Steve and Rebecca and the rest of their team were so easy to work with and pulled it off flawlessly with only about a two day notice . Could not be happier with the whole service . If your internment is at Highview, then having the funeral there is a no brainer . Save some and make the whole unpleasant experience a bit more tolerable.

Can’t say enough about Kay, Rebecca and Steve and how they helped us with the recent passing of our mother/mother-in-law. Her funeral was on the absolute worst weather day in April and supposed to be a grave side service. They got us through it and made some quick timely decisions so that our attending family and friends would not have to be drenched and uncomfortable during the service. Their attention to all other critical details was also very much appreciated during this difficult time. We have had many long term dealings with the Highview staff and they are always great to work with. We highly recimmend!

We are so thankful Highview was recommended to us before my dad's passing. From the first phone call through the entire process their team have been wonderful to work with. Everyone was respectful and compassionate. Highview was able to meet all of our needs and offer guidance in areas we hadn't thought about. They had plenty of options and were very transparent about cost. Our interactions were comfortable and we didn't feel pressured; Steve created a safe environment to discuss arrangements. I highly recommend Highview Funeral Services and cemetery. Our friend chose Highview for his future burial needs after looking at several other cemeteries. Highview is in a beautiful countryside setting and is well maintained. What a blessing Steve at Highview was to me and my family during the sad time when my husband died! He is a down to earth person not a stuffed shirt at a funeral home. He made us feel at ease and thoroughly went over everything. We even got to see the cremation area and ask questions. Very interesting! Steve followed up with me on the process of all the paper work that was involved. The daily Grief Notices that I signed up for have been very helpful as well as the monthly newsletters. Rebecca came after I had finished the process, but I have recently been in contact with her about my parents. She is also very helpful and knowledgeable. They are both kind and understanding during a sad time. I have recommended them to many people.

Highly professional, personable, and affordable service in a beautiful setting from start to finish. From initial consult to completion, sensible options and a caring attitude were provided. When we purchased our services Rebecca explained all the needed details with excellence. She also treated our bereaved Mother like family when she purchased her own future plan. When Dad passed and we said our farewells they handled everything without one glitch, which made a difficult process much easier. During a very trying visit to collect Dad's remains Rebecca acted with the utmost respect and sensitivity. Steve and Rebecca were always reassuring, putting us at ease, and are very knowledgeable. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! I truly can't put into words how grateful I am for the wonderful care, compassion, and attention to detail that Rebecca and Steve gave to my mother who passed in a tragic way just a week before Thanksgiving. As busy as they were every interaction with them was carrying, unrushed, attentive, and really treated our family as if we were the only ones there. I called Highview Funeral Home, as a last minute emergency as I had already arranged for a different Funeral Home to pick up my mother's body from the anatomy board where she had undergone an autopsy. The night before picking her up the other Funeral Home (Maryland Creamation Services) was very busy and became, rude, snappy, rushed, and hung up the phone on me before I was finished talking! I was appalled and felt so trapped, but definitely didn't feel comfortable with them picking up my mother, after treated me that way. It was the Grace of God that I called Highview Funeral Home and Rebecca answered. It was late in the evening and I really just expected to leave a message so I was very surprised, and I explained everything, she was incredibly sympathetic and told me not to worry. The next day she personally picked my mother up and cared for her with dignity and respect. Bathed her, washed her hair (which smelled amazing) brushed it nicely and prepared her with the clothes, blankets and sheets that we brought in. We had an unrushed viewing and my last moments with my mother were a true blessing. She looked so peaceful and I knew that she would be handled with care even after we left. From start to finish Rebecca and Steve were fantastic, and made an already difficult and unbearable situation manageable, peaceful and put us ease.

Wow, Rebecca and Steve were exactly what we needed. Making funeral arrangements was not a thrilling task to face during so much turmoil around the loss of a dearly loved family member, so after calling around and understanding the process, options, and yes, admittedly the cost, we settled on Highview because they were caring, professional, and flexible. So glad we chose them because Steve had amazing follow-through, doing everything he said he would do and more, and was quick to respond personally even on small things like our confusing request around the obituary publication. Highview Funeral and Cremation Services with the help of Rebecca Orr were professional , compassionate and helped guide me through each process of my brothers death. They picked the body up from Gilchrest Hospice Center, called to let me know he was in their care , sat with me and explained each option I had , knowing I was on a budget, and also allowed us the use of their beautiful viewing room for a service . They even personalized the back ground music to suit my brothers love of the Beatles softly playing . The personal care I received is above what my expectations were. I am forever grateful to them for making a very difficult and sad time in my life , a healing experience.

Ok so my mom was going to be cremated but decided to donate her body to science instead. So she was going to cancle the cremation and was told that there would be a small cancelation fee. We'll highviews cancelation fee is $500.00 . That to me is not a small cancelation fee $100.00 is a small cancelation fee not almost half of what a person pays . I consider that to be stealing . Highview funeral home needs to be put out of business. Robbing people like that what's wrong with you people just trying to get rich off the dead and the living .. maybe you should get a different insurance company that's robbing people of there money . Na I'll just continue with what I planned.

Wow, Rebecca and Steve were exactly what we needed. Making funeral arrangements was not a thrilling task to face during so much turmoil around the loss of a dearly loved family member, so after calling around and understanding the process, options, and yes, admittedly the cost, we settled on Highview because they were caring, professional, and flexible. So glad we chose them because Steve had amazing follow-through, doing everything he said he would do and more, and was quick to respond personally even on small things like our confusing request around the obituary publication. I’m grateful to them for supporting us so completely while our family sorted our way through a difficult time.

My mom's cremation and graveside service was at Highview. Steve was fantastic. I contacted him when my mom went into hospice and he was knowledgeable and professional. When meeting to make arrangements, he was kind, efficient and I felt that he was treating Mom with respect. The service was exactly what I had wanted for her. He was there taking care of everything so all I had to do wa show up. Thank you for everything.

During the most difficult time in our lives, Steve was absolutely wonderful. He was professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I’m sure my husband would have been so happy! Rebecca and Steve are very gracious people! They followed what they explained and said they would do, and took care of every detail all the way. They will guide you and make sure you don’t have to worry a thing. They are available 24/7, I hope they sleep! What a pleasant experience I had with them, especially with Rebecca Orr! Rebecca and Steve took the stress and worry away and they were so delightful. This was my first experience with making arrangements and I've heard Horror stories about other funeral homes but Highview is well worth their weight in gold. I highly recommend Highview. God bless you guys

We buried two people in our family in January and February of this year. Rebecca and Steve provided exceptional service. They were professional, comforting and very accomodating throughout the whole process. When making the funeral arrangements, they said, "Tell us what you would like and we'll do our best to make it happen!" They followed through on that promise!!

Highview Funeral and Cremation Services with the help of Rebecca Orr were professional , compassionate and helped guide me through each process of my brothers death. They picked the body up from Gilchrest Hospice Center, called to let me know he was in their care , sat with me and explained each option I had , knowing I was on a budget, and also allowed us the use of their beautiful viewing room for a service . They even personalized the back ground music to suit my brothers love of the Beatles softly playing . The personal care I received is above what my expectations were. I am forever grateful to them for making a very difficult and sad time in my life , a healing experience.
