We’ve adopted a wonderful puppy from bideawee which lead to my daughter and I volunteering because we wanted to give back. They’re an extremely clean and well run facility. Volunteering is very rewarding and the staff is supportive and thankful for our help. Also the puppy we adopted at 2 months old is now almost 3 yrs old and the love of our lives and couldn’t have asked for a healthier pup!

I have been volunteering at the Westhampton Bideawee Animal Shelter for almost 7 years now. The staff at Bideawee is caring and loving towards the animals residing there. Our volunteer manager Deanna is awesome. It’s a good feeling knowing that I’m helping our animals there by spending time with them and showing them much needed love and affection. My first puppy, Taffy, was from Bideawee in Wantagh, way back in 1964. When I moved to the Westhampton area, I went to Bideawee to check out their volunteer program. Once I walked through the doors, I was hooked and that was 16 years ago. Since then I have seen hundreds of dogs and cats find their forever homes. I began volunteering at the westhampton bideawee in the summer of 2024. I figured i love dogs and can help out. Well, its helped me out. Its a very rewarding experience. The people working there welcomed me and trained me how to handle the dogs safely. As a lifetime dog owner i thought i knew mostly everything about them. But i learned so much on how to handle each dog safely and really enjoy the experience.I’m very impressed with the structure and safety they adhere to. All animals are in pens, not cages. They are kept in a cool environment in the summer and warm in the winter. Cleanliness is very important as well.. please consider adopting from this wonderful organization when you want to add to your family

Adopt from here three times over the last 16 years. The staff is fantastic and the animals are well cared for. Our most recent additions were processed electronically. Their system has us on file, which made adoption easier. I am very pleased at the health and wellbeing of the little ones.. we have followed up with their vet (office close to entrance) & she and her staff also were fantastic.

I recently visited Bideawee Cremation Center to lay my beloved bunny to rest, and I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate and professional experience. From the moment I arrived, staff member Walter showed incredible care and understanding, treating my bunny with the utmost respect and looking at me with genuine empathy. Jane, another staff member, went above and beyond to ensure that my bunny's urn was wrapped beautifully and thoughtfully, with a cute ribbon and her own charming handwriting.Throughout the process, the staff at Bideawee gave me all the time and space I needed to grieve and say goodbye to my furry companion. The actual cremation took only two hours, during which Jane and her dog provided comfort and companionship. Overall, I felt incredibly supported and understood by the Bideawee team, and I can't thank them enough for their sincerity and kindness.If you're looking for a cremation center that truly cares about your pet and your feelings, I highly recommend Bideawee. They made a difficult experience as smooth and peaceful as possible, and I am forever grateful for their support.

This was the best experience I’ve had adopting an animal! From start to finish I was pleasantly surprised with each step. Communication with the shelter was fast, thorough and professional. I was able to set up an appointment quickly and within a few days of submitting my application (could have been even sooner but I needed it a few days later). Deanna was an absolute dream to work with, the picture of professionalism and kindness. Everyone at the shelter is just the nicest! The animals are all looked after exceptionally, and all of them seem very happy, clean and healthy with plenty of space to play and exercise. All medical records were provided and all steps were gone over with me (what to do after I brought home both kitties, how to introduce them to my current pet, what additional vaccines they’ll need and when), I was given samples of the food they currently were eating and how to slowly introduce them to new foods. Just an absolute dream and completely painless adoption process! I couldn’t recommend this place more. The care, patience, kindness and love was so evident. Thank you for everything!

I wish I took the ladies names down but I’m sure everyone at this adoption agency are amazing! We went with the intentions of adopting one dog and unfortunately we weren’t going to be a good fit for her. The ladies introduced us to another dog Molly who we instantly clicked with! We were there for roughly 35-40 minutes bonding with the dog and I appreciate that time too for us and the dog. Highly recommend this adoption agency. The energy is great, you can tell the staff is great and treat their animals even better.

NICEST VETS EVER!!!I had several senior cats but not a lot of money and the vets and staff helped me give my cats the best care despite my financial limitations.When my guys were past care options they were so kind to me and were so very supportive because grief when your pet passes is as real as when other family members die.If they treated humans I'd make them my doctor!I think this is the best place to take your animals ANYWHERE!They deserve 10000 star reviews!

Sadly, I was there to have my most beloved buddy cremated. The people there were so kind, loving and compassionate and treated my dog with the utmost respect. The price they gave me over the phone was the price I paid. Didn't try to sell me an urn or anything else. In fact, they gave me a lovely certificate and a decorative tin with my beloved Chip' s ashes in it. I hope my other dog outlives me, but if not, I would definitely use Bide a Wee again. Absolutely wonderful, kind people.

Bideawee is great, after years of wanting a dog I decided that now was the time. I went to a few shelters trying to find the best match for my household as I already had 2 cats, the staff were very knowledgeable about the dogs temperament with cats. I ended up sitting with Misty, a pit bull puppy and falling in love with her, the adoption process was quick and easy and the employees were very helpful giving tips all along the way and tips for when we brought her home. Misty is now in her forever home loving all of her new toys, treats and love, and the cats will come around! Thank you Bideawee!

These are good vets who really love animals and their owners. I had to put my 15 year old beagle down and the kindness of gentle people was deeply appreciated. It took several visits to decide to end his life and unlike some other places, I did not feel like I was getting fleeced at all. Just practical, sensitive, compassionate, excellent vets. you're in good hands here.

The vets there love the patients and work with you as best they can. My 2 dogs were seen there for surgeries and we'll checks. Eventually after 13 years they were put down at bideawee, but in a peaceful and respectful way. I give them 5 stars to thank them for their service.

Staff and Dr's are great. Have been taking my dog there since I relocated from Florida..Reason for three stars is sticker shock I got for doggie dental cleaning $600. When I found out most other vets charge $200 plus blood work.

Yesterday I adopted a beautiful lab mix named Amber. She has made our house complete again. She is so happy , friendly and playful. The shelter was clean and the personnel were so warm and helpful.I would recommend adopting here if you are in need of a forever friend. I picked up our adopted puppy at Bidawee in Westhampton NY on Sat Oct 30th and she was in the hospital by Wed Nov 3rd. It appears that during the spaying procedure the week before, the dog aspirated and wound up with pneumonia!! She is now doing well and will be released tomorrow, but the cost was extreme. Although all the volunteers and staff at Bidawee were great, the vet they use to perform these surgeries needs to be reexamined.

Bide a wee is wonderful! I live approx. 45 mins from there and I would drive that any day to make sure my pets are in good hands. They treat the problem and don't look to bleed your pocket. Unlike other animal hospitals that talk exorbitant amounts of money. They know you love your pet so they play on your emotion and pocket. Not true animal lovers as far as I'm concerned. Bide a wee will work with you. Also they have a wonderful adoption center, a pet cemetery, training and grooming center, and a dog run as well. Support Bide a wee however you can!

Dr Young and the staff at bidawee are just outstanding. I have been bringing my dogs to them since 2005. They watched my boy Jackson through his very first puppy days untill we sadly had to put him down. The made that experience as comforting as it could be, scheduling the last appointment and having a room set up for us with blankets and as much time as we needed. We all left in tears, staff and all. They also provided me with all the records they had that I kept as a keepsake. I will forever bring my animals to the caring staff at bidawee, and I am forever grateful for their caring, kindness and empathy. Thank you for all you do.

Bideawee Westhampton branch is a stunning sprawling campus for pets and their people. The grounds are maintained beautifully by the grounds staff. The campus houses several buildings for pets and the people who love them. It ok but never has time to pickup the calls for volunteering. My daughters need the hours and want to go her but I sent then a form for almost 2 months and I haven't gotten a call back. I also called them the first time and the guy said that he had to go to a meeting in 2min and he had to call me back but 2 weeks later they didn't call back. I tried calling again but the guy wasn't available again but I'll have to keep trying

We visited bideawee to possibly adopt a kitten, all the staff was very helpful and answered all of me and my dads questions. I found a cat named Gwen then we ended up renaming callie and instantly fell in love they gave us 2 bags of dry food and 6 cans of wet food and 2 toys for free which we ended up leaving a donation for callie loves her new home and bideawee really seems to care for there animals the adoption fee for a kitten was only 150$ which is very cheap compared to other adoption centers... thank you again!

Most of the staff is nice but I came here to adopt a kitten (on a Friday) and they told me I had to bring everyone from my household to visit her before I could adopt (very understandable). My parents both work and they were off that Sunday so I filled out an application (on Friday) and informed them that I would be coming back with my family to adopt her that Sunday. We got there Sunday and I told them I was there to adopt the kitten and they told me they gave her away to another family a few minutes before I got there and they were IN THE MIDDLE of filling out an application to adopt her. They then informed me saying it was “first come first serve” even though my application was in before this family. I think it was extremely wrong of them to have a first come first serve bases for any type of animals. They aren’t toys, you shouldnt just give them away just because someone got there first. If someone is telling you 100% that you are adopting an animal and the only reason you can’t is because the shelter wants your whole family there (which is very hard to do when your parents work almost every day of the week) then you should allow a holding period because now someone else got the kitten that I’ve been wanting to adopt because I couldn’t get my whole family there before them. They were also very rude about it and told me there was nothing I could do. I am extremely upset and will never be visiting this shelter ever again and I will be informing people about how unfair this place is with adoptions (west Hampton location)

Bideawees adoption area is really amazing, even though the dogs are waiting for their forever home, they are in a beautiful spot being cared for by great and caring people, My dog is buried in bideawees cemetery, which is beautiful and a very peaceful spot for beloved pets.

Absolutely horrendous adoption process. They let you fill out an application for a pet you want but won't hold the pet for you so someone can come in and take a pet that you've visited and gotten acquainted with and even filed an application for. Never use this place.

Bide a wee is wonderful! I live approx. 45 mins from there and I would drive that any day to make sure my pets are in good hands. They treat the problem and don't look to bleed your pocket. Unlike other animal hospitals that talk exorbitant amounts of money. They know you love your pet so they play on your emotion and pocket. Not true animal lovers as far as I'm concerned. Bide a wee will work with you. Also they have a wonderful adoption center, a pet cemetery, training and grooming center, and a dog run as well. Support Bide a wee however you can!

Dr Young and the staff at bidawee are just outstanding. I have been bringing my dogs to them since 2005. They watched my boy Jackson through his very first puppy days untill we sadly had to put him down. The made that experience as comforting as it could be, scheduling the last appointment and having a room set up for us with blankets and as much time as we needed. We all left in tears, staff and all. They also provided me with all the records they had that I kept as a keepsake. I will forever bring my animals to the caring staff at bidawee, and I am forever grateful for their caring, kindness and empathy. Thank you for all you do.

Bideawee Westhampton branch is a stunning sprawling campus for pets and their people. The grounds are maintained beautifully by the grounds staff. The campus houses several buildings for pets and the people who love them. When entering the campus you will encounter the Animal Hospital, Pet Memorial Building, Pet Memorial Park, and Adoption Center. If you are looking to adopt, looking for medical care for your pet, looking to volunteer, or to lay your beloved pet to rest. Look no further as they have all your pet needs covered at this massive location.

The staff here is always amazing, they go above and beyond to make sure you have all your options and know exactly the kind of dog or cat you are looking to adopt. And they have a lot of training and knowledge on each individual dog and what they need and the home they need go go to to prevent them from coming back to the shelter life

Have only had wonderful experiences with Bideawee. Over the years we have adopted several cats and have buried several cats at their cemetery in Westhampton. They are warm and compassionate people. Highly recommend them for adoptions or for their cemetery.

It ok but never has time to pickup the calls for volunteering. My daughters need the hours and want to go her but I sent then a form for almost 2 months and I haven't gotten a call back. I also called them the first time and the guy said that he had to go to a meeting in 2min and he had to call me back but 2 weeks later they didn't call back. I tried calling again but the guy wasn't available again but I'll have to keep trying

We visited bideawee to possibly adopt a kitten, all the staff was very helpful and answered all of me and my dads questions. I found a cat named Gwen then we ended up renaming callie and instantly fell in love they gave us 2 bags of dry food and 6 cans of wet food and 2 toys for free which we ended up leaving a donation for callie loves her new home and bideawee really seems to care for there animals the adoption fee for a kitten was only 150$ which is very cheap compared to other adoption centers... thank you again!

Most of the staff is nice but I came here to adopt a kitten (on a Friday) and they told me I had to bring everyone from my household to visit her before I could adopt (very understandable). My parents both work and they were off that Sunday so I filled out an application (on Friday) and informed them that I would be coming back with my family to adopt her that Sunday. We got there Sunday and I told them I was there to adopt the kitten and they told me they gave her away to another family a few minutes before I got there and they were IN THE MIDDLE of filling out an application to adopt her. They then informed me saying it was “first come first serve” even though my application was in before this family. I think it was extremely wrong of them to have a first come first serve bases for any type of animals. They aren’t toys, you shouldnt just give them away just because someone got there first. If someone is telling you 100% that you are adopting an animal and the only reason you can’t is because the shelter wants your whole family there (which is very hard to do when your parents work almost every day of the week) then you should allow a holding period because now someone else got the kitten that I’ve been wanting to adopt because I couldn’t get my whole family there before them. They were also very rude about it and told me there was nothing I could do. I am extremely upset and will never be visiting this shelter ever again and I will be informing people about how unfair this place is with adoptions (west Hampton location)

Bideawees adoption area is really amazing, even though the dogs are waiting for their forever home, they are in a beautiful spot being cared for by great and caring people, My dog is buried in bideawees cemetery, which is beautiful and a very peaceful spot for beloved pets.
