Rainbow Bridge provided an exceptional service to my family and I during a very difficult time. Our cat passed unexpectedly in our house and they were able to pick up our cat same day. I received the ashes in a beautiful tin with a paw print and locks of fur as well as memorial photo with a poem. I was teary-eyed the entire time. Eric and Paul were incredibly sensitive and kind when our beloved Smokey died. Eric explained the process when we called for information and Paul patiently gave us as much time as we needed to hold him one last time and say our good bye. When you have the most gut wrenching decision to make regarding what to do with your beloved pets remains look no further. Eric could not have been more compassionate or understanding in helping with making this horrible situation just a little more bearable for my wife and I. He retieved our beloved Rodney from our vets office as we were leaving to ensure that our pet was given the dignity and care that he so much deserved. Eric and Liz have a clear devotion to their work and it shines through in their gentle demeanor, patience, and compassion. They will happily walk you through all of your questions and lend a sympathetic ear to your favorite stories of your lost loved ones. They also provide a lovely rainbow bridge poem certificate customized with your pets name and photo,as well as creating a plaster paw print and laminating a cutting of some of their hair/fur. They got into the business due to the disappointing lack of options in the area and their negative experiences with the industry after the passing of Eric's arson investigating partner dog, Blaze (pictured). They are clearly committed to providing a quality a trustworthy experience.The only drawback is that there might be a bit of sticker shock--we paid around 250 for a private cremationa. There is no doubt that you are getting your money's worth, however, as even the smallest animals require 3 hours of dedicated time in the crematorium--the reason many places are able to offer a lower price is most easily explained by the industry's reputation for being rather unscrupulous about actually providing you with the ashes that actually 'belong' to your pet.One thing to note--the storefront is actually tucked behind an autobody repair shop, so from the street just look for a small sign pointing down a driveway rather than the lovely mural pictured.

I cannot thank and recommend Rainbow Bridge enough! Our 9 year old English Bulldog passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. Having to process what took place in a matter of seconds, trying to explain and be strong for our two young confused kids, and calling local animal hospitals to find out what we should do…on Christmas Eve, was not easy! After googling and coming across Rainbow Bridge, we called and spoke with Eric who was so extremely helpful. Between all the emotions and not being prepared for this situation, Eric understood and allowed us time to process and never rushed us to get there, especially given it was Christmas Eve. The entire process from start to finish with Rainbow Bridge was smooth and heartfelt. I truly feel we wouldn’t have received the same comforting, sympathetic and patient care from anyone else and we LOVE all the thoughtful keepsakes they provide (framed poem, paw print and hair) for us to remember our beloved Boris. Christmas Eve will never be the same for us but we can’t thank Rainbow Bridge enough and don’t know what we would’ve done without them!

I can't thank Rainbow Bridge enough for being there for us in our families time of need. They went above and beyond to preserve our memory of our cat Precious after she passed away. Rainbow Bridge and Eric made the grief from the loss of our pet Socrates easier by handling the body in a totally dignified and respectful way and completing the process within 24 hours. Today I said my final goodbye to my baby, something that was made as comforting as possible by Eric and his establishment. Being able to touch, kiss and talk to my baby girl Destinee one last time was exactly the closure I needed after going thru such a hard and painful loss recently. When I saw the reviews of Rainbow I was certain that I was going to call and bring my cat Max to them. Eric over the phone was very nice and felt the same way as pet owner over the death of a pet. He's been through the same thing. When we arrived at his facility the feeling walking through made you feel like it was the place. There were many selections of urns and other products. They give you a a clipping of your pets hair and paw print.Picture frame with a poem and pets pic.Very happy with the service

In a time that is so difficult and sad, Eric at Rainbow Bridge made this process so much easier by ensuring our cat would be taken care of. On April 21,2023 we lost our sweet 16 year old cat Bella. When I called Rainbow Bridge, I didn’t even know what to say but Eric made that conversation so much easier to have. When we brought Bella to RB Eric was so kind and caring. We picked Bella up exactly when he said she would be ready. 1 week later the unimaginable happened. We lost Bella’s brother JJ. We cannot recommend their services enough. Eric understood what an important part of the family our Chewy was. We couldn’t have trusted anyone else to take care of our sweet boy. Rainbow Bridge was clearly started by an animal lover who saw the importance in providing an ethical and dignified service for our furry friends - which is rare to come by. Eric came to our house 40 minutes away and let us take all the time we needed to say goodbye before taking Chewy with him. When we came to pick him up there were so many options available and precious keepsakes at a more than reasonable price. My cat Poopie passed away February 4, 2024. It was very sudden and heartbreaking. luckily for my family and I, our vet is paired with Rainbow Bridge to cremate the remains of those whose pets pass. Although it took two weeks to get Poopie back home, it was such a lovely experience. Not only did we receive a certificate of his cremation, but his remains came in a beautiful wooden box, a paw print and a patch of his fur. When we receive him, it was in a gift bag (a bright green one). My birthday was on the 12th and sadly he wasn’t here for it, but getting this bag felt like the best gift ever. I highly recommend rainbow bridge and all the great they do for grieving pet parents and families.

There are no words that can describe how grateful I am for Eric and Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory. The 24th makes it one month since my sweet boy unexpectedly passed away. In an instant, my best friend of over 10 years was gone and I was jolted into an alternate reality without him. Everything happened so quickly and I felt like I wouldn’t have the chance for a final goodbye. My brother set everything up with Eric at Rainbow Bridge and I was given the opportunity to have a peaceful goodbye with my pup. As soon as I walked in, I knew we were exactly where we were supposed to be and that my dog was in the best hands. I knew that Brooklyn was not just another dog to Eric and the entire process was done in such a personal and respectful manner. I know a piece of my heart will always be missing but I am forever grateful for Eric and Rainbow Bridge to help start the healing process.

Rainbow Bridge and Eric made the grief from the loss of our pet Socrates easier by handling the body in a totally dignified and respectful way and completing the process within 24 hours. Our Dog, Hudson passed away on November 15th. I only knew of one local crematorium for pets that we had used years ago and how pricey it had been. Losing my 15 yr companion, is definitely one of the most difficult times I have had to endure. Chloe was a short hair gray tabby cat, with a very unique personality. Unfortunately, she was ill from very young, requiringspecial diets, medications and grooming. With much love and tender loving care, she always bounced back, and lived a fruitful life I spontaneously called my son, heartbroken and shaken up, when I found her lifeless. Our sweet husky Sabrina passed away ten days ago. We’re from Long Island and so many places here wouldn’t cremate her for at least a week and didn’t offer private cremations. We found Rainbow Bridge and called Eric who was the kindest soul. He told us we could bring her by the same day and cremated her the next morning. He was so empathetic and I could tell he was a true animal lover. He allowed my fiancé and I time to say goodbye and didn’t rush us at all. After the cremation, Eric was so flexible with when we were able to get her ashes. When we got there, we were given our baby girl’s ashes, along with her clay paw print, a beautiful picture with the rainbow bridge poem and a prayer card of her fur. When my cat was sick, I researched and learned that I could be an interactive part of my pet's cremation. I did some research and found Rainbow Bridge. When I called, the owner answered. It was a Saturday evening He was accommodating and kind. He told me his name was Eric and he gave me so much information and said to keep them posted and when you need us we are here. Well,the day came and I called him and he scheduled me immediately. The whole process was seamless. He was understanding and helpful. I felt reassurance that I could be with my cat throughout the entire process. They gave me a very pretty container to put her ashes in. The photo poem frames are so beautiful. Great service, empathetic to our loss! Eric has our Yorkie Bishop nicely prepared for us to view him prior to the cremation. He understands that pets are like family. He offers a reasonable price and gives you priceless keepsakes. Definitely recommend their services for your pet!Update: On 2/5/2024, we unfortunately put down our second dog and we chose Eric without hesitation. Our dog was at the vet and he said he usually doesn’t pick up dogs from vets bc of past bad experiences but he had a smooth transition of our dog to his facility. Unfortunately due to COVID, we are now no longer able to view our dog prior to cremation as last time, but outside of that, nothing else has changed. Eric was very reassuring that we did the right thing by our small 2lb dog who dropped to a pound due to cancer. Today I said my final goodbye to my baby, something that was made as comforting as possible by Eric and his establishment. When I saw the reviews of Rainbow I was certain that I was going to call and bring my cat Max to them. Eric over the phone was very nice and felt the same way as pet owner over the death of a pet. He's been through the same thing. When we arrived at his facility the feeling walking through made you feel like it was the place. There were many selections of urns and other products. On April 21,2023 we lost our sweet 16 year old cat Bella. When I called Rainbow Bridge, I didn’t even know what to say but Eric made that conversation so much easier to have. The most difficult time of my families life was when we lost our 14 yr. old Dachshund "Sir Oliver Twist". I called Rainbow Bridge and explained that our Sir Oliver Twist had passed. Eric said can you come down or would you like me to pick him up. We will bring him down. Eric was the most compassion, comforting, professional person I have ever come across. On Valentine’s Day I had to say goodbye to my beloved 18-year-old cat Ruby. Making that decision is the hardest thing as a pet parent. But just like that she took a terrible turn overnight. My cat Poopie passed away February 4, 2024. It was very sudden and heartbreaking. luckily for my family and I, our vet is paired with Rainbow Bridge to cremate the remains of those whose pets pass. Although it took two weeks to get Poopie back home, it was such a lovely experience. Not only did we receive a certificate of his cremation, but his remains came in a beautiful wooden box, a paw print and a patch of his fur. When we receive him, it was in a gift bag (a bright green one). My birthday was on the 12th and sadly he wasn’t here for it, but getting this bag felt like the best gift ever. I highly recommend rainbow bridge and all the great they do for grieving pet parents and families.

There are no words that can describe how grateful I am for Eric and Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory. The 24th makes it one month since my sweet boy unexpectedly passed away. In an instant, my best friend of over 10 years was gone and I was jolted into an alternate reality without him. Everything happened so quickly and I felt like I wouldn’t have the chance for a final goodbye. My brother set everything up with Eric at Rainbow Bridge and I was given the opportunity to have a peaceful goodbye with my pup. We have used Rainbow Bridge twice for the cremations of our beloved Guinea pigs. They do a great job taking care of everything. I was extremely pleased with the service I received at Rainbow Bridge. The price for services was within my budget, so I decided to check it out. The owners are professional and compassionate, and they even make memorial keepsakes for you to bring home too. I really liked seeing my little mouse Zelda's picture with poem. With Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory you don't have to worry about anything else when you are grieving your loss, they take care of everything. Including a photo to show that they have beautiful, mouse-sized urns.

Our Dog, Hudson passed away on November 15th. I only knew of one local crematorium for pets that we had used years ago and how pricey it had been. Losing my 15 yr companion, is definitely one of the most difficult times I have had to endure. Chloe was a short hair gray tabby cat, with a very unique personality. Unfortunately, she was ill from very young, requiringspecial diets, medications and grooming. With much love and tender loving care, she always bounced back, and lived a fruitful life I spontaneously called my son, heartbroken and shaken up, when I found her lifeless. Our sweet husky Sabrina passed away ten days ago. We’re from Long Island and so many places here wouldn’t cremate her for at least a week and didn’t offer private cremations. We found Rainbow Bridge and called Eric who was the kindest soul. He told us we could bring her by the same day and cremated her the next morning. He was so empathetic and I could tell he was a true animal lover. He allowed my fiancé and I time to say goodbye and didn’t rush us at all. After the cremation, Eric was so flexible with when we were able to get her ashes. When we got there, we were given our baby girl’s ashes, along with her clay paw print, a beautiful picture with the rainbow bridge poem and a prayer card of her fur. When my cat was sick, I researched and learned that I could be an interactive part of my pet's cremation. I did some research and found Rainbow Bridge. When I called, the owner answered. It was a Saturday evening He was accommodating and kind. He told me his name was Eric and he gave me so much information and said to keep them posted and when you need us we are here. Well,the day came and I called him and he scheduled me immediately. The whole process was seamless. He was understanding and helpful. I felt reassurance that I could be with my cat throughout the entire process. They gave me a very pretty container to put her ashes in. The photo poem frames are so beautiful. Great service, empathetic to our loss! Eric has our Yorkie Bishop nicely prepared for us to view him prior to the cremation. He understands that pets are like family. He offers a reasonable price and gives you priceless keepsakes. Definitely recommend their services for your pet!Update: On 2/5/2024, we unfortunately put down our second dog and we chose Eric without hesitation. Our dog was at the vet and he said he usually doesn’t pick up dogs from vets bc of past bad experiences but he had a smooth transition of our dog to his facility. Unfortunately due to COVID, we are now no longer able to view our dog prior to cremation as last time, but outside of that, nothing else has changed. Eric was very reassuring that we did the right thing by our small 2lb dog who dropped to a pound due to cancer. In 2010 Grace and I returned from Iraq, where together we served as a Combat Tracking Team. I was fortunate to have been able to keep her after our tour. When everybody else said they are closed, The owner of Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory (Eric) did something different. He jumped into his 4X4 pickup and met us at his business during a crazy "white out" snow storm to help us out. It was dangerous, we had to drive very slowly with the hazards on but we were desperate to put our dog Max to rest. Eric was professional, courteous and let us take our time saying goodbye to our beloved Max. They use all their own equipment in-house, provide a full service and also have a showroom of urns and other options. He didn't even charge any extra fees for any of this. Thank you Eric. We will forever be grateful for Eric & RBPC. Our precious girl Sassy was battling acute leukemia. The plan was for our vet to come to our home & take care of everything when she was ready. Things did not work out as planned & we were scared, grieving & scrambling. A horrible time for our family was made so much easier for us because of rainbow bridge. Picked up our loved one 2 hours after we found him (passed in his sleep with no pain, thank God), was extremely understanding and warm and respectful. 2 days later picked up his ashes in a beautiful urn along with photo, paw print and lock of hair. The most difficult time of my families life was when we lost our 14 yr. old Dachshund "Sir Oliver Twist". I called Rainbow Bridge and explained that our Sir Oliver Twist had passed. Eric said can you come down or would you like me to pick him up. We will bring him down. Eric was the most compassion, comforting, professional person I have ever come across. He is a real pet person. We explained what our needs were for our baby boy. He totally understood what we wanted. A private cremation and we would pick out the Urn. We recently had to euthanize our beloved 13-year-old family Boston Terrier/ Pug mix, Stella, after a bout with cancer. She was here before our children and all of us were very attached to her.We wanted to bury her but it is required to dig a 3 foot hole and where we live is quite rocky. Plus we risked having other animals dig Stella up if it wasn't deep enough. With two small kids, that seemed too difficult and traumatic for us to deal with at this heartbreaking time.- I called to get a quote from this crematory, located in a garage between two auto body shops, and was informed it would be $425 to have her cremated and have the ashes returned to me. The other option would cost $310, but she was cremated with other animals and they emphasized but we would not get cremains for my children to bury under our family tree. I asked if there was any way to make it less expensive as we didn't need all the extra things, like an urn, paw print, etc. We just were just trying to safely bury her at home. Was told by the man who runs it that there was no other option.- My husband called the next day, and inquired again explaining that we didn't need the extras, the man said he'd do it for $375.- After Stella was euthanized (Saturday), we lovingly wrapped up her body with flowers and notes from the children inside the shroud and took her to the facility. Once there, the woman now said it would be $375 with urn, print, etc., that was actually their standard price, not $425 as we were previously quoted.- She then had us take Stella to into the room with the cremator ourselves and instructed us to just leave her on top of the chest freezer.- They said her cremains would be ready in 3-4 days and they would call us. By Thursday afternoon, we still had not heard from them, so we called and they said we could pick her up. We got a certificate that said she had been cremated 5 days earlier.- In the lime green fluorescent bag with her cremains, they left a post card asking me to leave a review, so here it is.

My beloved cat, Bobby, suddenly passed away last Friday. I am heartbroken at his unexpected passing. I called Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory in Yorktown Heights & brought Bobby there at 11:00 pm. As a physician, one of my duties is to guide families through the end of life process. This time it was strange as I was on both sides of the fence but in the end, emotions took over and my wife and I took the death of our pet extremely hard. Liz and Eric are such compassionate and generous people, and they are the most professional I have dealt with. They guided us through the transition families go through after a death that I am normally used to doing, and I can say I could not have done it better myself. They spent a great deal of time listening to our concerns and reassuring us to the point that we felt relief through the grief. That is how you know someone is an expert at what they do. Had my ferret cremated. Used Rainbow Bridge before and was very satisfied. This time, however, I paid the same price for one ferret as I did for 3 ferrets 2 years ago. $312.00 to cremate a little ferret and that is also without a wooden box for the ashes. After researching prices, I found Rainbow Bridge to be the most expensive. Totally my fault, as I should have done my research before hand.

On Jan. 23, 2020 our little 15 year, 10 mo. old Shih-Tzu "Harley" passed away. We had made a decision that we would have him cremated. We researched several crematories and were not completely satisfied. Our biggest concern was that we would be 100% comfortable with the entire process. Then we came across Rainbow Bridge. After reading about Eric and Liz and that they were pet lovers and had two dogs of their own, we called Eric and after speaking with him we made arrangements to have a private cremation. We made an appointment for Jan. 27th at 9:30 am. When we arrived on the 27th Eric was there to greet us at the entrance. As soon as we entered the facility we had a feeling of comfort with the surroundings. There was only Eric and my wife and i. The entire time was devoted to us. We were able to witness the entire process as Eric walked us through every step of the procedure. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. We truly appreciate how caring he was. His compassion was extremely helpful in alleviating a lot of our grief. We left with a beautiful urn and keepsakes. The entire process was everything we hoped for and more.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received at Rainbow Bridge. The price for services was within my budget, so I decided to check it out. The owners are professional and compassionate, and they even make memorial keepsakes for you to bring home too. I really liked seeing my little mouse Zelda's picture with poem. With Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory you don't have to worry about anything else when you are grieving your loss, they take care of everything. Including a photo to show that they have beautiful, mouse-sized urns.

during a difficult time eric truly made this process as seamless as possible. what hit home was when we were due to pick up our family dogs ashes, my brother caught covid my sister was overseas i was away on business and my mother was working two jobs full time. we must have delayed pickup about a month post holidays and eric not once made us feel pressure. they respectfully do not discard ashes despite being legally able to if the remains are not claimed. we appreciate you so much for this and allowing us to keep a part of our pup with us forever. very professional and would highly recommend.

Everything went very well and although the location is a little "industrial", once we got there and went inside, it is exactly the kind of setting that these sad occasions call for. STAY AWAY ! I went today with my cat who passed away last night I arrived at about 1130 with my father. We are both retired Nypd. The door was closed so I called and they answered that we were supposed to be there at 10am , granted my dad is 77 and came a little late as he was upset also about our rockie. A guy pulled up in a van and said to me we were late again and that our Car was parked wrong !! never a hello im sorry for your loss and I'm here to help you. Stay away from rainbow we ended up going to yonkers animal hospital on executive blvd, they were lovely understanding and let me say my last goodbye. RAINBOW you should be ashamed of yourselves.

In 2010 Grace and I returned from Iraq, where together we served as a Combat Tracking Team. I was fortunate to have been able to keep her after our tour. When everybody else said they are closed, The owner of Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory (Eric) did something different. He jumped into his 4X4 pickup and met us at his business during a crazy "white out" snow storm to help us out. It was dangerous, we had to drive very slowly with the hazards on but we were desperate to put our dog Max to rest. Eric was professional, courteous and let us take our time saying goodbye to our beloved Max. They use all their own equipment in-house, provide a full service and also have a showroom of urns and other options. He didn't even charge any extra fees for any of this. Thank you Eric. I really really appreciate you for this Sir.

I had to put my beloved 14 year old Lab down on Wednesday, I called Eric and explained the situation to him that the vet was coming to my house in lake Carmel and with no hesitation he said he would be there. We will forever be grateful for Eric & RBPC. Our precious girl Sassy was battling acute leukemia. The plan was for our vet to come to our home & take care of everything when she was ready. Things did not work out as planned & we were scared, grieving & scrambling. A horrible time for our family was made so much easier for us because of rainbow bridge. Picked up our loved one 2 hours after we found him (passed in his sleep with no pain, thank God), was extremely understanding and warm and respectful. 2 days later picked up his ashes in a beautiful urn along with photo, paw print and lock of hair. An awful time for us, but thank you rainbow bridge for easing our pain and helping us out. Unfortunately this is a fact of life and whoever's going through it, rainbow bridge is there to help. We recently had to euthanize our beloved 13-year-old family Boston Terrier/ Pug mix, Stella, after a bout with cancer. She was here before our children and all of us were very attached to her.We wanted to bury her but it is required to dig a 3 foot hole and where we live is quite rocky. Plus we risked having other animals dig Stella up if it wasn't deep enough. With two small kids, that seemed too difficult and traumatic for us to deal with at this heartbreaking time.- I called to get a quote from this crematory, located in a garage between two auto body shops, and was informed it would be $425 to have her cremated and have the ashes returned to me. The other option would cost $310, but she was cremated with other animals and they emphasized but we would not get cremains for my children to bury under our family tree. I asked if there was any way to make it less expensive as we didn't need all the extra things, like an urn, paw print, etc. We just were just trying to safely bury her at home. Was told by the man who runs it that there was no other option.- My husband called the next day, and inquired again explaining that we didn't need the extras, the man said he'd do it for $375.- After Stella was euthanized (Saturday), we lovingly wrapped up her body with flowers and notes from the children inside the shroud and took her to the facility. Once there, the woman now said it would be $375 with urn, print, etc., that was actually their standard price, not $425 as we were previously quoted.- She then had us take Stella to into the room with the cremator ourselves and instructed us to just leave her on top of the chest freezer.- They said her cremains would be ready in 3-4 days and they would call us. By Thursday afternoon, we still had not heard from them, so we called and they said we could pick her up. We got a certificate that said she had been cremated 5 days earlier.- In the lime green fluorescent bag with her cremains, they left a post card asking me to leave a review, so here it is.

My beloved cat, Bobby, suddenly passed away last Friday. I am heartbroken at his unexpected passing. I called Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory in Yorktown Heights & brought Bobby there at 11:00 pm. They are wonderful & were very compassionate & caring. Their package is very reasonable, far below what I paid at another crematory for the last 13 pets that passed during my lifetime. I appreciate their price as I am now retired & not so easy. I have Bobby's ashes, along with a foto of him with a framed "Rainbow Bridge" poem. As a physician, one of my duties is to guide families through the end of life process. This time it was strange as I was on both sides of the fence but in the end, emotions took over and my wife and I took the death of our pet extremely hard. Liz and Eric are such compassionate and generous people, and they are the most professional I have dealt with. They guided us through the transition families go through after a death that I am normally used to doing, and I can say I could not have done it better myself. They spent a great deal of time listening to our concerns and reassuring us to the point that we felt relief through the grief. That is how you know someone is an expert at what they do. When you can leave an awful situation knowing that the best people for the job are backing you. That is what you get at Rainbow Bridge.

Had my ferret cremated. Used Rainbow Bridge before and was very satisfied. This time, however, I paid the same price for one ferret as I did for 3 ferrets 2 years ago. $312.00 to cremate a little ferret and that is also without a wooden box for the ashes. After researching prices, I found Rainbow Bridge to be the most expensive. Totally my fault, as I should have done my research before hand.

On Jan. 23, 2020 our little 15 year, 10 mo. old Shih-Tzu "Harley" passed away. We had made a decision that we would have him cremated. We researched several crematories and were not completely satisfied. Our biggest concern was that we would be 100% comfortable with the entire process. Then we came across Rainbow Bridge. After reading about Eric and Liz and that they were pet lovers and had two dogs of their own, we called Eric and after speaking with him we made arrangements to have a private cremation. We made an appointment for Jan. 27th at 9:30 am. When we arrived on the 27th Eric was there to greet us at the entrance. As soon as we entered the facility we had a feeling of comfort with the surroundings. There was only Eric and my wife and i. The entire time was devoted to us. We were able to witness the entire process as Eric walked us through every step of the procedure. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. We truly appreciate how caring he was. His compassion was extremely helpful in alleviating a lot of our grief. We left with a beautiful urn and keepsakes. The entire process was everything we hoped for and more.
