The entire staff at Waite in Morganville was very responsive from our first phone call, to all e-mails, and to our final goodbyes to our Mom. My family and I recently lost my father suddenly and in such a painful time the staff here was exceptionally professional and caring. They went out of their way for us especially in the appearance of my father. The best compliment I can give is that he looked like himself. They were sensitive to the fact that his 3 grandchildren were there and were just wonderful. When I came into the room for the first time and saw him I was at peace and then I looked over and they had supplied us with his picture in a frame with his birthdate and the date of his passing for us to keep, it was so beautiful and unexpected, I ordered some for our family, it hangs in my living room today. It was just one of the special touches. They packed up our pictures and mementos for us and just made a difficult and sad situation just a little better because they thought of everything. I would highly recommend this establishment for its staff and how much comfort they were to us. They were organized for the very large procession we had and just did everything you would expect and hope for from a funeral home. I am forever grateful for the care they showed my father and our family.

We had pre planned our Moms funeral and one of the thoughts was that it would be a closed cask. When we arrived to see Mom, she looked wonderful. They did a special job with her hair and makeup and made Mom look so very natural.Everyone was very helpful and caring. Superlative service from the moment I first visited Old Bridge Funeral Home in the summer of 2020 to complete a pre-planning for my parent's funerals. The funeral director, Michael Grandi, made the process (something I really did not want to do but was forced to do in order to obtain Medicaid approval for my mom) incredibly seamless and easy on my part, basically handling most of the leg work for me and providing a reasonable, affordable solution for my parents. At the time, I thought both parents had a number of good years ahead of them, though they were in long-term care. However, sadly, my Dad succumbed to another bout with cancer on 4/11/21. In the days after, I realized how important it is to work with a reputable funeral home that you can trust. Michael and his team managed to make a very trying time in my family's lives so much easier to negotiate and get through. There were specific demands placed on the funeral home by the church, due to COVID restrictions, and Michael handled it all graciously. I made several changes to the pre-plan that actually ended up providing a refund of the original costs, making my father's home going that much more reasonable. The mortician was an artiste! My father was pale and gaunt after not having eaten solid food for almost 3 weeks. As we lay him to rest, he looked every bit as healthy as he did in 2013, before the cervical spinal injury that initially placed him in long-term care. The funeral home did a fantastic job all the way around. I got raves about the casket, which was incredibly affordable, as well as the flowers and simply the grace and dignity by which Michael and his team go about their business. We are an African-American family, and typically, African-Americans use two or three of the funeral home business owned in our community. I decided to go with where I felt the most comfortable and I feel the service and respect I received was better than I could have ever hoped or expected. Without question, I give Waitt Funeral Home & Cremation Service my very highest recommendation!

This was our second funeral held here 9 years apart for both my beloved parents. Preliminary work by Sharron and staff was awesome. Day of funeral Urn was not color we chosen and was blessed by Father's Tom so wrong color it will be for eternity. Microphone did not work either funeral 9 years apart. Webcast at second funeral was really important to family and dear friends who could not attend. I was notified before start of service the half hour of visitation was just a black screen. Funeral director Morgan was clueless. Got tech support who supposedly fixed it which was awful barely legible or audible. This needs to be addressed.I sent Manager a detailed email and received no reply.

Not many people can say that the local funeralhome has been part of the family forever, but Waitt’s has. Through the original owner and to now Michael, they have been part of our family. This past weekend we had a wake for both of my parents at the same time. Heartbreaking, yes but romantic as well. Michael and his staff knew my parents for the past twenty years and were part of our service, part of our family. You don’t get that from just any funeral home but you will get that from Waitt’s in Morganville and also in Old Bridge. Again, first hand experience for both. If you are looking for someone knowledgeable to walk with you through a difficult life event with respect and compassion, these guys are it.

The parking lot seems to be beyond repair, there are huge potholes throughout the lot. Very unsafe to walk or even navigate your car. The parking lot lines are barely noticeable. Also, there are cemetery monuments that just seem to be thrown in the back corner of the parking lot is very worrisome.

The funeral director, Michael Grandi, made the process (something I really did not want to do but was forced to do in order to obtain Medicaid approval for my mom) incredibly seamless and easy on my part, basically handling most of the leg work for me and providing a reasonable, affordable solution for my parents. At the time, I thought both parents had a number of good years ahead of them, though they were in long-term care. However, sadly, my Dad succumbed to another bout with cancer on 4/11/21. In the days after, I realized how important it is to work with a reputable funeral home that you can trust. Michael and his team managed to make a very trying time in my family's lives so much easier to negotiate and get through. There were specific demands placed on the funeral home by the church, due to COVID restrictions, and Michael handled it all graciously. I made several changes to the pre-plan that actually ended up providing a refund of the original costs, making my father's home going that much more reasonable. The mortician was an artiste! My father was pale and gaunt after not having eaten solid food for almost 3 weeks. As we lay him to rest, he looked every bit as healthy as he did in 2013, before the cervical spinal injury that initially placed him in long-term care. The funeral home did a fantastic job all the way around. I got raves about the casket, which was incredibly affordable, as well as the flowers and simply the grace and dignity by which Michael and his team go about their business. We are an African-American family, and typically, African-Americans use two or three of the funeral home business owned in our community. I decided to go with where I felt the most comfortable and I feel the service and respect I received was better than I could have ever hoped or expected. Without question, I give Waitt Funeral Home & Cremation Service my very highest recommendation!

This was our second funeral held here 9 years apart for both my beloved parents. Preliminary work by Sharron and staff was awesome. Day of funeral Urn was not color we chosen and was blessed by Father's Tom so wrong color it will be for eternity. Microphone did not work either funeral 9 years apart. Webcast at second funeral was really important to family and dear friends who could not attend. I was notified before start of service the half hour of visitation was just a black screen. Funeral director Morgan was clueless. Got tech support who supposedly fixed it which was awful barely legible or audible. This needs to be addressed.I sent Manager a detailed email and received no reply.

Not many people can say that the local funeralhome has been part of the family forever, but Waitt’s has. Through the original owner and to now Michael, they have been part of our family. This past weekend we had a wake for both of my parents at the same time. Heartbreaking, yes but romantic as well. Michael and his staff knew my parents for the past twenty years and were part of our service, part of our family. You don’t get that from just any funeral home but you will get that from Waitt’s in Morganville and also in Old Bridge. Again, first hand experience for both. If you are looking for someone knowledgeable to walk with you through a difficult life event with respect and compassion, these guys are it.

I can’t thank Jeff and Sharron for all their help, kindness and compassion during the most difficult time of my life. They helped make a very difficult situation more bearable. They explained everything to us and melts us up dated. And we’re always just a phone call away when I had a question. We had one minor issue but they were quick to correct it and make it right. Thank you again for making my dads wake beautiful and just how he would have wanted it.

The parking lot seems to be beyond repair, there are huge potholes throughout the lot. Very unsafe to walk or even navigate your car. The parking lot lines are barely noticeable. Also, there are cemetery monuments that just seem to be thrown in the back corner of the parking lot is very worrisome.

Make sure you know you are dealing with Waitt Funeral Home. I had a terrible experience there with a guy named Rich Sorice. It was the worst time of my life. Make sure your'e dealing with David. I don't know if I can even deal with them after what I went through.
