My brother is in this cemetery and we go there every year so this February 16th we will be there again. We miss my brother a lot, this place is always accessible and very clean... not the place you want to go, but sadly my brother passed away on February 16, 2020 😩

My brother is buried there. I called to ask what the charge would be place my remains in the same tomb. I assumed he was not in a vault, I was right. I didn't feel comfortable having a vault on top of his casket so I then asked about placing my ashes in his grave and was told that I would have to pay a maintenance fee that went into effect after 1973. Why is this my problem? And not only have to pay a large amount to open the grave but another large amount for a mandatory vault. For ashes , really? While I was there a months ago, for the first time in 50 years, I noticed that the up keep was poor in that section. We had to do a lot of cleaning to find his grave. I was also told that I couldn't have grave stone sent from an out of town company and that I had to pay an install fee of $900.00 required by the cemetery. This place makes it difficult to rest in peace. If I could relocate my brother, I would. This is not good customer service, it's greed.

We have a history of our family being buried at Rosedale and Rosehill. Grandparents, Mother, Brothers, Baby Niece, Uncles, Aunt and cousins. I now live in Florida and I just purchased my Niche at Rosehill. The people that work there have always been good to us.

This cemetery is a disaster my grandmother was buried her after passing away from covid-19 and they are telling me I can’t put a stone for about 6 months. They are placing numbers where they are burring people and those numbers are no where to be found when you go there and then you can lo them and ask them how am I suppose to know where my grandma is and they say I’m sorry I can’t guarantee you where she’s at right now. What respect is there you loved one is there and you don’t even know where she is located and the people that work there leave disasters over where you believe your loved one is buried they knock over flowers and leave plywood thrown everywhere this place is a mess. If I could post a pic here I would it’s hard to explain. Just don’t recommend

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received at Rosedale Cemetery. After losing my mother in 2006, I recently attempted to obtain a headstone for her grave. However, a name change issue arose which was completed legally by the New York State Commissioner of Health. Stamp with a seal !Unfortunately, Nicole, the representative handling my case at Rosedale , was unhelpful and disrespectful. She accused us of falsifying the death certificate and showed no empathy or compassion for our loss. Her attitude and handling of the situation were unacceptable, and I am appalled that she was put in charge of managing my mother's headstone arrangement.I implore you to provide Nicole with training on empathy and customer service skills, particularly when dealing with bereaved families. Losing a loved one is already a difficult experience; we shouldn't have to endure further distress due to insensitive and unprofessional behavior.DONT BURY YOUR LOVED ONE HERE

One my happy peaceful things since I was young has been visiting reading about cemeteries. I usually find them when visiting new places.I have drove though this one several times. Some very unique areas in it. Very well kept in my opinion.

The people that works in the office gave me a hard time putting me on hold constantly to send some to help me find my parents grave almost an hour later when I was on my way home someone was coming. I left without seeing their grave and it costed me $300,00 round trip on a cab plus I have disabilities and I use a walker to get around their service at the office sucks.

Excellent service and friendly office staff.We couldn’t locate my deceased mother in law and one of the grounds worker stopped his work to come help us locate our loved one. We located her. The ground s are immaculate here.

On Saturday I made a visit to the cemetery to have a moments with my mom.To my surprise her grave was covered with dirt from a grave that was open.Looking for someone to remove the dirt was another problem . The ground people were rude having me wait until a bulldozer appeared to remove the dirt which took sometime.they were very unprofessional.When I called the office on Monday I got the same unprofessional treatment.. Maybe they should get some professional training real soon.

The other day I went here to visit mother grave. Women who answered the phone was so rude and unprofessional. She was talking to me rudely and raised her voice at me. She had an attitude. She hung up on me and tried to act like we just got disconnected. The only helpful staff are the one's maintaining the grass,graves, and burying the caskets. Please u guys are working with people who are dealing with loss. If u can't be professional find another profession. Only giving 3 stars because the cemetery is well maintained.

Last year in Jan of 2020, my family buried my Grandmother at Rosehill/Rosedale. More recently in August of 2021, my family buried my Uncle. Both experiences with this cemetery were nightmares. Do NOT bury your loved ones here. The management and staff, especially Kathy at the front office and Latonya who identified herself as a Supervisor were absolutely awful. Both of them threatened to turn away the funeral procession multiple times while we we were working on finalizing burial details with them. How can you even say something like this to a grieving family? My family had already purchased burial plots in advance so we had no choice but to deal with their abuse but if we were not in a pickle we would NEVER bury our loved ones here. I am hoping sharing this will help others avoid the painful experience my family and I had to endure. Save yourselves the stress and go elsewhere!

My father was buried on 10/1 and I have never been to such a cold burial . We didn’t even have chairs to sit for our family members or a canopy set up . We didn’t have the opportunity to even lay flowers on my fathers casket. I have many members of my family buried there and I don’t remember such a horrible experience .

As of now my rating is 1. The person I talked to wasSusan and she started off the call very nicely, but thenI'm not sure what happened and she had (I feel) likean attitude. My father's name shows an error on theirpage and I called to find out how to fix it. She told memultiple times that I wasn't listening to what she wassaying and it felt like pulling teeth to be able to findout what I needed to do to fix the error.I will change my rating if customer service betters. Ijust buried my dad, there was no need for any attitudewhatsoever

I have waited over a year and a half for someone to approve my moms tombstone. I keep hearing, “It has not been reviewed yet and that the girl there is backed up”. My mom passed in Aug 2021.Do not bury your loved ones here, unless you have to.

I'm trying to be nice the staff here has bad attitudes. No communiting skills whatsoever. Been trying to put flowers on my mother's& sisters grave since mothers day. They said they ran out. Who runs out of flowers on mothers day? I was told by a staff member they will have more flowers in a week or two, still none. Just got off the phone with them; they said they only got flowers for father's day, and that's that.unreal.yes they are nice when your loveone passes away, that's because they want your money. May God have mercy on their souls.

To put it bluntly, this place is a dump and should be in another business aside from caring to people’s families, which they care nothing about. The landscaping is kept horribly and the cleanup staff of non existent. They contantly are digging in new areas ,removing the id blocks, and then putting them back in wrong areas. At least show some respect for families. I went through this 3 times as my mothers tombstone was being processed. They would put her if block on the wrong area. When I did have a chance to speak with the groundskeeper, he seems a bit tipsy at midday as I smelled liquor on his breath. Now the area looks like a junkyard with trash everywhere and dried up grass that is never seeded. If I had known, I would have buried my mom at a location that takes pride in what they do. Shame on you, but not surprised. I grew up in the area and unfortunately seen the decline in the area, especially linden. But shouldn’t keep companies from taking pride and being leaders. Go elsewhere and avoid the disappointment.

I came on here to rant on my so unpleasant conversation with their apparent new employee. I usually speak to someone alot nicer but this shaniqua lady or whatever her name is, talk about rude and unprofessional. And to think I almost spent my little bit of money ( $7000.) on trying to do business with them. I have no idea why my family has use them in the past but they wont be getting my business ever again. I see on the reviews that I'm not the only one experiencing bad customer service with her ghetto attitude. Im guessing Rosedale/Rosehill wont mind losing business due to their staffs insensitivity and unprofessionalism

The Staff is horrible and rude! I have been polite through the whole process of trying to bury a family member, but the whole staff do not care or show any empathy for you and they will definitely hang up the phone you, they have hung up the phone on me 3 different times! And that’s if you can get a hold of them over the phone, because when you do they will say they’ll call you back and that’ll be about a week later. Even funeral home’s have stated the staff at Rosehill/Rosedale cemetery are horrible. And especially avoid speaking to LATANIA she will definitely hang up the phone on you! THE WHOLE STAFF SHOULD BE FIRED BY THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE! If I had a chance to vote zero stars I would’ve!

Rosedale Cemetary 350 Linden Ave Linden NJReally deserves NO STARS, but I had to give at least one star in order to write this review. This is a dumping ground for human remains. The sections where there are floor memorialsthere is nothing to identify the deceased. The more recent burials had a flag with the word intermit on it, but WHO is interred there? There is just a mound of dirt Today not only was It my brother's 1 year birthday in eternity, it was the day my family and I were going to look about purchasing a floor memorial. You should take about a year before you try and put any headstone or floor memorial on the burial site.It gives the dirt time to shift and settle to support the weight of whatever memorial is placed on it. I witnessed sunken floor memorials with WORK ORDER flags placed on the graves because people placed them too soon. Red clay was thrown all over the graves of those that did have old headstones. Some graves are collapsing. Some graves are too close to eachother. You can see graves that have new grass growing on rhem but no marker anywhere. The land is uneven and odd looking. I COULD NOT FIND MY BROTHER'S GRAVE. THERE WAS NO NUMBER, NO FLAG,, NOTHING!!!!!! I went to the administrative office across the street only to be told it is not their job to place an identifying marker at the burial site. I found that to be contradictory to what I was seeing.when I looked across the walkway and I could see stand up numbered grave markers along with matching in ground markers on graves that didn't have a headstone yet..This was the area with the upright headstones. Right now I am telling you ,if you have a loved one in this cemetary, get there like yesterday. This is sickening to see the way this place is kept. You will never know where your loved one is buried because they can' t tell you. What they did was created a burial ground on a landfill. The land is going to continue to sink because there is nothing really solid beneath the surface. So when they continue to dig into the earth to create graves, they are weakening the land. Go to the section called Elmlawn. Graves are sinking and headstones are lopsided.I will never be able to find my brother in this muckis of a mess.I refuse to let my brother die in vein. Rosedale it is time to clean up your act!!!!!!

It is a will kept and beautiful cemetery. Maybe because of the COVID-19, they were not capable of handling all the paperwork. It true you have to wait 6 months before you put down a head stone, this is because the ground must settle back firmly. Sorry to hear about your experience.

Managerial staff is excellent! RUTH is way above average! Emerildo is also great! ROSEDALE is a family tradition for our family. God bless my family! Most are buried there. Cemetery is in constant improvements. Trees in sunny side 4 need to be cut, they’re dead and shedding pieces all over.

I do not...I repeat DO NOT recommend taking your loved ones to be buried here. It’s Horrible. My friend’s Gravesite was missing. When I tried to leave flower for my friend I asked the worker there which one was his site. There response was IDK maybe this one is it. So you’re telling me I’m leaving flowers for someone who could be my friend? That’s friggin ridiculous!!! no indication where the plot number is!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

Zero Star. The customer service attitude to a family member whose mother passed away two days ago is horrendous. I first spoke with a lady in Accounts Receivable. She sounded flustered, very annoyed, and bothered by my questions. She then says hold on and has me speak with Nicole. First thing Nicole says is," this is what you have to do". Very, very rude and with no regard to the grief someone calling a cemetary would have during this time. She was not helpful, rushing manner, and just her tone was Hurry Up.I called with a question that did need explanation of the payment process for a gravesite that I am an actual owner at the cemetary.Very rude and not helpful. They need to do a customer service training class. The tone is important especially in the adiministration office at a cemetaryCynthia Narvaez , owner of a plot.

If families do have an option as to where you would like your family or friend buried...Do NOT choose this Rosedale Cementary in Linden NJ. They do not have or show any respect for your loved ones only and final resting place.

Rosedale Cemetary 350 Linden Ave Linden NJReally deserves NO STARS, but I had to give at least one star in order to write this review. This is a dumping ground for human remains. The sections where there are floor memorialsthere is nothing to identify the deceased. The more recent burials had a flag with the word intermit on it, but WHO is interred there? There is just a mound of dirt Today not only was It my brother's 1 year birthday in eternity, it was the day my family and I were going to look about purchasing a floor memorial. You should take about a year before you try and put any headstone or floor memorial on the burial site.It gives the dirt time to shift and settle to support the weight of whatever memorial is placed on it. I witnessed sunken floor memorials with WORK ORDER flags placed on the graves because people placed them too soon. Red clay was thrown all over the graves of those that did have old headstones. Some graves are collapsing. Some graves are too close to eachother. You can see graves that have new grass growing on rhem but no marker anywhere. The land is uneven and odd looking. I COULD NOT FIND MY BROTHER'S GRAVE. THERE WAS NO NUMBER, NO FLAG,, NOTHING!!!!!! I went to the administrative office across the street only to be told it is not their job to place an identifying marker at the burial site. I found that to be contradictory to what I was seeing.when I looked across the walkway and I could see stand up numbered grave markers along with matching in ground markers on graves that didn't have a headstone yet..This was the area with the upright headstones. Right now I am telling you ,if you have a loved one in this cemetary, get there like yesterday. This is sickening to see the way this place is kept. You will never know where your loved one is buried because they can' t tell you. What they did was created a burial ground on a landfill. The land is going to continue to sink because there is nothing really solid beneath the surface. So when they continue to dig into the earth to create graves, they are weakening the land. Go to the section called Elmlawn. Graves are sinking and headstones are lopsided.I will never be able to find my brother in this muckis of a mess.I refuse to let my brother die in vein. Rosedale it is time to clean up your act!!!!!!

My beloved Grandma an Grandpa have been buried here since the early 1950's. They hava Always been well taken care of and for that I am truly grateful! God bless each an everyone of them 🙏🙏🙏

It is a will kept and beautiful cemetery. Maybe because of the COVID-19, they were not capable of handling all the paperwork. It true you have to wait 6 months before you put down a head stone, this is because the ground must settle back firmly. Sorry to hear about your experience.

Managerial staff is excellent! RUTH is way above average! Emerildo is also great! ROSEDALE is a family tradition for our family. God bless my family! Most are buried there. Cemetery is in constant improvements. Trees in sunny side 4 need to be cut, they’re dead and shedding pieces all over.

Went on Mothers Day, couldn't find my mom spot. Grave stone covered or sunk and no markers a mess it was. Going again soon to visit hope somone can help so i can leave some flowers.

I do not...I repeat DO NOT recommend taking your loved ones to be buried here. It’s Horrible. My friend’s Gravesite was missing. When I tried to leave flower for my friend I asked the worker there which one was his site. There response was IDK maybe this one is it. So you’re telling me I’m leaving flowers for someone who could be my friend? That’s friggin ridiculous!!! no indication where the plot number is!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

Zero Star. The customer service attitude to a family member whose mother passed away two days ago is horrendous. I first spoke with a lady in Accounts Receivable. She sounded flustered, very annoyed, and bothered by my questions. She then says hold on and has me speak with Nicole. First thing Nicole says is," this is what you have to do". Very, very rude and with no regard to the grief someone calling a cemetary would have during this time. She was not helpful, rushing manner, and just her tone was Hurry Up.I called with a question that did need explanation of the payment process for a gravesite that I am an actual owner at the cemetary.Very rude and not helpful. They need to do a customer service training class. The tone is important especially in the adiministration office at a cemetaryCynthia Narvaez , owner of a plot.

My mom passed away in 1981. The cemetary is well kept and very beautiful. My dad and my 3 brothers are also here. When my time comes I also want to be laid to rest here as well.

If families do have an option as to where you would like your family or friend buried...Do NOT choose this Rosedale Cementary in Linden NJ. They do not have or show any respect for your loved ones only and final resting place.

I am appalled at this cemetery and their response when questioned about the timeline. Their review process is appalling. They need to hire more staff or train their current staff better.They are very unpleasant, take too long (5+ months) to review applications, blame USPS for no reason, do not consider the time families have waited to memorialize their loved ones. They don't care, I don't recommend this cemetery. Even the companies that make the tombstones have complained about the severe delay with this cemetery alone, AT ALL!They are extremely slow with the paperwork and setting up of tombstones process.
