Their kindness made all the difference, and within 24 hours, we already have Raven’s ashes back in a beautiful wooden box—such a touching tribute to our girl. We lost our sweet doggie last week and I was just so touched by the way Faithful Companion handled their part for us. They had him “ready to come home” the day it happened so I knew his body wasn’t just sitting, being stored, or mixed with others. (for some reason, this meant a lot to me). They delivered him to our house the following business day and seemed truly sorry for our loss. I was surprised to find a clay paw print with his name and a nice little stand for it. It’s now on our mantle. I wish we had known about this place when we lost our first dog in 2020. A service no one wants to need to use but a necessary one that comes with loving a pet. They provided comfort during a hard time.Thank you all so much.

I lost my baby boy. He was my best friend and companion. I was heartbroken and devastated. He passed away in my home and I didn’t know what to do so I gave Faithful Companion Pet Cremation a call and they walked me through everything. They were so lovely and compassionate. When our senior cat passed away it was absolutely crushing. Our veteran works with Faithful Companion and it was such a lovely experience. They were kind and compassionate and made the whole process a good one. The paw print impression was more than we expected but beautiful. The delivery person was sympathetic and wonderful, they gave us a whole little care package. I will absolutely recommend them to anyone who unfortunately needs them.

I unexpectedly lost my best friend of almost a decade the day after Thanksgiving. When it has been the worse time of my life, there is nothing more valuable than kindness. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and detailed. They allowed us to have a private room to say some final words before rolling my baby away. They had my baby ready to come home with me the very next morning and I could feel how tenderly they treated the entire process. The standard urn they offer is beautiful as well as the paw print plaque. Thank you for your kindness during this difficult time

We lost our cat suddenly yesterday. We had come in later in the night, about an hour and a half before closing time, and Faith greeted us and was so kind and patient with us. We got his ashes back today and the box is beautiful. Although my husband and I are absolutely heartbroken, Faith Companion has made this hard time of grief and pain a bit easier to deal with. It's never easy when you lose someone you love dearly, especially during the holidays. It happen so quickly, and everything seem to be close or no action. However, at Faithful Companions, my husband was able to speak with someone and drop our dog Bella off the same day we lost her. They were very friendly and comforting during our lose. We had her cremated, and they did it quickly. I really appreciate the care they showed us and Bella.

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of being a two time Faithful Companion customer. In 2020, my parrot was sent to them from the vet, and I had her back in a beautiful Tree of Life box within 2 days. They were very sweet when I came to pick her up, and provided information on grief support. Today, I picked up the remains of our parent's dog, whom we had in home euthanasia performed on yesterday. I was surprised when my sister told me she was ready, and was surprised also that she was in a beautiful cherry wood box with her name engraved in gold. These folks have a job I certainly wouldn't want, but those there that choose to do this job, do it with a high amount of dignity, compassion, and grace. We thank you, Faithful Companion, for being here for us when we need you.

Though our vet practice works directly with Faithful Companion, I completed my own due diligence prior to our sweet pup’s final appointment. I was impressed with FC’s communication style, empathy and responsiveness during each interaction. Their process is well-organized and efficient yet somehow feels personalized. Staff accommodated my request to return remains to our home (our vet is closed weekends and we were anxious to have our Gracie back with us). For clients requesting a paw print keepsake, it is crafted with each dog’s name and a sweet embedded heart charm. Even the communication is consistent and gentle: condolences are offered by each staff member, pets are consistently referred to by name, and comforting phrases are used such as pets being “in our care” while on site and “returned home” as soon as the process is complete. Faithful Companion made the best of a heartbreaking situation, and my family is very grateful for their staff, services and attention to detail.

I can not speak highly enough of this company. They were quick to retrieve my pet once she passed. They cremated and returned her remains to me within 2 days of her death. They delivered it to me at my home which was so convenient. I even received a handprint of her paw as a keepsake. Their customer service was exceptional and their pricing is very reasonable.

Even though I was not the one that contacted them & my vet worked everything out for our sweet handsome boy Ziggy, I was really impressed with their prompt services. I am absolutely floored at the level of service I received from Faithful companion! They were fast getting me back my pups paw print and it was absolutely adorable! The speed at which they picked up my pup from the vet and returned me the paw print was incredible and it was 4th of July weekend. The people I spoke with were very kind and helpful. I am so grateful for their service and how adorable they made the print! They even gave me an adorable bag and a stand for it. I could not be more pleased being that having to let a pet go is unbelievably heart breaking. I hope the person reading this never need this service but if you do they are wonderful

When you lose your pet, it is one of the most traumatic experiences ever. This place made me feel comfortable the moment I arrived. I actually called them the day before telling them I will be arriving in the morning at an approximate time and they already had a box waiting for me when I arrived. You are able to wait until they are finished the process with you pet, but I chose to leave and have them call me when my cat was ready to be brought home again. They gave me a beautiful wooden urn as well as literature to help me with the process. The only thing I wish I would have done differently was to have Faithful Companion do a paw print. I had a "free" paw print by Laps of Love and it was cheap. It is powdery and loses more shape as the weeks go on. If you want a paw print that looks professional and will last the test of time, do it here. Pay the extra money, it would be worth it.

On the worst day of my life only hours after saying goodbye to my best friend we were met with kindness, patience and understanding at Faithful Companion. Thanks to the amazing vets and staff at Archdale Animal hospital I knew ahead of time to make arrangements for a private cremation in the family room they have available at FC. Celeste had such a kind and caring presence explaining what was happening each step of the way and asking consent before handling the remains of our loved one. As painful as it was to say goodbye, I have a little bit of peace knowing I was able to be with my sweet girl every step of the way and take her remains home with us the same day. It was such a surprise and gift that they offer this comfy space for families to gather if you choose. Overall a positive experience from the first phone call to the day of. My beautiful black German Shepherd named Doc died suddenly at home without warning a couple of weeks ago, and because of his size (he was a big-boned, 120-130 pounds) I had a difficult time finding a service that could accommodate him. Faithful Companion was recommended to me by my vet. Their amazing service and genuine compassion made a very difficult day a lot easier. I called to schedule the service, paid over the phone, and within 40 minutes they met us outside of the shop to help us get him out of our truck. They also offer pick up service if you are unable to transport your pet. I was able to see the area where the cremations are performed, and it truly is a series of individual chambers. I fully believe I have my dog's remains exclusively. The service was very reasonably priced, especially for Doc's large size, and included a beautifully carved wooden urn. There are options for engraving as well. I also added a clay paw print, which comes with a stand and nice mesh carry bag. We dropped Doc off at 12 noon, he was ready and everything was neatly packaged up for us by 3pm. The entire process was 100% stress free, and we were do grateful for that. I was amazed that in 3 hours we had him back home with us, and it honestly made it so much easier for us to say goodbye. Thank you Faithful Companion 🖤

I couldn’t be happier with the recommendation from the emergency hospital to use Faithful Companion. They were very kind, delivered my dog’s ashes directly to me, and provided grief packets to help with coping with the grief. The box and paw print now reside on my mantle.

They were so so professional. They came and picked my baby up and dropped him off the next day and the driver gave me a hug. I didn't know this company or service existed prior to losing our sweet 13 year old pup Roc. From the very first phone call until Roc was delivered back home Faithful Companion was professional, caring, and compassionate. David called me and said "Roc is ready to come home now, I will be there in 15 minutes." When he arrived at my house it was pouring down rain. David got out of his van and he carried the bag, that contained the urn and pawprint, under his jacket. When he reached to give me the bag he said "I'm sorry he got wet and I'm very sorry for your loss." Those words and his actions made me cry so hard but I was also so thankful of how respectful, caring, and compassionate David was. I'm sure he does this all the time but I hope he knows how much this meant to me and my family in our time of grief. All of this took place within 24 hours of Roc's passing. The beautiful urn and pawprint will be items we cherish forever. I hope you never NEED a service like this but if you find yourself in a situation like we did. Please use this company, you will not regret it.

We lost our baby Frankie D this past Wednesday. He was not even 2, so this was extremely painful and shocking. Faithful Companion took special care of Frankie D from the moment we had to leave him to the time they delivered him to our door, less than 24 hours later. They showed compassion and professionalism on the phone and at our door. Although it is so fresh that I am crying typing this out, I could not imagine how the healing process would go if Frankie wasn't home with us so quickly. Very compassionate and respectful of our beloved pets. During COVID the front reception area was closed and drop offs were in the rear of the building. So we saw the area where the cremations are done. The facility is immaculate, and your pet is handled with the ultimate respect. They process your pet as quickly as possible. Your pet travels through the process with a numbered metal tag that does not melt so you are assured you are receiving the correct cremains. Everyone who works there is a true animal lover who wants to provide a good experience at a very difficult time.

**Updated review to five stars**Regional manager Chad reached out and went above and beyond to address the employees behavior and ensure that nothing like that happens again. While it does not erase what happened, I am appreciative that this incident was taken seriously. That one employee clearly does not represent the company as a whole, Everyone else has been wonderful.Two stars for having no issues when using them previously. But this time we dropped off our cat Noodle yesterday 7/29 for cremation and whoever was running the desk around 2 PM, I did not get her name, Thought it was a good idea to repeatedly ask if I wanted a cat from her. She also asked me if she could open the box he was in just to look at him. It was an incredibly disrespectful interaction and I would no longer recommend this service after this.

Though the passing of our beloved Sadie was expected soon it was not expected as quickly as it happened and we were not prepared. Faithful Companion made this dreadful after moment needs easy. I had in my head that my baby would arrive in a plastic bag and I would need to figure out a resting place for her. I was overwhelmed in the moment. Not only did the vet call me sooner than expected but when I arrived my baby was compassionately and lovingly taken care of. They included her paw print for me to have forever and that was the closure I needed. She arrived in a beautiful wooden urn worthy of placement on my mantle with no upgrade needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better company to help us during such a difficult time. We used Lap of Love on Thursday for the in-home euthanasia, then the doctor took my baby straight to Faithful companions. I received a call from Faithful Companions on Friday morning letting me know that he was ready to come home. They offered to drop him off at our house at whatever time worked best for us but we opted to pick him up. They gave us a beautiful wooden urn with his name carved in the front of it. The lady we met with at the office was very professional. We appreciate the level of care and the quick turnaround time that this company provides.

Words can't express how grateful we are that Faithful Companion was there for us in our time of grievance. I initially called Animal Care & Control because I didn't know who else to call and, even though our friend was terminally ill, I wasn't prepared for THE day. Animal Care's response was that we had to put him out on the curb since their policy refuses to allow them to enter the home! I couldn't believe it and to add insult to injury the dispatcher was unsentimental beyond belief.Thankfully, I gathered myself and called CARE who referred us to Faithful Companion. Everyone was so empathetic to our situation and handled everything with the upmost respect. I could not have been more proud and appreciative that our dear friend of 12 1/2 years was being cared for in such a way. We honestly could not have asked for more. In less than 24 hours we had Sergeant back home where he belong in a beautifully carved wooden case (statue not included).Thank you guys so much, my entire family sends their gratitude.

My beautiful black German Shepherd named Doc died suddenly at home without warning a couple of weeks ago, and because of his size (he was a big-boned, 120-130 pounds) I had a difficult time finding a service that could accommodate him. Faithful Companion was recommended to me by my vet. Their amazing service and genuine compassion made a very difficult day a lot easier. I called to schedule the service, paid over the phone, and within 40 minutes they met us outside of the shop to help us get him out of our truck. They also offer pick up service if you are unable to transport your pet. I was able to see the area where the cremations are performed, and it truly is a series of individual chambers. I fully believe I have my dog's remains exclusively. The service was very reasonably priced, especially for Doc's large size, and included a beautifully carved wooden urn. There are options for engraving as well. I also added a clay paw print, which comes with a stand and nice mesh carry bag. We dropped Doc off at 12 noon, he was ready and everything was neatly packaged up for us by 3pm. The entire process was 100% stress free, and we were do grateful for that. I was amazed that in 3 hours we had him back home with us, and it honestly made it so much easier for us to say goodbye. Thank you Faithful Companion 🖤

Lauren, my daughter, unexpectedly lost her potbellied pig of 12 years. She was 10 when she got him and at age 22, had to put him to sleep. It was the hardest decision she's ever had to make in her young life. The entire time we had Oliver, he was always viewed as "just a pig." That was NOT the case with Faith at your Charlotte location. I said goodbye to my precious soul dog Missy May 8th. It was incredibly heartbreaking 💔 😢. Dr. Dane with Lap of Love was so respectful, kind and caring. He lovingly carried her to his car and as he left, I knew she was in good hands as they made their way to Faithful Companion.I received a call from Cray some hours later informing me she would be coming home the next day.Cray was so kind and took an active interest in learning about Missy! Our little 5.5lb Gracie (12.5 years old) was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. We were blessed with 3 extra weeks with her, we didn’t think we were going to have. She passed peacefully in the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, 11/26/22 with her Daddy & me right by her side. She was sweet & spunky yet sassy; we miss our baby girl terribly. I didn't know this company or service existed prior to losing our sweet 13 year old pup Roc. From the very first phone call until Roc was delivered back home Faithful Companion was professional, caring, and compassionate. David called me and said "Roc is ready to come home now, I will be there in 15 minutes." When he arrived at my house it was pouring down rain. David got out of his van and he carried the bag, that contained the urn and pawprint, under his jacket. When he reached to give me the bag he said "I'm sorry he got wet and I'm very sorry for your loss." Those words and his actions made me cry so hard but I was also so thankful of how respectful, caring, and compassionate David was. I'm sure he does this all the time but I hope he knows how much this meant to me and my family in our time of grief. All of this took place within 24 hours of Roc's passing. The beautiful urn and pawprint will be items we cherish forever. I hope you never NEED a service like this but if you find yourself in a situation like we did. Please use this company, you will not regret it.

We lost our baby Frankie D this past Wednesday. He was not even 2, so this was extremely painful and shocking. Faithful Companion took special care of Frankie D from the moment we had to leave him to the time they delivered him to our door, less than 24 hours later. Very compassionate and respectful of our beloved pets. During COVID the front reception area was closed and drop offs were in the rear of the building. So we saw the area where the cremations are done. The facility is immaculate, and your pet is handled with the ultimate respect. They process your pet as quickly as possible. Your pet travels through the process with a numbered metal tag that does not melt so you are assured you are receiving the correct cremains. Everyone who works there is a true animal lover who wants to provide a good experience at a very difficult time.

While it does not erase what happened, I am appreciative that this incident was taken seriously. Though the passing of our beloved Sadie was expected soon it was not expected as quickly as it happened and we were not prepared. Faithful Companion made this dreadful after moment needs easy. I had in my head that my baby would arrive in a plastic bag and I would need to figure out a resting place for her. I was overwhelmed in the moment. Not only did the vet call me sooner than expected but when I arrived my baby was compassionately and lovingly taken care of. Couldn’t have asked for a better company to help us during such a difficult time. We used Lap of Love on Thursday for the in-home euthanasia, then the doctor took my baby straight to Faithful companions. I received a call from Faithful Companions on Friday morning letting me know that he was ready to come home. They offered to drop him off at our house at whatever time worked best for us but we opted to pick him up. They gave us a beautiful wooden urn with his name carved in the front of it. Words can't express how grateful we are that Faithful Companion was there for us in our time of grievance. I initially called Animal Care & Control because I didn't know who else to call and, even though our friend was terminally ill, I wasn't prepared for THE day. Animal Care's response was that we had to put him out on the curb since their policy refuses to allow them to enter the home! I couldn't believe it and to add insult to injury the dispatcher was unsentimental beyond belief.Thankfully, I gathered myself and called CARE who referred us to Faithful Companion. Everyone was so empathetic to our situation and handled everything with the upmost respect. I could not have been more proud and appreciative that our dear friend of 12 1/2 years was being cared for in such a way. We honestly could not have asked for more. Kind, professional, calming experience, facility, and service. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that guided us through our witnessed private service. He was wonderful. I chose this place because they offered the witnessed service and were highly recommended online. I will recommend them to everyone. I do suggest that you call when you arrive and wait for them to open the door before carrying your pet to the door. They could be busy with another client and may take a few minutes to come to the door.

My mothers dog passed very recently and we were able to bring our little girl in for her final services and receive her ashes and paw prints the next day. The price point was very fair, I think it was $275 for the cremation, box for ashes and paw prints which was a little less than the vet for similar services and memorials. We were shown great compassion and kindness by the staff and while I don’t look forward to the day we’ll need their services again, I am grateful I’ll know who to turn to when the time comes.

We've never been through this before as a family so we didn't know what to expect. Our Sally was returned to us less than 24 hours later, personally delivered by a staff member who called ahead to say he was coming. She is in a beautiful carved box with her name on it and the date of her passing. They also included information on pet loss support groups in our area and other ways that we can memorialize our Sally. We have six other fur babies so, when the time comes, we will absolutely use Faithful Companion again. Highly recommend.

I can not express the gratitude I have for this A+ rated business. About 4 years ago I lost my Boo, 15 yo jrt in my arms. My daughter got in touch with these wonderful people and they are so compassionate and kind and so caring. Well, now about 4 months ago we lost her daughter Lucy. Because of covid and several negative happenings in our life I never thought what happened would happen to my family after Lucy died. First my Dad died shortly after, then news the mortgage company no longer would except our payments and chose to foreclose. I called these fine caring people a few times to explain what was going on and it took me about a month extra to get my money together to get my baby girl Lucy home with me. I rang the bell and we were greeted by a sweet young lady with beautiful long dark hair. I gave her my name and had explained the details of the calls that I wanted to take my Lucy home. She excused herself and came back a couple minutes later. She reached out to hand me the bag I recognized from getting my Boo Boo years earlier. I reached for my wallet to pay and she so sweetly and softly said, oh no. There's no charge. She said we have been thinking about you since the call I made to them explaining I would be in to get Lucy in a couple weeks. They had decided to do the procedure with no charge because of my situation. I am 58 yo and have never in my life met or done business with such a compassionate kind caring group of people. I just can't express how wonderful this place is at such a difficult time in our life's and how sweet they all are here. I can't tell you how such a terribly hard time in my life these folks came to my aid and never made me feel any kind of way.i can't thank the young lady enough for how she was. After she handed Lucy to me in her beautiful box with her name etched on the front, which by the way I hadn't even asked for that service, these wonderful people went the extra knowing how things were going for me. They are the best and I highly recommend them in your time of loss they are truly the kindest most generous people I have ever met. I can not thank you all enough. God bless you all. The kindness and transparency of this team during an impossibly difficult time in my life was incredible. This was my first experience losing a dog and I had no idea what steps I needed to take. I spoke to a couple team members and they were all helpful and sympathetic throughout. When I asked if I could pick up my dog’s remains instead of using their delivery service, I was immediately told yes and received a call a few hours later to let me know they were ready. Unfortunately I had to put my fur baby down due to cancer. I didn't deal directly with Faithful Companion, the vet handled all of that for me, but her ashes were returned quickly and the box that they put her in was beautiful. They had her name and the date that she was cremated printed on the bottom and the paw print came with an easel so I can put them together and always remember her. So grateful to have someone that took such good care of my girl.

Edited to 4 star review. Grayson from Faithful Companions called me to express his condolences. He explained that they try to get pets back home as quickly as possible and they try to not disturb families in the meantime, so they rely on the vets office to provide information. He will make sure someone follows up with our vet so this doesn’t happen in the future. Wonderful, wonderful people. =)———Our dog Kermott was almost 15 years old. He was in pain due to 5 bone spurs on his spine, so after months of acupuncture and maxing out the dose of pain medication he could be on, we decided to put him to sleep this past Wednesday. The vet was sweet enough to come to our house for the euthanasia. I asked what would happen now and she said that Faithful Companions would be in contact with me about everything else, but they’ll cremate him. I spoke with the vet on Thursday afternoon and they said that they believe Kermott was picked up because they do daily pickups, but that I should receive a call from them by Friday. After reading reviews here and looking on their website I was really hoping for a paw print keepsake. I got a call from Faithful Companion at almost 8 last night (Thursday) saying that he had been cremated and they would like to bring him home (or to the vet) today. I asked if he’ll be in a box and she said that he would be in the standard box. She told me the price and we scheduled drop off for today (Friday).Kermott was just brought home by the sweetest delivery driver, but I was saddened to see only the box in the bag. No paw print impression. I wish I had been contacted sooner in the process to go over options and pricing (none of which was explained to me). I don’t know if this was a miscommunication on the vet’s part or that of Faithful Companion. I just don’t want the oversight to happen to any other family who wants a final keepsake from their pet.Faithful Companion does have a wonderful process where they pickup from the vet and drop off back to home (or the vet). Kermott was returned to us in a little more than 48 hours from his passing. Thank you for that. And that you to the sweet van driver. I would use the service again, but I’m very sad that all the options weren’t explained to us prior to cremation, hence the 3 star rating.

Our sweet boy guinea pig had to be euthanized Sunday 5/23 due to urinary stones and GI stasis. This has been very painful losing our baby at only 3 years old but Faithful Companion has made this process a joyous one. They have been so helpful and returned our guinea pig to us the next morning. When my 12 year old Rottweiler, Tess, passed on New Year's Day, we took her over to the Huntersville 24 hour vet hospital. They told us about Faithful Companion and how they handle cremation for pets. The process was handled so swiftly and efficiently. Tess was back home by early Sunday morning. My experience here was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I had to make the most difficult decision any pet owners can make. I had to put my sweet pet rat Westinghouse to sleep.I knew I wanted him cremated and a set of paw prints taken, but it was a tough evening and I didn't even think to call just a few hours earlier to ask about a tail print.I was blown away when I saw the memorial stone, not only were the paw prints perfect, BUT THEY HAD A TAIL PRINT!! I don't know if they cremate a lot of rats, but they knew exactly what I would want.Thank you. I will definitely be using you for my sweet rats in the future.What a beautiful remembrance.

This place is horrible and they have no compassion for your baby. If I could give no stars I would. They picked my baby up on Thursday at an emergency vet. They left a message for me to call them on Saturday. Upon calling back I was greeted by a very young girl on the line that called me by the wrong family name. She then said everything went well and wanted to know which paw I wanted to use for the paw print. I said "it is a little to late to ask that now as you just said everything went well." I proceeded to ask her if she even had the right baby and she said "yes Duke is the only pet we have right now." But still called me by the wrong family name. I was to get a call from their driver when they dropped him off at the vet. On Wednesday I finally called them back to learn from Chad that my baby had been back at the vet since Saturday evening. I never received a call. I have cried everyday since Thursday missing and grieving for my baby boy. Chad only said "sorry that happened we dropped the ball." Well yes you did with my baby!! My baby boy I have cared for and loved of 11 years. This facility has placed so much more pain and heartache on me because of their unprofessionalism. I will NEVER use this place again and I will never recommend them to ANYONE.

My pup passed away at Long Animal and Faithful Companion handled Jake’s cremation. FC picked him up the same day, and when the cremation was completed the next day, Dana left me such a kind, caring voicemail wanting to “return Jake home”. His voice and kindness and empathy was just, so very appreciated. I returned Dana’s call and confirmed a time for Jake to come home, and they were on time and had taken such great care with their packaging of the remains and paw prints. The paw prints are amazingly done, and so beautiful. Having Jake back with me within 24 hours was so special and helpful for my healing. I have a recent non-consensual encounter with Faithful Companion. Our cat was put to sleep at Commonwealth Animal Hospital on New Year's Eve. It wasn't planned, and we haven't really done this before, so when the vet asked "will you want her ashes back," of course we said yes without any hesitation or follow up question. No one at the vet office explained the cost, our options (yes, you have options) or the fact that they use Faithful Companion.Fast forward to Monday, I got a call from Faithful Companion stating that our cat's ashes was ready to be picked up, and that the charge is $315. I was dumbfounded. We already paid a sizable bill at the vet's office on Friday, we thought that included the cremation (since we told them that's our wish BEFORE we were given the bill). Turned out that was just the vet bill for test, x-ray and euthanasia.Keep in mind, our cat was just barely over 6 pounds. How could a 6 pounds cat cost that much to cremate. It led me to research. Average cost to private cremate is $150-200 for pet weight 0-30lb. However this company says they charge a flat fee ($275, $40 for paw print). I guess if you have a large pet, this is a bargain place to go. After several days of back and forth calling the vet office and Faithful Companion, I find out we could have asked the vet office to hold our pet's body until we decide where to send her. Except no one will tell you that option. Instead, they send your pet to the most expensive and further place in Charlotte. That leads me to ask "why?" My guess is the vet offices receive kickback from using Faithful Companion. Otherwise why would a vet office in Midwood not use a less expensive crematory in South End, but send to somewhere by airport that charges almost double the price?I am giving 3 stars (and not less) because 1) they were nice on the phone even though I was losing my cool; 2) it's equally the fault and greed of the vet office; 3) I was able to come to agreement with the manager Grayson; 4) eventually after 3 days, I was able to get our cat's ashes and paw print back.But I literally had the worst 3 days of my life (and didn't want to worry my elderly parents so I couldn't tell them about the fight I had trying to get their cat's ashes back). I want all pet owners to know you have to ask questions even when you're crying your eyeballs out and you have options. DO NOT allow unethical businesses to continue taking advantage of grieving pet owners.

I am devastated by the loss of my precious Kallie Sue, the Blue Eyed Beagle. While she was a senior (12 years old)her sudden decline was unexpected. When we rushed in to Carolina Veterinary Specialists ER around 10pm on 8/13/19, she was barely clinging to life. I requested her to be cremated and to have the ashes returned to me. The emergency vet said that I would be contacted the following day by Faithful Companion. I received the call from Luke. He was wonderful and kind and patient. Her cremains were returned today (never have I seen this be done so quickly). I am still so very sad, but having her back home with her sister Tigger and me has given me needed peace. The paw print is beautiful and I will treasure it forever. I am thankful for you all and highly recommend their service. They are a blessing.

Kind, professional, calming experience, facility, and service. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that guided us through our witnessed private service. He was wonderful. I chose this place because they offered the witnessed service and were highly recommended online. I will recommend them to everyone. I do suggest that you call when you arrive and wait for them to open the door before carrying your pet to the door. They could be busy with another client and may take a few minutes to come to the door.

My mothers dog passed very recently and we were able to bring our little girl in for her final services and receive her ashes and paw prints the next day. The price point was very fair, I think it was $275 for the cremation, box for ashes and paw prints which was a little less than the vet for similar services and memorials. We were shown great compassion and kindness by the staff and while I don’t look forward to the day we’ll need their services again, I am grateful I’ll know who to turn to when the time comes.

We've never been through this before as a family so we didn't know what to expect. Our Sally was returned to us less than 24 hours later, personally delivered by a staff member who called ahead to say he was coming. She is in a beautiful carved box with her name on it and the date of her passing. They also included information on pet loss support groups in our area and other ways that we can memorialize our Sally. We have six other fur babies so, when the time comes, we will absolutely use Faithful Companion again. Highly recommend.

I can not express the gratitude I have for this A+ rated business. About 4 years ago I lost my Boo, 15 yo jrt in my arms. My daughter got in touch with these wonderful people and they are so compassionate and kind and so caring. Well, now about 4 months ago we lost her daughter Lucy. Because of covid and several negative happenings in our life I never thought what happened would happen to my family after Lucy died. First my Dad died shortly after, then news the mortgage company no longer would except our payments and chose to foreclose. I called these fine caring people a few times to explain what was going on and it took me about a month extra to get my money together to get my baby girl Lucy home with me. I rang the bell and we were greeted by a sweet young lady with beautiful long dark hair. I gave her my name and had explained the details of the calls that I wanted to take my Lucy home. She excused herself and came back a couple minutes later. She reached out to hand me the bag I recognized from getting my Boo Boo years earlier. I reached for my wallet to pay and she so sweetly and softly said, oh no. There's no charge. She said we have been thinking about you since the call I made to them explaining I would be in to get Lucy in a couple weeks. They had decided to do the procedure with no charge because of my situation. I am 58 yo and have never in my life met or done business with such a compassionate kind caring group of people. I just can't express how wonderful this place is at such a difficult time in our life's and how sweet they all are here. I can't tell you how such a terribly hard time in my life these folks came to my aid and never made me feel any kind of way.i can't thank the young lady enough for how she was. After she handed Lucy to me in her beautiful box with her name etched on the front, which by the way I hadn't even asked for that service, these wonderful people went the extra knowing how things were going for me. They are the best and I highly recommend them in your time of loss they are truly the kindest most generous people I have ever met. I can not thank you all enough. God bless you all. Unfortunately I had to put my fur baby down due to cancer. I didn't deal directly with Faithful Companion, the vet handled all of that for me, but her ashes were returned quickly and the box that they put her in was beautiful. They had her name and the date that she was cremated printed on the bottom and the paw print came with an easel so I can put them together and always remember her. So grateful to have someone that took such good care of my girl.

Edited to 4 star review. Grayson from Faithful Companions called me to express his condolences. He explained that they try to get pets back home as quickly as possible and they try to not disturb families in the meantime, so they rely on the vets office to provide information. He will make sure someone follows up with our vet so this doesn’t happen in the future. Wonderful, wonderful people. =)———Our dog Kermott was almost 15 years old. He was in pain due to 5 bone spurs on his spine, so after months of acupuncture and maxing out the dose of pain medication he could be on, we decided to put him to sleep this past Wednesday. The vet was sweet enough to come to our house for the euthanasia. I asked what would happen now and she said that Faithful Companions would be in contact with me about everything else, but they’ll cremate him. I spoke with the vet on Thursday afternoon and they said that they believe Kermott was picked up because they do daily pickups, but that I should receive a call from them by Friday. After reading reviews here and looking on their website I was really hoping for a paw print keepsake. I got a call from Faithful Companion at almost 8 last night (Thursday) saying that he had been cremated and they would like to bring him home (or to the vet) today. I asked if he’ll be in a box and she said that he would be in the standard box. She told me the price and we scheduled drop off for today (Friday).Kermott was just brought home by the sweetest delivery driver, but I was saddened to see only the box in the bag. No paw print impression. I wish I had been contacted sooner in the process to go over options and pricing (none of which was explained to me). I don’t know if this was a miscommunication on the vet’s part or that of Faithful Companion. I just don’t want the oversight to happen to any other family who wants a final keepsake from their pet.Faithful Companion does have a wonderful process where they pickup from the vet and drop off back to home (or the vet). Kermott was returned to us in a little more than 48 hours from his passing. Thank you for that. And that you to the sweet van driver. I would use the service again, but I’m very sad that all the options weren’t explained to us prior to cremation, hence the 3 star rating.

Faithful Companion helped me through the most difficult time of losing my 13 yr old dog. She passed at home and I drove her to Faithful Companion. I called before I left and they were waiting and ready to help me when I pulled up. The man that took me insde was so kind and understanding. It was a simple and smooth process. Called on a Friday, 15 March 2019, around 5am after finding my Bulldog Calista had passed away in her sleep the night prior. Faithful companion answered the phone and helped me through the process of what they offered and how they could help with the cremation of my family friend. Everyone I spoke with was extremely courteous and respectful of our family loss and tried to make it is easy a process as possible. They came a few hours later and picked up our dog, performed the service and returned her the next day to us. Our sweet boy guinea pig had to be euthanized Sunday 5/23 due to urinary stones and GI stasis. This has been very painful losing our baby at only 3 years old but Faithful Companion has made this process a joyous one. They have been so helpful and returned our guinea pig to us the next morning. They even gave us a clay paw print of our Frankie. Highly recommend going with these guys for your pets cremation!

When my 12 year old Rottweiler, Tess, passed on New Year's Day, we took her over to the Huntersville 24 hour vet hospital. They told us about Faithful Companion and how they handle cremation for pets. The process was handled so swiftly and efficiently. Tess was back home by early Sunday morning. My experience here was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I had to make the most difficult decision any pet owners can make. I had to put my sweet pet rat Westinghouse to sleep.I knew I wanted him cremated and a set of paw prints taken, but it was a tough evening and I didn't even think to call just a few hours earlier to ask about a tail print.I was blown away when I saw the memorial stone, not only were the paw prints perfect, BUT THEY HAD A TAIL PRINT!! I don't know if they cremate a lot of rats, but they knew exactly what I would want.Thank you. I will definitely be using you for my sweet rats in the future.What a beautiful remembrance.

This place is horrible and they have no compassion for your baby. If I could give no stars I would. They picked my baby up on Thursday at an emergency vet. They left a message for me to call them on Saturday. Upon calling back I was greeted by a very young girl on the line that called me by the wrong family name. She then said everything went well and wanted to know which paw I wanted to use for the paw print. I said "it is a little to late to ask that now as you just said everything went well." I proceeded to ask her if she even had the right baby and she said "yes Duke is the only pet we have right now." But still called me by the wrong family name. I was to get a call from their driver when they dropped him off at the vet. On Wednesday I finally called them back to learn from Chad that my baby had been back at the vet since Saturday evening. I never received a call. I have cried everyday since Thursday missing and grieving for my baby boy. Chad only said "sorry that happened we dropped the ball." Well yes you did with my baby!! My baby boy I have cared for and loved of 11 years. This facility has placed so much more pain and heartache on me because of their unprofessionalism. I will NEVER use this place again and I will never recommend them to ANYONE.

My dog passed away after 14yrs with my family from old age on feb 27th 2019...they were so helpful, caring, and understanding it definitely made the process a lot more easier. I received my baby back within 24hrs..everything done beautiful just how we wanted. Although they cant bring our loved ones back, they do an amazing job with their work and they allowed us to have all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes. I have another dog close in age to the one who passed i will definitely bring her when its time. I cant thank you all enough for all you have done. Its never easy losing a loved one but you and your team made it a little less painful. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🤗 😇🐕 R.I.P. My pretty pretty girl.

I had my beloved rabbit cremated here and have held onto the ashes for 5 years so that I could spread him when my other animals passed away. This weekend when I took the ashes with my others up to mountains to spread them I opened his to find that it was just a bag of sand!! The animals I had cremated at other places were proper bone fragments but Faithful Companion gave me a bag of sand. This is completely disrespectful. I understand that ashes aren't the most important thing in the world but I PAID for a service. Adding a $1 wooden box from China and a couple of paper seeds does not make up for me paying for a bag of sand. I don't recommend taking your pet here unless you want their body in the landfill where it will never decompose. Rest in peace to my little baby. I'm sorry I couldn't bury you with your brothers.

I lucked out so to speak in this extremely difficult and emotional time. My pup passed away at Long Animal and Faithful Companion handled Jake’s cremation. FC picked him up the same day, and when the cremation was completed the next day, Dana left me such a kind, caring voicemail wanting to “return Jake home”. His voice and kindness and empathy was just, so very appreciated. I returned Dana’s call and confirmed a time for Jake to come home, and they were on time and had taken such great care with their packaging of the remains and paw prints. The paw prints are amazingly done, and so beautiful. Having Jake back with me within 24 hours was so special and helpful for my healing. I have a recent non-consensual encounter with Faithful Companion. Our cat was put to sleep at Commonwealth Animal Hospital on New Year's Eve. It wasn't planned, and we haven't really done this before, so when the vet asked "will you want her ashes back," of course we said yes without any hesitation or follow up question. No one at the vet office explained the cost, our options (yes, you have options) or the fact that they use Faithful Companion.Fast forward to Monday, I got a call from Faithful Companion stating that our cat's ashes was ready to be picked up, and that the charge is $315. I was dumbfounded. We already paid a sizable bill at the vet's office on Friday, we thought that included the cremation (since we told them that's our wish BEFORE we were given the bill). Turned out that was just the vet bill for test, x-ray and euthanasia.Keep in mind, our cat was just barely over 6 pounds. How could a 6 pounds cat cost that much to cremate. It led me to research. Average cost to private cremate is $150-200 for pet weight 0-30lb. However this company says they charge a flat fee ($275, $40 for paw print). I guess if you have a large pet, this is a bargain place to go. After several days of back and forth calling the vet office and Faithful Companion, I find out we could have asked the vet office to hold our pet's body until we decide where to send her. Except no one will tell you that option. Instead, they send your pet to the most expensive and further place in Charlotte. That leads me to ask "why?" My guess is the vet offices receive kickback from using Faithful Companion. Otherwise why would a vet office in Midwood not use a less expensive crematory in South End, but send to somewhere by airport that charges almost double the price?I am giving 3 stars (and not less) because 1) they were nice on the phone even though I was losing my cool; 2) it's equally the fault and greed of the vet office; 3) I was able to come to agreement with the manager Grayson; 4) eventually after 3 days, I was able to get our cat's ashes and paw print back.But I literally had the worst 3 days of my life (and didn't want to worry my elderly parents so I couldn't tell them about the fight I had trying to get their cat's ashes back). I want all pet owners to know you have to ask questions even when you're crying your eyeballs out and you have options. DO NOT allow unethical businesses to continue taking advantage of grieving pet owners.

I am devastated by the loss of my precious Kallie Sue, the Blue Eyed Beagle. While she was a senior (12 years old)her sudden decline was unexpected. When we rushed in to Carolina Veterinary Specialists ER around 10pm on 8/13/19, she was barely clinging to life. I requested her to be cremated and to have the ashes returned to me. The emergency vet said that I would be contacted the following day by Faithful Companion. I received the call from Luke. He was wonderful and kind and patient. Her cremains were returned today (never have I seen this be done so quickly). I am still so very sad, but having her back home with her sister Tigger and me has given me needed peace. The paw print is beautiful and I will treasure it forever. I am thankful for you all and highly recommend their service. They are a blessing.

IF I COULD LEAVE A ZERO I WOULD!Sunday April 24, 2022 our French bulldog Benny was delivered. The delivery man called to say he was about 12 minutes away. Rob the driver DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RING MY DOOR BELL OR KNOCK ON MY FRONT DOOR TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS HERE. ROB JUST LEFT BENNY ON THE PORCH.IF I HADN'T LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND SEEN ROB WALKING DOWN THE FRONT BENNY'S ASHES WOULD STILL BE THERE ON THE PORCH AND I WOULDN'T HAVE FOUND UNTIL TOMORROW. In the driver's phone message he didn't say he was leaving him on the porch.THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT PROFESSIONAL OR CONSIDERATE OR RESPECTFUL!!!!I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Called on a Friday, 15 March 2019, around 5am after finding my Bulldog Calista had passed away in her sleep the night prior. Faithful companion answered the phone and helped me through the process of what they offered and how they could help with the cremation of my family friend. Everyone I spoke with was extremely courteous and respectful of our family loss and tried to make it is easy a process as possible. They came a few hours later and picked up our dog, performed the service and returned her the next day to us. IF I COULD LEAVE A ZERO I WOULD!Sunday April 24, 2022 our French bulldog Benny was delivered. The delivery man called to say he was about 12 minutes away. Rob the driver DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RING MY DOOR BELL OR KNOCK ON MY FRONT DOOR TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS HERE. ROB JUST LEFT BENNY ON THE PORCH.IF I HADN'T LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND SEEN ROB WALKING DOWN THE FRONT BENNY'S ASHES WOULD STILL BE THERE ON THE PORCH AND I WOULDN'T HAVE FOUND UNTIL TOMORROW. In the driver's phone message he didn't say he was leaving him on the porch.THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT PROFESSIONAL OR CONSIDERATE OR RESPECTFUL!!!!I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. ALSO I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO USE YOUR COMPANY.These precious little fur babies are just that, precious to their family and They ALL DESERVE TO BE TREATED RESPECTFULLY!This behavior shows me and everyone else just how disrespectful your company is!Sincerely,Kathie Byer

Yash is our hero. We are eternally grateful to him for his boundless concern, kindness and care. We arrived at Faithful Companion this morning at 9:30 am. We walked out with ''Ma" at 11:30. Yash made a difficult time tolerable. He went above and beyond in EVERY way possible.

I can't thank Faithful Companion enough for making such a difficult time so easy. It was a hard decision to make as my little Twinkie was 18 yrs old. When the vet helped me realize her quality of life was severely diminished, I decided it was time to let her go. I called Faithful Companion and they took care of everything. They picked her up and accommodated my request for 2 clay paw prints and delivered everything to my door. All handled immediately and extremely reasonable, the standard carved box is beautiful. Thank you again for such great service.

I don’t normally give reviews but this was well deserved I just want to thank faithful companion for helping my family and I through this devastating ordeal of loosing my buddy of 14 years from the first phone call to the delivery of my maltipoos remains was so caring and the compassion that was showed to us was just very appreciated he was treated with so much respect like the king that he was he passed the night of Sept 2 it’s Sept 4 and he’s back with us where he belongs You guys are awesome Thank you for the comfort you provided

Mine,my girl friends and her 4 kids beautiful boy thor was taken from us on new years eve by a vet that didn't want to do a surgery on him that he needed because we werent able to come up with the all of the funds up Front we got up the funds and then they just kept raising them so we had to let are boy go I wanna thank everyone at faithful companion they held a private service for are boy and then covered the funeral bill so no cost to us and then they went above that and personally delivered him to me at my job I wanna thank all of them from the bottom of mine and are family's heart for what they did
