We used Lasting Paws back in January 30th, 2023 for our Annie girl. (15+ yrs old) They were very compassionate and respectful. I didn't do a review back then since my mind was a mess... Wanted to do a review now on the experience we had then. We just left this morning after dropping off our dog of almost 17 yrs Bud. I'll review after we pick him up. But based on our experience with Annie we highly recommend them.

We were beyond devastated when we lost both our fur babies the same day, our Chance was only 4 years old, Dolly was 14 so we had prepared for that but not Chance on the same day and so young. Lasting paws has handled both with kindness and compassion, and we are very grateful to them.

These people are awesome!!We recently lost our beloved Big boy Spanky and the care and compassion that they treated us with as well as how respectful and loving they were when handling our boy was amazing!! This place is ridiculously expensive. The staff is very nice, and accommodated what we were looking for on the engraving, but the website only allowed 20 characters per line, however where they’re ordering from allows up to 40. I’ve personalized all of our fur babies urns with private cremations and never broke $500. For our most recent baby we were charged nearly $1,000. The urn I could order and personalize off of Chewy for $100, however Lasting Paws charged $531 for the same urn! Also nickel and dime you for a simple fur clipping (not in a keychain as depicted by their website, but in a plastic bag for $27) and an ink paw print (ink, not clay, for $32) which have been FREE with every other animal I’ve lost. I understand a business needs to profit, but this is simply insane. I didn’t have a choice in our unexpected loss while we were on travel, however if you do have a choice, please look at their competition to save some money and still have that personal touch.

I got My KAI Baby back in a beautiful wooden box with his paw print pressed in clay, a cremation certificate and a very caring card.Today I took the beautiful wooden box with My baby in it and they kindly transformed some of his ashes to a necklace that I had made.Thank you Lasting Paws10 out of 10

The folks at Lasting Paws were very respectful of our loss. They took the time and efforts to make it less painful. We miss our Emma and think of her daily, but knowing that she was respected to the very end was pleasant.

Thank you for honoring veterans and being willing to fulfill my uncle’s request when he lost both of his pets while hospitalized. Lasting Paws was amazing to work with as I helped my uncle from across the country. They were great to work with during such a stressful time & made everything so easy. They also held on to the ashes until I could fly out to help my uncle. I have lost a lot of pets over the years, and Sharkey and his staff were top notch. They help me with my boy Rufus. He left this world and only 10 years old. It was hard to go through the details and everything but they were very patient told me to take my time. When they came to pick him up they were very gentle with him. And then a week later, he was home.

We’ve never used a pet cremation service and last year our 15yo pup passed. They were incredibly kind here and the turn around to get her ashes back was sooner than promised. They were very compassionate and we appreciated it at a sad time. The box was pretty, we got her paw print and it came out so beautiful. Will always recommend lasting paws !

I'm torn at leaving this review. From the phone call requesting information to the intake and reassurance of their process and confidently explaining that I would get MY pet back- I truly felt like this was the BEST place in town to take my pet of 23 years that passed at home. Miranda really does a great job running the front of this operation. It was on her suggestion that I ordered a paw ink print to use as a tattoo stencil and memorialize my cat. This was such a great idea at a time of grief that I didn't have the bandwidth to think of on my own. They were super efficient and my pets ashes were ready less than a week later. When I opened the package, there wasn't an inkprint accompanying my cat's remains- there had been an error and a fur clipping was done instead. And as quickly as my tears came- she was out of the office sending a manager, I had never met, to deal with me. I was devastated. There is no way to correct this and no amount of customer service or perks that can offset the disappointment I am feeling. I am more frustrated that I was set in the excitement of the idea THEY presented and then failed to execute. I fully understand humans make errors- and this one affected me- In time this will heal. Had this mishap not happened, I would truly give this business 5 stars.

Lasting Paws, Albuquerque - excellent experience, high recommendation.My cherished cat companion, Julep, died two weeks before Christmas, at age 23. It was very difficult to consider "letting her go," yet after calling several pet cremation services, my spirits were lifted speaking with Lasting Paws. The woman who provided cremation details had just the right combination of empathy and humor - I was crying and laughing at the same time. Low key, thoughtful, efficient. My cat's ashes came home in a beautiful deep royal blue velvet, drawstring container.

Picked up my 18 year old cat's ashes and was very happy with how it was presented to me. My cat's ashes were in a lovely little box along with a very nice card with Roswell's name on it identifying him and date of cremation. Along with the card was a stamp of Roswell's paws. Everything was in a beautiful blue bag. Thanks to Sandia Animal Clinic for using Lasting Paws. It made a very difficult decision much easier.

I don't have a large income and was in the middle of a move when our 15 year old Smokie passed away. Short on cash I had to call around for the best price I could find. Not only did they have the best price they were very nice and respectful. They understand that your pets are family and treat them as such. I was skeptical because of the look of the building but I'm glad I found them.

Thank you to Albuquerque Pet Memorial Services for giving our foster a dignified ending. He was 13, neglected, abused and ignored his life. He was received and carried away in a lovingly and dignified way even though he had died several hours before and his little body was not in good shape. These are compassionate and caring people who we will be using for our fosters and our own dogs. Highly recommend.

They were very understanding and sympathetic to my loss of my hedgie. She's a small animal so I didn't expect much consoling but, she meant a lot to me and they treated the situation as such. Reasonable pricing for cremation. Beautiful eco-friendly complimentary urn for small animals. Since she's small, they also got all four of her paw prints on the clay print I ordered. That meant a lot to me. They also included a heart compressed flower seed mixture to plant in her memory. Very thoughtful process.

I have used this company twice now for my beloved horses and they take their time loading such a large animal they are compassionate and helpful and sincere. The price is fair and well worth it. I would recommend this company to anyone who has lost a beloved pet and wants to give them a proper goodbye. I will continue to use this company throughout my life time.

DO NOT have your pet's remains processed with them. Based on my experience they are extremely incompetent and incredibly rude and insensitive about it. So bad that I ended one call in tears. I've lost two cats in the last nine months, brothers, and both times I made special arrangements for their remains. Nothing complicated, but that I wanted my first cat in a cedar box that we would pick up. What happened? They delivered his remains to the WRONG veterinary office in a cheap plastic box. Arrangements were made with the owner, Dave.Then recently, I lost my other cat and my spouse called and again spoke with the owner and made arrangements to bring in the cedar box so that my second cat's remains could be added with the first so they could rest together. Again, this was screwed up. When I called and spoke with Nick, he was incredibly insensitive about it, rude and practically accused me of lying about my first experience. With my heart being so heavy from the recent loss, one would expect that the company who, once again screwed up, would be apologetical in the least. Not this person, he was rude, condescending and abrasive.If you have to make this unfortunate decision about your pet and want to keep their remains, please talk to your vet first to find out who they use. I would NOT EVER use this company again. It was an awful experience that brought me to tears BOTH times. They should be absolutely ashamed of how they treat grieving customers when THEY are the ones who made the error.

I lost my beautiful, sweet and lovable Aussie, Olive, on October 27th. We had just had my brothers funeral three days earlier and losing Olive only added to my family’s devastation. I found Albuquerque Pet Memorial Service online and called them and spoke with Gayle. From the beginning to the end of this very sad experience, Gayle and the whole team at APMS we’re absolutely amazing. They are all so professional, compassionate and understanding. Gayle was so patient with me and answered all my questions. She walked me through the whole process and gave me a lot of options. She was also very sweet when I went today to pick up my baby. She took the time to sit and talk to me for a few minutes. I really appreciated that. Also, the two guys that came to pick up my girl could not have been nicer and treated my Olive with respect. My Olive was not just a pet, but, a beloved member of my family and I am grateful to have had 11 wonderful years with her. I hope I don’t need their services for a very long time, but, when I am in this very sad and emotional situation again, I will be calling APMS.

We had a wonderful experience with Albuquerque Pet Memorial! Our precious rat, Georgia, recently passed and they provided first rate services, very affordable pricing and were so kind and considerate thru the whole cremation process.Had a very nice chat with Deidra and Gail when I picked up her remains, they are very compassionate and helpful! Little Charlie, the bulldog, is a great addition to the staff & being greeted by him and playing with him is so comforting!I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future when our beloved cat's cross over the Rainbow Bridge.

I recently had to take my boy Xander (whom I've had for around 12 yrs) in for a cremation. It was a very hard and emotional day for me and my kids. The employee, Rusty, was so extremely kind and empathetic and it really showed in the way he helped us with everything. I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this a good experience especially with how hard this whole situation was. I definitely recommend this business.

About a year and half ago right before Christmas my mom lost her beloved Yorkie“Baby”. We have had many of our pets cremated however this was our first experience that we are aware of anyway using this business. The veterinarian my mother used had it’s own crematory forever but that was no longer the case. I’m not too sure who recommended her here but I’m glad they did. They were very compassionate towards our loss. I now am about to lose a poodle which I found 19yrs ago which was aprox. 4yrs old at the time, she had been ran over a few times that day when I rescued her and she became my other dogs medical dog she would let me know about 10 min before hand that the other dog was about to have a seizure so we would always be prepared that nothing would be in her way to get injured she suffered with gran mal seizures so knowing in advance made it easier on her as well as myself. 15yrs ago she jumped in front of a car saving my life from been hit and at the time I was going through a separation and diagnosed with an illness it was a bad time. I saw the car run her over with front and back tires and I knew there was no way she would make it all I could do is pick her up off the road and I just cried all signs were there that she was not going to live. I remember telling her thank you for saving me and I’m sorry that she had to die but I can’t lose you now although that was the last thing I wanted with everything I had going on. I cried myself apparently to sleep knowing I’d have to make arrangements for her in the morning. Instead I woke up to her licking my face and still alive but now 15yrs from that incident I’m preparing for her time to depart to RAINBOWS BRIDGE and that is what has brought me to the website today to find the number in preparation for the days to come. I I am relieved that I found it because now I know that my FiFi will be taken care of from what my family considers the best. See you soon.

I was professionally taken care of when we lost our Bull Mastiff named "Bruce". Their staff at Albuquerque Pet Memorial was very professional and treated our family with the utmost respect and did our family member proud! When I came to pick up Bruce, I was on the motorcycle.. I got Bruce and took him on the bike for one last ride.. I recommend these upstanding professionals without hesitation or any second thought!

I went thru a pet hospital for arrangements but they did not mention that a paw print n fur clippings could be included. Reading the website, I called APMS and requested it fearing I was too late... But they delivered! The fur smells just like him! I am so very grateful!One time I saw a coffee can brought into a vet office that were cremains and I thought, how disrespectful. So glad this company has the heart to do things right. They know how much our pets mean to us.

This organization deserves a ten star rating.When I called for an appt. I was greeted by Gailwho was sympathetic and concerned. She assured me that if I brought my pet to them by 2:00 p.m. I could have his ashes that afternoon.Since I was in Gallup, N.M., I rushed his remains to them and was there by 1:50 p.m.I called ahead and when I arrived I was met in the driveway by Dierdre Ewers, the VP, and one of the specialists, they provided a gurney covered with a blanket for my pets transport into their facility. Their sympathy and concern astounded me.After I released my pets remains to them, I was escorted to the office by Diedra where we sat down with Gail. I was told the process would require approx. 2 hrs. for completion.Since I am traveling in an RV, I didn’t need a memorial service. For the duration of the two hrs., Diedra and Gail sat and talked with me and allowed me to mourn. I could clearly see that these two were concerned for my feelings and very sympathetic. They walked me slowly through the business end of the process and did not pressure me or try to influence me for an up sell of their services. I felt it was a very dignified end to my pets life.I highly recommend Albuquerque Pet MemorialServices. Their quality of service and concern for the pet owners are outstanding.I give them a Ten Star Rating.

Gale at the front desk was rude and unpleasant to talk to. She had a rude demeanor and attitude. The guys in the back were very nice.She kept on asking where I was from, thought she was asking where I lived. Said Albuquerque, she said no you’re not, no you’re not. I can tell when someone isn’t from here. Where are you from. Where are you from. Where are you from. I was already pretty upset because I was getting my pet cremated that day and shouldn’t have to deal with people like talking to you like that. Didn’t really want my pet any more decomposed than it was so I just got it done while I was there, otherwise from previous experiences talking to her I would’ve just gone somewhere else.

To Tony Hill, you missed a very caring, wonderful experience, to do this on the basis of one unanswered review from 5 years ago and it is your loss and shame on you for leaving them a mediocre review without using their services first. I don't have a large income and was in the middle of a move when our 15 year old Smokie passed away. Short on cash I had to call around for the best price I could find. Not only did they have the best price they were very nice and respectful. They understand that your pets are family and treat them as such. I was skeptical because of the look of the building but I'm glad I found them.

Thank you to Albuquerque Pet Memorial Services for giving our foster a dignified ending. He was 13, neglected, abused and ignored his life. He was received and carried away in a lovingly and dignified way even though he had died several hours before and his little body was not in good shape. These are compassionate and caring people who we will be using for our fosters and our own dogs. Highly recommend.

They were very understanding and sympathetic to my loss of my hedgie. She's a small animal so I didn't expect much consoling but, she meant a lot to me and they treated the situation as such. Reasonable pricing for cremation. Beautiful eco-friendly complimentary urn for small animals. Since she's small, they also got all four of her paw prints on the clay print I ordered. That meant a lot to me. They also included a heart compressed flower seed mixture to plant in her memory. Very thoughtful process.

I have used this company twice now for my beloved horses and they take their time loading such a large animal they are compassionate and helpful and sincere. The price is fair and well worth it. I would recommend this company to anyone who has lost a beloved pet and wants to give them a proper goodbye. I will continue to use this company throughout my life time.

DO NOT have your pet's remains processed with them. Based on my experience they are extremely incompetent and incredibly rude and insensitive about it. So bad that I ended one call in tears. I've lost two cats in the last nine months, brothers, and both times I made special arrangements for their remains. Nothing complicated, but that I wanted my first cat in a cedar box that we would pick up. What happened? They delivered his remains to the WRONG veterinary office in a cheap plastic box. Arrangements were made with the owner, Dave.Then recently, I lost my other cat and my spouse called and again spoke with the owner and made arrangements to bring in the cedar box so that my second cat's remains could be added with the first so they could rest together. Again, this was screwed up. When I called and spoke with Nick, he was incredibly insensitive about it, rude and practically accused me of lying about my first experience. With my heart being so heavy from the recent loss, one would expect that the company who, once again screwed up, would be apologetical in the least. Not this person, he was rude, condescending and abrasive.If you have to make this unfortunate decision about your pet and want to keep their remains, please talk to your vet first to find out who they use. I would NOT EVER use this company again. It was an awful experience that brought me to tears BOTH times. They should be absolutely ashamed of how they treat grieving customers when THEY are the ones who made the error.

I lost my beautiful, sweet and lovable Aussie, Olive, on October 27th. We had just had my brothers funeral three days earlier and losing Olive only added to my family’s devastation. I found Albuquerque Pet Memorial Service online and called them and spoke with Gayle. From the beginning to the end of this very sad experience, Gayle and the whole team at APMS we’re absolutely amazing. They are all so professional, compassionate and understanding. Gayle was so patient with me and answered all my questions. She walked me through the whole process and gave me a lot of options. She was also very sweet when I went today to pick up my baby. She took the time to sit and talk to me for a few minutes. I really appreciated that. Also, the two guys that came to pick up my girl could not have been nicer and treated my Olive with respect. My Olive was not just a pet, but, a beloved member of my family and I am grateful to have had 11 wonderful years with her. I hope I don’t need their services for a very long time, but, when I am in this very sad and emotional situation again, I will be calling APMS.

Our precious rat, Georgia, recently passed and they provided first rate services, very affordable pricing and were so kind and considerate thru the whole cremation process.Had a very nice chat with Deidra and Gail when I picked up her remains, they are very compassionate and helpful! Little Charlie, the bulldog, is a great addition to the staff & being greeted by him and playing with him is so comforting!I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future when our beloved cat's cross over the Rainbow Bridge.

I recently had to take my boy Xander (whom I've had for around 12 yrs) in for a cremation. It was a very hard and emotional day for me and my kids. The employee, Rusty, was so extremely kind and empathetic and it really showed in the way he helped us with everything. I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this a good experience especially with how hard this whole situation was. I definitely recommend this business.

About a year and half ago right before Christmas my mom lost her beloved Yorkie“Baby”. We have had many of our pets cremated however this was our first experience that we are aware of anyway using this business. The veterinarian my mother used had it’s own crematory forever but that was no longer the case. I’m not too sure who recommended her here but I’m glad they did. They were very compassionate towards our loss. I now am about to lose a poodle which I found 19yrs ago which was aprox. 4yrs old at the time, she had been ran over a few times that day when I rescued her and she became my other dogs medical dog she would let me know about 10 min before hand that the other dog was about to have a seizure so we would always be prepared that nothing would be in her way to get injured she suffered with gran mal seizures so knowing in advance made it easier on her as well as myself. 15yrs ago she jumped in front of a car saving my life from been hit and at the time I was going through a separation and diagnosed with an illness it was a bad time. I saw the car run her over with front and back tires and I knew there was no way she would make it all I could do is pick her up off the road and I just cried all signs were there that she was not going to live. I remember telling her thank you for saving me and I’m sorry that she had to die but I can’t lose you now although that was the last thing I wanted with everything I had going on. I cried myself apparently to sleep knowing I’d have to make arrangements for her in the morning. Instead I woke up to her licking my face and still alive but now 15yrs from that incident I’m preparing for her time to depart to RAINBOWS BRIDGE and that is what has brought me to the website today to find the number in preparation for the days to come. I I am relieved that I found it because now I know that my FiFi will be taken care of from what my family considers the best. See you soon.

Would have been nice to see what APMS had to say, but they seemed to have just ignored the whole situation. Scary red flag! Too bad:(

Considering the circumstances that bring you to this business, they could not be kinder, more professional, or efficient. We've had 4 horse cremated with Lasting Paws (and their previous incarnation) and I cannot say enough good things about them. I was professionally taken care of when we lost our Bull Mastiff named "Bruce". Their staff at Albuquerque Pet Memorial was very professional and treated our family with the utmost respect and did our family member proud! When I came to pick up Bruce, I was on the motorcycle.. I got Bruce and took him on the bike for one last ride.. I recommend these upstanding professionals without hesitation or any second thought!

I went thru a pet hospital for arrangements but they did not mention that a paw print n fur clippings could be included. Reading the website, I called APMS and requested it fearing I was too late... But they delivered! The fur smells just like him! I am so very grateful!One time I saw a coffee can brought into a vet office that were cremains and I thought, how disrespectful. So glad this company has the heart to do things right. They know how much our pets mean to us.

This organization deserves a ten star rating.When I called for an appt. I was greeted by Gailwho was sympathetic and concerned. She assured me that if I brought my pet to them by 2:00 p.m. I could have his ashes that afternoon.Since I was in Gallup, N.M., I rushed his remains to them and was there by 1:50 p.m.I called ahead and when I arrived I was met in the driveway by Dierdre Ewers, the VP, and one of the specialists, they provided a gurney covered with a blanket for my pets transport into their facility. Their sympathy and concern astounded me.After I released my pets remains to them, I was escorted to the office by Diedra where we sat down with Gail. I was told the process would require approx. 2 hrs. for completion.Since I am traveling in an RV, I didn’t need a memorial service. For the duration of the two hrs., Diedra and Gail sat and talked with me and allowed me to mourn. I could clearly see that these two were concerned for my feelings and very sympathetic. They walked me slowly through the business end of the process and did not pressure me or try to influence me for an up sell of their services. I felt it was a very dignified end to my pets life.I highly recommend Albuquerque Pet MemorialServices. Their quality of service and concern for the pet owners are outstanding.I give them a Ten Star Rating.

Gale at the front desk was rude and unpleasant to talk to. She had a rude demeanor and attitude. The guys in the back were very nice.She kept on asking where I was from, thought she was asking where I lived. Said Albuquerque, she said no you’re not, no you’re not. I can tell when someone isn’t from here. Where are you from. Where are you from. Where are you from. I was already pretty upset because I was getting my pet cremated that day and shouldn’t have to deal with people like talking to you like that. Didn’t really want my pet any more decomposed than it was so I just got it done while I was there, otherwise from previous experiences talking to her I would’ve just gone somewhere else.

Had to put my little boy down of 13 years I didn’t know what I was going to get back because the vet sent him here I was so happy to see the lovely box he was put in and a clay print of his paw I love it a great way to remember my boy
