We vet at Evan's Family Pet Care in Marshall, and have lost a number of pets and had them Cremated lately it was our sweet Lily of 15 years. Midwest Cremation has done a great job of getting our pets picked up from our vet and returned really quick. The wooden urn box is great along with the engraved name plate. Thanks for doing a wonderful job.

Never met the staff, but they did taking care of GiGi our senior dog well, even in this hard time of Covid-19. GIGi had Lyme positive and we gave her final 3 years in her life. She was a happy dog. Thank you Midwest Cremation Service.

Long overdue review here...... had my beloved horse cremated here in 2016....expensive, but worth it. I wish i remembered the gentlemen's name who came to pick.him up. He was so kind and professional. Really went out of his way to make me feel better after losing my beloved Casper who was with my for 26yrs. When the cremation was complete, he was delivered in a wooden box with a name plate, picture frame and sympathy card. I highly recommend this place

My 15 y/o beloved dog/best friend was cremated here at Midwest Cremation Service early April 2024. He was “Mama’s Baby,” turned “Good Old Boy,” seemingly overnight & was the best of us. He was fiercely loved & we played with him every day of his life. I was glad it only took a week to get his ashes back.(We had no idea what to expect with our dog’s cremation because we received our 2 cats’ ashes in just a plastic baggie from a totally different business in the twin cities a few years ago.)I walked into the vet office to pick up my dog’s ashes from you/Midwest Cremation Service & was handed a nice quality navy blue bag with soft gray handles. This outer bag had a thick paper tag with his name & barcode. I took it to my truck & peeked inside. Inside the bag was yet another bag, this time a dark blue velvet drawstring bag. Just the sight of that made me cry because it was so nice. I missed my boy so much & hated being without him for a week. I had to be able to see (through any tears) to drive home, so I waited to open the velvet bag. Once home I was amazed at what care they showed my dog & our family. An absolutely beautiful smooth wooden box with his name plate you can choose to stick anywhere on the box. The bottom of the box has a sticker showing his name & barcode so you’re assured everything stayed together through their process.A nice card, certificate with name, & a pet grief brochure was also much appreciated. Thank you for caring enough to help our family take our beloved family member home so beautifully & respectfully. We’re forever grateful. <3

Every person I dealt with couldn't have been more kind from the first phone call to picking up my horses ashes. When the driver arrived to pick her up from the farm I was sitting on the ground next to her in the sunlight and he asked if I needed more time with her which I thought was very kind. Just a good experience overall and I will recommend their services to anyone who asks about my experience. Thank you very much.

We lost our beloved Kalu last week and he was cremated yesterday at Midwest Cremation Services of MN. The respect, care and love they provided Kalu and myself was unmatched. I was supported in the most amazing manner at all times by the two team members that helped with the cremation. I am so grateful and amazed at the level of support, care and love they provided and the respect they had for Kalu and our grief. I am grateful for ever.

I finally went in to get the cremains for my Jack Russel Louisa . I am thoroughly pleased with the presentation in a beautiful little urn and her paw print. Happy to have her home again even though she crossed the bridge. A few years ago I had a horse put to rest by the Veterinarian had Midwest lined up to transport Hunter to their facility. Midwest was superb in their service for Hunter. His cremains were placed in a beautiful box. I would highly recommend having Midwest help you when the time comes for your horse or dog.

Extremely disappointed with the pricing. Feels like a complete scam to charge $57 for a clay paw that you don’t even personalize with the pets name. For context, I work at a vet clinic and we only charge $12.50 for our clay paws AND they’re personalized. And to charge $27 for a fur clipping?! From MY OWN cat? Why are you taking advantage of devastated pet parents? I will never recommend this place to any pet parents, in fact I will tell them to avoid you like the plague. Sick and twisted how you up-charge grieving families.

We had our cat cremated, was called that she was ready for pickup and picked her up on Monday. On Friday of that week MCS called to state our cat was ready for pickup. While on the phone call, she did confirm that it was our cat (by UPC) was picked up, but it certainly made us feel like maybe we did not receive our girl back and stirred lots of questions and emotions.

I cannot share enough the comfort we found in Midwest Cremation Services. We had originally decided on another crematorium but had a bad interaction with them the day of our dogs passing. MCS was able to accommodate our large dog for a private cremation last minute. Not only did they get us in the staff was great, gave us time to say goodbye again and again and helped through everything. We waited there during the entire process and one team member came out on their lunch and asked if he could join us for a few minutes. He was so nice, told us stories about his dog he lost years ago and made us a little happy in a hard situation. Loosing a dog that your kids grew up with and has to go quick is not easy but the staff at MCS were terrific and I know this choice is hard but I highly recommend MCS.

We had our son (dog) Leo cremated here. We lost him in April of this year. It did not take them long to get his ashes back to us. It was hard losing him but we were so happy to have him back with us so quickly. Thank you very much…

Yesterday I picked up the cremains of my cat, Max. I was handed a lovely blue bag, and when I arrived home I began unpacking the contents. Never before in my many years of being an animal lover/owner have I seen the remains of one of my pets handled with such extreme dignity and respect. While losing a pet is so painful, the contents of this little bag helped ease the loss. From the terra cotta paw print of my Max to the informative brochures about grief and loss, Midwest Cremation Services seemed to anticipate my needs. I will recommend this wonderful service when ever I can. Be well, happy and peaceful....

We just said our goodbyes to our beloved Saint Bernard, Remington a few days ago at Heritage Pet Hospital in Rochester. It’s EXTREMELY painful with him not being here anymore, as so was loosing our other Saint on Christmas night Heidi, over a year ago. Midwest handled our Heidi as well and were impressed with their services, hence Remington is now following in her paw prints.One can only trust and put faith in what one says and actually does behind the scenes and we trust MCS with our MOST valued family members once again to this day. Very disappointed. Unfortunately forced to decide to keep ashes last week at Cottage Grove Vet. After speaking with pet owner (in Australia) a day and half after pet passed, we want some of its ashes from bulk creamation. They were very uncooperative, no explanation as to where ashes were, and unsympathetic to our request.

Unfortunately the second time that I have had to use their services. Prices way below what your regular veterinarian will charge. Just need to be willing to drive to Nowthen twice if you want the ashes back. Staff is friendly and compassionate. They understand the grief we are going through.Lots of additional products are available to purchase. The basic ashes back cremation comes with a very nice wooden urn.

Just wanted to say thank you to the staff. My best friend, caregiver, and soulmate passed away unexpectedly Dec 11. My family and I were devastated. Our Labernard Hoagie, has been by my side for 11 years, been through many of life’s curveballs and he has helped us through them all. When he passed, your services were recommended when we couldn’t even think clearly. Something inside me a said “trust them” as I needed to have Hoagies (and Hoagies alone) ashes back to us.Your professionalism, timely return of his remains, and more importantly, the card, grieving literature, and overall presentation was honorable for a family companion.Thank you so much. After our 3 yo cockapoo Oliver passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, MCS in Anoka was who we turned to for a private cremation of our beloved pet. They did a wonderful job in ensuring that we received our dogs remains accurately and quickly. The friendship box was very well constructed and beautifully finished. I would highly recommend MCS for your cremation needs.

Before the fire, I drove 2 hours from Southern Minnesota I was treated with respect and comfort when I arrived. Everyone on the staff was very nice and professional, it is a shame that the building was destroyed, I hope you will rebuild and help others in there time of loss!
