Very professional and kind hearted <3 They went above and beyond for my sweet Komo! The second I walked in I knew my baby was in good hands. Such an amazing place to recommend in such unfortunate circumstances. Thank you to all the ladies for being so kind and caring through these hard times!!

First let me say, my office is in a very close in proximity to the Heart's Companion's location. I am able to view their day-to-day activities from my window. I have always been incredibly impressed with the utmost dignity & respect the staff displays. Never once have I witnessed anything which made me uncomfortable or uneasy. In fact, I've always had a sense of peace radiate upon me while being near the facility. Second, this week, my heart was shattered, & I had to say goodbye to my 13-year hold Boston Terrier, who has helped me raise & protect my children (I'm a single mom), survive & recover from an organ transplant, kept all my secrets & who was my loyal best friend. I knew immediately who to turn to assist me in helping him be put to the peaceful and loving rest he whole heartedly deserved. Sierra went above & beyond to comfort, console & reassure me through the process. But most importantly, I knew she and the rest of the staff would protect & love him while he was in their care. I had my lil guy back in less than 48 hours in an absolutely beautiful keepsake box. Not that this was of any concern, but I also felt the pricing of services was very reasonable. Thank you Sierra and staff - I have complete reassurance my baby was well taken care of at Heart's Companion.

The staff at Hearts Companion were so compassionate and kind when I had to have my 18 year old cat euthanized this week. Dr Brockus took ample time for the process and explained each step.

There is nothing easy about losing a pet but this company helped the process go as smoothly as possible. When I called to get pricing right after our pet passed, Sierra was incredibly gentle and understanding even though I was crying and hard to understand. The price was so reasonable that it lifted the stress of a sudden passing for us. What brought me to write a review was them including trimmings of our pet's hair with her remains when they were delivered. We didn't ask or think to ask but it means the world. I can't recommend them more. 😭❤️🌈

So grateful to the kindness shown to my pet and I when things were so hard. Sierra, in the office, could not have been more compassionate, helpful and so easy to work with. Dr. Green is truly an angel. She was so good with my boy and also so comforting to me. Her heart is full of compassion and made the experience so much better than it could have been. I wholeheartedly recommend Heart’s Companion and Dr. Green when having to go through the difficult task of letting go of a pet.

Absolutely amazing. Extremely compassionate while being professional and courteous. Didn't expect my daughter to get a handwritten letter from these folks with their condolences for her loss on top of the most excellent service they provided helping her furry friend find closure and rest. Absolutely recommend this place

The docs and staff at Heart's Companion are wonderful: they made an extremely sad and stressful day as comforting as could be possible. Sierra, who answered my call regarding the need to move up the scheduling for my Lab baby, was compassionate, and did so on very short notice. And...Dr. Ullrich could not have been more caring. Thank you to all!

Unfortunately I had to use this service yesterday! We had to put out baby down. From the first phone call to the veterinarians departure was a wonderful experience full of compassion and patience. Susan L. Brockus (veterinarian) was friendly and VERY compassionate. She took such care with Flash. They even called me to say he arrived “safe and sound.” I can’t express my appreciation enough for this service. RIP Flash

I have no words. I had been emailing Krista since last year preparing because I knew my baby's time was drawing near. Communication is too notch. Any questions I had- answered. Accommodations - met. Dr. Green was very patient with our family as we said goodbye. I appreciate the in home services. I wanted my boy to be as peaceful as he could be and he was. Most of my human family has passed on and I must say the compassion, empathy and overall care for not only my sweet boy but my family was next level. I didn't experience such compassion and care when my mother passed. So, when I say just how sweet all the staff were , you just can't imagine how blessed I feel to have found this place. I'm not sure if it's customary or not but the condolences note we received from Dr green just made me ball like a baby. Thank you again for all you do it takes a strong soul to be the arms that can carry the weak when we need it.

It was time for our beloved Bella to leave us and we decided for in home euthanasia. Dr. Susan Brockus came to our home. She was very compassionate and caring. She did not rush the process and let us decide when the time was right. She was so gentle with our girl and her passing seemed easy for Bella. We are grateful for Dr. Brockus very her caring and calm demeanor from the beginning to the end. All at Hearts Companion were very caring and helped us through the entire process. This is the second pet that Hearts Companion helped us with. We are very grateful to all. Our beloved Garin and Bella.

I would highly recommend them. Dr. Ulrich was fantastic. She was compassionate and caring. She made sure that we understood the process and took as much time as we needed. We couldn't be more pleased at the respect she showed our dog. It was a peaceful ending to our beloved pet. Initially, we spoke on the phone with Sierra, who was very patient and addressed all our concerns so we could make the best decision for our family. This was definitely it. We will use them for our other dog when the time comes.

Very professional and compassionate service at a very sad and vulnerable time. The staff at Heart's Companion and Dr Brockus (who came to my home) were very kind and caring. They make the experience of losing your beloved pet as gentle and caring as possible. They are understanding and kind, as you move through the process. My little dog passed on my lap gracefully and they treated him like he was a person. They communicated with me every step of the way. I will be using Heart's Companion again, when my other dogs' time on this planet is coming to an end.

Super nice and the best experience I've had for one of the worst things we have to do as animal owners. The whole process was smooth and i felt like they really took care of my dog once they had her body. I got the paw print and it's perfect to remember my beloved friend that I have lost.

We just had to send our 19 year-old kitty to the Rainbow Bridge and I couldn’t be happier that I chose Heart’s Companion to perform the euthanasia for us. Our little man was ready to go after suffering fromrenal failure and we don’t take our pets in to the vet’s office for this anymore as it’s so much less stressful for everyone involved, especially the animal, to do it in the comfort of our home. Dr. Brocus was AMAZING! So calm, caring and compassionate and so gentle with our cat. She was very thorough in explaining every part of the process to us ( even though this wasn’t our first rodeo) and our cat’s passing couldn’t have gone any easier or smoother. None of these situations are pleasant or comfortable but Dr. Brocus made it as easy for us and our little cat as anyone possibly could. We are forever grateful to her for that. I can’t really say that we’ve had any bad experiences with the other vet that has come out to take care of our other aged animals, but this time, with Heart’s Companion, was by far the easiest and the best.

When I called and asked if they had any cheaper rates for low income/homeless they hung up on me. No compassion once so ever. Never heard of charging for a communal cremation where you don't get anything from your fur baby. Absolutely would not tell anyone to use them.

There the best they picked up our Grizzy Bear at our home. He was cremated we got a necklace with his ashes inside and a beautiful box. ❤

I just wanna say thank you. They were understanding and supportive during this hard time for us. We lost our Blitz yesterday they told us it was 1 to 3 business days but then they called us today to pick him up. Super friendly staff . Definitely recommend them to family and friends . Thank again for taking such good care of our Blitz.

I'm definitely not impressed with the phone service I had with Hearts Companion this morning. The lady was super rude and didn't seem to give a care about customer service. What kind of business offers these services, has no doctors on staff and can't help? I've used them once before with our old pup, but when my buddy needs them now they are not available. It's like going to McDonald's just to find out they no cooks or food. My suggestion, close for the day if you can't do your job properly.

I recently had to make the decision to help my senior rescue chihuahua pass due to heart failure. From the very first call to the very last follow up card sent in the mail, Heart’s Companion and team have been amazing. The crematorium is so peaceful and serene, I know Bean was well taken care of and treated with dignity. He came home quickly in a beautiful wood box with his little paw print in ceramic and a bag of fur clippings. I have and will continue to highly recommend Heart’s Companion to anyone in need of helping their fur babies cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you Dr. B and Krista for making this hard time a little easier.

The entire staff at Heart's Companion understands the importance of helping a family through the tragedy of losing a fur baby. We have worked with them for a number of unexpected and expected losses and they have been the most caring, patient, and loving people to work with. Like with many, our pets are our family and they are treated with respect and kindness through the entire process. We are forever grateful for the love that they have shown us and our babies through our losses. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would. I highly recommend them for cremation and at-home services.

My experience with Hearts Companion, over all, was very grateful. They were compassionate & caring. That makes a TON of difference when you are so heartbroken & distraught. They are very thoughtful, as well, to preserve any last memories for you.

Lassen Veterinary Services has all our aftercare handled through Hearts Companion. We took our staff on a training so they could have a better understanding of the care Heart's Companion takes. This is an amazing business with the utmost respect for clients and their pets.

Thank you to Dr. Laffin and Krista, and the rest of Heart's companion for making my 16 year old cat's transition a peaceful one. I received his paw prints and ashes within 1 week. Thank you for your compassion, empathy, respect, and professionalism. Should I have to say goodbye to another beloved pet, I'll only go here.

I am highly delayed in posting this review, as I was unaware of an option to do so.Back in late June/early July of 2014, my beloved cat of 19 years was going downhill. I spoke with Monique when I called to make the appointment for Dr. Green to come out. I felt like I was handing my baby a death sentence, but Monique was very sympathetic and understanding my grief, and re-assured me in my decision. Much to my happiness, my sweet Baby bounced back and was perky again and eating, and gaining weight, so Monique joined in with me in celebrating the cancellation of the appointment.Unfortunately, that spike of health and good eating was temporary, as two weeks later, I needed to make the call again. I was crying so hard that Monique was having difficulty in understanding what I was saying, but she was very professional and listened with compassion.Appointment day, July 10, 2014, arrived. Dr. Green showed up at my apartment on time. Dr. Green was very professional, compassionate, and gentle. She allowed my sweet Baby to go the way we wanted her to, with Baby laying in my mom's lap, surrounded by love. I had run out of the room prior to the final injection, as I couldn't allow my last memory of Baby to be of her gone. Before leaving, Dr. Green offered me a chance to see Baby one last time, but I just couldn't.My mom handled everything with Heart's Companion in the following days. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful. They did a plaster of Baby's paw, along with providing me with a lace bag with her fur clippings. Per my request, they put Baby in a really nice urn with an engraved plate that bears her name, along with her dates of birth and passing. Even though my other babies were cremated by veterinarians, Heart's Companion went above and beyond to get their urns engraved, as well.I attended the grief support group, which was hard, as the emotions were still fresh. Afterall, I had Baby for 19 years. When I got there the first time, Katie showed me around, so that I can see what the process is and be rest-assured in that Baby was given the utmost respect while she was at their facility.Heart's Companion was recommended by Reno Hospital for Cats, and everybody on the staff was magnificent. I highly recommend them to anybody who has to make this decision for their babies.

For having a first experience with letting a long time friend go. This place made it a very peaceful and relaxing experience. From the moment I called them to make an appointment (the hardest part for me) to the moment I picked up my dogs remains, they were kind, loving, and understanding. It was a very peaceful way to say goodbye to my boy. Every person I encountered from this facility was heart warming and understanding. I don’t want to say it was “easy”, but they scheduled when I needed it, they gave me time to grieve and they make it as easy as possible for you and your pet so you can enjoy those last moments. I did not know what to expect, after I was relieved and thought it was such a peaceful way for my dog to go. My boy got to walk over the rainbow bridge in his favorite spot to sleep in our home.

For something so heartbreaking, the staff here does a wonderful job. I really would recommend them. The vet they sent to our house was very caring and patient and the actual procedure was very peaceful. It was much less stress then taking our cat in to the vet, instead she spent her last moments in her own home with her family.

Heart’s Companion assisted with the passing and cremation of my beloved first dog (Chlöe). They’re very professional, patient, kind and compassionate when it comes to walking you and your beloved pet through the process. I truly can’t say enough good things about working with them. I assumed that when my pet passed away it would be a horrible and dreaded scenario, but Heart’s Companion made the entire process an easy and seamless one. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

These people truly are angels from heaven. There comes a time when you have to make a decision to end your companions suffering, I've had to do it three times unfortunately. But without the help of Kathleen green and the people at heart's companion it would have been a much more difficult time in my life when I let my babies go. I've recommended these folks to many of my friends and family members. Their discretion, their empathy, and the their kindness goes a long way when you're having a very difficult time with your pet's death. And the manner in which they treat your animal when they are gone is so loving and respectful I can't even put it into words how wonderful these people are. Thank you so very much for your help and kindness in my time of loss.

In this trying and beyond difficult time, Dr Ullrich provided the ultimate comfort, peace, and love. She spent over 2 hours with us ensuring our sweet boy and we were as comfortable as possible. She was utterly patient with us, understanding, and informative. She went above and beyond. Her commitment to help our furry loved ones is remarkably incredible. Which also shows in her impressive and admirable expertise. Her compassion, kindness, knowledge and love are beyond our expectations. Sadly, we've been through this heartbeaking experience in the past. Dr Ulrich rised above everyone - way above. She genuinely cares about and loves all animals. That's why she offers this - she knows this help is necessary and wants our furry loved ones to be treated with dignity, compassion, and love during their their last hours with us. She makes sure our furry loved ones feel her love. And we felt it to -its heart felt, truly. She even had tears with us. We're amazed at her pure dedication to our furry loved ones and their people (parents, as our furry babies are our kids). Such a difficult heart wrenching job that Dr Ulrich handles with grace to ensure the most peaceful passing.Krista, who took our call and made all of the arrangements for us, is also stellar beyond words. We called so many times with questions. She consistently answered with kindness. Plus, we changed the appointment multiple times. She was extremely understanding, flexible, and accommodating. She continually told us that we weren't bothering her and to call her anytime. Krista's help and compassion were also extraordinary. We are deeply and utterly thankful for Krista. My family and I, of course, are also grateful beyond measure for Dr Ullrich. We'd give more stars if we could. We highly recommend Dr Ullrich and Hearts Companion.

Because I would never be able to put my dogs down at the vet, this was the best option. Dr. Greene was absolutely incredible taking things step by step for my 2 labs, Cedar and Henry, explaining everything to try to make things easier for us. They were put down with the utmost ease, compassion and with dignity. It was so peaceful for them which was of utmost concern for me. The crew from HC was then there to transport them both back to Hearts Companion for private cremation together. They were transported ever so gently, and comfortably on a pillow with blankets. Although it was a horribly hard decision to let them go, it was, and is a comforting thought to know that they went in peace, and at home.thank you

The most most caring and patient Dr. Deborah is amazing. She really took the time to explain everything and make sure we were ready for each step. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to guide us through this difficult time. What an incredible person.

Hearts Companion staff was caring and compassionate. Everyone I spoke to was helpful during this difficult time. Deborah Ullrich the vet that came to our house helped ease Kiara’s and our pain. I was deep in grief and sorrow when I lost Cosmo. Let's face it, I was in a dark place and we all get there sometimes. I can't say enough about how graceful and easy the staff at Heart's Companion were in meeting me at my level and lifting me up when I really needed a hand. Thank you!

If you have lost or are in the process of saying goodbye to one of your fur babies I highly recommend Hearts Companion. They are just simply amazing there in every way . So kind helpful and understand when it came to my loss of my beloved Gotti Boy. Everything they did to make the process of losing my 14 years worth of friendship was more than I could have asked for.... they made sure that everything I needed to show how much he meant to me was beyond met. They have anyway you may need personally to help in the grieving process available. The staff was friendly kind and professional. And the building itself and show room are just lovely !! Very classy establishment !! 5+☆s thank you all for everything!! Xoxo's

Called to get cremation price for my dog. The lady that answered the phone definitely doesn't like her job. When I told her I wanted to view cremation she got an attitude and said, well that's another $300 and we only do that on Monday. Now, we have to ask ourselves, why the attitude? I want the peace of mind that my dog is cremated, and not being sold off to a rendering facility. The first question they ask is how many pounds is your dog? They make a profit either way but sending them off to rendering facility is less work and more furbabies can come in the door. The best thing about this ladies attitude is, I looked elsewhere and found the most honest, caring, compassionate , respectful people I've ever met, who truly cares about you and your furbabies. So for that I thank her.West coast pet memorial/ formally known as A beloved friends pet crematory. From the first phone call to the time they give your furbaby back, you will feel the compassion and respect.

Very friendly and helpful. Helped me pick out a box for my baby girl Stella for her ashes. Made me a foot print and put some of her hair in a bag nicely done. Gave me her death citificate. She will be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.

The hardest decision we’ve ever had to make was handled with such love and care by Dr.Deb, she was so amazing with helping us with this transition. This is hands down the best way to go for pet euthanasia, so calm and peaceful and beautiful. Thank you to Heart’s Companion.

Amazing and compassionate, Dr. Ullrich assisted with the passing of our sweet 16-year-old Sadie girl today. In a crazy twist she also helped us 10 years ago in a different state with the passing of another fur baby she had helped to battle cancer. Thank you Dr. Ullrich and Heart’s Companion for providing a much needed service.

Very caring, understanding, patient, and compassionate. I only have good things to say about Hearts Companion. They went above and beyond to help assist with getting through an extremely hard experience.

Thank you guys so much for helping our family put our dog Cody down. We miss him so much and we still love him no matter what and we know that he misses us too and loves us still too. It is so heartbreaking that he is gone now up in heaven but we will still always remember Cody and we don’t know what we are going to do without him but he was really sick and he was in so much pain and we didn’t have a choice. Cody lived a long 12 years but it was time to say goodbye.Sincerely,Carly Gordon

These people are most excellent during a difficult time. The box complete with a little lock, some of his fur and a paw print plaque brought tears to my eyes but knowing he was taken care of in a loving manner helped a little. Thank you.

Gina Ruegsegger
My experience with Hearts Companion, over all, was very grateful. They were compassionate & caring. That makes a TON of difference when you are so heartbroken & distraught. They are very thoughtful, as well, to preserve any last memories for you.
Lassen Vet

Kendra McCullough

Amanda Sligar

Vickiegg
Many thanks to Dr. Ullrich. Our beautiful Sadie went to sleep peacefully. Dr. Ullrich was loving and kind. Our thanks to her for making this heart breaking time as smooth as possible.

Thank you for your compassionate care. Dr. Green made Lucy's passing as peaceful as it possibly could have been. I am forever grateful.

They were kind and helpful. They explained all the items that I can get as well as the urn. This helped as I was shown I can keep a piece of my dog through more then there ashes.

There just isn't any words in the English dictionary good enough to describe Hearts Companion. My princess died unexpectedly, and even though they were closed they sent their driver to come get my fur baby, they made this time in my life a little easier. They go all out with fur clippings and the pawprint is a must.So like i said there just are no words.Thank you.....RIP Callie Ely

Pricing is deceiving. Any service requires cremation so prices are $309 or $234 not the $59 paw print. Next time stop at Michaels and get plaster of paris and do your own paw print.

Thank you for making a difficult time a bit easier. I highly recommend the Heart’s Companion team & their services.

The staff was so helpful and compassionate. The vet that came to the house was wonderful. If you are at a place where you have to put your animal down this is the place to help
Patty Newbrough
Because I would never be able to put my dogs down at the vet, this was the best option. Dr. Greene was absolutely incredible taking things step by step for my 2 labs, Cedar and Henry, explaining everything to try to make things easier for us. They were put down with the utmost ease, compassion and with dignity. It was so peaceful for them which was of utmost concern for me. The crew from HC was then there to transport them both back to Hearts Companion for private cremation together. They were transported ever so gently, and comfortably on a pillow with blankets. Although it was a horribly hard decision to let them go, it was, and is a comforting thought to know that they went in peace, and at home.thank you
Noel Lanter
The most most caring and patient Dr. Deborah is amazing. She really took the time to explain everything and make sure we were ready for each step. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to guide us through this difficult time. What an incredible person.
Temple Fletcher
Hearts Companion staff was caring and compassionate. Everyone I spoke to was helpful during this difficult time. Deborah Ullrich the vet that came to our house helped ease Kiara’s and our pain. She and all the staff are genuinely caring and companionate people that are there for you and your pet every step of the way during such a difficult time. Temple and Steve Fletcher

I was deep in grief and sorrow when I lost Cosmo. Let's face it, I was in a dark place and we all get there sometimes. I can't say enough about how graceful and easy the staff at Heart's Companion were in meeting me at my level and lifting me up when I really needed a hand. Thank you!
Cristy Cook

Keet Mcalister
Very friendly and helpful. Helped me pick out a box for my baby girl Stella for her ashes. Made me a foot print and put some of her hair in a bag nicely done. Gave me her death citificate. She will be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
