Most of all I would like to thank Aubrey for being the most compassionate person towards the loss of my fur baby. She was patient, understanding, a great listener and beyond kind. We had to make the toughest decision of our lives and put down our 14 year old dog that we've had since 4 weeks old. Our vet partners with Best Friends. Price was fair for this beautiful urn, private cremation, and her little paw print. The house felt so empty without her and now she's home with this beautiful display. I could not recommend a company more for helping navigate a delicate situation. My mom’s beloved dog passed away while she was out of the country. I was left to handle the situation without truly knowing my mother’s wishes.I completed all the steps online and received a phone call within 5 minutes. The person on the phone (didn’t get their name) confirmed to ensure the items I ordered were correct. They offered to come pick her up (I declined and wanted to take her myself). When we arrived at the location, we were met with the most caring and empathetic staff I could have imagined. They sat down with us and went over everything again and asked if we wanted to do a viewing. Then, they allowed us to write a letter to the pet that would be included in the cremation. Aniko, the manager, offered to format a picture that would fit into the sand paw print and asked me to email it to her. They allowed us as much time as we needed to process. Then, we drove around to the back and they were able to take the dog inside. They were so caring with the way they handled the body, and again, empathetic to the situation. We had her wrapped in blankets and they asked if we wanted them to wash and return the blankets. They told us it was going to be a week.I got an email 6 days later that everything was complete. I wasn’t expecting everything to be done so fast. I arrived to pick up and was met with the same caring staff member from the week before. She was very kind and offered to show me everything before I left. She just informed me we were waiting on the final urn to arrive since I ordered one of the custom ones. They put the ashes in a beautiful wooden box in the mean time and said they would email me when the urn arrived.We went through a vet once for cremation, and I highly recommend going straight to this business if you can. They are absolutely amazing!

This was the most amazing, compassionate company to work with. They truly made us feel like our dog was a human. They greeted us upon arrival with a cart decorated in flowers and a nice blanket to set our pet on to wheel her inside the crematorium. When our pet was ready to be picked up, I was taken to a very comfortable room and given the remains and items I purchased in the most gentle manner. I am so glad we took our Kushy Girl here because despite the circumstances, I know she was well taken care of and loved by them.

I've used this service 4 times over the last 15 years or less. They do such a great job. I am impressed with the compassion they have to make sure all animals and owner are acknowledged during the grieving. Thank you Aniko and staff for your condolences for my Cheyenne. Unfortunately we are moving out of state in a few months. Or i would use them for my senior Littles. Rest in peace Cheyenne ♡Edit 01/19/2023 05:34pmI picked up Cheyenne's ashes and Diane was so nice and helped me so much. I got home, checked the paper work. Although I am happy with the urn box, I am surprised at the bill. I was charged 15 dollars for NOT getting fur clippings. And also charged 45 dollars for NOT getting paw prints. I will be calling tomorrow and getting a reimbursement. 65 dollars is crazy. Please check your paper work.

I was happy with the service that was provided initially, then found out that even though we paid the vet for the full cremation service we did not receive the complete package. I contacted the company on their "contact us" page and never had a response. If they had attempted to contact me or even responded, this may have been a better review. Money isn't the issue, the memory of our beloved companion is.UPDATE: I was contacted by Aniko, the manager, who was very helpful and explained the situation. I found out that the veterinary hospital charged for the services and that Best Friends did not do the paw print or was not asked to provide a fur clipping either even though we paid the same price that Best Friends would have charged for both. Be aware if you go through your vet to make sure that you get what you are paying for. Best Friends did a great job with the information they were given. I can't say the same for the vet right now.

my dog and best friend passed away last night under my hands. I woke up not knowing how or where I could get her to burial. This service is the best, so compassionate and kind. They assisted me to find a mobile vet to come for her body and take here there. The Vet was an amazing, kind, professional who treated my best friend with gentleness, kindness, and so much respect. I am so sorry if you see this, it means you have a broken heart as well.

Our time with Best Friends was beyond amazing. Every person we encountered from the very beginning to the very end was extremely friendly and remorseful towards my husband and I. Starting from the very beginning, our cat Shere-Khan died on a Sunday. We were devastated. We began calling everywhere noticing every place was closed on the weekends but a kind lady (whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch) from Best Friends called us back. It felt like a miracle because Best Friends was our top choice. From the very beginning of that phone call she was very kind and supportive of us. Understanding it was hard for us to speak through the tears being our cat just died that morning. She set up an appointment the next day on Monday right when they opened and then she walked us through how to preserve him properly until our appointment the next day.The next day at our appointment everyone we encountered with was very friendly and offered their condolences to us. The woman that handled our affairs with the cremation her name was Chloe Edeal. She was amazing to work with. She was very kind and remorseful and also very patient again understanding with us as it was hard for us to speak through the tears. She gave us a some paper and some envelopes to write letters to our cat to be put in the cremation furnace. Chloe was especially patient when the option for a viewing came up because I was indecisive about it. I hadn’t seen Shere-Khan dead even at our house I chose not to look at him but we ended up going with the viewing option which we are glad we did.Which brings me to the viewing. The viewing was absolutely beautiful. They set our baby boy up in a cute basket with a blanket. He looked like he was sleeping. Chloe again was there to bring us to the room he was in. Again she was absolutely kind and remorseful. Best Friends helped us say our last goodbye in such a beautiful way. For anyone who comes we highly recommend you choose the viewing option. Best Friends does an amazing job at making your loved one look at peace.We finally got Shere-Khan’s remains back along with everything else we chose to get like his fur clipping and his paw print. They even gave us a card with a poem on it about the rainbow bridge. We also received a letter again offering their condolences. Overall, my husband and I are beyond glad we chose Best Friends for our pet cremation, especially working with Chloe.Losing Shere-Khan has been one of the hardest things I’ve gone through. To this day it’s still really hard. He was always by side, he always followed me everywhere. He was the perfect cat and losing him at his age of 5 years old was devastating. Best Friends Pet Cremation and all who helped us with it has been a great blessing. The compassion and concern for the loss of our beloved dog began with Antonio who waited after hours to getour boy to Best Friends. To Anika whose attention to making sure we were comfortable with our choices, and to Sophia whose comforting words understood what we were going through. I know people are trained to be empathetic because it's a "business," but they gave me hope in humanity. I was impressed with the details in the steps taken in the cremation process. Thorough and reassuring. I can not say enough good things about my experiences with Best Friends Pet Cremation. They have handled the cremations of two of our beloved feline family members. The first time was in October 2018 after our amazing Murray died of cancer. We were so touched to have Murray delivered back to us personally by an employee who lived in our area.Most recently, we used their services again after our beloved Marty crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 17. This time we went in to their facility at Sunset Memorial Park. The young man who greeted us and helped us through the process of picking an urn (which was a beautiful rose wood box with a carved top), was so warm and so caring and so patient as my wife and I sobbed through the entire process.If you are looking for a local business to handle this very emotional process, I can only say that you should use Best Friends, as opposed to one of the other local pet cremation facilities in town. Those people handled the cremation of one of our cats back in early 2020. We used that service because it's the one our vet used. We regretted every moment of that decision and were very sorry we didn't use Best Friends.Thank you again to everybody at BF. Y'all are great.

We went today to have our sweetheart cremated. She was sick and went so unexpectedly fast. We are in shock and just heartbroken. This is our first time cremating a pet, and Best Friends was absolutely wonderful. Antonio was so gentle and kind hearted with us. He helped us feel comfortable in making decisions we weren’t prepared to. It was also very affordable, especially since it was so sudden. I will always return when needed for all my pets service needs. I will always recommend Antonio and Best Friends to all my family and friends. I lost my Addy girl tragically two weeks ago and used the cremation services at Best Friends. They were amazing, everyone we came in contact with was patient, empathetic, and caring. I can't say enough good things about Best Friends. Alexis is a wonderful person, who calmly and kindly took care of me on the phone after my 9 year old border collie suddenly passed away at home. I'm afraid I didn't get the names of the ladies that came to my house to pick up my little guy, but they were wonderful too, so caring and careful with him. I really appreciated the way they wrapped him up in a beautiful blanket and let my family have a moment to say goodbye--it made the experience so much easier. I recently lost my beloved soul mate fur baby Casey. I made inquiries about arrangements before he passed, but hadn't made a final decision. He.died quicker than expected. Best Friends exceed all expectations at a very difficult time. My representative was Alex and she was comforting and professional. She helped us through the process with all the dignity and compassion of a human family member. The company has a full range of services to meet every budget. We have a surviving fur baby and will use their pre-care plan.

This will have been my third time using this service, and I could not have been more happy. They are kind, considerate, and timely in getting my furry child back to me. I adopt large, unwanted dogs, senior dogs, so when it is time for them to leave, knowing what to do with them afterwards is a very hard decision to make. Caring and compassionate staff. Website is easy to use and coordinate arrangements online without the sales pressure typically experienced in a funeral home setting. Bailey and her team kept in contact after arrangements were made and communicated every step of the process. Updates were provided. They do not honor veterans nor were they willing to work with me to assist my uncle, who lost both of his pets while hospitalized. They were recommended by the city, but I found them to be incredibly unempathetic to my uncle’s situation. He and his pets deserved better.

I lost my Addy girl tragically two weeks ago and used the cremation services at Best Friends. They were amazing, everyone we came in contact with was patient, empathetic, and caring. Safiyah handled our intake, she was wonderful and understanding, going above and beyond. I am so grateful for the the compassion, dignity, and care Best Friends offered to me and my Addy girl. I was able to pick up her remains earlier than expected. Thank you again

Wish they were open on the weekends, my pup passed away in his sleep on a Saturday night. I called his vet and they took care of him until Best Friends could pick him up.

UPDATE: Best Friends responded to my original post below and asked me to reach out to them, which I did. After some minor confusion on all sides (the Vet, Best Friends and me), everything got sorted out and all was made well. Layla was incredibly helpful and understanding. Because of her, I have reevaluated my review and will now give them a 5 star rating. Thank you Layla and Best Friends.I am disappointed in the Best Friends. My granddog was cremated there and I order what I thought was a ceramic urn with paws on it for his ashes. My daughter picked it up today and it's actually basically a cardboard box! I chose it from the picture shown at VCA - and something should say it's not ceramic. Disappointment on top of our sorrow.

Let me start by saying, I wish there was a 6-star option…We unexpectedly lost our gal, Arwen, last week. I did my research and found Best Friends and I can’t stress enough how absolutely wonderful this team is. The care, kindness, and detail when handling this delicate process is really unmatched. Very disappointed in Best Friends....we have used them several times (7 times) Asked them to wait shortly after 5, their closing time so I could make it across town during rush hour traffic with our foster. Couldn't do that....so much for the compassion of losing your pets. Other choices in town. And I have always highly recommend them...Edited update...we foster older and hospice dogs for the local shelter. This was our reason for using Best Friends so many times. This foster was 13 and didn't have a good life. He had been neglected, abused and ignored. Instead of being carried in in a dignified manner, he had to be delivered in a plastic bag because so many hours had passed since his passing. He deserved better . I had only asked for 15 minutes....I think he deserved that....

My wife's cat was 23 when she passed. She was my wife's best friend for 1/2 of her life. It was so hard to see her go. When these things happen you really don't have the mindset to worry about services.Best Friends did a wonderful job and were super respectful. I can't say enough good things.

I dreaded the day I would need these type of services, and then that day came. I attempted to contact several mobile vet services, with little success. Some got back to me, and the ones that did were booked several days out. I made the phone call to Best Friends Pet Cremations, because I knew my dog Rosco wouldn't make it through the night. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful. She listened to my situation and gave me the number to a veterinarian that could possibly assist me. She also informed me that if the passing was to occur after hours, I could take him to the VCA clinic and they would hold him there until BFPC could pick him up. I was able to get in contact with the vet suggested, and she was wonderful. The Veterinarian was able to come to my home and provide peace to my Viejo. I was able to make it about 20 minutes before closing, and was met with kindness. I was walked through the process, shown my options, and had any questions I had answered. I not once felt rushed, even though it was close to closing. I received the cremation remains and memorial content in a timely manner. Everything was packaged very nicely for pick up. I would recommend their services to anyone, and will be using them again... Hopefully not anytime soon though

The staff at Best Friends Pet Cremation Services have excellent customer service and are full of compassion. Lisa was so comforting. I’m so glad VCA Ventana Animal Hospital recommended and works with this pet cremation company. I opted for the private witness service. I will never forget the breathtaking presentation of my baby Caponey. Thank you for the beautiful witness service that allowed me to honor my beloved Caponey in the most precious way. My family and I appreciate the attention to detail. A few years ago, I used another pet cremation company for a private witness service, but unfortunately the service, presentation, and experience pale in comparison to this company. I wish I would have known about Best Friends Cremation Services back then. I highly recommend this company and their private witness service!!!

I can't say enough good things about Best Friends. Alexis is a wonderful person, who calmly and kindly took care of me on the phone after my 9 year old border collie suddenly passed away at home. I'm afraid I didn't get the names of the ladies that came to my house to pick up my little guy, but they were wonderful too, so caring and careful with him. I really appreciated the way they wrapped him up in a beautiful blanket and let my family have a moment to say goodbye--it made the experience so much easier. I will be recommending this wonderful service to everyone I know with pets.

Nothing prepares you, not even when your beloved pet is sick. I was simply lost. I called Best Friends and took my sweet dog there. They were kind and professional. I cannot tell you how they helped me. If the time comes and your precious companion has to leave you this is a wise decision to use their services. I recently lost my beloved soul mate fur baby Casey. I made inquiries about arrangements before he passed, but hadn't made a final decision. He.died quicker than expected. Best Friends exceed all expectations at a very difficult time. My representative was Alex and she was comforting and professional. She helped us through the process with all the dignity and compassion of a human family member. The company has a full range of services to meet every budget. We have a surviving fur baby and will use their pre-care plan.

This will have been my third time using this service, and I could not have been more happy. They are kind, considerate, and timely in getting my furry child back to me. I adopt large, unwanted dogs, senior dogs, so when it is time for them to leave, knowing what to do with them afterwards is a very hard decision to make. So I highly recommend the services of Lap of Love, in conjunction with Best Friends. It makes the process of losing a pet so much better. We lost our Lainie 2 weeks ago after having her for 13 years. Between our vet and Best Friends everything went perfect. They made this stressful time manageable. When I picked up Lainie ashes I was impressed with the amount of attention to detail that Best Friends provided. The fur patch was extra special and very well done. Caring and compassionate staff. Website is easy to use and coordinate arrangements online without the sales pressure typically experienced in a funeral home setting. Bailey and her team kept in contact after arrangements were made and communicated every step of the process. Updates were provided. Very satisfied with prices, the care they showed my pet, and the way they treated me throughout. Definitely recommend their services.

They do not honor veterans nor were they willing to work with me to assist my uncle, who lost both of his pets while hospitalized. They were recommended by the city, but I found them to be incredibly unempathetic to my uncle’s situation. He and his pets deserved better.

I cannot say more nice things about Best Friends and their representative, Larry. When I first contacted Larry, I was a total crying mess over my baby passing. He was so sweet, patient and kind to me and assured me everything will be taken care of. He kept his promise. I hope not to have to use them for a very long time but when the time comes, I will be contacting the wonderful people at Best Friends.

We have used Best Friends three time now and can't say enough good things about them. We just had our little Loki cremated and did the Witnessing Cremation. I highly recommend it, they did an awesome job with our little boy. Can't thank them enough.

Melissa, Alicia and their young gentleman staff member were wonderful in helping me process scattering ashes of my many feline family members. Attention was paid to paver engraving, scattering selection, and paver location. I was amazed by the compassion, understanding, and attention to detail. Was not a good experience. My cat Sami was to be cremated for a private cremation with wooden box. However, because they didn't read the changes in the paperwork made by the Vet and myself , Sami's ashes were put in mass burial and won't come home with me. I'm saddened by this mistake , although, they apologized and offered to make me an ornament it's just not the same.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They lost my dogs collar and when we called to figure it out, they were very unresponsive. They still have not found the collar and were not very sympathetic to how frustrating and sad that was. I would recommend them to no one.

terrible in my opinion a one pound pet shouldnt cost the same amount as a 150 pound dog or other pet. 100 dollars for them to cremate your pet but toss them with all the other pets they cremated over the years. or pay 85 more dollars for them not to take your pets away never to be seen again. i just dont understand why cremation for a one pound rat cost the same as a 150 pound pet
