Customer service was great when we dropped off our beloved pup but was very unsatisfied when we received him back. My husband made sure we told the employee we wanted the paw print package included and somehow did not end up getting it at the end when we went to go pick up our boy. Service was fast and great on the other hand. Just make sure you have the correct package and don’t get your hopes too high with this place. I will not be returning.

I lost my furbaby on 9/11after a gallant fight with kidney disease. I brought him to Uwharrie and they took great care of him. I got him back the next day. I’m grateful that they offer this service along with a very reasonable cost. The cost included creamation, a beautiful urn, creamation certificate and a sympathy card. Thank you so much!

All I received from my beloved pet was a box of ashes I wish they would have a least gave me a cremation certificate and a paw print 🐾 Not even a sympathy card. My heart is broken.

It is never easy when you loose a loved one, even a fur-baby. When Koko died, Uwharrie Pet Cremation was presented as an option for his remains. I had had animals cremated in the past, but I have never received a certificate, memorial paw print, sympathy card, lovely engraved box and all presented in a nice bag. Very thoughtful and professional. I was also impressed with how quickly it was done and how affordable. I would recommend this business without hesitation.

We have said two bittersweet goodbyes to our fur-babies on two separate occasions. The staff at Uwharrie Pet Cremation went above and beyond to make such a difficult time in our lives a better memory - they understand that to some families, pets are more than just an animal - they are truly a part of your entire life. Thanks again to such a wonderful and caring group of people for taking care of our babies and most of all for taking care of our hearts........

After having made the heart wrenching decision to euthanize my much loved Standard Poodle, Crow, I chose to have him cremated like my other beloved dogs. Being new to N. C. I had no vet or any idea where to have this done. Locust Animal Clinic was nearby and seemed compassionate. They handled the details of everything making a heartbreaking time much easier. Can't say enough good things about the clinic or Uwharrie Cremation Services. It's been only two days and I've already brought Crow home. In a beautiful wooden box, with a poem, sympathy card and certificate with his name. Very surprised and comforted by the kindness and compassion shown by all involved during this very trying and emotional time. Thank you.

Our dog passed Sunday morning. I called and they received her Sunday afternoon. Very nice people to open and help us with our little poodle.

My husband and I lost our sweet cat, Cricket, yesterday unexpectedly. After having my employee recommend Uwharrie Pet Cremations we called and met Ashton Laney at the funeral home. I am VERY disappointed the way we were talked to. As a dog trainer, my husband and I consider all our dogs and cats family members rather than just another animal. We have never gotten one of our cats cremated, and being a first, it hurt my heart laying his still warm body in the back of an empty truck and sending him off anyway from us. As I cried Ashton would stare and not say anything. I am very thankful for the support of my employees during this time as they tried to make the process as easy as possible. As for Ashton.... as soon as we started backing out, I regret leaving our sweet boy there. I wish I would have picked him up and taken him somewhere else with more respect for our family member. As I laid over night thinking over and over about our experience I wish even more that I would have gone somewhere else. I’m very disappointed. I just hope they have another employee, rather than Ashton, meet us to get our boy back.Update:Because of Joe Whitley, I am changing my one star review to a three star, I’m giving three stars due to the fact that we cannot undo Ashton’s actions.Mr. Joe delivered Cricket back to me and was exactly what I needed. Joe was very involved and cared about the service that they provide. He informed me they are looking into the way Cricket, my husband and I were treated with Ashton. I am SO happy to have our boy back home. Thank you Joe for all your help and compassion!! We will forever use Joe and only Joe forever more with Uwharrie Pet Cremations.-Mariah Young

I recently lost my best friend Rico. The services provides by Stephen and Jimmy were extremely compassionate and completely professional. I do not think I would have recieved better service anywhere. I would recommend these gentlemen to anyone who suffered the lose of their pet. Thank you both and God bless.
