I am extremely disappointed in West Coast. I picked up my hedgehogs's ashes and paw print today and the paw print looks so sloppy. I have brought 5 other pets here and never once have I received such a sloppy piece. It breaks my heart to know one of the last things my hedgehog touched is a complete mess. This is not acceptable. I am very disgusted with the person who was in charge of this ceramic print.

It was with great sadness that our Maltese mix, Snoopy, passed away at home last month. He passed away after suffering illness for the past 6 months. Several trips to the vets did not lessen his sufferings. Fortunately he died naturally, at home. He lived a good, ripe age of almost 15 years. We definitely wanted a private cremation service for him, sprinkled with a few flowers from our garden. But the biggest problem was that my wife was leaving to visit her relatives overseas in a day; and it was too late to cancel the flight. But we both wanted to be there to say our final goodbye.I called different pet cremation places. West Coast Pet Memorial was very flexible and accommodating. They understood; and had absolutely no issue to keep him in the morgue for the two-week duration while my wife was overseas. The staff, Skyla, Christie and Marcella kept the place very clean and comfortable. When the cremation time came, they brought Snoopy into a private viewing room to say our final goodbye. What is more, they had three private-cremation chambers, all computerized, with all the correct information before starting the cremation. We were able to witness the entire process. If I could give West Coast Pet Memorial Service a 10-star rating, I would be glad to do so in a heart beat.

My Mia crossed over the rainbow bridge recently and I chose a private viewing/ cremation for Mia. I explained to Skylar what I wanted and upon arrival, I was granted everything concerning my Mia . They went above and beyond for my Mia and my family! They were so compassionate and caring as they understand what youโre going through as they also understand this was the most difficult time in our lives. I never knew before this that one can have a private viewing/cremation and watch as much as you choose! I wanted this for my Mia and I absolutely do not regret my decision in watching everything with my precious girl! I HIGHLY recommend West Coast pet crematory! I wish I could give a hundred stars to them as they truly deserve it! Thank you Skylar and Kristy for your kindness to us at this most difficult time!

The former owners of this crematory were so compassionate and caring. This experience today just felt like a money making machine. I received a call that our dogs remains were ready. I got there and they tried to give me another's remains. Then they could not find ours and I had to sit there through their confusion as Igot more emotional and upset. I'm not even sure if I have the correct ones now. It may be a business to them but these are family members to their clients. The manager asked the worker as I walked out upset what happened. She could have walked out and spoken to me directly or called me right after since she has my number, but apparently good customer service isn't high on their priorities. This was so disappointing at such a difficult and tender time. Word of mouth is still very important in our area, and they aren't getting high reviews of late. Spending years doing business with local businesses, I recommend Heart's Companion instead.

I have had 3 dogs cremated with the prior owners, I haven't dealt with West Coast yet, but the reviews aren't very promising. I guess we will see because I'm bringing in the 4th one today. I will post another review after I deal with the new owners. The old owners treated me with respect and kindness and they took care of my dogs. They were sympathetic towards me and they were sincere. Thank you Mom and Popโค

Might not look like much from the outside, but there's a whole lot of heart inside. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive. The process was as painless as necessary with options for payment the day of - or on the day of pickup. They offer an extremely generous grieving telephone line.Honestly I couldn't possibly say enough to support these kind hearted people.Thank you so much for taking care of my spiky girl. Thank you for being so kind and understanding. Honestly, I hope I never have to - but if I ever need to, I 100% recommend this location for the services they offer. โฅ

This review is long overdue. I wish I could give West Coast Pet Memorial a thousand stars. Taking my furbaby to the emergency, I was not expecting to hear the news that it was time. My husband called West Coast two hours before closing. We finally arrived 50 minutes before closing yet they still allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted with my baby Chimi and gave me the opportunity to be present during his cremation. Paul, the owner, even stayed behind working overtime after closing to make sure everything was done that same evening. I need everyone to know that Paul at West Coast Pet Memorial is not in this business for the money. It is very clear he does this out of the kindness of his heart and for his community. I felt more compassion from Paul and his staff than I have with real funeral homes. Iโm still at a loss for words but Iโm so so thankful for you, Paul and Angel. Your empathy and compassion truly touched my heart. Thank you for allowing me to properly say goodbye and caring for Chimi beautifully and respectfully. You will always be in my prayersโค๏ธ God bless you and your amazing team

I can't express how grateful I am for the compassionate and caring services provided by west coast pet memorial. As a preschool with a zoo, we've had to face the natural cycle of life with our classroom pets. West coast pet memorial has been a haven during these challenging moments, making the end-of-life process smoother and more manageable. The staff's exceptional empathy and genuine care have made a world of difference. It's clear that they understand the emotional bond we have with our animals. Their support has meant the world to us, and I wouldn't consider taking my animals anywhere else. Thank you to the entire team for being outstanding in every way.

My daughter took my Grandaughters dog that passed away here for after life care the Saturday he passed away in May 2024. She told them she didn't get paid till Wednesday. She was told to either come in Wednesday with payment or pick up the dog and they would keep him in a freezer until then. All of this infront of my hysterical 9 year old Grandaughter. So I turned the car around immediately and put the 600 plus dollar charge on my credit card. They still had Smeagol there 7 days. I was told he was cremated and just sat there somewhere in something for a whole day because the urn that my grandaughter picked out & requested his name be engraved on was still not ready because the engraver "Just didn't get to it". So Smeagol was sent home in a temporary plastic box. My Grandaughter is very upset he was there so long and not in the resting place she wanted for him. Will not be using them again. If I could give no stars I would. Whole situation is very upsetting. I'm now questioning their care and if we have Smeagol at all being left out a whole day after cremation instead of being placed in his final resting place after 7 days. Wonder how many days it will take their engraver to complete the job and service they were paid for?

I couldn't have asked for a better experience in such a hard time. My 10yo, 90lb boy, Tyson unexpectedly passed away at home. I was at a loss. Not only from the sudden grief, but also from the fact that I couldn't physically lift him or even bring myself to try. I called the amazing staff at West Coast Pet Memorial and they were so empathetic and kind. The initial phone call, the accommodations of coming to my home, the communication throughout the whole process and even the encounter of picking up my baby boy's ashes after everything was complete. The prices are fair and they were able to work with me. I will be forever grateful to this team of compassionate individuals and I will recommend them to anyone who is faced with such a difficult situation.

This place was sold to a vulture firm. Massive price increases. Otherwise respectful, but predatory for former clients.

Paul and his team at West Coast was so kind and understanding. He made the whole process easier of letting my older girl go. I came in the last hour before they closed and he was so sweet to make last minute arrangements seriously couldnโt thank him enough for going the whole 9 yards for me and my pet. I was offered to spend as much time as I wanted with my pet and to take my time, even pick to pick out an urn again a little after the closed I wasnโt rushed I genuinely wouldnโt know what to do without their help. Thank you so much West Coast.

I could not update my last review, so decided to add this way. They were made aware of my dissatisfaction and asked me to call or come by to make things right. I went over, we discussed all that happened. I gave them some constructive criticism, which they listened to, and acknowledged the missteps. I am satisfied that this was a learning opportunity for all. Amends made and accepted.

I just want to say, thank you so much for being so kind and empathetic when I called to ask about services. I was able to get in quickly to bring my beloved kitty and the staff handled her with care and respect. It made the process much easier to deal with when saying goodbye to my little best friend that I had for 16 years. I was afraid I was going to get someone on the phone that was very unsympathetic, that was absolutely not the case.Thank you so much.

Thank you for a beautiful, dignified and cherished memorial for our recently departed dog, Daisy Mae. The presentation, final urn, aftercare and complete attention to detail were so amazing. The heart necklace we also obtained will be worn always as a reminder of our beloved pet and family member. We cannot recommend your business and services highly enough - thank you.

We lost our hedgehog on Saturday night and I called around 11 expecting to get a voicemail but to my surprise a live person answered and was very nice and sympathetic. They informed me someone would call me back to arrange a time. And someone did call back within 20 minutes and told me I could bring him in the following day. Once there we spoke with the owner who was very nice. We brought Darcy in a box and they were nice enough to put him in a towel and blanket with his little head poking out so we could say our goodbyes. The next day we were able to pick him up and we got a very nice wood box, and rainbow trail card, a certificate of cremation, and some wildflowers to grow in memory of Darcy. This place handled everything so professional and were very gentle with Darcy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pet cremation.

We had our beloved Benny dog put down on the 23rd of September. Finally after calling multiple times and getting excuses after excuses they say he is ready. Today is Monday October 9th. I was told on the 23rd that it shouldn't be longer than a week until I can pick up his remains so this took way too long and I asked for a ink print of his nose, What I received you can't even make out what it is. Very disappointed

***Iโm going to give a little Update to this review.***West Coast Pet Memorial:Ever since ABFPC (A beloved Friends Pet Cematory) sold their business to a big corporation, the service has gone down.West Coast Pet Memorial only wants the money and doesnโt care about you or your pet, they wait 6 days 6.. they donโt cremate until DAY 6.(a small dog mind you) was sitting there for 6 whole days and I donโt get him back until day 7โฆ a whole week? I called almost every day asking if he was ready. I called today 5/18 and some lady goes โhe got cremated yesterday we will have him packaged by noonโ i understand about how there are other pets blah. Blah blah. ButThis is just plain disrespectful. Not to mention they also said โwell we donโt start the cremation until you payโ and I had to tell them I did pay the day I handed him over. And was also told if you donโt pay within a few days you need to go back to pick up your animal.Iโll forever be taking my business else where.I HIGHLY miss ABFPC. This company and corporation just is out for money and no compassion or care about the animals or grieving families.Review about ABFPC:I only use them when it comes to my pets (thereโs another pet crematory around town somewhere..) ABFPC employeeโs are so caring and considerate when it comes to handling your animals. They donโt rush you when it comes to picking out an urn, they donโt rush any questions you ask, they will let you use the quiet viewing room to say a finally goodbye- no rushing that either. They do a great job on the final paw print memory. You can tell that they only want whatโs best for your pet. Theyโve never turned away any of my pets, Iโve taken them a hedgehog, a chinchilla, and just recently a dog. They just accommodated with handling my hedgehog. They get you your pets cremations next day or even the same day at times. Iโm absolutely grateful to know my animals are being handled so well when they are in their care.

My cat crossed the rainbow bridge last night. He was picked up from the emergency vet this morning and I was able to pick up his remains this evening. They were quick and compassionate. We were allowed to come in and pick an urn. There is so much more variety than what they show on their website and there was no pressure to purchase any specific one or any at all. They transfered his ashes to the urn and went through all the details of what he was placed in the urn with. I requested they make clay and ink paw print. The clay print came out beautifully and I am very happy with it. I was pleasantly surprised that a variety of ink prints were made (different paws and colors) when I thought I would only get one print. The prints are on cards perfect for providing to a tattoo artist or framing.

Steve and Elaine are so amazing, helpful, and kind. We visited them before our pup, Maxie, passed and they walked us through the steps we would take after his death. They welcome walk-ins during their business hours and their "secretary", Peaches, will probably greet you at the door. We felt no pressure whatsoever from Steve to spend money on unnecessary items but he focused mainly on getting us the essentials. The procedure following Maxie's death was simple and quick; they were able to get his cremains back to us on the same day along with a few lovely gifts. We highly recommend taking your pet to A Beloved Friend. We feel that Maxie was treated with only respect and love from the staff here.

This company is so patient and compassionate with us. We couldn't wait to get our furbaby back and Paul Joiner was so kind when we asked a tons of questions on the process and ashes we got. Thank you for your big hearts and great service you provide to those in need..

I have recently had to utilize their services and am completely happy with the experience. I was treated well and I felt that my pet was treated with care and compassion. I took her in on Saturday immediately after she passed. On Monday, I received a phone message that she was ready to come home and needed a ride. Thank you very much for your service.

I unfortunately had to have my very large pet pig euthanized and didnโt know what to do with him after this process. After calling Beloved Friends and explaining my situation, the staff and owners did not hesitate to offer their services. He was so big that he had to be the only one in the oven for an entire day. The rate they charged me was more than acceptable. They have allowed me to take as much time as I needed to pay for it and have been more than understanding with my financial difficulties that have since arose. They have never once hounded me for money. Every single person Iโve talked to has been more than wonderful. They truly run a beautiful business. I really canโt say enough good things. I highly recommend to anyone that has to go through this difficult time and I will continue to use them in the future, without hesitation.

I've been using them for years and they are the only place I would trust with the after care of my babies. I lost my bird last night and called after-hours. I was able to speak to Elaine, who was, as always, so kind and compassionate. She was patient while I sobbed and made me feel so much better. Love these guys.

Our cat Lilly, passed away on a Sunday at 10:30 pm over a 3 day holiday weekend. After calling and getting a live person from their answering service who was very nice, Elaine called me back in less then 30 minutes. She was caring and answered all my questions. The next morning (Presidents day) I brought Lilly into their office and was treated very well by a young man that was very sympathetic and offered to let me have some time with her to say goodbye. After the young man took her away, Steve explained to me in detail what the next steps were in the process. All the while being very respectful and caring. They promised same day service (even over a holiday) and I was called again by Elaine the same afternoon that the cremation was completed. Exactly as promised. I meet again with Steve to pick up my cats remains and again he was the epitome of professionalism and caring. Its rare nowadays to find a good company that really cares about their clients. But to find such a group of people at a time like this was a true blessing.

Losing a pet is one of the hardest things to go through and West Coast made the process bearable. They are full of compassion and you can tell they really take pride in what they do. When I received my sweet Brynlee back everything was perfect. Her urn and paw print were beautifully wrapped. Thank you for everything <3

Thank you Elaine and Steve for your patience, your excellent service and for being there, the morning my little sixteen year old red heeler, Rose, passed. I was so thankful that you took us in, the same day.In the time it took for us to drive 210 miles from Bishop, California, to drop her off for the private cremation and to have her ashes in hand seventeen hours later, she would have been bagged in a freezer at the local vet, still awaiting transport to a facility. I didnโt want that for her.By the next morning as promised, her ashes were waiting in a lovely little box, engraved with text. Am so happy we found Beloved.

When we lost our baby girl, Penny Lane, we wanted a reputable crematory that would honor our wishes and take care of our little Yorkie. We searched and searched. We found that crematories would pick up a pet and cremate them with other dogs and give you a portion of the remains. We wanted our pet cremated my itself and with dignity and honor. We found "A Beloved Friends Per Crematory" in Reno, Nevada. We drove over the hill to Reno and took the tour. The place was clean and completely within code and health standards. After deciding to have our pet cremated there we went into the office and signed the papers and picked a urn for the remains. When we went into the crematory they placed our Penny on pillow with a blanket and showed us the procedure they would use. I was allowed to put my Penny in the crematory and actually start the process and I know that I have only my pets remains. They placed the remains in a beautiful urn in a maroon velvet cachet with the saying "I will see you on the other side of the rainbow bridge". This was over a year ago and I am crying as I write this. The owner of the business and his wife and dog were the kindest and most accommodating people we have ever done business with.We have a 16 year old Pomeranian and Yorkie pup that were allowed to witness and kiss their little sister goodbye. I would highly recommend this place if you want a respectful and memorable cremation for your pet. God bless this place and your pet!

Exceptional, compassionate service during a very difficult time for our family. Very timely and communicated exceptionally throughout the process. Though we did not partake in purchasing any, they carry a wonderful assortment of urns to keep your beloved friend's ashes in as well if you are not satisfied with the classy wooden box provided (we were). Hope to not have to use them again any time soon but I wouldn't hesitate to put your furry family members in their care.

8/16/2017One of the hardest things to experience is death and dying. It takes a compassionate individual or company to help you heal when you experience the loss of a beloved pet. My family is so very appreciative of their treatment of us as well as our Savanna. Her loss has left a huge hole in our hearts. When our beloved Savanna a 12+ Australian Shepherd passed we used Homeward Bound Veterinary Services to help with her passing. There services included taking our Savanna to Beloved Friends Crematory of Northern Nevada and the cremation. The vet informed us that they would call us and pick up the remains of Savanna. The voice on the end of the phone was kind, sensitive and compassionate. My husband and son went in to collect Savanna. They had put her inside a nice wood box with a nice velvet bag with "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge" embroidered on it. They were congenial, pleasant and very kind.We didn't have pet crematories when I was a kid. If you lived in the country the loss of a pet could be dealt with in a traumatic way. The death and burial could be very brutal indeed. I am so glad that my kids did not have to experience that. Thank you so much to those who own and work at Beloved Friends Pet Crematory for treating us with the utmost kindness and compassion.

How could you not give this company a 10. I met with Paul who was so kind and supportive. He talked me thru the whole process with compassion after losing my Cinco kitty after 19 years. The whole team is great!! Thank you West Coast for having him done so soon. I'm so happy with his box.

I have used ABFPC four times now over the years. They are kind and compassionate so that it's like you have a friend who picks up your beloved, they will prepare them for you and then put their ashes into the container of your choice and have a huge selection of beautiful options. I also had a plaque of marble made with the ferrets photo, name, dates engraved into it, I had paw prints taken on my dogs and their names put into them, I had a necklace with ashes done. So they have tons of options for you and when you are ready you go pick it up. When your pet is ready to pass, they come pick them up wherever they are at.

Hands down the best place to take your beloved animal to get cremated. I brought in my deceased bunny โbon bonโ to get cremated and this was my first time experiencing this so I was new to the process. I was led through how it works and was able to look at some of the memory keepsakes. I got my bunnyโs hand print and some of his hair. Iโm completely happy with this place. They do an amazing job.

Very professional and compassionate. We picked up our cat's urn yesterday. They also included a packet of wildflowers to plant in his memory.

We just want to say thank you to West coast pet memorial and manager Paul of the Reno location! When we heard a new company took over ill admit i was worried but after meeting Paul, getting to know him and see his compassion there were no more worries! This crematory was great before but now its even better which i never thought could happen! They kept the same staff, the packing changed which makes it more personal and not creepy, they redid the front office and plan on doing many great things! We have used them quite a few times already with the prior owners and now with Paul! We had 3 furry kids deaths in 6 months, Paul made the last two bearable by the care, concern, help, compassion and love he shown us!I will never trust my furry kids to anyone else because to me care to the body is important, being done right is important, peace of mind is everything and we have it here!Paul, Kristy and the rest of the staff we thank for the work you do, always making sure we get our babies back in a timely manner! We thank you for showing compassion to our deceased babies and handling them gently!Reno needed Paul, hes a business person and a people person, he takes time to talk and listen, its not just a job to him!We thank you for everything, losing a pet is hard, never did we expect to lose 3 in 6 months! You care is unmatched, we are thankful to all of you at the Reno location!I know its not a easy job but i know ill never have to worry or stress when it comes to our furry kids care!Thank you for having the heart to do this job, i give you a mlllion stars! You want expertise, professionalism, care, conpassion, the job done right?

Our beloved cat passed away and we ordered the paw prints from them that was also going to be used for a tatoo as our animal was apart of our family who we loved very much, we ordered the paw print on a Thursday and was told we would have it by the following Tuesday. 2 1/2 weeks later after hearing nothing about it we went to the vet to see if they got it in yet and to our surprise they could not find it, so we called the creamatory who told us they did not do the paw print because they miss labled our animal, they just said sorry our mistake nothing we can do about it and said they sent out an apology letter that we still haven't even recived yet. They didn't even have the courtesy to call us or to call the vets office to let them know. We our very best broken and disappointed

When I got home after picking up my Gracieโs ashes, I found the urn to be damaged/dented in 2 places, very disappointed with the care they gave to pet of 19 years. Donโt know if they put her ashes in a damaged urn or they damaged it after her ashes were put inside. I feel like they showed her no respect at all.

My precious little girl, Carmelite Therese Rose, died in my arms August 31st 2018. I just held her close to my heart and told her I love you over and over. Carmelite, needed to be buried with compassion, love, and dignity I found it at A Beloved Friends Pet Crematory. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Today I picked up her ashes at Moffets, in Fernley, NV. I know our beloved pets cross the Rainbowbridge way too soon, when they do I recommend A Beloved Friends Pet Crematory. Thank you for your kind and carrying support in my time of loss. Christina Davis
