I called yesterday after my friend’s dog passed suddenly. A gentleman answered the phone. He seemed nice. I told him the situation. I had money for a payment, but not full payment, due to me starting a new job last week. He said just pay something. Whatever I could. Those were his words. No specific amount, and pay the rest of the balance before pick up. He said he would also give me a special rate of $200 to help me out. The partial payment is due same time as the paperwork. We agreed. He said he confirmed with the owners. I called my friend and she began to make her way there. I then called the funeral home back. I explained to the gentleman that if I could have until 3:05 to make a payment, so I could make a larger a payment. I was aware that they close at four. The gentleman said he would ask the owner for the 5 minute grace (payments and drop offs for dogs stop at 3. I didn’t know this.) He said he would run it by the owner. Then he gets back on the phone, and reneged on our original agreement. The price magically changed from a flat $200 rate to $240. He then told me that my friend couldn’t drop her dog off without at least $120 for a payment. I then asked him why did he give me conflicting information originally? He casually tried to talk around the question, and he was quite smug about the whole situation. I didn’t curse at him or berate him. I didn’t even yell. Neither did he thankfully. But I let the gentleman know that I would be coming to Google to talk about my experience. How shameful of this place to treat someone like this on a day that’s something traumatic for them. This place is very unprofessional and they lack sympathy. I worked in the funeral business for many years. And I would never treat anyone like this. Pets are family too. I understand that death is a business. But at the same time It’s something we all experience. And I hope these people are giving others the type of treatment that they want in the after life.

I had my small mixed-breed Schnauzer. I had him Cremated there approx 2 yrs ago, I think, and the price for Cremation was reasonable, I think btwn $150-$175 and was easy to find.He was polite, considerate, passionate towards my dog and gave me a small white snap box with my dog's ashes inside wrapped tight.Now my male adult cat, "Copper" he just passed away today on 10/18/'24, approx btwn 9-10 this morning. I'll miss him, just like I did with my small mixed-breed Schnauzer, "Cookie".

Can’t say enough about how they handled the death of our cat. Warm and friendly demeanor, particularly in allowing my 4 year old to be part of the selection process. It did wonders in helping him get over the loss of his first pet. Services were performed professionally, quickly and for a reasonable cost. I encourage everyone to patronize this business as your pets cross the rainbow bridge. 🐾

I had to put my cat down and west arundel was referred to me by a customer for someone else. I wasn’t expecting to need to use them for my own pet but I’m glad I had their information. They were wonderful. Polite, patient, understanding, prompt, and very well priced compared to other prices I received. In unfortunate circumstances like this I will refer them to people in my life for similar situations with their pets. Thank you west arundel crematory for your handling of buck

John and Linda were absolutely amazing. This was my first loss of a pet and I had no idea what to do or what to expect. My beloved Sonny (sun conure) passed away on Sunday. I called Monday and was greeted by John. He was compassionate and caring. Gave me all the details and the step by step process. He told me if I needed to think about it take my time. I called back a couple hours later to make the appt to drop him off. Linda was wonderful, she even asked me do you spell his name S-O-N or S-U-N. I knew I made the right decision to bring my boy here. Everyone assumes its S-U-N because hes a sun conure. When my husband and I got there John wheeled out a gurney. I was thrown back. Even tho Sonny was this little parrot, they treated him and us with the respect of any other animal or human. I picked up Sonny's ashes today (next day) greeted by John. I am so grateful for them, they made the worst time of my life, the worst experience a pleasant one. Would reccomend to anyone.

We dropped our fur baby off yesterday, they were so kind. They cremated her with her favorite blanket at our request. They also gave us the ashes today. The process was very fast and we are grateful. She didn’t sit in a fridge for a few days, she was taken care of immediately and that meant the world to us. Thank you guys.

West Arundel Crematory was so kind after the passing of my dog. All the staff I interacted with were calming and patient. They gave tips on how to care for my dog if he passed away after they closed. I received my dog in 24 hours, which was a relief to not have him away from home for weeks. My sincere condolences to those who've just lost a pet. I wish all my babies lived forever, but I sadly know they won't, but at least I know they will be taken care of here.

I don't normally write reviews but this place hands down made the loss of our 11 year old cat the best experience I could have hoped for, in such a sad time. Our baby died this am. I called to see about cremation and was informed we could bring him right in. We arrived w/in 18 minutes, were taken right back, picked out our baby's beautiful resting urn and contacted back this afternoon (same day) for pick up. We were pleased at the service we received from first call to pickup. Our baby never had to spend the night alone or away from home. Hands down highly recommend Donaldson's for the services of your loved ones. 🐱🌈🐾

Our 14 year old beagle Ben went to heaven on July 28, 2021. He passed in his sleep. Our vet was closed so we called the West Arundel Crematory which was only 10 minutes from our home. They were very professional and made us feel that they would take care of Ben with dignity. They did not push the most expensive urn on us and even said we could order one on line if we wanted to. We chose a simple oak urn and we were able to pick up Ben's ashes that afternoon. Thank you for making this painful process easier and we recommend them highly.

Always professional and courteous. We have taken two of our beloved pets to this business and we're always met with genuine sympathy and compassion. A man helped us with our pet onto a cart (she was a big Lab mix) and allowed us to spend a little more time with her to say goodbye. He explained each step of the paperwork without being pushy or inconsiderate. I highly suggest this business.

Recently, I experienced the death of my 18 year old cat Izreal. It was totally unexpected, and I wad a total loss on how to proceed. West Arundel Crematory was recommended by my Vetinarian and they treated my Izreal with the utmost respect. They made the process very easy and even brought out a gurney to load my Lil man on his final journey. After they walked me through all the arrangements, they allowed me a few moments to say my final goodbyes. Although a very emotional Situation, Bill made the process calm and respectful and easy to understand. I would recommend to others.

West Arundel Crematory cared for my late cat Marie. All the employees were kind and genuine towards our loss. Although I hope I won’t have to revisit anytime soon, I’ll trust them with laying any animal of mine to rest. I thank them greatly for returning my baby to me with haste.

Very accommodating of urgent request, and extremely respectful of pet cremains. They unexpectedly provided a Certificate of Cremation with the utmost polite customer service. Would recommend and will def use their services again, if needed.

I had to say goodbye to a beloved animal friend recently, who passed away at home. I decided to take him directly to the crematory, rather than using the vet as an intermediary.I felt it was more personal that way, it cost less up front, and I was able to select an urn of my choice (after the fact in my case), rather than getting the generic, expensive one that came with my local vet's arrangement. (check Amazon for urns, or elsewhere online)If you're reading crematory reviews, you or somebody close to you is likely in mourning. My condolences. It's a hard time, no matter the circumstances.West Arundel made the process smooth and easy, and the staff's attitudes were kind and gentle. Recommended for when you have the need.

Words can not describe the Excellent service we recently received at WA crematory. We especially want to Thank Donna for being so kind and compassionate to us during our visit to have our puppy Chloe cremated.Thank You Donna .

They were professional and kind. My partner and I took our recently departed cat Tommy on a Saturday morning, and I was taken aback to receive a call the following day; Tommy's ashes were ready. I was at work and his dad messaged me later that Tom's remains were back at home.

Last week we had to put our dog down due to illness. Upon arriving at West Arundel Crematory a man came out and put her on a guerney. He apparently didn't have her properly secured because she fell off and hit the ground. He never even apologized which I found unprofessional and tasteless . She meant so much to us and to see this happen was devastating.

They cremated one of my cats and a few years later, my mother's cat. In both instances they were professional and caring. I would recommend them to anyone.

I called to do business with this organization to find out if they're looking for additional clients the receptionist was extremely rude; she said that they're doing really well and slammed the fone down before I had a chance to say what my call was regarding... attitude is everything it doesnt cost anything to be polite
