It took me a while to be able to write this and for that I'm sorry but Hearltand gave me the most beautiful, beloved keepsakes I needed to mourn my best friend after his passing. He was available very quickly and got my cat done relatively quick. The process gave me peace of mind and I got not only ashes but fur and a paw print mold to keep with me forever. Thank you for bringing my friend to rest.

Our dog Lacy passed away the day of the blizzard. I called the next day and made plans for her to be picked up on Wednesday. Pickup was done very thoughtful and I knew she was in good hands. We picked her up today,perfect box for her remains. For a horrible situation, they made everything much easier to get thur. Would recommend 100%

My 6 year old cat suffered from a sudden and unexpected death due to an undetected genetic heart condition. In the shock and confusion following the medical and end of life decisions I had to make for a cat that had moments ago been entirely asymptomatic, it was nice to not have to worry about the logistics and instead begin to process the grief that came with saying goodbye. Heartland Pet Aquamation was able to make the process of scheduling his cremation simple, timely, and affordable. I knew that he would be treated with the same respect and care as he would if he had been buried.

I couldn't be more disappointed in the service that I have received. I was told I could track the progress, however, the status was never updated. Emails went unreturned. When I finally reached someone on the phone, I was told to come pick up my pets remains, they had been ready for awhile. So, I arrive to pick up my items and there is no paw print or swatch of hair, as I was expecting. Yeah, thanks for refunding that portion. The apology doesn't return my animals precious mementos. Super unorganized. So disappointing.

Left my boy on a tarp we had shared many adventures with instead of the scuzzy bed they had for him. They destroyed the tarp without notifying me, among other things. Take your beloved pet someplace that will treat them with respect and not this processing plant. Unless your really want the shitty overpriced wooden urn from India. My boy deserved better than this place gave.

Jarrod was very kind and allowed my husband and I to be with our cat of 17 years as long as we needed before we left him. Picking him up afterwards was also very compassionate. Our experience was pleasant, gentle and kind.

Jarrod was absolutely amazing with me. Very patient and kind and took amazing care of my fur baby. I have been a big mess and he was so understanding. I did the hair clippings and paw print as well and I will cherish them forever. I even brought a keepsake urn that I did not purchase through them and he was so kind and transferred her into it for me. I don't think I would have been able to go through this process without someone as patient as he was. I will definitely be referring any friends and family to this place from now on. The level of love a respect for my baby made going through this loss a little less hard. I am forever thankful.

I very unexpectedly lost my sweet little bear at the beginning of march, he was the light of my life and I was utterly distraught. When we took him in the owner was more than understanding even though I was a sobbing mess, he helped my mom figure out our best options and made me feel a little more at peace that my baby was in good hands. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to handle these kinds of things so if you’re on the fence about where to go I couldn’t recommend this place more. Jarrod made an unbearable situation a little more bearable and I am forever thankful for that! My heart goes out to him cause I know it’s not an easy job but it truly helps to know your lifelong buddy is being taken care of with respect and empathy!

Highly recommend Heartland Pet Aquamation when the need arises. Jared was so kind and compassionate throughout the entire process of handling the aftercare of my sweet Roxie. I called several days after I dropped her off with him frantic because I couldn’t find her favorite toy and blanket. He answered my call after hours and reassured me that they did still have these items and were able to salvage them. Thank you guys for everything.

Lacy was able to come back home in a reasonable amount of time ....... Losing a pet is losing a member of the family, and Jared treated us and our pet with so much respect. We felt as comfortable as one can in this situation leaving our pet’s remains to be handled with care. We received the remains in less than a week from our loss, and we really appreciate the attention, communication and care Jared took with us. Hopefully, we won’t be in need of these services again for a long time, but when we are we’ll be heading right back to Heartland.

This place was a surprise to me as I had not even known that this type of eco-friendly service existed. I lost my sweet Murray and was quite an emotional mess. I was treated with absolute kindness, patience, and understanding from my initial phone call, until I left Murray in their care. I have already been sharing the word about this establishment, their kind treatment of myself and Murray, and just the fact that this type of service is available in our city. Jared was very kind and very helpful to meet our needs, In this time of grief. He went over the procedure along with the benefits of aquamation. The mahogany box is beautiful, and he was able to put our two kitties together. My husband and I are incredibly thankful for Jared, giving us a little more time with our Fur babies, Before saying goodbye. I highly recommended this option, for anyone who has lost a fur baby.

Jarrod was so amazing throughout this process. My bunny passed away unexpectedly, late at night on a Sunday. We called Jarrod that night and he was readily available to schedule a time the next day. He was available by phone, text, and email, which made it so easy for me to contact him throughout the day while I was at work. The process of scheduling a drop-off for my sweet little chihuahua was so smooth and easy, especially when I was still in the midst of figuring out what time our vet was going to be able to come to our home to put her to sleep... Jarrod was patient and helpful throughout the entire process and was extremely quick in answering me which was so helpful during such a stressful time. HPA's website did a fantastic job of explaining what their process entails which made me feel comfortable going to them for the first time, and I felt especially better knowing the process is more eco-friendly. The pick-up went smoothly as well. I LOVE the small box that holds my dog's remains. I also loved being offered the pawprints so that I had something to go home with after dropping her off. It helped ease the pain of leaving her behind.I HIGHLY recommend utilizing Heartland Pet Aquamation's services.

Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with Heartland Pet Aquamation. We wanted to go with an alternative that was better for the environment when we unexpectedly lost our dog, and Heartland Pet Aquamation had great reviews and was roughly the same price as alternative options (cremation).The process of scheduling was okay, Jarrod was quick to respond and ended up meeting my husband fairly late in the evening because he was leaving the office when we called. We appreciated his flexibility. When my husband dropped off our dog, we had paid for the pawprints, and he completed those immediately, right in front of my husband, with floral foam. This is an interesting alternative to the clay option most places use, but I was disappointed her claws weren't trimmed prior to the imprint (not something we thought to do after she passed away as this had always been done with previous pets prior to the imprint), so our imprints are quite awful. Anyway...live and learn, we weren't too worried about that. The imprints do come in little plastic display box where you can put a picture, which is nice.Fast forward 11 days and we haven't heard anything. We followed up twice (once at 11 days and again at 14 days) and were told they were just "behind". At this point we were getting a little concerned that maybe we had been scammed (a weird scam, but who knows) and would not receive her remains back (you do pay up front). We finally got a call that our dog was ready 17 days after pickup, which wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't told turnaround was less than a week in the beginning. Again...not a big deal, but frustrating.The box she came in was very nice, however, we didn't receive anything back that we sent her with. She went with her blanket and collar (who thinks to remove these things when they've unexpectedly lost a pet?). We take responsibility for sending her with a blanket we wanted back, but are baffled that her collar was thrown out. Jarrod told us he looked through his *donation box* and couldn't find anything. I don't understand how this happened, a pet's collar is very sentimental for people when they lose a pet...we didn't think this would ever be an issue, but here we are. Jarrod told me he would check again when he was back at the office, but never followed up.Overall, we were underwhelmed from the start and ended extremely disappointed and sad that we will never get her collar back. My kids are especially sad.I don't think Jarrod has any ill intent, and is doing the best to his ability. But as, what appears to be, a one-man operation, he seems to be biting off way more than he can chew. He needs help so mistakes that can't be undone aren't made in the first place. Unfortunately, we won't be using Heartland Pet Aquamation again, but hope that others have a more positive experience than we did.

We're were very pleased with our experience with Heartland Pet Aquamation after our cat passed away. He passed away during the night on a Saturday/Sunday and Jared was very flexible and were able to bring him Sunday morning and got him back early the next week. Overall considering how hard it is to loose a pet it was a pleasant situation afterwards, very affordable and we will be using them for future pets, but hopefully not for a very long time 😥

This was my first time here when I had to put my Tommy down unexpectedly! Jared was great and everything was ok until I went to pick up his ashes and he didn't have the right ID tag, it had got switched in the system apparently! I was upset, of course, he said he was quite certain that's what happened! I just hope this is really my Tommy!

Im glad i have gotten my dog ashes back, but the one thing that I really wanted back was his blanket that I dropped him off in. That was his favorite blanket and now I can’t get it back. When I first dropped him off I wanted to take his blanket then, he asked if I wouldn’t mind leaving the blanket there so it’ll be easier to handle him. He was a bigger dog so I thought it would be fine. Although I said I specifically wanted that blanket back, I didn’t get it back when I picked up his ashes. He said it was probably too soiled and threw it away. He should have called and asked me if I wanted it thrown away or not. I am upset I didn’t get to have that last thing off his that he touched alive, the last he snuggled with. While he was looking for my blanket in the back, he was showing me them and I was shaking my head yes or no. While I was looking at them though they looked like they had been cleaned so now I’m wondering why mine wasn’t. It’s disappointing.

My grandma's dog was hit the day before Easter but Easter Sunday Jarrod contacted me instantly after I left a message. He was very kind and compassionate when talking to him. Answered all my questions and some considering it's been really hard losing my buddy. He worked with our schedule and even adjusted for a sooner time. I feel he went above and beyond for our family and loved one. This is my first time doing this wit a pet loved one but he made it very easy. I am very grateful and happy with the service we received from Jarrod. Definitely will recommend to others.

My dog passed away unexpectedly on a Sunday morning. I was beside myself not knowing what to do when I found this business. He was so wonderful to come to our home that evening giving us time to say goodbye. He took my dog's paw print and within the time frame he had given us, my sweet boy's ashes were returned to me in a beautiful cedar box. My only slightly negative comment is that I would prefer the paw prints had been made in plaster. They are in a type of foam that is kind of rust colored. It does have a frame around it with a place to put a picture so it's very nice. I just would have preferred a plaster print.

I was so glad my daughter shared information about Heartland Pet Aquamation with me. I never knew there was another type of cremation, and I think this is a wonderful choice. Jarrod is wonderful when it comes to communicating and/or answering your questions. He was very kind and patient. He took our sweet dog, laid him on a soft bed, and allowed us to spend time with him. It was so heartbreaking to say good-bye to our beloved Corky, and I am so glad that I chose Jarrod and his wonderful service.

Jared was most understanding when I called. I wasn't aware at first that he could pick up, but after calling him twice letting him know I just couldn't pick my dog up in the bed of my truck he offered & felt bad he didn't mention it at first. Now there's a fee just FYI. It took 2.5w as he said 3w to be expected. I was in no rush. I received a phone call that my dog was ready & I was pleased. Sad, but pleased. Thanks Jared!!

I dropped my beautiful doggo off two weeks ago, my 15 1/2 Chihuahua baby. Jarrod was so gentle with her, he got her paw prints for us. In a nice little photo frame box. I got her back yesterday, in a beautiful Cedar box. My husband picked her up, and the lady working was very professional, and explained to my husband how it is one screw holding the box together, if I would want to open, and showed the tag was the same as the one Jarrod placed on Tinkerbelle the day we dropped her off.

Jarrod is a great guy, he's very helpful and prices are very reasonable too. However that's besides the point, he is THE PERSON you would want to handle the passing of your pet. His personality shines. I also like all the various options you have from jewelry, to picture urns and other stylish options like wood printing, glass art, and even taxidermy options. I highly recommend his contemporary options and it supports local business as he branches out to other KC businesses.

Absolutely disappointed in the service I received from this company! I would rate 0 stars if I could. My pet passed in the beginning of May. Jarod told me that everything would be completed and RETURNED to me within a WEEK! I was patient and understanding and knew a service like this may take longer than a week, cool no issue! The issue was with the LACK OF COMMUNICATION he had with me. I was inquiring about additional items and it took DAYS to even receive a text. After finally getting a response from him he informed me that the “urn” was ready for pick up and we were just awaiting on additional items. I received a call from his colleague stating to me AGAIN the urn was ready however additional items were NOT! After 3 full weeks I was able to pick up my baby girl and take her home. Upon pick up i was very disappointed that Jarod did NOT fully explain what comes with the basic package. Highly disappointed and honestly would never recommend to a friend, coworkers nor family members. I at least felt like a discount should have been in order for the false advertisement of his initial quote of being a week! 🤬

I have taken 2 of my babies to Jared so far and he is INCREDIBLY caring. Not only is his business more environmentally friendly, you also get more of your pet back. He is very understanding and allows you to bring in your own urn/special container. Each time I have contacted him he has been able to take my pet immediately. He has a little pet bed they can rest on and he is very gentle and loving with them. Honestly he has helped me obtain a little more peace each time. It was easier for me know someone who actually cared was handling my babies. I very highly recommend for anyone suffering the loss of a fur/scaly family member.

Made the best of a horrible experience. Came out at 3am to pick up our beloved puppy so that the children didn't have to worry about what was going to happen to her for hours. Paw prints were phenomenal and done at the time of pickup so we weren't left completely without anything to hold. Good communication and waited on us to deal with the other pets that got sick to finish everything up. And finally, when a miscommunication took place about getting our pet home, he drove an extra 45 minutes in rush hour traffic because he wanted to make sure everything was okay. Would recommend to anyone who needs this service!

May I say how heartbreaking it was losing a pet. Jarrod was wonderful. I was able to bring my baby in on a Sunday afternoon. He was very sincere and made me feel at ease leaving our baby with him. I like the alternative method he has available for pet cremation. I definitely recommend using this alternative method, Jarrod and Heartland if you need to make arrangements for your fur-babies. We highly recommend Heartland Pet Aquamation. We hadn't thought through what we wanted to do when our German Shepherd died, and we were worried about the environmental impact of cremation. Very glad we went this route. Jared was kind and thoughtful, and the cedar box is beautiful.

I got Lilly at 6 weeks old when I was only 18, fresh out of high-school. She was my whole heart. Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with Heartland Pet Aquamation. We wanted to go with an alternative that was better for the environment when we unexpectedly lost our dog, and Heartland Pet Aquamation had great reviews and was roughly the same price as alternative options (cremation).The process of scheduling was okay, Jarrod was quick to respond and ended up meeting my husband fairly late in the evening because he was leaving the office when we called. We appreciated his flexibility. When my husband dropped off our dog, we had paid for the pawprints, and he completed those immediately, right in front of my husband, with floral foam. This is an interesting alternative to the clay option most places use, but I was disappointed her claws weren't trimmed prior to the imprint (not something we thought to do after she passed away as this had always been done with previous pets prior to the imprint), so our imprints are quite awful. Anyway...live and learn, we weren't too worried about that. The imprints do come in little plastic display box where you can put a picture, which is nice.Fast forward 11 days and we haven't heard anything. We followed up twice (once at 11 days and again at 14 days) and were told they were just "behind". At this point we were getting a little concerned that maybe we had been scammed (a weird scam, but who knows) and would not receive her remains back (you do pay up front). We finally got a call that our dog was ready 17 days after pickup, which wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't told turnaround was less than a week in the beginning. Again...not a big deal, but frustrating.The box she came in was very nice, however, we didn't receive anything back that we sent her with. She went with her blanket and collar (who thinks to remove these things when they've unexpectedly lost a pet?). We take responsibility for sending her with a blanket we wanted back, but are baffled that her collar was thrown out. Jarrod told us he looked through his *donation box* and couldn't find anything. I don't understand how this happened, a pet's collar is very sentimental for people when they lose a pet...we didn't think this would ever be an issue, but here we are. Jarrod told me he would check again when he was back at the office, but never followed up.Overall, we were underwhelmed from the start and ended extremely disappointed and sad that we will never get her collar back. My kids are especially sad.I don't think Jarrod has any ill intent, and is doing the best to his ability. But as, what appears to be, a one-man operation, he seems to be biting off way more than he can chew. He needs help so mistakes that can't be undone aren't made in the first place. Unfortunately, we won't be using Heartland Pet Aquamation again, but hope that others have a more positive experience than we did.

We're were very pleased with our experience with Heartland Pet Aquamation after our cat passed away. He passed away during the night on a Saturday/Sunday and Jared was very flexible and were able to bring him Sunday morning and got him back early the next week. Overall considering how hard it is to loose a pet it was a pleasant situation afterwards, very affordable and we will be using them for future pets, but hopefully not for a very long time 😥

I just picked my dear cat up a couple days ago, and I am very glad to have gone to Heartland Pet Aquamation. When my elderly cat Kalleigh passed away with us in the night, we were able to get a hold of Heartland immediately, even at night, to get her remains taken care of. I also ordered the paw prints, and he was very gentle with her as he got her prints. I know some people may think "She's already dead", but how we handle and respect the dead is important. She came back to us in this cute little wooden box. I would use them again for my hopefully not near future pet remains. :)

Jared was absolutely wonderful. Our 15 year old pit bull passed about a week ago and we brought him to Heartland where Jarad made us feel welcomed and very comfortable. I'm so very thankful for Jarrod for providing this option in KC. When I knew I was losing my cat I looked around for end-of-life options available. Having such a "green" option means a lot to me. His pricing is right on par with other options in the community. Our Great Dane puppy passed unexpectedly on a Sunday afternoon. Jared met us out at his location and helped us carry our 150lb baby into his facility. We decided on Heartland Pet Aquamation for our sweet bird after seeing the great reviews, however our experience was not a pleasant one. Communication from the beginning was not clear. I had to call multiple times to check on the pickup date. When given a final day, he forgot about my appointment and I had to wait outside as he admitted to forgetting about me picking up my bird’s remains. After receiving our birds remains and returning them to my younger daughter, we were horrified to see the bag of bones. When calling back to ask why the remains were not finer, we were told our bird was too small to be “grounded by hand”. This was definitely not the service I was expecting based on the website’s details about the aquamation process. We should’ve been told that the remains would be bones and not ash/dust. We are sad that this was the way our sweet Lola was handled.

The loss of a pet is always hard, especially when they have been with you for so long. Jarrod was so kind and gentle when we brought our beloved 'old man' to him. Losing my boy was really hard for me because he is all my two children know, as far as dogs go, and watching them go through this was very difficult for me, but Jarrod really respected the process of us grieving our loss and our 'final goodbyes'. We are extremely pleased with HPA as they were so kind and professional when dealing with the final details of our beloved cat's sudden death. Jarrod was very thorough with explaining the process in as much detail as we wished and lent a sympathetic ear as an excellent funeral director should do. He doesn't offer funerals at this time, but does have several urn options, paw print photo cases, and crematory jewelry for sale. The entire service was really affordable and his communication was always spot on always ready and willing to help. He is also taking the pandemic very seriously and following all protocols necessary to help keep everyone safe. We will definitely do business here again in the future, but hopefully not for a very long time.

Jared was great and everything was ok until I went to pick up his ashes and he didn't have the right ID tag, it had got switched in the system apparently! Im glad i have gotten my dog ashes back, but the one thing that I really wanted back was his blanket that I dropped him off in. That was his favorite blanket and now I can’t get it back. When I first dropped him off I wanted to take his blanket then, he asked if I wouldn’t mind leaving the blanket there so it’ll be easier to handle him. He was a bigger dog so I thought it would be fine. Although I said I specifically wanted that blanket back, I didn’t get it back when I picked up his ashes. He said it was probably too soiled and threw it away. He should have called and asked me if I wanted it thrown away or not. I am upset I didn’t get to have that last thing off his that he touched alive, the last he snuggled with. While he was looking for my blanket in the back, he was showing me them and I was shaking my head yes or no. While I was looking at them though they looked like they had been cleaned so now I’m wondering why mine wasn’t. It’s disappointing.

My grandma's dog was hit the day before Easter but Easter Sunday Jarrod contacted me instantly after I left a message. He was very kind and compassionate when talking to him. My dog passed away unexpectedly on a Sunday morning. I was beside myself not knowing what to do when I found this business. He was so wonderful to come to our home that evening giving us time to say goodbye. He took my dog's paw print and within the time frame he had given us, my sweet boy's ashes were returned to me in a beautiful cedar box. My only slightly negative comment is that I would prefer the paw prints had been made in plaster. They are in a type of foam that is kind of rust colored. It does have a frame around it with a place to put a picture so it's very nice. I just would have preferred a plaster print.

I was so glad my daughter shared information about Heartland Pet Aquamation with me. I never knew there was another type of cremation, and I think this is a wonderful choice. Jared was most understanding when I called. I wasn't aware at first that he could pick up, but after calling him twice letting him know I just couldn't pick my dog up in the bed of my truck he offered & felt bad he didn't mention it at first. Outstanding, compassionate service. Our beloved kitty died last week, and we brought him to Heartland Pet Aquamation for a greener alternative to traditional cremation. Jerrod, the owner, was professional, kind, and considerate. He took our cat’s paw prints and locks of hair while we were in his presence, so we witnessed they came from our kitty. He placed an identifying tag with our cat to assure chain of custody. The tag was attached to the cremains when we received them in a beautiful urn. Heartland has a choice selection of urns and other memorials through which to honor your family member. The whole process allowed us to respectfully say goodbye to our beloved companion, yet keep him with us. Jerrod was friendly, compassionate, and helpful throughout. We highly recommend Heartland Pet Aquamation.

Jarrod Hammond, owner and operator at Heartland Pet Aquamation was amazing to work with when we decided to use aquamation cremation for Emmy. He was so helpful in explaining the process. He made us feel at ease and helped us special order Emmy’s urn. He was patient and answered all of our questions with kindness and compassion. He’s available 24 hours a day. Our sweet Emmy passed away before 8 AM on Saturday morning. We called him at 8:30, and he was available to meet with us that very morning.His website was easy to find. It came up in my search for pet cremation near me. He has very detailed information about the process on his website. I love so many things about what he offers. He has urns available to see in person at his shop. He offers individual aquamation, which was very important to us. It is a more “green” and natural process that cremation by fire. Jarrod gave us a lock of Emmy’s fur, and for a very small additional cost, he gave us an impression of her paws in a case that holds a picture.His prices are affordable, and his service is incredible. My family had a small dog that passed suddenly and we decided to have her cremated. After searching for places we found Heartland and I loved that this was an eco-friendly alternative. All the reviews online stated how lovely the owner was and how pleasant of an experience it was. They were not wrong. He was kind and patient, he showed us all the equipment and explained how it works. He even answered our silly questions and made us laugh during the hard process of saying goodbye to our furry family member. We purchased memorial jewelry and he filled them for us and offered to help us with any other memorial jewelry or urns we bought in the future, even if it wasn't from him. I am so glad I was able to have my sweet boy, Brett, cremated by water, instead of the alternative. I have honestly never had a pet cremated before, as the thought of burning my sweet animals' bodies, has never felt right to me. I have always just buried them, and let their bodies become one with the earth. Unfortunately, I do not live in a place where I could bury Brett, and I wanted to have him memorialized in a few different ways as well. As I was researching different places that could do the types of memorials that I wanted, I was also reading up about cremation, when I came across something about water cremation. I instantly felt that I needed to find a place that performed that. It just feels like a much kinder, and gentler way of cremation. As I was looking for the perfect place to have Brett memorialized, I found a business called Oracle Natural Science. On top of feeling like they were the right match for me, I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that they work closely with Jarrod of Heartland Pet Aquamation. I was so happy to know that I was going to be able to have everything done just as I had hoped. Jarrod was great, prompt, and professional. He kept in touch to let me know when he was going to send my boy's ashes back, and sent me the tracking number, so I could be on the lookout. The package arrived safely, and the ashes are secured inside a nice wooden box. I am so happy that I came across Heartland Pet Aquamation. It really helped to put my mind at ease, and everyone I have told about water cremation, has been very intrigued. I am so grateful for this business, and so happy that I found it. I dropped my beautiful doggo off two weeks ago, my 15 1/2 Chihuahua baby. Jarrod was so gentle with her, he got her paw prints for us. In a nice little photo frame box. I got her back yesterday, in a beautiful Cedar box. My husband picked her up, and the lady working was very professional, and explained to my husband how it is one screw holding the box together, if I would want to open, and showed the tag was the same as the one Jarrod placed on Tinkerbelle the day we dropped her off.

Absolutely disappointed in the service I received from this company! I would rate 0 stars if I could. My pet passed in the beginning of May. Jarod told me that everything would be completed and RETURNED to me within a WEEK! I was patient and understanding and knew a service like this may take longer than a week, cool no issue! The issue was with the LACK OF COMMUNICATION he had with me. I was inquiring about additional items and it took DAYS to even receive a text. After finally getting a response from him he informed me that the “urn” was ready for pick up and we were just awaiting on additional items. I received a call from his colleague stating to me AGAIN the urn was ready however additional items were NOT! After 3 full weeks I was able to pick up my baby girl and take her home. Upon pick up i was very disappointed that Jarod did NOT fully explain what comes with the basic package. Highly disappointed and honestly would never recommend to a friend, coworkers nor family members. I at least felt like a discount should have been in order for the false advertisement of his initial quote of being a week! 🤬

I have taken 2 of my babies to Jared so far and he is INCREDIBLY caring. Not only is his business more environmentally friendly, you also get more of your pet back. He is very understanding and allows you to bring in your own urn/special container. Each time I have contacted him he has been able to take my pet immediately. He has a little pet bed they can rest on and he is very gentle and loving with them. Honestly he has helped me obtain a little more peace each time. It was easier for me know someone who actually cared was handling my babies. I very highly recommend for anyone suffering the loss of a fur/scaly family member.

Made the best of a horrible experience. Came out at 3am to pick up our beloved puppy so that the children didn't have to worry about what was going to happen to her for hours. Paw prints were phenomenal and done at the time of pickup so we weren't left completely without anything to hold. Good communication and waited on us to deal with the other pets that got sick to finish everything up. And finally, when a miscommunication took place about getting our pet home, he drove an extra 45 minutes in rush hour traffic because he wanted to make sure everything was okay. Would recommend to anyone who needs this service!

I am a counselor and I have been working with a client under complex grief; in the midst of healing, the client's beloved pet was tragically killed. I contacted Heartland Pet Aquamation on behalf of the client and spoke with Jarrod regarding his services. Within an hour of my call to Jarrod, the client's deceased pet was retrieved for Aquamation, paw memorials were constructed immediately, and delivered to the client that day. I was so impressed with Jarrod and his response to my client's crisis. His sensitivity toward my client, along with his immediate and clear communication was simply stellar. I traveled from Minneapolis to aqua-cremate my sweet pit bull, and I’m so glad that I did. I tried to raise her as organically and holistically as possible, and Heartland Pet Aquamation was the perfect fit for this final step in saying goodbye. I took comfort in that it is a gentler process for my dog while also not contributing toxins to the environment that traditional cremation does. But what I loved most was that I was able to pick her up so quickly. In the past, I have had to wait a week or more for my dogs’ ashes and that was torture. The fact that my dogs were being burned was torture. This experience was the exact opposite - it was peaceful and gentle and I felt good about the process. Thank you for that!

Our Great Dane puppy passed unexpectedly on a Sunday afternoon. Jared met us out at his location and helped us carry our 150lb baby into his facility. We decided on Heartland Pet Aquamation for our sweet bird after seeing the great reviews, however our experience was not a pleasant one. Communication from the beginning was not clear. I had to call multiple times to check on the pickup date. When given a final day, he forgot about my appointment and I had to wait outside as he admitted to forgetting about me picking up my bird’s remains. After receiving our birds remains and returning them to my younger daughter, we were horrified to see the bag of bones. When calling back to ask why the remains were not finer, we were told our bird was too small to be “grounded by hand”. This was definitely not the service I was expecting based on the website’s details about the aquamation process. We should’ve been told that the remains would be bones and not ash/dust. We are sad that this was the way our sweet Lola was handled.

The loss of a pet is always hard, especially when they have been with you for so long. Jarrod was so kind and gentle when we brought our beloved 'old man' to him. Losing my boy was really hard for me because he is all my two children know, as far as dogs go, and watching them go through this was very difficult for me, but Jarrod really respected the process of us grieving our loss and our 'final goodbyes'. We are extremely pleased with HPA as they were so kind and professional when dealing with the final details of our beloved cat's sudden death. Jarrod was very thorough with explaining the process in as much detail as we wished and lent a sympathetic ear as an excellent funeral director should do. He doesn't offer funerals at this time, but does have several urn options, paw print photo cases, and crematory jewelry for sale. The entire service was really affordable and his communication was always spot on always ready and willing to help. He is also taking the pandemic very seriously and following all protocols necessary to help keep everyone safe. We will definitely do business here again in the future, but hopefully not for a very long time.

Compassionate business owner and wonderful experience during such a hard time. We had to let my service animal go after months of trying to beat bone cancer. Unfortunately it reached her spine in the end and she could not walk, so we chose to let her pass on at home. HPA came out to get her, which was a welcome relief because there is no way anyone here would have been able to do that. It did not take long to get her remains and they came in a beautiful, handcrafted wooden box. We plan on returning later for more memorabilia once our hearts can handle it a bit better. When you lose your friend all of a sudden on a weekend it’s hard to find a place that will guide you through the next step. I found Heartland Pet Aquamation because it was the only place open but it became the best alternative to traditional cremation that pollutes the earth. The price is on the same level as traditional and we still were able to order a paw print impression. The remains we received were almost as heavy as when our B was still around. I’ll get to spread him in his two favorite places and still have enough to carry a piece of him with me everywhere.

Outstanding, compassionate service. Our beloved kitty died last week, and we brought him to Heartland Pet Aquamation for a greener alternative to traditional cremation. Jerrod, the owner, was professional, kind, and considerate. He took our cat’s paw prints and locks of hair while we were in his presence, so we witnessed they came from our kitty. He placed an identifying tag with our cat to assure chain of custody. The tag was attached to the cremains when we received them in a beautiful urn. Heartland has a choice selection of urns and other memorials through which to honor your family member. The whole process allowed us to respectfully say goodbye to our beloved companion, yet keep him with us. Jerrod was friendly, compassionate, and helpful throughout. Jarrod Hammond, owner and operator at Heartland Pet Aquamation was amazing to work with when we decided to use aquamation cremation for Emmy. He was so helpful in explaining the process. He made us feel at ease and helped us special order Emmy’s urn. He was patient and answered all of our questions with kindness and compassion. He’s available 24 hours a day. Our sweet Emmy passed away before 8 AM on Saturday morning. We called him at 8:30, and he was available to meet with us that very morning.His website was easy to find. It came up in my search for pet cremation near me. He has very detailed information about the process on his website. I love so many things about what he offers. He has urns available to see in person at his shop. He offers individual aquamation, which was very important to us. It is a more “green” and natural process that cremation by fire. Jarrod gave us a lock of Emmy’s fur, and for a very small additional cost, he gave us an impression of her paws in a case that holds a picture.His prices are affordable, and his service is incredible. My family had a small dog that passed suddenly and we decided to have her cremated. After searching for places we found Heartland and I loved that this was an eco-friendly alternative. All the reviews online stated how lovely the owner was and how pleasant of an experience it was. They were not wrong. He was kind and patient, he showed us all the equipment and explained how it works. He even answered our silly questions and made us laugh during the hard process of saying goodbye to our furry family member. We purchased memorial jewelry and he filled them for us and offered to help us with any other memorial jewelry or urns we bought in the future, even if it wasn't from him. I am so glad I was able to have my sweet boy, Brett, cremated by water, instead of the alternative. I have honestly never had a pet cremated before, as the thought of burning my sweet animals' bodies, has never felt right to me. I have always just buried them, and let their bodies become one with the earth. Unfortunately, I do not live in a place where I could bury Brett, and I wanted to have him memorialized in a few different ways as well. As I was researching different places that could do the types of memorials that I wanted, I was also reading up about cremation, when I came across something about water cremation. I instantly felt that I needed to find a place that performed that. It just feels like a much kinder, and gentler way of cremation. As I was looking for the perfect place to have Brett memorialized, I found a business called Oracle Natural Science. On top of feeling like they were the right match for me, I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that they work closely with Jarrod of Heartland Pet Aquamation. I was so happy to know that I was going to be able to have everything done just as I had hoped. Jarrod was great, prompt, and professional. He kept in touch to let me know when he was going to send my boy's ashes back, and sent me the tracking number, so I could be on the lookout. The package arrived safely, and the ashes are secured inside a nice wooden box. I am so happy that I came across Heartland Pet Aquamation. I had a pet who died unexpectedly in front of me and i panicked, i didn't know what to do. I thought it would be a good idea to put my pet in a giant flower pot and seal it with cement; that didn't work. I am a counselor and I have been working with a client under complex grief; in the midst of healing, the client's beloved pet was tragically killed. I contacted Heartland Pet Aquamation on behalf of the client and spoke with Jarrod regarding his services. Within an hour of my call to Jarrod, the client's deceased pet was retrieved for Aquamation, paw memorials were constructed immediately, and delivered to the client that day. I traveled from Minneapolis to aqua-cremate my sweet pit bull, and I’m so glad that I did. I tried to raise her as organically and holistically as possible, and Heartland Pet Aquamation was the perfect fit for this final step in saying goodbye. I took comfort in that it is a gentler process for my dog while also not contributing toxins to the environment that traditional cremation does. But what I loved most was that I was able to pick her up so quickly. In the past, I have had to wait a week or more for my dogs’ ashes and that was torture. The fact that my dogs were being burned was torture. This experience was the exact opposite - it was peaceful and gentle and I felt good about the process. Thank you for that!

I would strongly recommend this place. Jarrod answered all my questions, explained the process and was waiting for me when I arrived. Losing a pet is a terrible experience but knowing that this is a better/eco-friendly and less expensive method of taking care of the remains makes a sad situation a little better.

I had a pet who died unexpectedly in front of me and i panicked, i didn't know what to do. I thought it would be a good idea to put my pet in a giant flower pot and seal it with cement; that didn't work. Jared came over quickly after we called and hauled the heavy flower pot out of our house with no complaints. I really appreciated this, since it was a hard time for me. I highly recommend this place. They were so helpful and nice. My family dog TURK past and he met me the same day to get him cremated. There variety of urns was amazing you can even get necklaces and bracelet to have ashes put in. It was easy to order the urn and my daughter got a necklace with some of his ashes in it. They will get my business again. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT SERVICE.

We are out of town and have a pet sitter at our home knowing we had an old dog that has been going down hill , Jarrod went out of his way to comfort our sitter and pick up our dog that passed away this morning (on a Sunday morning) stayed in close contact with me letting us know that he had taken care of everything even left us his paw print and collar , so very thankful to have found him and to make this process easier for us and our sitter.

Our cat passed away after 13 years with us and he was so compassionate. My kids and I are bawling our eyes out and he answer all of our questions and took the time to really show that he cares about animals. I would highly recommend him for anybody that once their pet taken care of once they pass.

Their 24 hr availability was huge for us. Our beloved dog passed away quietly at home at 9pm. Within 1 hr I was able to take her They were very kind and professional. The paw print memorial kit was a nice touch as well.

What wonderful service to have in a time of need. And have an eco-friendly, sustainable option has helped our hearts. Our dog passed away unexpectedly and they were able to come and pick him up, help us with the whole process and answered all of our questions. Even though we weren't in our right mind with our greif at the time we were never made to feel bad. I'm sad that this service is needed but if you do need it you won't find a better place.

Our very large Bloodhound passed just before the 4th of July holiday weekend. Jarrod at Heartland was not only accommodating to our after hours need, but also very kind and understanding. He took time to put us at ease and helped us to understand the process. Giving us the paw imprint was a nice touch - and it will be a cherished memento. We cannot recommend him high enough.
