Losing a beloved pet is one of the most heartbreaking experiences, and when our ferret tragically passed away, we were utterly devastated. We brought her to Companah Pet Cremation's Sanford office, and I can’t express enough how much their kindness and compassion meant to my family and me during this incredibly difficult time.While the Sanford location may not have the same atmosphere as the Apex location, none of that detracted from the incredible care and service we received. Everyone we encountered was incredibly patient and understanding, treating our situation with the utmost respect and care. They offered words of comfort and practical guidance that truly helped ease the weight of our grief.It’s clear that the team at Companah understands the deep bond we share with our pets and how significant their loss can be. They helped us honor our ferret’s memory in a way that felt deeply personal and respectful.If you are ever in the unfortunate position of needing their services, I can wholeheartedly say that Companah Pet Cremation is a place of warmth and compassion. Despite its imperfections, the Sanford office and its wonderful staff helped us through one of the hardest moments in our lives, and we will always be grateful for their support.

King, my sweet boy was a pain in my butt literally a barking hemorrhoid. Lol He came home with me at 7.5 weeks old. He was born outside Knoxville TN where Morgan Wallen is from. King started off as my emotional support pet, then quickly became one of the family members from there He was like my human children so more like a son. He was such a loyal yet ultra needy cute furbaby and I was blessed to have him 13 years. We went through mental health issues, divorce, my diagnosis disabled and negative effects of lymphedema. When I traveled , mostly via airplane, sodid iHe. We drove from Kentucky to Washington state when my divorce was finalized. Approximately 3000 miles in this huge uhaul truck . Somany had better I wouldn'take it or I couldn't make the drive especially not through to our destination in tacoma where we lived with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. Kiwis Infectious with his love. He stole everyone's heart eventually, therefore making it that much harder when the Lied called him to come home. It was sudden and unexpectedly. His age hadn't crossed my mind and

Companah has gone above and beyond to provide services for my family during the heartbreaking loss of our Mamas. On a Saturday, they promptly provided me with the address where I could bring my pet. Then, on Sunday, while I was on the way, they called to make sure I wasn’t lost, which was incredibly thoughtful and comforting during such a stressful time.Their compassion and care during this difficult moment meant so much to me. They also offer convenient pick-up and drop-off services, making the process even easier for grieving families. Additionally, the pricing for the cremation and the extra services we requested was very reasonable, showing their genuine dedication to helping families in need.Thank you, Companah, for your kindness, support, and exceptional service during this difficult time.

I wish that I could leave more stars. This is my family’s 3rd experience with Companah and my sister used them for her family dog this past December. Losing my baby guinea pig was a very heartbreaking and traumatic experience, but Shannon made things so easy, personable and comforting. She listened, offered understanding and condolences. They even offer door to door service! They came, picked my baby up on Saturday afternoon and just dropped him off at noon today (wed). I cried when they picked him up and cried when they dropped him and all the mementos off; it was all so beautiful. I hope I don’t have to use them again any time soon, but I’ll ALWAYS go back to them.Thank you so much, Shannon and Companah!🖤🌈

Companah euthanized my sweet pups, Brady, on January 2. To this day - six months later - I am still so extremely impressed with this company’s level of communication, turn-around time, productivity, and, most importantly, their compassion. They made the process comfortable for my girls and our family.I very much recommend Companah to help with the after care of your sweet pets.I am writing this review six months later because I just had to call them for information on an at-home euthanasia, and they were STILL so helpful and communicative. Such a pleasure to speak to, especially during such a difficult time.Thank you, Companah, for helping my family during one of its most difficult moments. I will never forget your compassion. My dog Kingston was killed. It was a very sensitive situation. I was so devastated. I called Cophana and spoke with Sean several times. I was a mess. He was so kind and caring!! Not only did he arrange 4 my baby 2 be picked up but he was so comforting 2 me. U would really have 2 know the whole story of what happened 2 my baby but he went above and beyond 2 make me feel as comfortable as possible. He let me know as soon as my boy was in their care and I felt a sense of peace. I knew he would be taken care of. Sean I know I told u this already but u showed me such kindness. U have no idea how much that means 2 me. U are amazing! U are so very appropriated!! This company is the best!! I never knew such a place existed with people that cared for my baby as much as I did without even knowing him because they know how it is 2 lose a beloved part of the family!!! Thanks 2 Sean at Cophana, Holley that picked my boy up and verified it was him 4 me so that I didn't have 2, and Michelle Leigh at Pet Angel Fund I was able 2 bring my boy home where he belongs and is loved!!

I can’t Thank Companah enough! They were so helpful! Our family dog Max passed away unexpectedly and didn’t want to have the vet do the whole process they weren’t going to have our Max back with us for weeks! But Companah was able to get all our memorials of Max within 4days! They did an amazing job, communication was amazing. They sent me an email where I can get to patiently pick out the urn of our choice which worked out great because my husband was gone and he was able to help with the decision. They definitely deserve more than 5 stars! Thank you again Companah for everything!

I can't say enough good things about Companah. Their staff was kind, caring, and provided peace of mind during such a difficult time. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and felt my pain was understood. We all know how hard the passing of a companion can be, so having a company to gracefully guide my little guy to the next part of his life, was absolutely priceless. Not to mention their pioneering efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by offering environmentally sustainable cremations - which is important to my family and I. Great group of people. Loosing our dog of 16 years (Kappy) was so very hard. Companah was very helpful thru the entire process. Even staying open late for me to bring Kappy to them. I was able to call and text them any time and they always responded. I would highly recommend

We don’t have enough words to describe how pleased we are with their services. It was extremely difficult to let our dog (Lucas) go, but having an at homeeuthanasia performed by a Veterinarian and delivering him to Companah for the cremation service made it smoother for us to deal with our loss. Companah was great from the beginning to the end. Compassionate, professional, and very respectful are just a few of the qualities that distinguish them from others. We could not have asked for a better service.Our Lucas was returned in the most professional manner, his ashes were returned to us in a beautiful urn with all the phrases we asked to have engraved on it.Hopefully, we will not need their services for a long time, but when the time comes (still have two additional dogs) we will not hesitate in calling them again.Companah, many thanks! Forever grateful!

They deserve more then 5 stars. They made this hard time with just losing my best friend a whole lot easier. They have a great system. Contacted them after hours and within 30 mins they called me back. They drove and hour to pick up my dog the next day. Shannon responded at all hours of the night and was always quick to respond. They also were flexible and were willing to drive him back so we didn't have to miss work. The memorial they gave mishka was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful way to remember and pay respect to my best friend.Thank you again Shannon and Companah. Highly recommended

Started off great and had high expectations from the reviews. Think the high expectations was what led me down. We have had several animals cremated over the years in different locations, but this was our worst experience yet. I originally did everything online and called to follow up. They told me not to worry that anything I didn't get done could be done in person and the gentleman was very nice on the phone.Upon arrival there's no parking to speak of so we just left the car in the shared driveway. When walking in you get hit with this pungent scent that never before had we smelled and it was very strong! We should have walked out right then and there. No other cremation place we have been to has ever had a scent like that. Instead of taking the heavy box of our dead dog and offering us a seat they proceeded to basically badger me on completing the paperwork on my phone right there and then while standing up holding our beloved dead dog through tears. I thought that was very callous of them and plain rude. They didn't care about our loss or pain. Our small child was in tears beyond herself and there was zero empathy shown in the situation. Upon leaving I immediately regretted going there and wanted to run back in but my husband assured me it would be alright and that our baby was gone anyway. Picking up the ashes was another disappointment. The ashes were in a plain bag sitting on a shelf like as if it was an online order you are just picking up from PetSmart or another store and not the ashes of a beloved family member. Would you do that to human ashes? Just have people come in and pick them up off a shelf? Very uncaring and disrespectful process.Last time we lost one of our animals we walked into a pet cremation place and were greeted with a friendly smile and understanding. We were taken into an office and our pet was taken into another room while we paid and did paperwork. Refreshments and tissues were offered. While in the office we were presented with the process, options and the kids were given a pet grieving booklet. Then we went to the other room where our pet was. The room was decorated with all sorts of pets and a rainbow bridge mural. We got to say our goodbyes and walked out. We received a call to pick up the ashes a week later. Upon picking up the ashes they were in a beautiful wood box they didn't charge extra for, professional looking carry bag that contained paperwork and grief resources and the link to the online obituary of our furry family member. That's how you do outstanding customer service. That's what our experience has been at other places. That's the level of care and respect the animals and grieving families deserve. Companah really needs to evaluate their service and process because it is severely lacking. Zero compassion shown.

Look, losing a beloved pet is a horrible experience. That said, if you come here in your time of need, these folks will do everything possible to make your day less awful. It's been a long while since I experienced this level of empathy, compassion, and attention to detail. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me and my dog's remains with the utmost care. I cannot recommend Companah highly enough.

There genuinely aren’t enough words in the world to explain how phenomenal Companah is. We unexpectedly lost our bunny and from the moment we reached out to them via chat to the moment we picked her up they were absolutely incredible. Their pure kindness and understanding makes such difficult times, a little easier. They love hearing about your pet, you will never feel rushed and that’s something we will forever be grateful for. Knowing we had all the time we needed to say our goodbyes is something we will forever hold near and dear in our hearts. Although the transition of losing our pet was hard, they made it a bit more bearable and I want to say thank you for your service, well done. They were fantastic. Buddy had been with us since my daughter was very young and was a very important part of her life. She was at school when buddy passed away. So between work and getting her home from school they ended up leaving twice to allow her to say goodbye. But never once was there any complaint about be asked to come back. I can only thank them for their compassion!!!

Losing a pet is hard. Bringing them home in a box is even harder. Our baby,Petie, passed unexpectedly last week. Seeing the care Companah put into his final resting place brought so many tears to my eyes.
