently lost our dog, Marley. He passed away at home and we tried calling other pet crematories multiple times before finding Perkins. I talked to Jim on the phone and he was so helpful. The next day we took Marley in and Jim was so patient and compassionate with us. He let us have the time we needed to say goodbye and then explained everything to us. We received his package two days later and it even included a sweet note from Perkins. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish and it made a difficult time a little more bearable. We lost our dear Finley unexpectedly yesterday. Our vet handled everything with Perkins. I was expecting her remains in a box in about 2 weeks. I was shocked when the vet called today to let us know we could bring our sweet girl home. Our dog had to be put to sleep unexpectedly due to uncontrollable seizures. We called Perkins to arrange cremation services. Christine was beyond helpful in answering all of our questions. They picked our dog up from the hospital immediately after our call, and Perkins performed the cremation services and quickly had him back to us the very next morning. Everyone we worked with at Perkins was beyond phenomenal and sympathetic during such a difficult time for us. Highly recommend.

On one of the toughest days of our lives, Bob was so wonderful to us. Our sweet boy Goliath crossed the rainbow bridge on 1/27/2022. Bob came promptly to pick him up with such love, respect and true compassion. When we picked him up the next day, Jade was also so compassionate. We received our dogs ashes yesterday, I didn't know what to expect. I slowly opened the package and was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful carved wooden box. Also an extremely thoughtful Christmas ornament paw print impression in clay and a lock of hair. Our vet set up everything with Perkins Goodbye Hugs after we had to put down our sweet beloved boy Archie. They had told us what a beautiful job they do. We picked up the box yesterday. We were amazed at the care and consideration of all of it. The paw print, which I didn't know was included, was perfect and I held it for so long because I didn't want to put it back in the box until we find a better place. I recently had to lay by baby down. I have always carried my babies to Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation Service , but this time I was so upset and it was done at emergency vet and the vet said they used southeastern not thinking and being upset i agreed. It was truly a terrible mistake and i have so much regret and feel like i didn't do right by my lil girl. I was so upset when i got my baby back ! She was an afterthought and a dollar with Southeastern. I can't say enough good things about Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation Service . If you want compassionate carrying people that you can depend on taking as much care and love as you would they are the way to go . I DEFINITLY WOULD NOT USE SOUTHEASTERN !!! I am so upset with myself for making that mistake

Very sweet service in light of a sudden and unexpected passing. Joseph and Bob were very kind and thoughtful when they came to our house. I recently used Coastal Pet Hospice, an at-home euthanasia service, for my sweet pup who was battling cancer. They work with Perkins in providing crematory services and I cannot recommend Perkins enough. The staff was so patient and comforting during the whole process. Saying goodbye to your loved ones is so difficult but Perkins helps make it peaceful and special. The time and care they put into their services show how passionate they are about bringing closure to families.

We were very distraught over the loss of our cat. We requested to keep her ashes. When we picked them up at the Vet office I was quiet surprised to have a black box with her name on it handed to me. We didn't open it till we were home. We couldn't believe what we found. The pictures you see on this site is what you really do receive. It really helped in relieving some of the grief we were having. I had regret asking for some of her hair at the vet office, so when I saw that clipping of hair along with the wooden urn and paw print I cried. They treated the cremation of our precious pet with such dignity and respect for us. If you ever have to experience the decision to cremate your pet ask your vet facility if they use this companies services. If not I would certainly recommend that you do.

I highly recommend Goodbye Hugs to anyone that loses a pet that they love. When our girl Sophia died somewhat unexpectedly, Jim was very accommodating and made himself available that weekend morning. I felt that they respected our grief handled things with dignity. I was home alone while my wife and daughters were out of town, which made the experience even more distressing. My family was comforted by the atmosphere and actions they experienced when picking up Sophia.

He was returned to us in a beautiful wooden box, complete with name plate, along with his clay paw print and a bag of his hair. I have mixed feelings about my experience with My Pet Passages. I dropped my dear cat off on Tuesday around 4:30pm and was told by Karri to pick him back up the next day at around the same time. The next day I arrived at that time and the first thing she said when I walked through the door was, "You're lucky I was here. I was about to go home." Apparently she had called my phone (I guess to ask me to come earlier) and my voicemail box was full. I found her comment and behavior to be extremely rude and insensitive. I just lost my pet, which is family to me. I wasn't late; I arrived at the time we AGREED to the day before. I work full time and I can't just take off whenever I want to.However, I will say that they did an excellent job with everything they did. The presentation was beautiful. I ordered two of everything; two urns, two paw prints, two certificates. They even included two locks of his fur. They did it for a reasonable price too and I was very impressed at how nice everything was. Too bad I got treated so crappy.

Perkins and No Place Like Home vet made a very terrible day a little bit easier. The sweet folks at Perkins came and picked up our beloved Tink and offered to drop her back of the next day. Because I was in the area, I just picked her up. The team was so sweet and the service was worth it completely. We recently lost our dog, Marley. He passed away at home and we tried calling other pet crematories multiple times before finding Perkins. I talked to Jim on the phone and he was so helpful. The next day we took Marley in and Jim was so patient and compassionate with us. He let us have the time we needed to say goodbye and then explained everything to us. We received his package two days later and it even included a sweet note from Perkins. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish and it made a difficult time a little more bearable. I would definitely recommend them.

We lost our dear Finley unexpectedly yesterday. Our vet handled everything with Perkins. I was expecting her remains in a box in about 2 weeks. I was shocked when the vet called today to let us know we could bring our sweet girl home. Our dog had to be put to sleep unexpectedly due to uncontrollable seizures. We called Perkins to arrange cremation services. Christine was beyond helpful in answering all of our questions. They picked our dog up from the hospital immediately after our call, and Perkins performed the cremation services and quickly had him back to us the very next morning. Everyone we worked with at Perkins was beyond phenomenal and sympathetic during such a difficult time for us. Highly recommend.

I would definitely recommend Pet Passages as the #1 pet cremation choice in Wilmington North Carolina. I dropped my dog off at 3pm to their super friendly staff and they were delivering her back to me by 1030am the next morning. As arrangements were being made I noticed a large selection of merchandise available and many options. I had also called around price checking and they were the best priced by far.

I was very displeased with their service. While they seemed to be the cheapest in town that I could find, I wish I would have used a different company. Losing my best friend was hard enough, and having the lady be rude repeatedly to me was making the process so much worse. My poor girl passed away early in the morning and while I understand it was an inconvenience for them to come pick my dog up, its not like I could plan her unexpected death. The lady acted like I was beyond annoying her and then after she picked my dog up, gave me a quote that she could not explain. I brushed it off because I was in no shape to negotiate and had used this company before for my roommates dog and the experience was positive. However, when it was time for my dogs remains to be delivered, AGAIN the lady acted like it was a huge inconvienence and was extremely rude when we were trying to figure out a time for her to deliver while I was home. I ended up going to go pick up the remains after she insulted me and she continuously got my dogs name and gender wrong after I corrected her over and over. I didn't expect excellent service, I expected to be treated kindly and with respect while I was grieving my dogs death. The only reason I am not giving 1 star is because of my previously positive experience with this company and that not all of the employees are this rude and unsympathetic, just this particular one.

On one of the toughest days of our lives, Bob was so wonderful to us. Our sweet boy Goliath crossed the rainbow bridge on 1/27/2022. We received our dogs ashes yesterday, I didn't know what to expect. I slowly opened the package and was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful carved wooden box. Our vet set up everything with Perkins Goodbye Hugs after we had to put down our sweet beloved boy Archie. They had told us what a beautiful job they do. We picked up the box yesterday. We were amazed at the care and consideration of all of it. The paw print, which I didn't know was included, was perfect and I held it for so long because I didn't want to put it back in the box until we find a better place. I recently had to lay by baby down. I have always carried my babies to Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation Service , but this time I was so upset and it was done at emergency vet and the vet said they used southeastern not thinking and being upset i agreed. It was truly a terrible mistake and i have so much regret and feel like i didn't do right by my lil girl. I was so upset when i got my baby back ! She was an afterthought and a dollar with Southeastern. I can't say enough good things about Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation Service . If you want compassionate carrying people that you can depend on taking as much care and love as you would they are the way to go . I DEFINITLY WOULD NOT USE SOUTHEASTERN !!! I am so upset with myself for making that mistake

I recently used Coastal Pet Hospice, an at-home euthanasia service, for my sweet pup who was battling cancer. They work with Perkins in providing crematory services and I cannot recommend Perkins enough. The staff was so patient and comforting during the whole process. Saying goodbye to your loved ones is so difficult but Perkins helps make it peaceful and special. The time and care they put into their services show how passionate they are about bringing closure to families.

First off, if you are reading this review then it means that you, like us, have just suffered a great loss for you and your family, and my heart goes out to you! That being said, Jim was great. He was coordinated through our home euthanasia company, and took our dog from the house after we had a chance to say goodbye. I called PGH from my Vet's office indicating I would bring my kitty down. I told her it would be about 10:30 after she was euthanized. I was told to just call when on my way, which I did later. Another woman answered on a cell phone and told e she was on a "pick up" and would be there shortly. I wasn't sure who/what she was picking up...maybe a Uber driver? Distraught and crying I arrive at PGH and there are 2 very large full black plastic trash bags sitting on the floor next to the reception counter. Really welcoming sight at a crematorium. There was no chair, no bench nowhere but a small high stool on which to put the box containing my cat. What would I have done with a larger box? Put her on the floor? An older woman comes out and says hello and says she'll take my cat and put in "in the back" I explained I would wait for the other woman from her "pick up" who arrived shortly after.The woman arrives and without comment goes behind the desk and pulls out some form. She comes around the counter and asks if I want her remains returned. No explanation of the cremation, no explanation of the options, no explanation of the process. Just business as usual. I said I wanted her ashes back. She tells me she is unsure when she will be cremated but I can "probably" pick up the ashes on Thursday or Friday. This was Tuesday morning. I had to ask her if she would be refridgerated until then. She answered oh yes, we won't just leave her "out there". How reassuring. I paid. Got my receipt and as my back was turned and literally half way out the door I get a cursory Sorry for your loss. My take is these people have either been at this too long and have lost the capacity for empathy and compassion or even simple kindness. Or they simply do not care. Either way I will never use their "services" again for my other fur family

We were very distraught over the loss of our cat. We requested to keep her ashes. When we picked them up at the Vet office I was quiet surprised to have a black box with her name on it handed to me. We didn't open it till we were home. We couldn't believe what we found. The pictures you see on this site is what you really do receive. It really helped in relieving some of the grief we were having. I had regret asking for some of her hair at the vet office, so when I saw that clipping of hair along with the wooden urn and paw print I cried. They treated the cremation of our precious pet with such dignity and respect for us. If you ever have to experience the decision to cremate your pet ask your vet facility if they use this companies services. If not I would certainly recommend that you do.

I highly recommend Goodbye Hugs to anyone that loses a pet that they love. When our girl Sophia died somewhat unexpectedly, Jim was very accommodating and made himself available that weekend morning. I felt that they respected our grief handled things with dignity. I was home alone while my wife and daughters were out of town, which made the experience even more distressing. My family was comforted by the atmosphere and actions they experienced when picking up Sophia.

First off, if you are reading this review then it means that you, like us, have just suffered a great loss for you and your family, and my heart goes out to you! That being said, Jim was great. He was coordinated through our home euthanasia company, and took our dog from the house after we had a chance to say goodbye. The next morning, Bosco was back home in a nice wooden urn, with a paw print, and a lock of hair. Thank you Jim! We love you Bosco!

My family and I would like to express how beautifully you arranged our fur baby PJ’s private cremation service, and how quickly it was given back to us. PJIs going to be truly missed by his whole family. We loved him so much! Thank you again for all that you have done.

My wife and I are very pleased with the kindness shown to us by the caring folks at My Pet Passages during the recent passing of our beloved pet. They are professional in every way and took the time to treat us with patience and understanding when we needed it most.

I called PGH from my Vet's office indicating I would bring my kitty down. I told her it would be about 10:30 after she was euthanized. I was told to just call when on my way, which I did later. Another woman answered on a cell phone and told e she was on a "pick up" and would be there shortly. I wasn't sure who/what she was picking up...maybe a Uber driver? Distraught and crying I arrive at PGH and there are 2 very large full black plastic trash bags sitting on the floor next to the reception counter. Really welcoming sight at a crematorium. There was no chair, no bench nowhere but a small high stool on which to put the box containing my cat. What would I have done with a larger box? Put her on the floor? An older woman comes out and says hello and says she'll take my cat and put in "in the back" I explained I would wait for the other woman from her "pick up" who arrived shortly after.The woman arrives and without comment goes behind the desk and pulls out some form. She comes around the counter and asks if I want her remains returned. No explanation of the cremation, no explanation of the options, no explanation of the process. Just business as usual. I said I wanted her ashes back. She tells me she is unsure when she will be cremated but I can "probably" pick up the ashes on Thursday or Friday. This was Tuesday morning. I had to ask her if she would be refridgerated until then. She answered oh yes, we won't just leave her "out there". How reassuring. I paid. Got my receipt and as my back was turned and literally half way out the door I get a cursory Sorry for your loss. My take is these people have either been at this too long and have lost the capacity for empathy and compassion or even simple kindness. Or they simply do not care. Either way I will never use their "services" again for my other fur family

As unfortunate as it is to need them…. They were absolutely so kind, thought and extremely professional. When we got our sweet Zoey back today, I was so in awe of the box and the memory keepsakes.
