Steve is a saint to be able to deal with grieving pet owners for only $250. I lost my 4 year old cat Petra this week when I was fully expecting to take her home from the vet and I'm still heartbroken as I write this. Steve was very kind and even gave her a pawprint that I wasn't expecting. He was quick to take my cat in the same day I had to put her down and I received the box the next day. I will highly recommend Steve to anyone who lost their pet.

Last month I lost my husky baby in my arms due to cancer. Minutes after he had passed I called Steve & he told me to bring him down there. Meeting Steve you can tell he has such a passion for animal care & truly feels for your loss, he is so sweet, gentle, understanding & has a warm personality. I live an hour away, & asked him if he could mail us my son’s ashes, & he did without question! Receiving Bubbas ashes, came a clay paw print with his name, a beautiful bag, a death certificate & a mini card, I highly recommend ! We had to let our Crystal go last Wednesday. The hospital uses Carolina Pet Cremation and we received her ashes the following Monday. It was so wonderful seeing the nice box with her name engraved on a plate on the top as well as the paw prints in boxes we can put a picture in. The bag that everything came in as well as the signed card were very nice touches. We are still hurting from losing our girl but this helped bring a lot of comfort to us.

A friend recommended Steve to me when I lost my soul dog late in the afternoon. We lost our guinea pig unexpectedly on Monday evening and Steve at Carolina Pet Cremation met me that evening and took care of our sweet pet's remains. Our dog passed away last Friday and we received a voicemail from the vet hospital that his ashes were ready for pickup just six days later. We really didn’t know what to expect as my husband nor I had ever lost a pet before. We were blown away by its presentation. You can tell ever step was carefully and meticulously prepared. Each piece has an identification number to ensure nothing gets lost. To the beautiful wooden box with his name engraved, the card that accompanied it to the velvet bag it all came in. It is truly incredible. I’ll admit I didn’t know much about the rainbow bridge before our dog passed but read quite a bit about it after. I was pleasantly surprised to see it noted throughout every piece. I cannot thank Carolina Pet Cremation enough for taking such wonderful care of our Bo and seeing to it that he was brought back home to us. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who has the unfortunate need to cremate a pet. It’s been incredibly difficult but having his ashes gives a bit of closure and comfort. Thank you so much.

I had to make the heart wrenching decision to let my cat Linus go after almost 17 years together. He was my shadow, followed me everywhere and slept with me every night. Letting him go was hard enough, but I began to panic when I realized it was a holiday weekend and I had no idea when I’d receive his remains or where he’d end up in the mean time.I called Steve in desperation as he was in driving distance. He picked up the phone immediately and told me I could bring Linus in, and have him back the next day. The relief I felt is unexplainable. My dog passed unexpectedly May 9th late at night. While I was in complete shock and pain my boyfriend called Carolina Pet Cremation and Steve answered and met us 11pm at night. As hard as it was giving my Ginger away I felt she was in good hands. The next day came and they called and said her ashes were ready to be picked up. I want to take a moment and say thank you Steve for the amazing help during this hard time for me, unfortunately, on December 31st, 2022, lost my babe boy Charles 🐹🕊️, first let me tell you all the positive reviews here that name him are so true, I called Steve that morning explained the situation didn't know what to do, or what to expect even though he was out of town on his way back took my information, explained everything of what to do, I took Charles to the cremation center, got welcome by a wonderful lady that also helps me feel more confident that my babe was in good hands while my heart was broken, today I confirm what some people have talked about here the little details that came with him are beautiful got his little paws 😭❤️ and his ashes in a beautiful aurn, the lady today was so sweet as I hold him trying to hold my tears 😭in , I can't explain how thankful I am for everything you guys did now my babe his home. After an unexpected death to my sweet baby boy Ronnie, we decided to get him cremated, we called and Steve said we could bring him in that day and we got him back two days later. I expected just the wooden box and the clay print. But it was so much more, he put a small golden plate with his name, put the box in a beautiful sack and small card. It truly brought me to tears. I called this morning after finding out my guinea pig had passed away in the middle of the night. Steve said we could come down and get her cremated. We got there and he was very kind. It only took us about 2 hours to get her ashes back. It was an amazing experience (yet also heartbreaking) and Steve was very kind through all of it. My husband and I lost our beautiful 19 year old lovebird, Peachy. My husband texted Steve and he responded to us quickly. We dropped her off within an hour of her passing. The very next day, she was home again with us in a beautiful urn with a nameplate. We received a plaster mold of her little footprint that really touched my heart.The process was easy and quick. When my Dog passed away, Steve picked her up at the vets office. He even called me to tell me he picked her up, and said he was gonna do the cremation the same day. Steve showed great compassion, and respect for my beloved Dog. When I picked her ashes up, Steve handed them to me in a nice bag that said till we meet again at the rainbow bridge inside the bag was the ashes in a beautiful wood box, a sympathy card, a copy of the rainbow bridge poem, a molded paw print,and a certificate of cremation . This place was very respectful from beginning talking with Steve (even when he was on his way out of town) until the day I spoke with him to pick up my dogs ashes. The staff at the hospital was great also, they treated my dog with the utmost care when taking her out of the car in the box to when I picked her ashes up, they never carried her like she was just a dead object... That is very much appreciated. Also her ashes were wrapped very nicely.

I would rate the excellent service and caring attention provided by Steve 10 stars rather than only 5!Just as other owners who have lost a much-loved pet, David was distraught when we arrived at Carolina Pet Cremation, but Steve gently described the process and advised us that we could pick up Sadie's ashes the same day. He provided a wonderful carved box and a paw print with Sadie's name on it - less than 6 hours after we first met! When I told Steve that I had ordered a necklace to hold some of the ashes, Steve separated a small amount and packed it in a separate satchel to hold until the necklace arrived.If anyone loses a pet and wants to create a memorial, please contact Steve at Carolina Pet Cremation for professional, courteous, and loving assistance in an emotional time of loss!Thank you, Steve! A week ago, we called the after-hours number for Carolina Pet Cremation at 3:30 AM after the passing of our dog. A few short minutes later, Steve called us back and arranged to meet with us at 5:30 AM. In one of the most challenging times in our lives, Steve provided comfort and compassion and was able to return our remains to us later in the day. I am so grateful for the professionalism and kindness that Steve showed us, and the urn and documents that we received could not have been more perfect. Losing my cat Zeus a few days ago has been extremely hard on me and my family. Steve was so incredibly helpful and kind. After leaving Zeus with Steve, we called later and asked if we could have the daisies we picked cremated with him, and Steve took care of it, which meant a lot. When we picked up his ashes today, I was honestly anticipating just a plain wooden box. But no. We were brought a velvet bag embroidered with “Until we meet again on the rainbow bridge.” Inside was his paw print pressed in clay, an envelope with “in loving memory of Zeus” printed on it, and in the envelope was a sympathy card, a certificate of cremation, and tips on how to grieve. And best of all, his box of ashes was beautiful. On the top were flowers hand carved in the wood, and his name was engraved in a plaque on the front. It made me feel like they took good care of him and understood how much he meant to us. It wasn’t just great service—they helped bring me some closure. Every little detail was so considerate and well thought out. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

When I made the arrangements to have our 20 year old cat creamated, I was mainly concerned about the price figuring we would just spread the ashes in our yard where he liked to lay around in the sun and catch mice. My wife and I were just blown away when we went to pick him up. His ashes were placed in a very nice intricately carved wooden box, made an impression of his paw in plaster, provided a Certificate of Creamation, and put it all in a classy velour bag. We were so touched we were brought to tears all over again, but they were happy tears this time. We will never use anyone else in the future, we are customers for life!

I got my little lovebird back promptly and in the most beautiful wooden box with a name plate and a sweet footprint with her name and date of passing. Hard to believe, but this is the first review (for anything!) that I've posted. I had to make the difficult choice to end the suffering of my first true love, Ellie, last night. I called Steve to let him know and he coordinated with Azure Holland Mobile Vet (my second ever review) to come pick her up at my home. Steve was compassionate and understanding and took my girl minutes after passing. Today, he called me to say he was in the area and that he would like to bring her back home. When I looked at her urn, tears of joy were streaming down my face. I wasn't ready to lose my girl, but I can honestly say that Steve and Azure Holland made the worst day of my life as peaceful as possible. I'll never be able to appropriately thank you. ❤️

After an unexpected death to my sweet baby boy Ronnie, we decided to get him cremated, we called and Steve said we could bring him in that day and we got him back two days later. I expected just the wooden box and the clay print. But it was so much more, he put a small golden plate with his name, put the box in a beautiful sack and small card. It truly brought me to tears. I called this morning after finding out my guinea pig had passed away in the middle of the night. Steve said we could come down and get her cremated. We got there and he was very kind. It only took us about 2 hours to get her ashes back. It was an amazing experience (yet also heartbreaking) and Steve was very kind through all of it. My husband and I made arrangements with Carolina Pet Cremations to handle the cremation of our beloved English Setter on Dec. 5, 2020. Steve met us at 7:30pm on a Saturday night receive our "Cromwell" and he showed great respect, gentleness and understanding throughout that encounter. My cat Tiger passed 11/3/20. I’m young so I never thought about what I would need to do if one of my cats passed away. I was already devastated. Astounded! I have never had a pet cremated. They have all been buried in my mother-in-law’s back yard in Fayetteville. Yesterday we woke up to the horrible fact that our dear Bradley’s life was coming to an end. He was gone by 9:30 am and the roads were a mess. It was suggested that we have him cremated and I found Steve online.He worked around my son and my schedule and allowed us some time to say goodbye again alone. When we went to pick up the ashes today we were shocked. I was expecting a plain wooden box that was nailed shut with the ashes inside. What we received was amazing. The paw cast and prayer brought us to tears once again. The box was beautifully carved and included a certificate. Such a graceful and dignified handling of our beloved Bradley!We didn’t look at the contents of the package until we were back in the truck so I feel we didn't really express our gratitude enough. Thank you Steve! From the bottom of our hearts!!!

Steve is the best there is! None Better I have lost 4 pets over the years and Steve has taken care of the last 3. Words really cant describe how awesome Steve is, but let me write about differences between Steve and the vet who cremated my first pet. The Vet I was seeing did not give me options to have my pet cremated by herself. Steve is total class with the paw prints in clay that he gives you with the box of ashes. Since it was my children's child hood pet, we asked Steve for more paw prints and he happily obliged. My dog passed away on Sunday, yet Steve picked up the phone when I called him this morning. He does not commercialize a pets passing like the vet did with my first pet.

I can see why this business has such a high rating.Steve was so calm, gentle, informative and respectful during a difficult time.As others have noted, I was very happy with the beautiful box containing the cremains, and also the documentation, etc. included. I also opted for a little necklace or key chain vial, that was an additional modest cost, but it's very cool that I can have part of my pet with me always.I was also reassured that this place has credentials, so I have confidence that my dog's remains were well-handled.Lastly - I thought the cost was extremely reasonable for my large dog.My vet had recommended a more local pet cremation service, but I'm so happy we made the trip to Raleigh and used Carolina Pet Cremation. Highly recommend.Edit/PS: If you're bringing your pet to the service, do know that it's located in a vet hospital. When we dropped off my dog there was a fenced doggie daycare or socialization area with a bunch of happy dogs bounding around, which was a little hard to take. Steve did ask me for a description of our vehicle so he could watch for us, and he met us promptly. Just be warned that if you drop off your deceased pet, you may see something like this, so be prepared.

When my Dog passed away, Steve picked her up at the vets office. He even called me to tell me he picked her up, and said he was gonna do the cremation the same day. Steve showed great compassion, and respect for my beloved Dog. When I picked her ashes up, Steve handed them to me in a nice bag that said till we meet again at the rainbow bridge inside the bag was the ashes in a beautiful wood box, a sympathy card, a copy of the rainbow bridge poem, a molded paw print,and a certificate of cremation . This place was very respectful from beginning talking with Steve (even when he was on his way out of town) until the day I spoke with him to pick up my dogs ashes. The staff at the hospital was great also, they treated my dog with the utmost care when taking her out of the car in the box to when I picked her ashes up, they never carried her like she was just a dead object... That is very much appreciated. Also her ashes were wrapped very nicely.

I would rate the excellent service and caring attention provided by Steve 10 stars rather than only 5!Just as other owners who have lost a much-loved pet, David was distraught when we arrived at Carolina Pet Cremation, but Steve gently described the process and advised us that we could pick up Sadie's ashes the same day. He provided a wonderful carved box and a paw print with Sadie's name on it - less than 6 hours after we first met! When I told Steve that I had ordered a necklace to hold some of the ashes, Steve separated a small amount and packed it in a separate satchel to hold until the necklace arrived.If anyone loses a pet and wants to create a memorial, please contact Steve at Carolina Pet Cremation for professional, courteous, and loving assistance in an emotional time of loss!Thank you, Steve! A week ago, we called the after-hours number for Carolina Pet Cremation at 3:30 AM after the passing of our dog. A few short minutes later, Steve called us back and arranged to meet with us at 5:30 AM. Losing my cat Zeus a few days ago has been extremely hard on me and my family. Steve was so incredibly helpful and kind. After leaving Zeus with Steve, we called later and asked if we could have the daisies we picked cremated with him, and Steve took care of it, which meant a lot. When we picked up his ashes today, I was honestly anticipating just a plain wooden box. But no. We were brought a velvet bag embroidered with “Until we meet again on the rainbow bridge.” Inside was his paw print pressed in clay, an envelope with “in loving memory of Zeus” printed on it, and in the envelope was a sympathy card, a certificate of cremation, and tips on how to grieve. And best of all, his box of ashes was beautiful. On the top were flowers hand carved in the wood, and his name was engraved in a plaque on the front. It made me feel like they took good care of him and understood how much he meant to us. It wasn’t just great service—they helped bring me some closure. Every little detail was so considerate and well thought out. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

When I made the arrangements to have our 20 year old cat creamated, I was mainly concerned about the price figuring we would just spread the ashes in our yard where he liked to lay around in the sun and catch mice. My wife and I were just blown away when we went to pick him up. His ashes were placed in a very nice intricately carved wooden box, made an impression of his paw in plaster, provided a Certificate of Creamation, and put it all in a classy velour bag. We were so touched we were brought to tears all over again, but they were happy tears this time. We will never use anyone else in the future, we are customers for life!

I got my little lovebird back promptly and in the most beautiful wooden box with a name plate and a sweet footprint with her name and date of passing. Hard to believe, but this is the first review (for anything!) that I've posted. I had to make the difficult choice to end the suffering of my first true love, Ellie, last night. I called Steve to let him know and he coordinated with Azure Holland Mobile Vet (my second ever review) to come pick her up at my home. Steve was compassionate and understanding and took my girl minutes after passing. Today, he called me to say he was in the area and that he would like to bring her back home. When I looked at her urn, tears of joy were streaming down my face. I wasn't ready to lose my girl, but I can honestly say that Steve and Azure Holland made the worst day of my life as peaceful as possible. I'll never be able to appropriately thank you. ❤️

We had a horrible experience loosing our family dog suddenly and Carolina pet cremation mad it so much more tolerable. From the first phone call all the way through getting our dog back home they were amazing. Friendly and compassionate business and even though they are almost 2 hours away from my home if I ever need this service again. I will make the trip. We had to put our dog down on Friday, November 12. The vet office used this location for my dog's remains. She was returned in a timely manner and the urn and paw print is just beautiful. a fantastic service and really affordable. Ive had family pets cremated for a higher price and they were returned in a container similar to a soup can. In comparison the respect Steven showed my bird and the quality wooden box and talon imprint was touching. It brings me closure, and that's what I really appreciated. We lost our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Bruno, recently; and Steve Weaver came over as soon as we called him. He was very sympathetic to and respectful of our loss and took care of Bruno with quiet dignity. I had to put my bunny to sleep at AEH and she was sent here to be cremated. I got her back in 48 hours in a beautiful wooden urn with carved flowers on the front. The urn came in a lovely velvet bag. Her paw print was perfectly pressed and the attention to detail was apparent. I was worried about her remains but they included paperwork showing she was taken care of from the hospital through the cremation process. I'm so grateful to have such wonderful care in this really hard time and getting her back home so quickly was a grateful surprise.

A week ago we lost my hedgehog of 4+ years. I called this creation service because it was late at night and I was heartbroken. I expected to be laughed at for wanting to cremate my hedgehog but Steve was so kind and offered us a great deal. Since we live 2 hours away I drove up and dropped my hedgehog off and Steve told me I could pick him back up whenever I was available (because of my job and the distance I had to wait a week). When picking him up I didn't know what to expect. My husband and I cried when we saw how beautiful everything was. This company and all their employees are amazing. We lost out beloved cat Ginger last week after 17 years with her. Steve answered the phone after hours for me to answer questions when I thought her time was coming. Then graciously picked her up and brought her back to me. My beloved cat, Snowball, had to be put down because of kidney failure. I took her home to bury her, but found that the roots in my yard were huge and numerous, making burial impossible. I left a message for Steve at Carolina Pet Cremation, and he returned my call within 5 minutes. He graciously met me outside the crematorium, explained the procedure to me, and took Snowball. He took time to meet me the next day, a Sunday, and returned Snowball's remains to me. I was very touched and pleased at the care and effort they took with Snowball. Her remains were in a beautiful wooden box with a name plate with her name on it. They gave me a plaster cast of her paw, a certificate they the remains were Snowball, a poem, and a lovely card.I would highly recommend Carolina Pet Cremation to anyone who wishes to cremate their animal companion.

I had to put my 15 year old cat down after he suddenly became severely ill. We took his remains to the Rollins lab for testing and Steve picked up our beloved Cheeto when he was ready to be cremated. We believe the service was fairly priced and we were shocked to find out it included a beautiful urn with a stamped nameplate, a plaster mold with her paw print and some other lovely items. Steve also showed compassion and interest in her story upon pickup. I couldn’t ask for a better experience during this sad time.

From the first phone call all the way through getting our dog back home they were amazing. Friendly and compassionate business and even though they are almost 2 hours away from my home if I ever need this service again. I will make the trip. We had to put our dog down on Friday, November 12. The vet office used this location for my dog's remains. She was returned in a timely manner and the urn and paw print is just beautiful. a fantastic service and really affordable. Ive had family pets cremated for a higher price and they were returned in a container similar to a soup can. In comparison the respect Steven showed my bird and the quality wooden box and talon imprint was touching. It brings me closure, and that's what I really appreciated. I have to tell you that Carolina Pet Cremation was the most respectful and comforting cremation services available.Cloudy and I were so bonded after 14 yrs. and it was devastating for me. My beautiful Cloudy Cat passed away January 4th 2014. Steve and I first had spoke when I knew time was getting short for Cloudy. If I could give Carolina Pet Cremation more than 5 stars, I would. Steve came on the awful morning that we had lost our beloved Ridley. He was very professional and sensitive to our loss. Steve has helped us as we lost 2 of our loved pets, over the past few years. He is great. He called back quickly, met us at the vet, and took care of the situation with care and caring. When we went back for the ashes ( once he even delivered them to me ) he was kind and you could tell this is not just a job for him. He truly seemed to understand it was quite painful. Thet went above and beyond our expectations! We dropped off our fur baby kemo just hours after he passed on a Saturday afternoon. The man waited for an hour for us to get there. Monday afternoon he was ready to be picked up. Were were expecting a bag of ashes in a cardboard box and what we received truly touched our heart. A beautiful hand carved wood box with a brass engraved name plate with the ashes in it. We also received a impression of his little paw print and some clippings of hair. We also received a death certificate and card like you would get at a funeral. We were so touched by the quality service and care we received. My first dog that I have experienced who passed. She was 15.3 years old and I've had her since she was 12 weeks old. Bummed that I did not receive a clay impression of her paw but instead recieved a foam one and the impression they made was not a full impression. So now everytime I look at it, at seems she only had 3 toes even though she had all her toes. And there's absolutely nothing that can be done about it now. This was done at the Hillsborough location. Everything else we recieved was nice.

I had to put my bunny to sleep at AEH and she was sent here to be cremated. I got her back in 48 hours in a beautiful wooden urn with carved flowers on the front. The urn came in a lovely velvet bag. Her paw print was perfectly pressed and the attention to detail was apparent. I was worried about her remains but they included paperwork showing she was taken care of from the hospital through the cremation process. A week ago we lost my hedgehog of 4+ years. I called this creation service because it was late at night and I was heartbroken. I expected to be laughed at for wanting to cremate my hedgehog but Steve was so kind and offered us a great deal. Since we live 2 hours away I drove up and dropped my hedgehog off and Steve told me I could pick him back up whenever I was available (because of my job and the distance I had to wait a week). When picking him up I didn't know what to expect. My husband and I cried when we saw how beautiful everything was. This company and all their employees are amazing. We lost out beloved cat Ginger last week after 17 years with her. Steve answered the phone after hours for me to answer questions when I thought her time was coming. Then graciously picked her up and brought her back to me. My beloved cat, Snowball, had to be put down because of kidney failure. I took her home to bury her, but found that the roots in my yard were huge and numerous, making burial impossible. I left a message for Steve at Carolina Pet Cremation, and he returned my call within 5 minutes. He graciously met me outside the crematorium, explained the procedure to me, and took Snowball. He took time to meet me the next day, a Sunday, and returned Snowball's remains to me. I was very touched and pleased at the care and effort they took with Snowball. Her remains were in a beautiful wooden box with a name plate with her name on it. They gave me a plaster cast of her paw, a certificate they the remains were Snowball, a poem, and a lovely card.I would highly recommend Carolina Pet Cremation to anyone who wishes to cremate their animal companion.

They also had the remains available within 48 hours. The urn is a beautiful wooden box, and it was placed inside a velvet bag. After reading all these reviews, I must be the only one who didn’t get compassion. I didn’t even get an “I’m sorry”. The owner is unprofessional, even through SMS. I guess the owner didn’t feel like dealing with a dead cat on a Sunday. Also, the date on my standard wooden urn has the date 10/5, but my pet died on 10/6. Not sure why everyone is so thrilled with this place, but I won’t be using this business anymore in the future.

We took Chadwick there, he was cremated, ashes placed in a beautiful, carved box. Not only that, there was a paw print made of Chadwick's foot that was given to us, also. There is a little shape of a bone ... with wildflower seeds to plant in memory. Thank you, Steve, for your compassion. You have a calming way about you ... Even on Mother's Day morning they came to pick up my dog that past in the night. The remains were returned in a beautiful box along with a footprint and beautiful sayings. Another dog just passed and they were just as wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Immensely grateful for Steve’s patience, knowledge, and compassion, and for allowing me to be apart of the process as much as I was. I know it’s not for everyone, but being able to view my girl going in and coming out was oddly comforting and gave me a little bit of closure. It was surprisingly less emotionally difficult than I thought it’d be, for anyone unsure like I was.

Gabriel will be cherished in our hearts forever. Sweet Gabriel's ashes and his footprint on a memorial Christmas ornament gave us some peace and comfort! Excellent service. We arrived on a rainy evening to drop our pet off and he was there ready to help. When we got our pet back it was all with respect and care. Everything was nicely package. Greatly satisfied by how we were treated and how our pet was treated.

After reading all these reviews, I must be the only one who didn’t get compassion. I didn’t even get an “I’m sorry”. The owner is unprofessional, even through SMS. I guess the owner didn’t feel like dealing with a dead cat on a Sunday. Also, the date on my standard wooden urn has the date 10/5, but my pet died on 10/6. Not sure why everyone is so thrilled with this place, but I won’t be using this business anymore in the future.
