Pet Meadow did a wonderful job with the wake and cremation of my 15 1/2yr old cat Muffn. Her loss was unexpected and I was just at a loss for words and grieving. But Pet Meadow helped in every way possible and were very caring and explained everything to me and answered all my questions.It was really like a small funeral for Muffn and my husband and I truly said our final goodbyes to my most faithful little companion ever. My first Pet and my biggest heart break ever.

I can not recommend Pet Meadow enough for how they carried on our wishes. The cremation of our beloved cat was dignified and respectful, which was very needed since we were in deep pain from losing him. We were able to take our cats ashes home same day. They kept us informed of the progress as we waited, allowing us to get a bite to eat close by. Thank you for make the process just a little bit easier. I also appreciate the memorial wall on their page.

The loss of our baby girl has been extremely difficult. I had to put other fur babies to sleep through out my life but Bella was one of the hardest losses. This was my first time using Pet Meadow. I called a few times with questions and they were nothing but sympathetic and helpful. They took their time on the phone and answered all my questions and concerns. The presentation of Bella was beautifully done. We got her paw print and fur clippings as well. They gave a lot of wonderful clippings of all her beautiful spots. (Poor thing might have been bald by the end lol but worth having part of her). Everything was done with care and professionalism.

My dog passed away at home and I couldn’t leave my elderly mom home alone to bring him to the vet, so I was calling a lot of nearby crematoriums to see if someone could come to us. Most places didn’t even answer or said they couldn’t service my area, then eventually Google recommended me Pet Meadows. They quickly sent someone to come to our home, and I finally felt a small relief during a very distressing and emotional time. They were so compassionate and helpful throughout the entire process, and I know they treated him with respect until the very end. This is the 3rd time I have utilized Carlstadt Pet Meadow. The care, consideration, compassion and consistency I've encountered everytime are unlike anywhere else.I have to give a tremendous shout-out to Allie in Carlstadt. She was the sweetest and with a fantastic bedside manner. She's in a very hard position and her gentle nature and deep empathy makes picking up your best friends a little easier. She handled everything delicately and with class. My Thurmans nickname was mispelled on his urn and in a moment she rectified it. The process was very simple, I didn't have to do anything. My beloved cat's remains were transferred to Pet Meadow by my vet, and they emailed me with updates. All I had to do was select the urn/box options from a catalog. I received the ashes within a week in a pretty box. It was a nice convenient experience after a sad event.

The experience with Pet Meadow was good. They took great care to send back our beloved dog's remains to our vet in a nice box. We even had the option to get an engraving. The only complaint that we have is the cost. Cremation was very expensive and forget about purchasing any kind of mementos like foot prints etc. those extras are quite costly too. Luckily I made my own paw print of my sweet fur baby before his passing and clipped a bit of fur.

Everything was wonderful. Have her in an area of house she loved to be. She was my 4 legged daughter. Setting up for holiday was hard, she was always at your feet. Cooking is depressing, she would clean up after you. Miss her spiciness and her love of people. I worked hospice for several years, we know having her cremated was best. Pet Meadow made a very difficult situation in our lives a bit easier to cope and deal with. Every person I spoke to was compassionate and respectful of our loss. They were gentle and understanding when I mentioned that I'd be out of the country for 2 weeks and was worried about not being there to receive this very important package. They made a special note and kept my pet safe with them until we were back home, and they even called before sending to make sure I was okay with the delivery date. I did also get a paw print- which was masterfully done in a very tasteful way. April 8th, 2024 was the saddest day of my life with My Nia. I had to make the hard decision ever in my life for her. My Nia was a 13-year-old Yorkie who had Seizures and on medications that after a year started to take over her body. throughout the day she was having trouble going to the bathroom or walking so I took her to see her doctor for blood work and then to the ER at her Neurologist office to where they stated that she might need to see an orthopedic doctor to why she isn't walking. I didn't want to put her through any more doctor or see her in more pain. so, I took her home and look up HomeHeart Vets that night. They email me back so fast and was able to come to my home the very next day in the afternoon for me to say my Goodbye to My Baby Girl in a Peaceful Respectful way. They told me that they work with Pet Meadow who as well keep in contact with me all the way once they had received My Baby Girl. Pet Meadow reviewed all my wished with me. Once My Nia was ready to come home, they called me and made sure that I would be home to sign for the package. Everything was done very beautifully for me and my family. We did her Nose Print in a frame & we went with the Raku Urn from the Odyssey Collection. This was the time we had ever went through something like this, Nia was our very first family pet. Pet Meadow made a very difficult situation in our lives a bit easier to cope and deal with. Every person I spoke to was compassionate and respectful of our loss. They were gentle and understanding when I mentioned that I'd be out of the country for 2 weeks and was worried about not being there to receive this very important package. They made a special note and kept my pet safe with them until we were back home, and they even called before sending to make sure I was okay with the delivery date. I did also get a paw print- which was masterfully done in a very tasteful way. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things I've gone through, but Pet Meadow really went above and beyond to memorialize him.

Our 9 year old fur daughter left us to soon from cancer. She was brought here after she passed away. Today we got the call she was ready to return home. It was thunder and lightning, pouring out. The area to Pet Meadow was flooded. But, I was determined to bring our April home. Pitbull/German Shepherd 101 pounds. She was our child, everything to our family. The flood water was up to my calves. I didn't care, I'd go through hell and high water to bring her home. A young man was standing outside, with a young lady. I yelled over to make sure it was the place. Elvis saw me walking through the flood waters, I said didn't care I'm bringing my baby home, I will walk over. I got close he asks , what's her name? He went in and got her, waded through the water to me. I began to cry, we hugged. I can not explain in words the level of customer service he provided. But the level of compassion , empathy, respect and love he showed was something very rare these days. He did this out of pure heart. Absolutely ,could of said come back tomorrow etc but he saw my determination to come get my baby today. This level of care given to our family dog and care to our family is beyond words. I’m very upset with this company on how the service was handle with my dog, at first they told me they were going to give me a picture of my dog because I wanted to make sure it was my dog they cremated. The information never got to the person who it was supposed to forward the picture and went on cremating my dog without me seeing a proof. Than the company said to me that the ring I had purchase was going to get reimbursed and it did but that they were going to send it anyway at no additional cost it’s been a month now and they never did. I don’t know what happen or what they did now with the ashes of my dog that they took to make this ring. Who I spoke to told me practically that the ring was never placed on order yet the company reassured me it was. This is definitely the worst place to bring a significant pet. Bad experience all the way.

Their support via phone is great- the staff is friendly and takes their time explaining the process. Use them if you must, but do things yourself before hand because they nickel & dime people in their grief. Things others have gotten complimentary, fur clipping or paw print, was an extra expense I wasn't aware of until after my dog was no longer in my possession. I could've clipped his fur myself for free, or gotten the paw print myself. No WAY it costs them $10 to clip some fur, or $50 for ink & paper for a paw print. NO WAY. When I brought this their attention after they asked me for a review, they emailed me back saying "Hendrick was in the best care... Hendrick received the most compassion". My dogs name was HENRIK. They couldn't even spell his name right when defending their non existent compassion. I was disgusted and decided to share my story on Google for all to see.Use them if you must, but do everything yourself beforehand. And don't expect any compassion. They'll call your pet a package and misspell their name. Disgusting. Very disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would! What can be worse then having 1 pet die and then 1 week later another pet die? I'll tell you what is worse. Having a pet cremation business that cant seem to get things right. My first pet (my wife's) bird died on Tuesday 11th of July, his body wasn't picked up until the 14th which was 3 day's later. Then we had to wait almost 2 weeks before we got his cremated remains back. Making things worse, the card that came with his remains was for a totally different pet with the wrong name of the pet and it even had the wrong family on the card. So contacting Pet Meadow was just about impossible since they dont answer the phone unless the phone call is from a vet's office. Then 1 week later on the 18th of July, another pet (my pet) bird had died. Again, I had to wait almost 2 weeks before I was able to pick up his cremated remains since his body wasn't picked up until July 21st and I didn't receive the remains until the 28th. When I picked up the ashes, the urn that I picked didn't have a lock on the front like it was supposed to have. Back to the vet again for them to try and get in touch with Pet Meadow once again. So finally, today, August 7th, I get a call from the vet's office saying that the new card for pet #1 was in along with the lock for the urn of pet #2. Looking at the card for pet #1, the pets name was right but my wife's last name was my last name instead of her's. She wanted her last name on the card since I didn't come into her pet's life until 7 years ago and she spent 14 years as the sole owner of pet #1 before she had met me. With all the screw up's Pet Meadow has made with 2 pets, we even started to question whether or not that the ashes we received are even the ashes of our pets or maybe the ashes of someone else's pet. But thinking this way will only make us feel worse than the way Pet Meadow has made this situation of the death of our 2 pets even more heart breaking then it had to be. Take my advice, if your pet should die, go to Abbey Glenn instead. In the past when my pet's passed away, Abbey Glenn picked up their bodies within a day and the remains were cremated and returned within 5 day's. They are so much more professional, caring and show way more respect than Pet Meadow has. We did express our anger with the vet and I had mentioned how Abbey Glenn was so much better, professional, etc and all the worker's at the vet agree'd with me 100%. And scrolling down to read other comments about Pet Meadow, I find it strange how they only responded to comments left by people who talked good about them. They dont respond to comments where the comment say's something bad about them. Yes, they have responded but it only took them almost 3 months to respond to our concerns. That just gives you an idea of how bad this place really is! STAY AWAY!

I apologize, but I can not remember the name of the lovely young woman who was at the desk when we arrived to pick up our Layla's ashes and fur clipping, but she was equally wonderful. Pet Meadow was beyond wonderful in our time of grief. The staff members showed us the utmost compassion and warmth. We did a viewing (which I didn't even know would be possible) which was something I needed and gave me closure. They cared for my fur baby with such love and respect, just as one would expect of their human counterparts. I cannot put into words how appreciative I am for Pet Meadow and what they afforded me in my time of need. They will forever be a part of my sweet boy's memory. Even in death, they showed how much light they can bring to a family member's legacy.

There are many pet funeral homes out there. We picked Carlstadt Pet Meadow because they not only offer private cremations, but they also hold private viewings and the option of going home with your pet's ashes (many funeral homes only offer mailed ashes). That was a very important detail for us.Our sweet sweet Jojo was brought here after she passed away. We had purchased a private cremation and viewing but had no idea what to expect. I called to schedule the cremation before Jojo had been delivered to them, and when the woman who answered the phone sensed my concern, she assured me that she would call when Jojo had arrived safely. She did indeed call me back a few days later and that allowed us to feel better knowing she was now in their care.On the day of the viewing, Scott placed Jojo in a private room in a dignified manner (with her head on a pillow near a vase of tall flowers) and told us to spend as much time with her as we needed. We said our goodbyes and were so grateful that we had some more time with her. We never felt rushed and truly felt like Jojo was respected while in their care.During the time we spent at CPM, Scott treated us with so much compassion and understanding. He answered all our questions and kept us informed during every step of the cremation process. When we asked for the ashes to be parceled out in a certain way, he was so accommodating and respectful. I can honestly say that he helped to ease an extremely painful time for my family.I would absolutely 1000% recommend Carlstadt Pet Meadow (and especially Scott) to anyone in need of such services.

Saying goodbye to my sweet Piper girl was heartbreaking. But, knowing she was in truly caring hands of this team was a great comfort. They were thoughtful and sensitive in the communications we shared, always quick with a response, and genuinely compassionate throughout. It meant a lot when they helped pass on some of my final words to my sweet girl, just before her cremation (sure, she was no longer in her body at the time, but the mindful awareness of still treating her with love and kindness, right up through that final touch, it brings its own unique comfort). I highly recommend using them, such an extra degree of quality, compassion, and genuine care. The paw print mold came out great, as did the silver nose impression. The cremation box and gold name plate were lovely too, and everything shipped with care.

Pet Meadow handled the cremation of my furbaby. I was very anxious about the process, but they were kind and compassionate. They have so many options for remembrance keepsakes. I now have an ink nose print and paw print of her to cherish. They were also very communicative about when she would be arriving at their facility, when the cremation would occur, and when I would receive her back home. Its such a heartbreaking time, but the anxiety is at least eased when you have caring staff answering any and all questions without judgement.

This is long, but to understand how we feel, I think I need to tell you our story and why I will highly recommend Pet Meadows, and more specifically the viewing before cremation.Our Bella was at the hospital with breathing issues. She was on quite a few medications with a heart murmur and other health problems. The doctors did not sound very positive but we had so much faith in her resilience that we knew she’d be coming home. We went to see her and hopefully bring her home. She was in an Oxygen crate and we could only reach through a small opening to pet her. The doctor asked if we wanted to see her in a private room that also has oxygen. Of course, we did. We were brought to a waiting area. She literally came back in 2 minutes to tell us that Bella stopped breathing and they are performing CPR. She ran to the back while we had to wait. Came back 5 minutes later to tell us she had passed away. We were devastated and traumatized. We were able to see her after she passed on to say our goodbyes but we were inconsolable and just about incoherent while holding her as we were in shock. We have remained that way for the last 5 days. Barely eating and just being miserable. Well today we went to see our girl at Pet Meadow prior to her cremation. I cannot emphasize the amazing feeling of peace we felt after spending time with our girl. She looked great, and having the opportunity to tell her to her beautiful little face all the things we never got to tell her at the hospital in our frenzy, was so therapeutic. I had never heard of a pet viewing before. All I will tell you is if your ending did not give you closure, take a chance at having a new last memory. It was so worth it.As far as the folks at Pet Meadow, they could not have been any nicer to us. Bella looked great and comfortable, like she was resting in a doggy blanket. They were compassionate and caring and went out of their way to accommodate us. I also feel their whole package was very reasonably priced. I would easily and confidently recommend them to someone who wants a professional, caring and dignified rest for their beloved pet. Use them if you must, but do things yourself before hand because they nickel & dime people in their grief. Things others have gotten complimentary, fur clipping or paw print, was an extra expense I wasn't aware of until after my dog was no longer in my possession. I could've clipped his fur myself for free, or gotten the paw print myself. No WAY it costs them $10 to clip some fur, or $50 for ink & paper for a paw print. NO WAY. When I brought this their attention after they asked me for a review, they emailed me back saying "Hendrick was in the best care... Hendrick received the most compassion". My dogs name was HENRIK. They couldn't even spell his name right when defending their non existent compassion. I was disgusted and decided to share my story on Google for all to see.Use them if you must, but do everything yourself beforehand. And don't expect any compassion. They'll call your pet a package and misspell their name. Disgusting. Very disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would! What can be worse then having 1 pet die and then 1 week later another pet die? I'll tell you what is worse. Having a pet cremation business that cant seem to get things right. My first pet (my wife's) bird died on Tuesday 11th of July, his body wasn't picked up until the 14th which was 3 day's later. Then we had to wait almost 2 weeks before we got his cremated remains back. Making things worse, the card that came with his remains was for a totally different pet with the wrong name of the pet and it even had the wrong family on the card. So contacting Pet Meadow was just about impossible since they dont answer the phone unless the phone call is from a vet's office. Then 1 week later on the 18th of July, another pet (my pet) bird had died. Again, I had to wait almost 2 weeks before I was able to pick up his cremated remains since his body wasn't picked up until July 21st and I didn't receive the remains until the 28th. When I picked up the ashes, the urn that I picked didn't have a lock on the front like it was supposed to have. Back to the vet again for them to try and get in touch with Pet Meadow once again. So finally, today, August 7th, I get a call from the vet's office saying that the new card for pet #1 was in along with the lock for the urn of pet #2. Looking at the card for pet #1, the pets name was right but my wife's last name was my last name instead of her's. She wanted her last name on the card since I didn't come into her pet's life until 7 years ago and she spent 14 years as the sole owner of pet #1 before she had met me. With all the screw up's Pet Meadow has made with 2 pets, we even started to question whether or not that the ashes we received are even the ashes of our pets or maybe the ashes of someone else's pet. But thinking this way will only make us feel worse than the way Pet Meadow has made this situation of the death of our 2 pets even more heart breaking then it had to be. Take my advice, if your pet should die, go to Abbey Glenn instead. In the past when my pet's passed away, Abbey Glenn picked up their bodies within a day and the remains were cremated and returned within 5 day's. They are so much more professional, caring and show way more respect than Pet Meadow has. We did express our anger with the vet and I had mentioned how Abbey Glenn was so much better, professional, etc and all the worker's at the vet agree'd with me 100%. And scrolling down to read other comments about Pet Meadow, I find it strange how they only responded to comments left by people who talked good about them. They dont respond to comments where the comment say's something bad about them. Yes, they have responded but it only took them almost 3 months to respond to our concerns. That just gives you an idea of how bad this place really is! STAY AWAY!

Pet Meadow was beyond wonderful in our time of grief. The staff members showed us the utmost compassion and warmth. We did a viewing (which I didn't even know would be possible) which was something I needed and gave me closure. They cared for my fur baby with such love and respect, just as one would expect of their human counterparts. There are many pet funeral homes out there. We picked Carlstadt Pet Meadow because they not only offer private cremations, but they also hold private viewings and the option of going home with your pet's ashes (many funeral homes only offer mailed ashes). That was a very important detail for us.Our sweet sweet Jojo was brought here after she passed away. We had purchased a private cremation and viewing but had no idea what to expect. I called to schedule the cremation before Jojo had been delivered to them, and when the woman who answered the phone sensed my concern, she assured me that she would call when Jojo had arrived safely. She did indeed call me back a few days later and that allowed us to feel better knowing she was now in their care.On the day of the viewing, Scott placed Jojo in a private room in a dignified manner (with her head on a pillow near a vase of tall flowers) and told us to spend as much time with her as we needed. We said our goodbyes and were so grateful that we had some more time with her. We never felt rushed and truly felt like Jojo was respected while in their care.During the time we spent at CPM, Scott treated us with so much compassion and understanding. He answered all our questions and kept us informed during every step of the cremation process. When we asked for the ashes to be parceled out in a certain way, he was so accommodating and respectful. I can honestly say that he helped to ease an extremely painful time for my family.I would absolutely 1000% recommend Carlstadt Pet Meadow (and especially Scott) to anyone in need of such services.

Pet Meadow is an absolute gem. From the service, cremation process, staff, facility, quality of goods, transportation, care, and handling of my pet, they helped guide me through each step with compassion and kindness. It's hard enough when dealing with the loss of a pet, it's another to then try and figure out the how of saying goodbye in the best way possible. I'm at a stage of life where all my childhood pets have been slowly falling away and in my attempts to somehow keep their memories close to me I found Pet Meadow. Their products are well made and they provide decent amount of options to remember your pet from clay paw prints to wildflower seeds, I gave my little brother a paw print keychain of his favorite cat. I've had them help me with my pets since 2018 up until now. My only regret was that I couldn't use their services when I moved far away and I would have loved to use their services for one of my toughest losses. I likely would have gotten at least a paw print and a nice case instead of a sad plastic box without the attention detail Pet Meadow provides.

Saying goodbye to my sweet Piper girl was heartbreaking. But, knowing she was in truly caring hands of this team was a great comfort. They were thoughtful and sensitive in the communications we shared, always quick with a response, and genuinely compassionate throughout. It meant a lot when they helped pass on some of my final words to my sweet girl, just before her cremation (sure, she was no longer in her body at the time, but the mindful awareness of still treating her with love and kindness, right up through that final touch, it brings its own unique comfort). I highly recommend using them, such an extra degree of quality, compassion, and genuine care. The paw print mold came out great, as did the silver nose impression. We had an appointment with a vet that does house calls. They regularly use Pet Meadow as their cremation service. Pet Meadow was extremely pleasant and professional anytime I contacted them. They were easy to get ahold of and speak with someone quickly. We did end up having to wait a significant amount of time, almost 2 months, for the return of the remains. We ordered a special urn with special engraving so it caused a significant delay. I would definitely recommend.

I lost my baby boy (cat) Cheezeburger about a month ago at home. It was around 2am and I remembered Hamilton Pet Meadow had handled the aftercare of my other 3 boys, and so I called them and left a message on their emergency number. A very kind woman called me back within 15 minutes and answered all of my questions. I was thankful that they now had a location close by to me in Carlstadt where I brought Cheezeburger the next morning. Pet Meadow did a great job in helping us through the process of scheduling a cremation for our furbaby. They also have an easy-to-use website to order keepsakes and memorials. The staff were kind and took the time to answer our questions. While no one wants to consider putting their furbaby down, I highly recommend Pet Meadow for cremation for as much of a stress-free experience as possible.

Pet Meadow is an absolute gem. From the service, cremation process, staff, facility, quality of goods, transportation, care, and handling of my pet, they helped guide me through each step with compassion and kindness. It's hard enough when dealing with the loss of a pet, it's another to then try and figure out the how of saying goodbye in the best way possible. Pictured is the clay paw imprint and the included box, name engraved with the ashes inside from Pet Meadow. There are a lot of different options for keepsakes, urns, viewings, and other offerings with a staff who are empathetic in time of need.

I was touched by how they referred to our cat by her name, and in the present tense: “Lila is returning home” —they didn’t say her ashes are on the way. Those little details go a long way to comfort families at such a difficult time.

I'm at a stage of life where all my childhood pets have been slowly falling away and in my attempts to somehow keep their memories close to me I found Pet Meadow. Their products are well made and they provide decent amount of options to remember your pet from clay paw prints to wildflower seeds, I gave my little brother a paw print keychain of his favorite cat. I've had them help me with my pets since 2018 up until now. My only regret was that I couldn't use their services when I moved far away and I would have loved to use their services for one of my toughest losses. I likely would have gotten at least a paw print and a nice case instead of a sad plastic box without the attention detail Pet Meadow provides.

We had an appointment with a vet that does house calls. They regularly use Pet Meadow as their cremation service. Pet Meadow was extremely pleasant and professional anytime I contacted them. They were easy to get ahold of and speak with someone quickly. We did end up having to wait a significant amount of time, almost 2 months, for the return of the remains. We ordered a special urn with special engraving so it caused a significant delay. I would definitely recommend.

The passing of a pet is difficult enough without having to then deal with the logistics of “after”. Pet Meadow made the process as easy as it could be, given the circumstances. After losing my beloved cat, Luigi on February 1 oradell hospital recommended pet Meadow in Carlstadt. I am thankful to the staff of pet Meadow for being able to have the opportunity to see my cat and say one last goodbye before cremation. they were very kind asked me if I wanted to stay to View the cremation, or I can come back and pick up his remains. From the moment we entered and left, the respect and compassion the staff showed goes way beyond what we all expected.We were taken away on the patience and understanding the whole staff displayed to us to help ease the pain of saying good-bye.Even to the little details like asking to close the curtain when removing the ashes really showed true care. I lost my baby boy (cat) Cheezeburger about a month ago at home. It was around 2am and I remembered Hamilton Pet Meadow had handled the aftercare of my other 3 boys, and so I called them and left a message on their emergency number. A very kind woman called me back within 15 minutes and answered all of my questions. I was thankful that they now had a location close by to me in Carlstadt where I brought Cheezeburger the next morning. I wanted to share my experience I had with Pet Meadow of Carlstadt. I lost my beautiful little girl, Kiki suddenly on September 20th, 2023. She was my beloved companion for over 12 years and her loss was absolutely devastating. I was extremely anxious about getting her back home and I reached out to Pet Meadow via Facebook messenger and a very kind woman by the name of Allyssa spoke to me and assured me that Kiki was already taken care of and would be heading back home to me the next day. She was very warm and compassionate. Today is the 30th and Kiki is finally home. She was lovingly and professionally prepared. I received her remains in a beautiful red wooden box, her paw print in a lovely display case with the Rainbow Bridge poem, and her hair clippings came in a small pouch. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the care and respect that was given to my little lady. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
