October 25th, still no answer. But interesting enough I encounter 2 ladies cleaning their dog’s graves and spoke to them. It seems that they have the same problem and were being charged monthly for perpetual care, reached out and nothing was done. They decided to stop paying. Let me point out that their dogs passed before ours and it seems that Rhoda decided to charge the full fee for perpetual care. We paid for both dogs in full. We have decided that we will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau for not honoring her contract.September 15th, no answer to one my many texts.Hi Rhoda, hopefully all is well by you. My husband and I have been calling you, writing to you and no response whatsoever. You did an incredible job when our babies passed. We purchased perpetual care for both graves and we have not received the service we paid for. The above pictures provide you with what we encounter each time we visit. We would appreciate a response, so we understand what we paid for. Thanking you in advance for your prompt attention.Rhoda was very responsive when we went to look at the cemetery. When our pets passed she picked on up at Oradell Hospital and the other pet we drove to the cemetery, even though she offered to pick him up. The price for each grave was reasonable. We were asked if we would like Perpetual Care for the graves for an extra amount. We thought it was a great idea, so we paid extra. One of our pets is gone for a 3 years and the other one for a year. We visit the grave site and there is absolutely no perpetual care… We are cleaning, clearing all growth from our pets graves. We have texted, phoned and emailed Rhoda and HAS NOT returned any of our phone calls etc. Save yourselves money, do not pay extra for perpetual care because you are throwing your money away.7/21/24No response to calls, texts etc! Once again we took care of graves! We ❤️ our pets and we couldn’t leave graves with weeds etc. out of respect for our loved ones, family we once again took care of their grave.

I usually don't post my opinions but since there is a limited amount of pet cremation places in Bergen county i will give you how i look at this place.Since 2012 i have used this place 3 times for my cat's cremations and never had one complaint. The price was 50% lower then near by pet cremation and this place offered more by picking up cat at my home and giving a framed pet paw print of my cat which was included.(That wasn't done in the past but so be it) The place is on Stag Hill Road which has a long history being an Indian Reservation and the Snow Mnt. property is on a quiet maybe scary for some mountain top. I look at it this way if the owners are descendant of this Indian tribe if my memory is correct the Indian culture has a respect for ALL dead and not just a commercial enterprise only.Long review but i hope it helps pet owners during there tough emotional time

If i could give this place 10 stars, I would. Upon contacting Snow Mountain, Rhoda picked up my beloved dog in Bergen county. She was compassionate and patient as we were all distraught. She allowed us to take our time to decide on burial or cremation. This place is up on the Ramapo Mountains with a spiritual, Zen-like feel. Our dog's remains were placed in a beautifully carved, wooden box with a framed paw print and hair in a heart shape Lockette. Rhoda, thank you.RIP beloved LADDIE❤

Rhoda has been excellent to us. Our dog died a few years ago she came to our home and picked her up. She was a big dog. Recently our cat Sookie died and she made the process very easy for us. She is the most affordable around and she makes you feel like family and she actually cares about your animal. We will always use her when the unfortunate happens. Thank you again - AJ & Sarah.

My sweet sweet sweet soul of a pup Ginger (affectionately called Ginni) passed away after 14 wonderful years with us. I knew that I wanted to give her a burial and searched around online. I decided on Snow Mountain and am SO glad that I did. Everything was positive from my first communication with Rhoda through the entire process. Rhoda was timely in her responses when I had questions and was very empathetic to me during this difficult time. They picked my Ginni up from the vet in Bayonne, NJ and held her for a week until I had her service.I had about a 30 minute service for Ginni with a few of my friends. Rhoda presented Ginni beautifully and fulfilled all my requests as far as what to bury her in and how I wanted to see her. I played a song selection, read a beautiful prayer, and ended with a 2nd song selection. We then closed the casket and buried her with each of us pouring a shovel of dirt and I read a closing prayer. I received an ink paw print and a lock of her hair in a heart. The property itself is up in the mountains or as Rhoda says, "a little closer to heaven," and I really enjoyed the ride up. I feel that it is a good place for my dog to rest. The services provided were compassionate and affordable and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone that has the unfortunate experience of losing a beloved pet.

I lost my best friend Harley on April 2,2024. She was one of the best dogs I ever had! I called Rhoda from Snow Mountain Pet Park & Crematory.Rhoda came and picked Harley up because I couldn’t do it alone! I told her I wanted to have Harley cremated. Rhoda is such warm hearted, caring lovable person! She told me I was going to get a clip of Harley’s hair and a paw print in a frame along with her ashes. I also got a beautiful letter about Rainbow Bridge! I am so glad i chose this company to care for my best friend! Rhoda I can’t thank you enough! ❤️❤️

After careful thought and planning we decided on having Snow Mountain Pet Memorial Cemetary handle our beloved Tigger when she passed in 2005.Let me say that the level of care and compassion that Rhoda and her team gave us was so compassionate and so comforting that we were so happy to have chosen them to bear our burden with us..Fast forward 16 years later, I drove up to see Tigger, and was AMAZED at how beautiful they’ve maintained the grounds and her gravesite..her plaque was still clean and clearly visible as the day it was laid.I’m happy to say that I will be donating a check to them to help a bit with the upkeep.. especially during these trying times,..they surely deserve it.Thank you Rhoda,.. and God Bless You!!You truly are an ANGEL!!

I really don't know from where to start!!!I am so blessed about Rhoda and her pet cemetary memorial park she has created over the years. I am talking about an owner who feels your pain, stands by your side at the burial time and makes you feel she is part of your family (very important to the family that lost their fur baby). Treats you all the way of the process with kindness, respect, support, smiles, patience and gives you the best service. She has a heart full of gold. Very special person! She makes sure you are happy. The place is also very peaceful and well maintained! So blessed!!! She is very reasonable with the price too.I lost my baby boy Ares almost 5 months ago, we buried him. I come every weekend to see him and Rhoda always welcomes me with a huge smile full of kindness. When you choose the place for your fur baby you need to make sure your baby is happy and so are you! I have recommended this place Snow Mountain Cemetary to my friends, because I am extremely pleased with everything. A lot of people don't even know there is a choice for burial and cremation, she does both!!!Thank you Rhoda for everything you do for my family and our baby boy!!!God Bless you!Effie

Our precious dog Snickers passed on Monday and Rhoda at Snow Mountain was wonderful to us and she made us feel that our little guy was moving on to be free of pain and continuing on his journey . She made a paw print and gave us a lock of his hair in a little heart. We went to meet her before he went to the vet because we only wanted the best place for such a sweet, loving little friend . He was 16.5 years old and he deserved to be treated special. Rhoda treated him special.. I thank her❤️

This is never an easy time or a time most people are even thinking of posting a review..but I would like to pass on the wonderful experience I had with this place and Rhoda the owner. She is an amazing person. I had both of my dogs remains done here. She is one of the most compassionate people I have ever crossed paths with. Thank you for your humanity and kindness in such a terrible time when that day comes when our favorite companion has to cross the "Rainbow Bridge" =(R.I.PRoxxy & Baci

I recently lost my cat/dog, Fred, after 17 years. I call him a cat/dog because he was more like a dog. He followed me around, came when I called him, and was very well behaved. I truly lost a part of my heart when he passed. I want to say that Snow Mountain, and in particular Rhoda, was so understanding, kind and accommodating. She did everything humanly possible to make such a sad time bearable. I don't often take the time to write reviews but this place deserves 5+ stars!

I buried my beautiful dog in 6/2003 including my sick twin sister dog in 2001 which was 2 months before her wedding. They were wonderful during a difficult time. It's difficult to get up there often. I went 1/17/23 for my dogs Birthday & I left flowers with decorated vase for both dog. I had a plaque out there years ago. I went back a few weeks ago & they were burying another pet & all the mud was put in my 2 dogs grave. They broke the plaque. Only one flowers & vase was there broken thrown to someone elses grave. I found the one flowers in the garbage bag. I see everyone else's stuff left but mine is always thrown out. This is not right. I told Roda this is not right. Wish I never buried them there. There was no compassion. I would not recommend anyone to bury their pet there. Roda told me not to put sentimental stuff there. I mean does she think we put garbage stuff there. That's my family member. So disgusted & disappointed. I've been so depressed. My sister is too sick so has never gone back to the grave so I take care of everything. She was good to us burial time but when I complained I saw true colors. I even showed picture of what I left there. The groundskeepers are cruel. Why do they always throw my stuff??? It cost money to buy stuff. I go two times a year birthday & death day. Please be careful. Maybe they'll be good to you. Sad thing a cemetery did the same thing to my dad. Throw out dad's windchime while others still there. Saw true colors of unfairness and discrimination. 😡😭

Laid my beloved dog 'khi', practically my first son, to rest here. Working with Rhoda through the process was seamless, everything was beautifully arranged and it couldn't be any nicer. We are very thankful and gave us peace that he has gone to a place which is well look after and cared for.

The thought and attention to detail that Rhoda put into into everything was remarkable we were deeply touched .We will never forget the way she helped us to honor and remember our beloved Tiger.Snow Mountain Pet has our deepest appreciation and gratitude.

Very disappointed, upset and now angry. I lost my precious Lilly on 5/18/2021. I’m beyond heartbroken. My vets office now uses Snow Mountain for cremation services and I’m not familiar with their facility, so I emailed them. I wanted to make sure my baby girl was treated with dignity and respect. This is the response I received.will absolutely look for her and take special care of her since you took the time to send us this email. I will tell her that you love her so much. If you would like, I will do an ink pawprint for you. We put it in a small picture frame and is a nice keepsake.I also requested a clipping of her fur and this is the response I received .HelloYes I will💖They did cremate her, and I did get an ink paw print that was on a piece of printer paper and put in a plastic sleeve and not a picture frame. I also wanted to ask if they did the clay paw print, and was told she thought the vets office did, and they did.I called to find out what happened to the fur clipping and was told “she thought the vets office did the clipping “. They don’t. The woman was apologetic and I understand there’s no possible way of rectifying this mistake. It’s a part of my girl I will never have and I’m heartbroken. I also asked if this woman even saw my girl and she said no. So much for “special care of her “The wood box her cremains are in is beautiful. I just hope they pay closer attention in the future

I brought my girl back home today. I am so pleased with the care and respect they showed her. When my vet sent her off, I imagined the crematory would sent back a bag of ashes. I bought an urn and prepared myself. She came back to me in a beautiful wooden box, along with her pawprint and a beautiful poem.Snow mountain has brought me comfort in this time of sadness.

I just lost my best friend Truman last week. Hardest experience that I’ve ever been through. Snow Mountain was pleasant and easy to deal with, and their prices (I chose the cremation with ashes route) were much more affordable than other businesses with similar services. They were able to return Truman to us within a few days, and in a very clean package (ornate box, a clear case with some of his hairs, a paw print, and a poem). The whole experience made me feel even more at peace with everything. Their location is also in a very peaceful and quiet location - with a nice set of houses nearby (so it’s not totally secluded) - so it’s an ideal place for your pet to rest (if you choose the burial route). I recommend this place.

I lost my dog on 6/2/21 He was 17. He died peacefully at home but I had no idea what to do. I called Snow Mountain and they took care of everything. I was so happy. They were so warm and caring!! Again Thank you so much.

What a wonderful place. She made my baby boy’s final moments so special. I am so happy he can be at peace here on the mountain.

I can honestly say that there are no words for losing a pet. My dog, Illene died of cancer and dealing with her death was extremely difficult. I wanted to bury her, and after calling different pet cemeteries I began to feel discouraged because of the pricing. Each pet cemetery that I called in NJ was charging well over $3000. I stared losing hope until I was referred to Snow Mountain Cemetery. The pricing was affordable and Rhonda was sympathetic throughout the whole process. I was able to see Illene one more time before they buried her and that meant the world to me. I highly recommend this place not because of the pricing but because of how Rhonda treated me and she understood where I was coming from.

We first found out about Snow Mountain in June, 2011 when our 13yr old golden passed away in our arms at home. When snow mt showed such respect when they picked up "tommy" and the funeral was a good closure for us. Now our lovable Joey passed. He looked so peaceful, sleeping in the casket . We were able to pet him one last time and feel his soft fur. At the buriel site we each put a shovel full of dirt in the hole. They even gave us a paw print of Joey and a piece if his hair in a frame. They even buried joey very close to tommy. This is a wonderful place to find peace and closure at such a heartbreaking moment.

Going through loosing a pet is so painful and I didn't even know where to start .....Until I came across snow mountain , I called and spoke to a woman who was so compassionate and understanding even though I was crying and could hardly speak .I give this place 5 ⭐ and HIGHLY recommend snow mountiann, I would also use in the future if needed . They have late hours to accommodate you and she is very fairly priced unlike a LOT of other places . Thank you snow mountain 🥰

The compassionate care and attention provided to our Beloved Shaggy was beautiful. The time spent answering questions about the process and explaining what to expect the day of our services was phenomenal. Our family is truly grateful and thankful.

It was a year in February we lost our fur baby girl Rugby at 14 yrs..we just happened to stumble on Snow Mountain bc our Vet was closed.. I’m so thankful we did..Rhoda was so kind & compassionate preparing our baby for cremation..she has a beautiful carved box, a frame of her paw print with a plastic heart w/her fur that says “Furever in our hearts” plus a laminated Rainbow bridge poem with her name included..how special..we are so grateful for you all for being there for us💕🐾 THANK YOU again
