Customer Reviews Summary
Forget Me Not Pet Crematory is known for compassionate service and respectful handling of pets. Reviews praise staff kindness, quick ash returns, and thoughtful memorials. However, there are concerns about miscommunication, pet identification errors, and unclear pricing after management changes.

Our chinchilla passed away while visiting family in MA on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Forget me not was the closest place that was open/that we could get in touch with that morning and they were wonderful. They took great care of my sweet girl and the staff was so kind and understanding.

My cat died unexpectedly back in August of 2024. The vet I brought his body to sent him automatically to Forget Me Not. When they reached out to me I realized they had my cats name wrong. Initially I corrected them over the phone and spelled it out for them as it's an uncommon name (his name is Garrus). I sent an email with the correct spelling after finding out the cost of cremation inquiring after a payment plan and was informed they do not offer them. After this I received several more emails all with the correct spelling and the incorrect spelling in parentheses. In a phone call with them where they gave me a final offer I informed them again of his correct spelling and they told me they updated it in their system. They also were nice enough to give me time to come up with the funds. When I finally did I asked that his urn not be personalized due to the frequent misspelling of his name I did not want that memorialized. They asked if I wanted a paw print and I said I did. Not realizing this would be personalized. 3 days later I received his remains. At this point it was February of 2025 and I was very happy and excited to finally have him back. When I opened the package I saw that they had his name wrong all over it in stickers. No problem. Stickers can be removed. Then I opened the paw print and stamped into the clay is the name Darrus. That is not his name. Because it is stamped there is no way to remove it and because Garrus is dead and burned I cannot ever get another paw print. This was a hard enough loss due to how sudden his death was now made harder knowing his paw print will have the wrong name on it forever.

I have used Forget-Me-Not Services for both of my dogs: Bella (2022) and Gracie (24). The respect for my dogs was paramount from tracking from time of their passing at home to the time I picked.up their remains and paw prints. Services were exceptional and I was very confident in their process. The need for their services is greatly appreciated and I would recommend them highly for when the time comes for your pet child. I lost my beloved Max on January 26, this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. They treated him with dignity and care. Everything was so beautiful I couldn’t have been happier.

I have had nothing but a great experience with forget me not. They are kind compassionate and prompt. Over 30 years they have taken care of 3 of my dogs and now I am faced with yet the decision to put another one down. The ashes have been returned to me quickly and my dogs are home for now. They will all join me one day when I pass and we will be spread at our favorite spots. My heart is broken once again and soon in the near future I will adopt or purchase another service dog. The heart break I feel for each and everyone of my boys is always with me. How ever the love the loyalty and all the great memories is well worth the hear ache. Hank Williams once said when I die I want to go were the animals go, who knows one day I may meet Hank Williams. God speed to all that have been lost. And thank you forget me not for your compassionate and heartfelt Sevice.

I came here because my kitty passed away last week. Her name was Gary and she was the best girl I could’ve ever asked for. The process was so quick(3 days) and the people there were the absolute sweetest!! I came there crying and left there with a smile on my face, because I knew my baby was going to be in good hands. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone whose fur baby has entered the rainbow bridge. <3

Our 10 month old kitten, Tito, passed away on April 23rd, and our vet talked to us about forget me not. She couldn’t have referred me to a better place…not only they let me see my kitten before he was cremated, but they also had a SIGN you guys that said “welcome family of Tito” in front of the room where they had him nicely put for us. That for me, was a sign that this place REALLY cares about families, and their pets. I didn’t feel rushed at all during the visit, and they also clipped some hair for me after I asked. 100% recommended. They definitely treat pets here with dignity and respect.

When our very special guinea pig passed away, Forget Me Not was exceptionally kind and understanding. The man I spoke with was very gentle, and very patient with me. I had asked for an impression of all 4 of Ruby’s feet. Typically they only do one, but they found a way to get all her feet in the clay, and that made all the difference for me. In such a devastating time, it’s nice to have a reminder of Ruby. Thank you Forget Me Not, for all you did for us.

I want to say Thank you all so much!! Everything is so beautiful and beautifully put together.. The staff was so amazing to talking with me on the phone and responding to me emails about questions, I’ve had a difficult time processing the passing of my girl. My beloved Kiana was suppose to be shipped home on the 4th of May. Sarah said she will get her home earlier to me by the 27th of April.. Today is April 26th and my baby girl is home with her family.. Maya sent me an email on 25th with tracking that she would home over night.. Both woman sent their condolences and how sorry with all. Even though I live in upstate Ny they handled everything.. Shipping was top notch with the packaging. I mean everything they have done shows they care and are truly here for families in time of need.. Thank you all again we can’t thank you enough for everything..

Long review but I want people to know that there are options even with Covid that your family member can be with you at home when it's time to go to Heaven.Huge thank you to Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory. Our precious Avid was just a teeny 10 week old baby when he arrived home with us and at 15 years and 4 months we had to say goodbye. We had Dr. Christine Maxfield (Owner of In Home Euthanasia of MA & RI) come to our home for Avid's passing as I couldn't deal with our Vets Covid policy for euthanasia (I love our Vet dearly, but I just couldn't do it there. Our family wanted to be with him at the very end.) We opted for a Private Cremation and I am beyond impressed by the kindness of the staff at Forget-Me-Not.Dr. Maxfield transported Avid on our behalf to Forget-Me-Not, and processed the paperwork for us. Just a few short days later, I received a very nice voicemail from a woman named Jennifer who left her condolences and let us know that sweet Avid was ready to come home. When we arrived on site, I called to let them know that I was Avid's mom and I was there to take him home. I was greeted outside by a kind gentle giant, who saw that my eyes were swollen and red from the days of mourning. He quietly said "I am so very sorry, Mrs. McGrail" as he handed me the bag.In our adorable Forget-Me-Not reusable burlap bag we received Avid's ashes along with beautiful cards from both Forget-Me-Not staff as well as Dr. Maxfield, his tiny paw print, forget-me-not flower seeds, and his certificate of cremation. They also returned Avid's sweater he wore the day he passed and blanket he was wrapped with in a special bag that was labeled "Please Handle Gently."My humble thanks for taking such good care of my sweet boy. Here's a funny pic of what Avid loved to do when he was snooping around the house: Steal jumbo Crayola crayons from his human siblings.God bless.

I had to have my elderly dog put to sleep at the ER and he was taken here to Forget Me Not Creamatory and I choose the basic box at the ER vet as I didn't feel like looking at other options at that time and to be honest it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! The lettering is perfec, just all around perfect!! The paw print they did is equally as beautiful! I got him back within a few days in a beautiful satin bag with a nice rainbow bridge card. They did a wonderful job, I highly recommend them to all!

We had to let go of our sweet Italian Greyhound boy after 15 amazing years. Forget Me Not picked him up from the vet, completed our aftercare wishes, kept us informed all along, and returned him in beautiful, elegant royal blue packaging with certificate and poem. All within 7 days. They made a very painful time for our family just a bit easier to bear. And we are very grateful that he is back home with us. Thank you.

This is long but important information. I would give no star if that was an option. My family and I had to make a difficult and emotional decision to put down our sweet dog of 14 years due to a bad and painful tumor. We discussed options with our vet and he recommended Forget-Me-Not's Pet crematory in Northborough. Upon our Vet's instruction, I called Forget Me Not after she had passed and left a voice message advising them we would like a private cremation and the location of our Vet's office for them to pick her up. I received a return phone call from a woman discussing the cremation details and advising her again that we wanted a private cremation and her ashes returned to us. We where advised our pet would be picked up on Monday and cremation was to take place by Thursday of that week (Our Vet mentioned the same timeline as well as their website and pamphlet) I was further advised I would be notified when her ashes would be ready to be picked up.Several days go by and I had not been contacted therefore I called Forget me not for an update. They told me my pet had not been picked up yet. I called my Vet's office on Friday to ensure she had been picked up and was told she was just picked up that morning; a week after she had passed. This information very much disturbed me knowing our pet had been sitting at the Vet office for so long and we had expected to have her ashes back by then. I called forget me not again on Monday and the person who answered the phone could not find any information about my pet in their system. OK, at this point I'm very concerned and it had been 10 days. They said their computer was acting up and someone would get back to me as soon as possible. A few minutes go by and I receive a call from my Vet advising me of a mistake and our dog was cremated with a group of other pets therefore her ashes were gone!! He was very nice and apologized, I give him credit for making this difficult call but the whole situation was so horrible, shocking and frankly heartbreaking. We not only had to go through the tough situation of loosing our dear pet but to have this happen on top of it!I sent Forget me not an email requesting someone explain to me how this happened and why it appears that none of their Comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures they advertise were followed? Why wasn't the following checkpoints followed:Information in their automated tracking software ?A Stainless Steel ID tag that is supposed to remain with the pet throughout the process ?A holding container and ID tag is filled out and attached to the container from the Vet ?After cremation the pet's remains go into an Urn with both the ID Tag and Stainless Steel Tag ?A Certificate of cremation with pet's name & her family's last name stainless steel # tag and date of cremation, signed & returned with our pet's remains ?How did this happen? This is a business that advertises how careful they are in ensuring pet owner's wishes are carried out and they are tagged and tracked carefully and tracked with software! With all these measures, how did this happen? They made an emotional event even more difficult for our family! Our family not only lost our dear pet but her ashes are gone as well.We deserve an answer to what happened. Forget me not never replied to my email that I know they received. The only response from forget me not was a phone call after the manager received my email but no answers to date. We trusted this company would perform and follow the steps they advertise with expectations we would have our pets ashes back home. This is not the final outcome we requested from Forget Me Not and are very disappointed in their services. Beware to anyone thinking of using their services.

This is the only place that didn't give me my pet fur back and I'm disgusted and angry. You have to make a special call-in? I was told this after I found out! How am I supposed to know that when ALL other crematories have it and there is no warning/option? Out of 4 places I've had cremations - this is the ONLY time I haven't gotten fur back. I'm hurt and angry and I cannot get that back - it's ashes now.

I chose to personally deliver my beloved pup, Maddie, to Forget Me Not for cremation. I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the woman who took my initial call to everyone I met in the office, I was treated with kindness & compassion. Maddie was my 16 year young black lab mix & the love of my life. Derek met me upon arrival & I instantly felt "good" about my choice for Maddie's cremation. When I thanked him for his kindness, he said something like "You're welcome, it's my job to try to help ease some of the pain of your loss." I responded, "You're very good at it & it's very much appreciated."Thank you to everyone at Forget Me Not. 💗

The staff here truly understand what a pet means to the family that has lost them and how to best interact with them while they go through end of life care. They are phenomenal!!! I can't begin to express how gentle, understanding, patient and kind they all are. They treated my dog with the utmost respect and dignity and were very helpful in answering all my questions. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Top notch professionals!

From the moment we called to say our dog/family member of almost 13 years passed away they showed us the utmost compassion .They took a very sad situation and made it better for us. We highly recommend this facility and staff.

Losing my Bella was the hardest thing I have ever been through. The staff at Forget Me Not were wonderful from the minute I walked through the door. You could tell they really cared and know that my Bella was family. They were very kind and walked me through the the steps since I have never lost a pet before. I live more than an hour away but the drive was worth it and I was able to pick her up and take her home within a few days. I would never let my baby be shipped in the mail. She was my princess and I wanted to honor her memory til the end.

The staff were so nice and understanding. They respected our grief and handled everything professionally. The pawprints were beautiful and high quality.

Losing our sweet girl was so hard and nothing can change that, but the add-ons we got with her ashes: a booklet to help us understand that grieving for her is natural and seeds to plant to remember her, were very special. Thank you. Re: Annie #114116

They have such warm hearts in a time of distress. We had our dog return home to us like we just stepped outside for a breath of fresh air. They cared for her like family to us. Thank you so much xo

A truly great place for grieving pet owners. My kitty Cookie of almost 19 years was well taken care of with a lot of respect and compassion. Thank you for all your work and sympathy.

My beloved Chihuahua, Mikey, of 17 years passed away on a Sunday morning. We brought him to the emergency vets and they held him until Forget Me Not would come pick him up on Tuesday. At first I was apprehensive that my dog was going all the way to MA when we are from the Capital Region, NY area. On Tuesday, I received a call from them. I wish I remembered the lady's name I spoke to. She was so sweet and supportive. She explained everything really well and gave us different options. She kept reassuring me my baby was in good hands. When I picked him up at our local vets, the box was wrapped in care. They put in resources and a gift for us that we will never forget. Your kindness will always be remembered. I highly recommend this place.Thank you for your work!

This awful experience I am going through has been made more stressful because of this company. First, I was given the wrong shipping information. I thought for a good portion of my day that my Hershey was picked up by a stranger in NY. Then I was told it was a "miscommunication" I DID NOT accept that answer. After I proved that I did get the wrong information I got a call and an apology, but then Hershey's ashes didn't show up when they were supposed to. I was told my kittens ashes would be here yesterday. I waited all day (even though I had a lot to do) because someone needed to be there to sign for him......nothing shows. Now I have to leave work and miss out on money I desperately need because of all his vet bills towards the end of his life had piled up. I honestly don't even trust that when the urn comes today IF the urn comes today, it will be my Hershey and not someone else's loved one. The only reason I used this service is because the animal hospital works with these people. If you can use ANYBODY ELSE.0 Stars!

Thank you for being very caring and helpful during our difficult time of loosing our dog, Macie of over 11 years. I wanted to order everything they nicely offered to have many memories of her. They did such a nice job on the clay and ink paw prints, ink nose print and lock of hair. The urn was beautiful and they went out of their way to give us a custom matting in a color I preferred over the green color offered. It was so thoughtful so I didn’t have to worry about getting a new matting made at a local store. Thank you again for your compassion and all of your help.

Every single person I spoke with at Forget-Me-Not was kind, caring, sympathetic, accommodating and professional. I am incredibly thankful for the consideration given me and my sidekick of 15 years, Ninja. I am so, so happy with the ceramic paw prints (silver with her name on them). They understood my devastation and even though we never met face to face, I truly feel that Forget-Me-Not cared for me and what I am going through. Thanks to the Staff for helping to make this incredibly difficult time and process I've never been through before seamless and efficient.

My beloved cat was sent to Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory via Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain. After selecting a private cremation via paperwork, we were told by Angell that Forget-Me-Not would email us with options for urn choices, if we wanted them to do a paw-print pre-cremation, etc. This unfortunately was not the case.My family and I were not contacted by Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory for some time, so after about a week we reached out to Angell who confirmed my email address and said they'd reach out to Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory.A few days later, I received tracking information from them that said my cat was on his way back to us. I was shocked that I didn't get to choose my paw print and urn options like I was told.Unfortunately for my family and I, my cat was returned in an unfinished wooden box, with no paw print. As you can imagine as a pet parent/lover/advocate, I was (and still am) deeply upset.I contacted Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory to explain the situation and asked that they send me an urn and they said I'd have to go through the vet for this. While I'm waiting on the vet to call me back, I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with the lack of compassion from Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory. One would assume that they understand the trauma of putting your pet down, and take ownership for cremating that pet without even trying to touch base with their owners, besides one email that bounced. They should have made more of an effort to contact me and my family before cremating our pet.I hope this never happens to another pet family again. We are so grief stricken and disappointed with this whole situation.

We recently lost our beloved dog Bama. Forget me not, was absolutely amazing. When the man came to pick him up from our home he was amazingly kind and I truly felt like he loved our boy. When he returned Bama’s ashes a few days later, I got the same sense that he truly loved our boy. Thank you for taking such good care of him and bringing him back home!

Our pup Ruby crossed the rainbow bridge suddenly. The specialist at Mass Vet sent her here for cremation and I am so thankful! They waited a bit to call me (which I liked) and started the call with a sincere condolence for our loss, reassuring me that my baby was in good hands. At the time, I was barely able to think, let alone make such heart-wrenching decisions. I cannot thank Jessica (?) enough for her compassion and patience as she walked me through my options. I have never had to cremate a pet before and had no idea what to ask. She slowly went through it, and when I hesitated to decide, told me I could take time and call her back. One of the things I loved most about my pup was her feet, and I had serious regret about never making a mold of them... I was so happy when she offered this service for free. It was like she read my mind! They also delivered Ruby to our primary vet, sparing us a very sad hour plus drive to get her.We chose the basic package, which was a simple bamboo urn and private cremation. I was expecting a cardboard box at pickup (I had a cat growing up and that's what he was returned in). No way! Inside this nice tote bag was a carefully packaged urn, 3 ink paw prints in envelopes, a beautiful poem about the rainbow bridge, a pamphlet about coping with pet loss, a commemorative pin, and some forget-me-not seeds to plant in her memory. It more than exceeded my expectations for the price! The bag and all of its contents were marked with the proper name and ID#, which demonstrates the care with which they handled her.I was impressed with this business from start to finish. I feel blessed to have happened upon them at such a terrible time.

Recently lost our loveable and sweetheart cat. He is a family member and our best friend. It is a very difficult time for us to deal with this sudden lost. Called the other company, I didn't feel the person pick up the phone call really care about my cat.Called this place the next day. The person answered the phone call is kind and understanding. I drove a long way to send my cat here and choose Forget Me Not services. We got the baby back quite quickly. I'm sincerely thankful with the kind and respect for us and our baby. They can relate the hole in your heart, and make this hard time as smooth as possible...

They took perfect care for my cat. I had her for 22 years and she was loved by everyone. I chose to have her cremated and saw the reviews for Forget Me Not and am so glad I took her there. They were genuinely caring as well as informative and my girl came home with everything I asked for and more. I highly recommend them and thank them for the care they took and returning my animal home to me safely.

Before you go here for your pets cremation listen to this story. A year prior to my last visit I went to this facility for the first time to have one of my pets cremated. The people were very pleasant and compassionate, and the prices were very reasonable. They did not take advantage of you in the situation you were in.A little over a year later another pet of mine had passed away so I had decided to use this facility again for cremation services. Boy was that a mistake! I wish I had shopped around because this place had become under new management and the prices have doubled and triple for some services. If I had known this ahead of time I would not have went there because the prices were outrageous! The new people that have taken this place over are all about money and do not care about your pet! There are many places in the area that perform the services that are more reasonable than this place. I have several pets at all times and I will never go back here again for cremation services because I do not support greedy money hungry mongers that take advantage of people when they are down and out. This new management knows what it’s doing and that it’s taken advantage of a person in a time of morn. Honestly to charge $300 for an urn that I bought a year earlier for less than 100? And then a keychain urn that costed me less than $30 was over $70 a year later. This is what kind of scumbags have taken over this place. Take my advice shop around before you go here! because I will never go back here!

I don't know how they do it but God bless these folks. Our big boy Zeus passed away suddenly on 11/25/19. He was a rescue and we only had him for four short years. My wife and I were (and still are) absolutely devastated. After I found my pup had passed in the morning I gave them a call and was able to come in right away. I had wrapped him up in a blanket and my wife and I brought him in straight away. The staff was very compassionate and took good care of him. I wish I could remember the woman's name that assisted us but she was awesome and very compassionate. They put him on a table and set him in a viewing room. I didn't want to see him like that just yet so we left him there as we discussed what services we'd like. We then went back into this private room and was able to say our goodbyes and such. It was so very tough and heartbreaking but the room set the perfect tone for the situation. We were able to spend some time with him one final time. We knew it'd be really hard for the holidays and thankfully they were able to get him back to us very quickly. I received a call the next day in fact. However I wasn't able to pick him up until 11/27/19. The whole process was great and all the staff I dealt with was very sympathetic. Picking him up was just about as tough as dropping him off. The staff was just as compassionate and I had to do my all not to break down when they handed me him. Now he is back with us, this really will be Zeus's furever home. Thank you again so much for what you do. It does help coping with our loss.

We lost two of our beloved cats this summer, and Forget Me Not was consistently professional and compassionate. Even the most basic option includes a lovely poem and keepsakes along with the ashes themselves in a tasteful wooden box. I especially want to commend Liz at the front desk. When our second kitty, Dart, was suddenly and tragically killed, Liz stayed late (even cancelling her plans for that evening) so that she could receive his remains and was tremendously understanding and kind to my husband and I when we arrived. Highly recommend Forget Me Not.

Forget me not and specifically, Michael, were absolutely amazing. Michael treated me like a family member and made one of my family’s worst days into an experience built on compassion and empathy. Not only was service and hospitality 11/10, we got to bring our boy home so very quickly. Thank you

We just got our ferret back today. We were so happy with what we received. I found the price to be modest when I first contacted them. But after receiving everything and seeing the way they treat their customers I think the price was awesome! They were all so sweet and everything feels like it was made with love and respect. I will recommend to everyone!❤

We just got our guinea pig's remains back today. Forget me not made this extremely difficult experience as stress-free as it could possibly be. They were very compassionate, helpful, and kind, and I felt very reassured that my boy was in good hands. The price was definitely reasonable for the wonderful service they provided, and I would highly recommend to other grieving pet owners.

I've been here a few times. Personally recommend. Calm environment and super understanding and compassionate staff

Thank you.

Thank you all for the kindness shown in the passing of our sweet Georgie. We appreciate the professionalism and compassion given to us at such a sad time. Thank you so much,Lea and Larry MacDonald

We couldn’t have asked for better. Everything was perfect. The little touches were wonderful. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our world, Stella.

The staff were patient and kind. I picked a beautiful urn for my dear Miss Kitty along with clay imprints of her two from paws, which were engraved with her name. They have a nice selection of urns and memorial items to choose from and they took good care of my loved one. Thank you, Forget Me Not, for making a difficult time a little bit easier.

My little beloved hamster passed away two nights ago, and I hesitated what was the best choice to make. So I came to conclusion that i wanted her to always be with me. I’m so happy that I found this place. From the moment I called, Jen was so sweet and helpful with this whole process. I would recommend any one to come here to have their pets cremated. She asked me if I would like to have her paw prints on a clay plate and that was the best choice I’ve made, opening up the box on the way home shed tears to my eyes because I could feel the paw prints. And that very moment, it felt like she isn’t really gone. Thank you so much for your kind services for every animal, it means so much to me!

On Monday, April 6th, my elderly friend's cat died. She told me on the Sunday, she didn't think he was doing good. Then on Monday, I received a call at 7:00AM that Jimmy had passed. I really didn't know what to do, especially with all that is going on. I called the local Police, Animal Control and a local vet. None of them could help. They suggested Forget Me Not and said they pick up the animal. Well I called and spoke with Kathy. She told me due to the virus they aren't picking up. I explained the situation and was put on a brief hold. She said they would do that if the cat could be placed on the steps, obviously in something.I explained to Kathy to please let me know when the driver was 10 minutes out as she walks very slow. This was done. My friend was very upset, especially at this time, being isolated and her beloved pet had died. When the driver arrived, she was looking out through the window and he said "don't worry we will take good care of him". That made her feel so happy.I know this is long, but I can't say ENOUGH about Kathy and all the folks there. Everyone is stressed with this horrible virus. The folks there showed such compassion, kindness and went above and beyond especially through the this difficult time in history! Dealing with them, you would never even know the world is different.I know we ALL want our pets to live forever, but when the time comes for them to cross the "Rainbow Bridge" I HIGHLY recommend them. They truly treat you as if it were their family memberAgain, THANK YOU for all you did. Please be safe

I was very happy with Forget Me Not. The urn I chose is beautiful and very well made. I love the brass plate, and the clay paw was well done. Everything came in a nice tote. They added forget me not seeds and a paw pin. I would highly recommend. The only complaint I have is, I chose an urn off the website after someone told me to go to the website to look...when I called back I was told the one I chose was discontinued. They should keep inventory on the site up to date, or tell people which ones are discontinued before they spend time and tears looking. But I'm still very happy with what I have...And their prices are extreamly reasonable

I can not express my gratitude enough for forget me not. My best friend pup, passed a week ago. The devastation was incredible. Forget me not picked up my Annie girl on a tuesday and had her ready to come home in less than 24 hours.Everyone that I spoke to was incredibly passionate and understanding. They returned my girl to me and helped to heal my heart a little.Thank you so much forget me not, I truly appreciate everything.

My first kitty Peanut passed away in September 2020, she was privately cremated at Forget Me Not and her remains came back to me in a beautiful wooden box along with her paw imprint on clay. And a packet of Forget Me Not flower seeds. When my second kitty Ollie passed August 2021 I made arrangements for him to be taken to Forget Me Not too. Staff is incredibly kind and patient, understanding and compassionate! Knowing my kitties were at a good place like Forget Me Not made it easier to grief.

Given the heartbreaking situation, these people were extremely professional and helpful in every way and made a rather terrible experience bearable. Our Honor arrived safely back home and we would like to thank you very much for your incredibly professional service! As a loving pet owner, I can highly recommend Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory to anybody wanting the best for their beloved pet!

These folks are the most kind, caring, and compassionate people you will ever meet (or talk to on the phone, since I've not actually met them). Over the years, I have had a few pets pass on and Forget-Me-Not has handled every one of their cremations. I love how helpful they are when you talk over the phone and how they say "her/him" when talking about your pet instead of "your pet". They provide a difficult service with the utmost grace and respect.

We lost our beloved Chester after 10 years of love and companionship. It was one of the hardest days of my life. We called Forget-Me-Not and they had us to come right in. When we got there he was still finishing up with a pet, so we had to wait a few minutes before he could take Chester back. As we waited the staff was caring and compassionate as we sat telling him stories of Chester and showing him pictures. You can tell they really care about what they do. I was comforted in knowing that Chester was handled with care and dignity. It warmed my heart when he told me that he always gave them a little pet before the cremation. We have 3 other fur babies at home; I hope it will be a long time before we have to use Forget-Me-Not again, but when the time comes they will be the ones I call. Thank you so much for making a difficult task a little easier.

My wife and I lost our dear little Tot on 12/23/21. We entrusted her to Forget Me Not for an individual cremation. The ashes they returned to us were not hers. How can I be sure?*Tot was a 20-gram robo dwarf hamster. They sent back about 60 grams of ashes.*I understand that people make mistakes. This was a particularly egregious error, but if they had just been able to tell us what happened we might get some closure. They couldn't even give us a plausible theory. No answers, no promise to address the issue so that this wouldn't happen to any other grieving pet owners- just a refund. Utterly unacceptable.

Hana Rosen

I lost my beloved Shane on September 21, 2021. -He was 17 years old. Our family is heartbroken. My vet suggested Forget Me Not Crematory. I have always buried all of my pets. After a few days I called them on September 25, 2021 and booked a private cremation and informed her I would call back when I chose the urn. They booked Shane to be picked up on Tuesday September 28, 2021. On Monday, September 27, 2021, I called, chose my urn and gave my credit card. Although I was grieving, I felt better knowing everything was booked and although I had previously buried all of my pets, he would be cremated with dignity as he was so special to our family. On Tuesday, I received a call from Forget me not telling me they had picked Shane up from the Feline Hospital in Salem, MA on the 21 and they had already cremated him in a group. He passedthat very morning. She was not only cold and rude, but didn't take anyresponsibility for this error. When I had spoken to them the 2 times previously, no one ever informed me of this and had even booked picking him up on the 28th. In fact, they never called me when they picked up Shane to inform me, they had him and to confirm his cremation with me. My poor baby is gone and I have nothing left of him.BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They don't care at all. They didn't even know where my cat was. THEY ARE SHAMEFUL. DO NOT USE THEM. Make them take some responsibility for their error. I am so upset and angry over this. OH WELL is not a sufficient excuse.

This place is THE BEST! They are very compassionate, caring, and respectful. l put my cat to sleep after 15 wonderful years. He went to sleep on a Sunday and they were able to fit me in for private cremation the next day. They use a metal tag that stays with your pet to ensure proper identification throughout the process. Forget-Me -Not will be the ones providing the aftercare for all of my pets because my pets deserve it,
Alyssa M
Absolutely amazing company. They gave us our sweet Russell back in under a week and included a beautiful paw print mold and poem. There were even seeds to plant in his memory. Thank you for making one of my most painful losses less painful. Your compassion and respect is incredible.

We lost our Sweet Pea a month ago. Never heard of a Pet Crematory, now I want to tell everyone what a wonderful, meaningful place this is.We were met with open arms that hugged us in such a caring way. Sarah and her team couldn't have been kinder. We had a Witness Wake, which I never heard of either,. I was away when our dog died so being able to see and hold her was so needed. I'll always remember this experience. Thank you, I will never "Forget" you all.

I recently lost my cat, and was recommended to come here for her cremation, and i didn’t regret it at all. the staff was so kind, and apologetic for my loss. they did all the right things, and i really felt they cared and were sympathetic towards the situation. thank you to the staff members who helped me get through this rough time, and made it possible for me to bring my baby home

Thankful for you guys, for making this experience very smooth for my family and I. Maya was very helpful over the phone, and Michael you are an angel. I appreciate the support and how easy you made todays experience be. Forever will be thankful 🤍

I've had two cats put down and cremated through forget me not. They need to step up their game now that my recently deceased cat was cremated elsewhere! Forget me not only gave me a cedar box, with no name on it. That's it. And I had to go pick it up at forget me not or else I would have had to drive back to the animal hospital which is further away. The other pet crematorium gave me a wooden box with attached picture frame (so I can put my pet's photo in it, for display). And they gave me a little bottle with fur clippings.AND they gave me a ceramic stone paw print with pet name engraved on it. And entire thing was mailed to my home for no extra charge.

They handled my baby with dignity and respect. The turn-around was very quick, we got his ashes back the day after we dropped our dog off. He was 18 years old and was with our family since he was a few months old. We've suffered a profound loss but at least we have our baby back home with us where he belongs.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I have never had such a warm compassionate experience as I have had with Forget Me Not. The staff goes above and beyond. I lost my cat of 15 1/2 yrs recently and it brought me so much comfort speaking with Stephanie in helping me choose the urn for him, they returned him to me in a timely fashion.

Heart felt thank you to Forget Me Not Pet Crematory for all they've done to assist me in taking care of my beloved rabbits remains. Everyone that assisted me was extremely kind and understanding, professional beyond measure. You made a very difficult time easier, and I will forever be grateful.

This disgrace of a place took my Children’s lifelong dog, my dog love & baby…they took him when he died to cremate him and all I purchased was 5 clay footprints. One for each of my boys, and one for me, to remember our pup by.They cremated him and forgot to first make the clay prints I paid for. Afterward (5 weeks later) when I called and inquired about when to expect the clay prints, the person who answered the phone, gave me the bad news & offered me keychains as a condolence prize…I never heard from their management or received any contact to apologize or look to make amends. They are a disgrace and should not be entrusted with any pet you have loved remains.

As soon as I walk through the door with tears streaming down my face I was greeted right away. I was treated like family. they know the feeling of a lost loved one! They aren’t out to get money from you!!! people say it’s an animal but it’s really like a child to me she was my daughter Chin.I can’t thank them enough for letting me have my private ceremony and private witness crematory. I have my necklace I got it yesterday with her ashes and I love it! I am so lucky to have found someone who loves animals just As much as I do!R.I.P. Chin mommy loves you forever and always! Your team has changed my life forever! I will be forever grateful until I see you again, thank you for all you have done for my daughter 17 years old Chin. 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Thank you for making this process a quick and easy one. The included in the price urn is so much nicer than I expected! They sent a packet of flower seeds for us to plant as well as a grief guide and paw print pin. They were very fast in returning our kitty to us, which certainly helped the grieving process.

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory. Our vet made the arrangements for our Beagle Minnie's cremation and this past Monday I visited their office to pick up her remains. When I got home, I didn't know what to expect when I opened the white cardboard box that contained her ashes. Inside I found a beautiful wooden box was wrapped in bubble wrap with a package of Forget-Me-Not seeds and the Rainbow Bridge poem. It was a small thing to include with her remains, but such a thoughtful touch. Their care and attention to detail with my beloved pet's remains is most appreciate and I highly recommend their service.

I've used them since they opened. I'm in the pet field & have recomended them to many. However, the owner has become so rude through the years . Now, his staff is following his lead & their awful. One girl at the main desk when I picked up my dog, was SO rude & disrespectful, argumentative over a question I asked, I am done. I've found another company to recomend, I've called ever pet professional I work with and asked them to reconsider using Forget Me Not. If your going to be rude & insulting, don't run a business. Especially one like this. They don't care how they treat the owners if the animals, how do they treat our beloved pets? I'm not giving them another chance.

I cannot thank the kind and caring folks of Forget Me Not enough. Losing a beloved family pet is one of the hardest things I had to go through, especially after calling several other crematories who did not show a fraction of care or respect that Forget Me Not did. They had great prices, and their website helped us tremendously by giving prices and pictures of possible urns for my beloved Zeldah. Thank you for making a terrible and heartbreaking day so much easier.

Great people run this place. When our car Tammy died early last year, we emailed them figuring we would have to wait to get her creamated, they took us right away and they were very nice. They didn't have space to let us wait and watch the process, but they did a privet cremation at our request. I can't recommend this place enough. My heart go's out to all of those who lose a loved one, if your looking for a crematorium to handle your beloved pet, I recommend them. The place looks low key, and shady from the outside, but inside it's filled with people who really care about you, and your pet. They also don't over sell and attempt to get you to get a more expensive package.Thank you forget me not.
Jennifer Foley
Best place, ever. I can not put into words how thoughtful, empathetic and well-run this place is. I have taken both of my dogs here and always felt (and knew) they were in the absolute best of hands. I can not recommend Forget-Me-Not enough.

I cannot find enough words or the right words to express how amazing, kind, caring and compassionate forget me not staff has always been to my veterinary practice. Today they went above and beyond to help my aunt who is a frail senior citizen. Her beloved Koda passed away this morning in her bed with her. He has been her faithful companion thru her cancers and all lifes problems. When he passed at home alone with her on a Saturday morning she was inconsolable. I called forget me not before office hours during the pandemic. I recieved a call back in minutes from Seth! He said he was on his way to my aunt's house. My aunt was now frantic! She didn't know how she was going to let her beloved Koda go. I was not able to calm her. When Seth arrived my aunt said he immediately put her at ease. She said his kindness and respect for Koda was more than she could have asked for. Seth was then focused on my aunt and her well being! THANK YOU SETH FOR MAKING THE HARDEST DAY IN HER LIFE EASIER! Thank you to all the staff at forget me not for all you do everyday.

Corinne Mitchell

They did the most amazing job with my handsome buddy and my very special cat.

...after losing my two dogs, within 2 weeks of one another, I was in such deep grief, I was barely able to think. If it had not been for the kind, caring and helpful staff at Forget-Me-Not, I would have been unable to arrange for the best possible outcomes for their cremation. They went over, above and beyond to pick up one of my dogs that had been transported to another crematory and brought him back so that they could be laid to rest together. Thank you for helping me through such a difficult, heart-breaking time.
Mike
Handled the cremation process for my Shepherd wonderfully. Thank you.

Our beloved dog, Lily Lou, passed away and we are all grieving. Forget-Me-Not has helped in this grieving process by being prompt, professional, compassionate and caring. Thank you Forget Me Not for all that you do!

My first experience was amazing. My second was different but not bad. Please continue to hire people who perpetuate a good code of ethics, especially for the behind the scenes jobs. These aren't bags of waste, they are family remains of beloved family members.

My first experience was amazing. My second was different but not bad. Please continue to hire people who perpetuate a good code of ethics, especially for the behind the scenes jobs. These aren't bags of waste, they are family remains of beloved family members.

This place took care of both of my elderly dogs about two years apart. They offer such beautiful pieces for your pet and they treat you so compassionately. They really do make you feel like they are sorry for your loss and that they understand how important your pet was to you. It felt genuine. There is also a quick turnaround for the cremation so you are not without your pet for long. They made it as easy as possible, even during Covid.

My final viewing of my Husky became a lasting horrible memory due to her body being mishandled and then shown that way. Here is what happened, I called forget me not, just before the passing of my beloved Husky. I set everything up as I had used this company in the past. When my dog passed she was beautiful, just looked like she was sleeping and at peace. The viewing was set for 4 days later, so on the day of, I called and talked to Stephenie and with me knowing the whole process and what can happen with the unfreezing, I asked her if my Husky was ready for viewing, she said yes. I asked if everything went alright with the thawing, she said Yes and that our dog was ready to be seen.I had already been with my dog at the end and personally did not need a viewing, it was more for my mom who wanted to see her one last time and I figured I could say one final goodbye. We got there and were taken to the back room and upon walking in, things became a nightmare. I looked at her, she was all curled up awkwardly, no longer in the sleeping position she passed away in, her nose was bent slightly and there was something wrong with the side of her face, looked lumpy. My mom went closer while I just walked out of the room. I talked to the front desk, she claimed the dog had been out for 24 hours.I walked back in, looked some more (Warning graphic) and saw that the right side of our huskies face had her bottom lip badly out of position and what appeared to be either her tongue or blood out of her open lips. My mom said to not look at her from that side. I understand this is probably hard to read, but this was way harder to look at. My mom pet her, said she felt frozen, and then she left the room and I said my final goodbye to my dog, standing as far to the side as I could, as not to look at her face and just get the outline of her head. I wanted to say something to the front desk before leaving but did not want to upset my mom.Driving home, I called and complained. It turned out Stephenie never looked at the dog when she said she was ready, just told me she was ready for viewing. She said sorry and that she would tell the managers. Later on and with my mom and I still very upset by the way the dog looked, I called the managers myself. I talked to Sara, who said she was very sorry and that I was getting a full refund and that they would deliver our dog's ashes to the house personally. Said she our dog was not meant to be seen that way and that they made a mistake and that they would be talking to all at fault the next day. Now, 2 days later I get the dogs remains and they did give me a full refund and the owner himself delivered her to me. I am giving Forget me not 2 stars instead of the lowest because they owned up this terrible mistake and were honest about what happened. The owner said that they got a couple of dogs mixed up, for which was ready for viewing and we were shown our dog completely untouched and in the position, they froze her in. She was not ready to be seen by anyone and there was a failure from multiple people that lead to the dog looking the way she did and being shown to us that way. He claimed that they are changing all there protocols with how they handle the bodies of the pets they pick up and how they get them ready for showings and freezing the bodies. I respected the honesty and I am sure this was not their intention, but still, this never should have happened. All this said me and my mom were mortified by the last image of our husky. To try and move on from this, I thought it best to share this account, only because I want to make sure this never happens to another person again. To have said nothing would be an insult to our passed loved one who died looking as beautiful as the day I got her, only to end up looking awful due to the way she was handled. I will always remember my girl the way she lived and I will do everything in my power to try and erase the final imagine of her, but it's going to be very hard after what happened. R.I.P my baby Lu
