I chose Companah because of the process they use for cremation. My precious baby passed away February 21. When I made my initial call to Companah I was distraught to say the least. I spoke with Sean and he could not have been kinder. He was very professional in explaining the process of cremation used. Sean was so kind compassionate and such a caring person that at the end of the phone call I felt more at peace with my decision.Buddy, The courier if you will, met us at the vet to pick up my precious Duchess. I was literally falling apart but he gave me the time to say goodbye to my baby. There are no words explain how kind he was that day.Lastly I want to thank Shannon and her husband ( the owners) for helping me choose the memorials for Duchess. The urn is beautiful and has her name engraved on the front. The clay paw prints and the fur clippings are all I have left of her. My heart is still broken but I want Companah And each and every person involved throughout this process to know how much I appreciate your gentleness with my sweet Duchess. Over the course of the last 10 years, my buddy Roscoe and I had gone through some fairly difficult times together. With the reality of our separation inevitable, I sought out the best method to both honor and preserve all that he had become as a loyal friend and the best dog a guy could've wanted. That led me to the fine folks at Companah. Words can hardly express how grateful I am for their compassion, their attentiveness, and their obvious expressions of concern that my pet was being handled in all the ways that I had wanted. I take comfort knowing that where ever my future travels take me, Roscoe will be able to go along for the ride.

We recently lost a very special member of our family, our cat Felix, age 11. I was so fortunate to learn about Companah to help us during such an emotional time. Up until last fall, he was healthy and active and loved outdoor time on the farm. In October, he began breathing rapidly, went into congestive heart failure, and was diagnosed with HCM. With meds he lived a full additional 5-1/2 months, but it all quickly progressed in the end. We were able to help Felix peacefully pass at home, and then I began the task of Googling and calling crematoriums to make a decision where to transfer his body the next day.I was turned off by some crematoriums with outrageously high prices (using grief to capitalize) and others that were all business when I called to ask about rates, no "I'm sorry for your loss." So I kept researching because I wanted to make sure this last time caring for Felix would be with someone thoughtful. That's when I learned about aquamation and found Companah. I am so grateful I learned about and chose them because they made a difficult time a little easier. They were kind and empathetic. Paul was the first person I spoke with. He asked me to tell him a little about Felix (so thoughtful), and he kindly and promptly answered additional questions via text. Buddy met us to receive Felix's body to take him to the crematorium. Buddy was so gentle with Felix, and us. When putting him in his car, he called him "darling" which made sending off our sweet boy one last time a little less painful knowing he was with someone who would be as tender with him as we were. We chose the Tree of Life urn because Felix loved climbing trees. It's beautifully engraved with flowers on top and his name on the front. When I picked up his urn and memorial from a shared office space in Greensboro, even they were kind and told me they were sorry for my loss. I just want any pet owner going through a loss and looking for a way to care for their special family member one last time to be confident that Companah will take great care of your pet and you. From beginning to end Companah was a gift of kindness and comfort when we needed it most. Thank you Paul, Buddy and all the staff at Companah.

We chose Companah to start with because of the ratings. But let me tell you that falls so short on how good they are. The night we lost our little one . I explained everything and it wasn't long after that I had a response so kind sympathetic and understanding and helped with the process. So then I wasn't one person but to that helped and same kind of compassion. Set up to where they would come out and pick up our little one . That gentleman was just as good . So overall if you need to go thru this . Call Companah. You will be happy with your choice. Thank you all that were involved. Let me brag on this awesome experience. My dog passed overnight and after the initial hurt I called a few companies. It was early in the morning and Companah was the only company that answered. The compassion in their voice and professionalism was so comforting. I was provided with clear instructions through phone call and email. All the while still receiving text messages to ensure I understood all that was about to happen. I met them at their business downtown Greensboro and they were very gentle with my PooPoo. I started on a Wednesday and on Friday I received a message that they were complete and I can pick him up when I was ready. The process was quick and I love the results to have to spend with my best friend forever.

Companah was so, so helpful in our time of desperate need. Anyone and everyone we spoke too were kind, patient, and compassionate, always telling us how sorry they are for our loss and the difficult time. They took note of my special request to have some of our dear Sprite's ashes in a separate bag, and were very kind when we needed to correct the birthdate for the urn, always replying quickly and kindly.Thank you so much to Companah and all of their wonderful, helpful, loving staff for making one of the most difficult and dark times of my life better. 🖤I cannot reccomend anyone else enough if you wish to have your pet cremated.

When we began the process of getting ready to put our senior dog Widget to sleep, it was emotionally and mentally exhausting. Our biggest concern was what to do with her after everything was done. I knew we didn’t want to bury her in the backyard since we would move in the future, so I immediately thought of cremation. I googled where could I get a pet cremated and Companah came up. I spoke with them via chat at first to just ask a few questions, and with their quick, receptive and compassionate responses I felt their company would be the best team to handle Widget. They sent me the paperwork to complete ahead of time and we stayed in contact with them on the day we said goodbye to our beloved dog. When we met with the staff to hand over Widget, she was so compassionate even talking to Widget and gently cradling her like we were. We had widget back 3 days later in a beautiful urn etched with her name. They were so compassionate, so quick and just really went above and beyond. We highly recommend their staff and services for your final arrangements.

I cannot even begin to describe how AMAZING Companah is. They make one of the hardest moments in life extremely easy to navigate. I unexpectedly lost my sweet lab/husky mix Zeus on Mother’s Day 2020; during the COVID19 pandemic of all times. Hal was extremely patient and caring when it came to navigating my family and me through the next steps. He allowed my ex and me time to say goodbye to our amazing boy that was basically our child for 11 years. No one ever wants to say goodbye to their fur baby, but the compassion and love Hal and Companah showed made it so much easier and made me for so comfortable handing me sweet boy over to them. His ashes have already returned and everything is beautiful and perfect! Thank you all again for taking such good care of my sweet, sweet boy!

I used them before and was not in the service area. This time when I lost my baby I knew the best would only do. They really worked with me to meet up with them. I can't say thank you enough. 5 stars is not enough they were so kind and compassionate. Thank you Shannon from the bottom of my heart. We brought him home today and it is beautifully done. Out of all the dogs I have this one was the hardest one and I am so greatful that you guys did it!!

I don’t leave reviews, but Companah deserves one. We very unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our cat this week. Companah was at our home within 5 hours to pick him up for transport - Evie was incredibly compassionate (and prompt) as I handed her my boy. Shannon was very gentle and used verbiage in her emails that didn’t trigger any additional grief or negative feelings. The gentleman who I spoke with on the phone when I first called was also incredibly kind and gentle as I explained my situation.I have had an awful week and there’s no end in sight, but I believe my baby’s earthside transition was in great hands. Nothing can ease the pain, but Companah did everything they could to make this easier on us.

Nice and understanding all around.This was my first time going through something like this. It was extremely difficult for me, especially during the pandemic, so I felt very lost.Companah Pet Cremation was the first place I called. The website was a little hard to navigate, but calling them really cleared things up and I was able to prepare everything by phone. If this place is too far for you, they do provide delivery(with a fee) and pickup. The fact they did this felt like a lifesaver in of itself.Hal Atkins was the person I had the most contact with. He helped me immensely and he did his best to ensure the process went smoothly(by answering all of my questions throughout multiple days, calls, and emails). He was understanding and patient with me through the days leading up to my loss. He even personally delivered Cookie back to me. It was a gesture I greatly appreciated.I didn't realize this until now, but the woman who picked Cookie up was (possibly)Shannon. She was extremely nice as well. I could tell she was as compassionate as Hal. When I went back inside my home, my father commented on how gently and nicely she was handling our loved one. I knew he would be in good hands, then.All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

Hal and Shannon at Companah are wonderful, caring compassionate people. They came to our home to get Bernard's remains on a rainy Saturday afternoon. They took their time with us and were sensitive to our feelings, even asking if we would like more time with him. They are delivering Bernard's ashes to the house as well. Bernard had been ill for several months, even though, his loss is felt greatly. Companah allowed us to focus on the loss while they took care of the details. I strongly recommend Hal and Shannon.

My pets are currently 18 and 16. I contacted the owner several years ago to plan ahead for cremation and pickup services. I was having anxiety about the situation beforehand as I lived by myself at the time and my pets are my world. Everyone I have spoke with has been very kind and understanding. I highly recommend pre planning for fur babies. Just like with our human loved ones, it makes a huge difference financially and emotionally to have a plan ahead of time for end of life services.

I honestly cannot say enough about this company. Our sweet greyhound passed away unexpectedly on a Wednesday night. I spent the following morning searching for companies to cremate our sweet boy. I found with most of the companies, they sent their animals to another larger company to be cremated. I also learned that very few of these companies offered individual cremation. I contacted Hal and Shannon at Companah and from the first conversation I felt at ease. They were very professional and sympathetic to our circumstances. The offered pickup/delivery, individual cremation, and do not send the animals away. Within 2 hours of speaking Shannon arrived at our home to pick up our baby. The process was very gentle and respectful. He was placed on a stretcher and buckled in so that he could not move around while being transported. Shannon placed an ID tag on his paw to make sure that he was not confused with any other animal. We communicated via email about the details of the urn etc. Three days later, he was delivered back to our home. The urn was beautiful and great quality. They even took the time to wash the blanket that he was taken away on, and brought that back to us. During the grieving process, a company like Companah is exactly what you want and need. We are so happy that we chose Companah and we would recommend them to anyone.

My sweet little 20yo Chihuahua passed away on Christmas Eve and Companah made arrangements to receive Lily and take care of her that night. Not only do I thank you for going out of your way but all so for what a marvelous job you did. The craftsmanship and level of detail is outstanding. I cannot speak highly enough of the owners, Hal and Shannon, and how compassionately they handled the loss of our fur baby. They provided a lovely carved box and the paw print was perfect.The loss of a beloved pet does not always happen 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday, and that was the scenario we were facing using other services. Our dog Ivy died unexpectedly and was found 10 days after she went missing. I explained the situation to Shannon and she was able to come by that afternoon while my daughter and I were away from the house. It was such a huge weight off my shoulders finding Companah and the entire process from start to finish was professional, respectful and Shannon was reliable. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. My precious Maston would’ve turned 15 on July 8. With failing health I knew this day was coming. Last week, during a rough nightly episode I googled pet cremation sites. When I read the reviews about Companah I called the next day. A very compassionate stranger made me feel like this would be my choice for my baby’s final destination....little did I know that would only be in a couple of days. I called Shannon the day of...she was there when I asked her to be. No bag or box for him but a blanket lined container.Today my baby came home. From the time I made the appointment at the vet to have my sweet Maggie put to sleep to the time I picked up her urn, Companah was so genuine and quick to respond. My best friend, Kairo, passed away as o was picking him up to put him in the truck to take him to the emergency pet hospital.I had nowhere to bury him, due to not owning my own property, and I came across Companah in my Google search.They were quick to respond, highly delicate in their handling of my boy, and very supportive of the hurt myself, and my family felt.Half gave words of encouragement and there was a look of heartfelt remorse in his eyes that was very heart warming to my wife and I, when he came to pick Kairo up.Companah is a GREAT company, and, God forbid, if we have another fur baby death, will definitely be getting my business, again. I have told a lot of people I know about this small company, and hope to see them make it through these trying times.With the dwindling amount of true compassion left in this world, these great people are too of my list.Thank you for taking care of my boy.

On Feb 23 2020 it was a sunday. I lost my baby Snowball she was 18 1/2. I didnt know what to do so I messaged Companah and the lady responded back to very quickly. She was so kind, compassionate and understanding. The gentleman that I meet with to give my baby too was just as compassionate and consoling. Thank you. Companah was extremely easy & affordable. Definitely gave us peace of mind during a very painful time. They picked up my pup, made beautiful pieces to remember him by, & dropped him back off to us within a week. I do not know what we would've done without this service. I also want to add that Companah is about helping you through this difficult time by any means, to include meeting at a location outside of the home if that best suits you. However if that isn’t someonething that suits you; they do home pick ups and vet pick ups. 5/55. Companah is an environmentally friendly option for those of us who are conscious of our carbon footprint. This topic means a great deal to me and I appreciate the means inwhich they process the remains to ensure a better environment. I love that our fur family members last act in this world isn’t to help destroy it. 5/5I wanted to add that I included their great prices and options at the beginning as I know that will play a huge factor for some families that want a budget friendly option to remember their fur baby. I’m not the best with words but here it goes. I cannot thank Hal and Shannon enough for everything they did. I am from California and came out to North Carolina say goodbye to my pig Masquerade. I work in the veterinary field so I already know how these things work but I was blown away by their willingness and making sure all our concerns were addressed. They came out to pick her up and took the time to chat with us about Masquerade and her meaning to me and my family. I had a week timeline and they made sure I went home with my baby. I am so thankful to have part of her here and happy knowing part of her is still there with my family in North Carolina. Once again thank you Hal and Shannon for everything.

I cannot even begin to describe how AMAZING Companah is. They make one of the hardest moments in life extremely easy to navigate. I unexpectedly lost my sweet lab/husky mix Zeus on Mother’s Day 2020; during the COVID19 pandemic of all times. Hal was extremely patient and caring when it came to navigating my family and me through the next steps. He allowed my ex and me time to say goodbye to our amazing boy that was basically our child for 11 years. No one ever wants to say goodbye to their fur baby, but the compassion and love Hal and Companah showed made it so much easier and made me for so comfortable handing me sweet boy over to them. His ashes have already returned and everything is beautiful and perfect! Thank you all again for taking such good care of my sweet, sweet boy!

I used them before and was not in the service area. This time when I lost my baby I knew the best would only do. They really worked with me to meet up with them. I can't say thank you enough. 5 stars is not enough they were so kind and compassionate. Thank you Shannon from the bottom of my heart. We brought him home today and it is beautifully done. Out of all the dogs I have this one was the hardest one and I am so greatful that you guys did it!!

I don’t leave reviews, but Companah deserves one. We very unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our cat this week. Companah was at our home within 5 hours to pick him up for transport - Evie was incredibly compassionate (and prompt) as I handed her my boy. Shannon was very gentle and used verbiage in her emails that didn’t trigger any additional grief or negative feelings. The gentleman who I spoke with on the phone when I first called was also incredibly kind and gentle as I explained my situation.I have had an awful week and there’s no end in sight, but I believe my baby’s earthside transition was in great hands. Nothing can ease the pain, but Companah did everything they could to make this easier on us.

Nice and understanding all around.This was my first time going through something like this. It was extremely difficult for me, especially during the pandemic, so I felt very lost.Companah Pet Cremation was the first place I called. The website was a little hard to navigate, but calling them really cleared things up and I was able to prepare everything by phone. If this place is too far for you, they do provide delivery(with a fee) and pickup. The fact they did this felt like a lifesaver in of itself.Hal Atkins was the person I had the most contact with. He helped me immensely and he did his best to ensure the process went smoothly(by answering all of my questions throughout multiple days, calls, and emails). He was understanding and patient with me through the days leading up to my loss. He even personally delivered Cookie back to me. It was a gesture I greatly appreciated.I didn't realize this until now, but the woman who picked Cookie up was (possibly)Shannon. She was extremely nice as well. I could tell she was as compassionate as Hal. When I went back inside my home, my father commented on how gently and nicely she was handling our loved one. I knew he would be in good hands, then.All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

Hal and Shannon at Companah are wonderful, caring compassionate people. They came to our home to get Bernard's remains on a rainy Saturday afternoon. They took their time with us and were sensitive to our feelings, even asking if we would like more time with him. They are delivering Bernard's ashes to the house as well. Bernard had been ill for several months, even though, his loss is felt greatly. Companah allowed us to focus on the loss while they took care of the details. I strongly recommend Hal and Shannon.

My pets are currently 18 and 16. I contacted the owner several years ago to plan ahead for cremation and pickup services. I was having anxiety about the situation beforehand as I lived by myself at the time and my pets are my world. Everyone I have spoke with has been very kind and understanding. I highly recommend pre planning for fur babies. Just like with our human loved ones, it makes a huge difference financially and emotionally to have a plan ahead of time for end of life services.

I honestly cannot say enough about this company. Our sweet greyhound passed away unexpectedly on a Wednesday night. I spent the following morning searching for companies to cremate our sweet boy. I found with most of the companies, they sent their animals to another larger company to be cremated. I also learned that very few of these companies offered individual cremation. I contacted Hal and Shannon at Companah and from the first conversation I felt at ease. They were very professional and sympathetic to our circumstances. The offered pickup/delivery, individual cremation, and do not send the animals away. Within 2 hours of speaking Shannon arrived at our home to pick up our baby. The process was very gentle and respectful. He was placed on a stretcher and buckled in so that he could not move around while being transported. Shannon placed an ID tag on his paw to make sure that he was not confused with any other animal. We communicated via email about the details of the urn etc. Three days later, he was delivered back to our home. The urn was beautiful and great quality. They even took the time to wash the blanket that he was taken away on, and brought that back to us. During the grieving process, a company like Companah is exactly what you want and need. We are so happy that we chose Companah and we would recommend them to anyone.

My sweet little 20yo Chihuahua passed away on Christmas Eve and Companah made arrangements to receive Lily and take care of her that night. Not only do I thank you for going out of your way but all so for what a marvelous job you did. The craftsmanship and level of detail is outstanding. I cannot speak highly enough of the owners, Hal and Shannon, and how compassionately they handled the loss of our fur baby. They provided a lovely carved box and the paw print was perfect.The loss of a beloved pet does not always happen 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday, and that was the scenario we were facing using other services. Our dog Ivy died unexpectedly and was found 10 days after she went missing. I explained the situation to Shannon and she was able to come by that afternoon while my daughter and I were away from the house. It was such a huge weight off my shoulders finding Companah and the entire process from start to finish was professional, respectful and Shannon was reliable. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. My precious Maston would’ve turned 15 on July 8. With failing health I knew this day was coming. Last week, during a rough nightly episode I googled pet cremation sites. When I read the reviews about Companah I called the next day. A very compassionate stranger made me feel like this would be my choice for my baby’s final destination....little did I know that would only be in a couple of days. I called Shannon the day of...she was there when I asked her to be. No bag or box for him but a blanket lined container.Today my baby came home. Companah is by far the most sincere company. From the time I made the appointment at the vet to have my sweet Maggie put to sleep to the time I picked up her urn, Companah was so genuine and quick to respond. I will forever use Companah for any other pet cremation needs I have in the future. Companah Pet Cremation was only a phone call away when my Belove cat Smoki passed away. Not really knowing who to call or what to do I found them in google search. My best friend, Kairo, passed away as o was picking him up to put him in the truck to take him to the emergency pet hospital.I had nowhere to bury him, due to not owning my own property, and I came across Companah in my Google search.They were quick to respond, highly delicate in their handling of my boy, and very supportive of the hurt myself, and my family felt.Half gave words of encouragement and there was a look of heartfelt remorse in his eyes that was very heart warming to my wife and I, when he came to pick Kairo up.Companah is a GREAT company, and, God forbid, if we have another fur baby death, will definitely be getting my business, again. On Feb 23 2020 it was a sunday. I lost my baby Snowball she was 18 1/2. I didnt know what to do so I messaged Companah and the lady responded back to very quickly.
