I cannot thank the kind, caring, and capable staff at Nie Family Funeral Home (Liberty Rd. Chapel) enough for helping us through an experience that we were unprepared to manage, emotionally or logistically. We came in devastated and unaware of all the detailed decisions we needed to make, but the staff was comforting and put us at our ease as much as possible as they gently lead us through the decision process.We never felt pressured or rushed. We felt that explanations of the things that needed to be accomplished - and things that were optional - were given clearly, taking the time to answer our numerous questions. We knew what various options meant, and what they would cost, before we made our decisions. All the while, we felt treated with compassion, respect, and understanding. They were open to our wishes for a simple, perhaps unconventional memorial celebration. Some of our friends and family commented that it was the nicest event of that nature they'd ever attended.The facilities and decor are pleasant. There is a nice area in the back where we could refresh ourselves as neeeded during the visitation.Among the outstanding staff who helped us were Lisa, Monica, and Michelle, but there were others whose names I unfortunately cannot recall who were just as gracious and helpful; all the staff were great. We were very grateful.

Beautiful place with thoughtful amenities. The staff were kind and explained the process clearly from one step to the next. The deceased had elected his arrangements a year before his passing and the execution was seamless. They were patient with our process and did a good job at respecting the body all the way through including the mechanics of lowering the body in the ground. We couldn't have asked for better in a time like this. Thank you.

We found the staff at Nie to be very friendly, sympathetic and easy to work with. Our only complaint was that we had to transport the flower arrangements from Nie to the church. This had not been our previous experience with Nie and would have been very difficult if we didn’t have a van and suv.

Our situation with the passing of my mother involved coordination with another funeral home out of state. Lisa was exceptional in her attention to detail. She was sensitive and kind in her approach. We would highly recommend Nie.

My husband and I had a stillborn Sep 2017. Nie funeral home coordinate with the hospital for our sons cremation. They where so sweet to my husband and I. I know our son was well taken care of. They made this heart breaking experience a little easier for us. We appreciate you guys so much!

Terrible! So unprofessional. I attended a memorial this past Saturday here and Instead of alleviating some of the pain this young man's family was experiencing by providing a thoughtful well-done memorial honoring their son, brother & father, Nie's Funeral Home piled more layers of pain and frustration on top of this family. The slide show had photos of strangers in it including what looked like a mug shot of some random person. The three songs the family choose to share during the memorial sounded horrible, like they didn't know how to use the sound system. Digital Slide shows and playing music through a speaker system is NOT new technology. These are basic IT skills that all funeral homes should have mastered by now. The staff responsible for that ceremony should be ashamed of the service they provided

We have always had wonderful experiences here over the years for our loved ones that have passed. Unfortunately, THEY ordered my jewelry incorrectly even after circling it in front of an employee. I reached out about the issue and they’re willingto add to what I have, not order what I picked out and chose. I’m super disappointed that they failed to order it correctly and failed to fix their own mistakes. After already having spent the money for the first necklace, it’s not something I’m willing to chance again with them. I would suggest purchasing jewelry in rememberance of your loved ones through someone else so you get exactly what you chose and not what was ordered by mistake.

They handled my father's funeral in July of 2015 after C&H Funeral Home and Ypsilanti screwed everything up. They fixed their mistakes and they were there for us in our time of bereavement. I highly recommend them. They helped to make a stressful and heartbreaking process more bearable.

We had a very nice experience at the most terrible time in our life. Kiki, Melissa and Monica we very helpful, kind and understanding. We felt like they truly cared. They made a difficult process as easy and pleasant as possible.

A heartfelt thanks to the entire staff that helped my family. Their individual and collective contributions gave me peace of mind, as I was mourning the loss of my dad. I wanted to add, that they checked up on me and provided resources to get help for grieving.

I too was at the Saturday memorial that was just reviewed by another and could not of said it any better!!!! So unprofessional. The family ended up with roughly 150 of the tribute programs that where not being refilled that so many of us would of loved to of had, is just unbelievable and unacceptable. My heart goes out to the family.

Our first experience with them was wonderful but three years ago it was totally different.Six years ago there was a total different staffWhen our son passed away 3 years ago it was a nice ghtmare from the very first moment.
